A
laid
back
Waterloo
local.
.
The
Horse
&
Stables
is
located
near
a
busy
intersection
not
far
from
Waterloo
Station.
The
nearest
Tube
is
Lambeth
North
which
is
just
around
the
corner.
.
This
place
dates
from
the
early
19th
century,
originally
known
as
the
Horse
&
Groom
for
Wm.
Younger
&
Co.
There
have
been
a
couple
of
name
changes
in
recent
years,
The
Horse
in
2007,
then
The
Horse
&
Stables
in
2014.
.
The
decor
here
is
traditional
with
a
few
contemporary
touches
here
and
there.
This
is
a
medium
size
one
bar
pub
which
has
a
simple
but
good
size
servery
on
the
left
hand
side.
There
is
plenty
of
seating
throughout
the
pub,
my
favourite
area
was
the
oldschool
booth
with
the
Georgian
panelling
and
brown
velour
seat
covers.
Opposite
the
servery
are
a
group
of
comfy
booths
with
stylish
wallpaper
above
and
large
gold
framed
mirrors
across
the
wall.
.
The
beer
choice
was
keg
craft
focused
and
included
brews
by
local
London
breweries.
After
some
guidance
from
the
nice
chap
behind
the
ramp,
I
decided
on
a
pint
of
32
lager
by
@brewbynumbers
.
This
was
my
first
pint
of
32
and
I
really
enjoyed
it,
price
point
was
just
above
average.
There
is
a
traditional
pub
grub
menu
with
an
American
influence.
.
I
visited
around
5pm
on
Coronation
day
back
in
May.
On
entering
the
pub,
there
was
a
relaxing
vibe
and
a
overall
lovely
atmosphere.
The
soundtrack
was
an
eclectic
mix
from
the
Bee
Gees
to
rare
groove
soul,
loved
it.
The
service
was
great,
the
chap
behind
the
bar
was
very
welcoming,
courteous
and
as
mentioned
earlier
helpful
in
choosing
a
beer.
.
The
@horseandstables
was
a
very
enjoyable
visit
most
notably
for
the
friendly
and
welcoming
feel
here.
The
beer
selection
was
good
and
the
food
receives
positive
reviews.
This
pub
is
definitely
worth
a
visit
for
any
occasion.
