This place is lovely. It’s not big but it’s a good enough place for a 2 hour hang out with little one!

A small and educational farm for children and family outings, with a good sized child's play area, a neat outdoor garden area and outside seating for enjoying the fresh air during the warmer months, for a family or group picnic, whilst watching some horse riding, in an enclosed area. I didn't know how to get to the farm area so just took photos of the area near the cafe, at the entrance. The entrance is free but a £2 donation to the charities they support are highly recommended. An excellent city farm to encourage children to appreciate the outdoors and animals.

Visited today, we always make sure we support our local farm throughout the holidays/half terms. I booked for my two little ones to do the pony riding experience each which is one round each on the pony one at a time with two people assisting them. It's a nice experience to have despite my son only being 3 years old but he really did enjoy it as it was his first time. The farm overall has lots on and organise events and activities for all ages/stages often. Their website always has the full information and updates regarding the dates and times and costs which are usually not too deer. They have a small cafe and gift shop on site which also sells animal food £1 a bag which is also enjoyable for the children as well as the adults. We fed the goats today but the only sad point was that there were no pigs or llamas today. There is also a playground on site and picnic benches. We also took part in the meet in greet with a few of the smaller animals which is also one of my favourites. Tickets to the farm are free but must be booked in advance. The dates and times are online but the farm does run on donations so £5 a visit at least does help towards them improving things and taking care of the animals. Make sure to check it out if you pass or are local.

NEVER BOOK YOUR CHILD'S PARTY THERE! You will be very disappointed. Wasted money and ruined mood. £350 to stroke few animals for 10-15mins (it normally costs £2.50 per child) and feed the animals (the price of one bag is £1). We did not have enough bags, I had to leave the kids, run around the farm, looking for the responsible person. In terms of food... There were horrible looking sandwiches, carrot & cucumber sticks, few piecies of something looking like brownie. Children were given little bottles of "Fruit shoots". That's all. There was no water. Thanks God I had some snacks to put on the table otherwise it would have looked empty.

Lovely little Farm, definitely need a little more TLC but the kids absolutely love it there. I just wish some big organisation can help them out, to give them that boost they need. It can be an amazing place for all 🙏

It's really a great Farm with small place for children to play, also you can watch some kinds of animal like a cow, horse, chicken, pig ...etc. They have a coffee inside and small shop to buy some gift if you want.

3rd birthday party - Success and everyone had a great time. All the parents even commented what a great place to have a birthday. I got to the room early to set up before all my guests arrived but found it was already done. All I did was set up the cake table. Was so quick and easy. There was more than enough food - along the kids table was 3 types sandwiches on platters and 20 kids lunchboxes which was filled with a juice, pom bears, a chocolate and jelly. And cupcakes in the middle. Really impressed with the amount of food provided for the kids. I also liked the fact it was one big table so everyone was together instead of separate tables. We were then called for the pony rides which most of the children enjoyed. A few were too scared to go but the ones who loved it, got to have a second ride. Next was animal encounters which was great and then the children got a chance to feed the animals with the feed provided (there was more than enough to go around) Then it was time for lunch and cake. Before we knew it, 2 hours was up and party was over. Was a great morning. Only thing I would suggest is that they would allow a 3 hour party so it is not so rushed. Also, to update your website saying that no balloons are allowed. I did not know this so had already paid for balloons which went to waste.

Very friendly staff and a fun way to spend time with the family. Kids can see many types of animals and play at the small park. We love dropping by whenever we have time.

Free admission gives an amazing opportunity for lower income families to allow their children to experience the joy of different animals that they may not otherwise get the chance to see. For that reason alone it serves the community well and I witnessed so many children enthralled by the animals they saw and thrilled to have the opportunity to stroke and interact with them. It has a lovely atmosphere and feels tucked away and cosy. If you whizz round you will be finished quite quickly as it is not a big place, but I suggest taking your time and really getting to look properly. My children always want to walk around a second time, and what with the animal holding sessions, using the play area and having your own food or going to the cafe you can certainly make a full morning or afternoon. Pony rides are fun to add in too for your children. We have been about five times now and if you love animals you can never tire of seeing them again. Gorgeous little place and should be supported as children and families benefit enormously from the experience.

The farm is very small and not many animals can be seen or can be interacted with. The animals you see are your standard petting zoo animals. The major downpoint at this place is that it doesn't look loved more like a couple of cages and that's it. There are better looking farms out there. Overall a big disappointment but it was free so maybe that is why it looks the way it looks.

I felt as if the animals are not being taken care off as they should! The sheeps and lambs were visibly hungry. Not enough water for them too. The worker came and fed the 2 cows a tiny bit of leaves. That was not enough for a huge cow! He was also rude. Not really clean either. clearly they get a lot of donations, I hope they start taking care of the animals soon. Very upsetting for me to see that. Parking is free but VERY limited so get there early or you’ll be waiting until someone leaves, there’s no parking nearby either. The farm is also extremely small! The play area was over crowded.

I really don't understand some of those poor reviews: access to the farm is Free , they are living on donations but some people complaining that they had to pay 2.50£ for one round on pony... and that its too expensive 😂 are you serious? I am living 15min from the farm and regular coming there with my little one few times a week. The farm is small BUT it has such a good energy ! Staff is wonderfully, the animals are well treated and look relax & happy. There is some nice playground for the little ones and coffee shop with nice food. Honestly : cannot say a bad word !

Great farm which we completely stumbled upon by accident. Came here for Easter and took part in the Easter trail which was good fun. Good selection of animals and even horse and pony riding if booked in advance. The food from the cafe was a bit expensive but lovely all the same. Staff we encountered seemed friendly. The farm was busy but spacious enough to host all the people there. There’s even a playground which is a great addition. Animal feed is not too costly either. Would definitely recommend and it’s free!

They are now locking away animals unless you pay. Such a sad development. If they cannot fundraise from corporate then sack the fundraisers

A small farm, where the employees are mostly friendly. The pony you’re promised for rides turns out to be a horse, and even with a reserved time, the line can stretch long. The cafe? One of the filthiest spots I’ve stumbled upon recently—truly disgusting. With the toilets closed, your only option is a chemical loo, which is far from a pleasant experience. Getting to pet some of the smaller animals is a nice touch, though. The playground’s pretty small and not too well-kept. If you’re hoping to feed the animals, it’s hit or miss depending on when you show up. Given the farm’s trek from the city center, I wouldn’t say it’s worth the special journey.

Great place for the kids to visit and play and see the animals. It's free but they rely on donations to pay for the upkeep of the animals so please donate what you can afford. There's a shop where you can buy toys and gifts, you can also buy a bag of animal feed so the children can feed the sheep, goats and cows (not any of the other animals!), there's a playground and horse riding school too so there's so much to do. Definitely worth a visit!

It's for the kids. Yes, I enjoyed it more than I had expected even though it was very much as I remembered it over years of taking the kids to the farm. Today it was for the grandchildren. They did all those things again. Looking at the poultry in cages, watching the pony riders in the ring, asking for ice cream and washing their hands. Let me take the opportunity here to remind you to wash your hands (repeatedly) if you visit Deen City Farm.

Rude staff, was so excited to find a small fairly cheap place to take my 1 year old who loves animals. We got there and it’s small but quite clean and first of all there are chickens, ducks and turkeys whiccmy daughter was fascinated by. Then there were some rats, rabbits and guinea pigs which again were adorable. The cows, pigs, goats and sheep were out the back and you can use 50p coins to buy a tiny bag of food for them. My rating comes to the fact the staff refused to heat up my 1 year olds food in the microwave. Even though I was happy to buy a drink and donate money to the farm I was shocked at how unaccommodating they were for a small child. So my daughter cried most of the time we were there as they wouldn’t heat it. Won’t be going back... shocking service

The pony riding is a rip off. The fee is £2.5 per ride and an extra booking fee of £1. There is no details about how long is the ride when you book it. The actual ride is only 1 small round took about 30 seconds, which mean £7 per minute and £420 per hour!! Ridiculous!!

I was volenteering at this farm for four weeks (today I left early due to complications with staff). I was lead to believe that this farm was a welcoming place to those that suffer with mental health, and big surprise, they weren't. I worked at the stables, most of the staff were okay, but there were two staff members who were treating me like absolute dirt. The cafe is overpriced, and if you want to eat something, then there's barely anything to choose from. I used to love this place when I was a child, but clearly, this location isn't the warm, welcoming farm I remember.

A wonderful urban farm to visit. As a visitor, entree is free, and you can feed the animals - sheep and goats - with animal feed for £1. An array of animals to look at, including ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, tortoise, donkeys, cows, birds, ducks, chickens and turkeys. I had my year 10 work experience here last year summer. One of the best experiences I've had. Since I love animals, I enjoyed interacting, feeding and looking after the animals, aswell as cleaning their pens. A great place to volunteer. Other facilities include relatively clean toilets, a place to wash hands, a cafe and bench areas to eat, a kid's playground, a souvenir shop, and a riding school.

Brilliant little unexpected farm in the city... my kids loved it and the tour it short enough so they don't start getting bored. will consider in the future also for the horse riding lessons but need to wait till they are 8 at least... PS never seen a rooster like the one in the pic - impressive creature!

Credit to staff and volunteers! Thank you! Great Farm for SW London. Kids loved all the cows, goats, alpaca, donkeys, pigs, horses, sheeps and more ... the one way system allows every visitor to have a fair time to admire and feed the animals. I vividly suggest to get feeding food from the kiosk at the entrance, animals really like it and will be gone really fast, we bought one per kid plus one for the adults, if you are not scared to hand feed them beauties that is. It's £1 per bag and priceless kids happiness. Couple of notes on the Cafe. Make no mistake, it's not a michelin star kitchen. That said (based on what we had), very nice omelette, maybe don't order the chorizo, smoked salmon is served in generous ammount, fair quality and at a sustained price. Over all it does fairly compliment the visit. Coffee: -"single espresso test" admittedly better than most places in the whole of SW London. This is a free venue, has free parking, next/part of Morden Hall National Trust. Hence, visit to the rest of the park it's a must. We had a great time! We will definetly go back!

I'm so sorry but it's the saddest farm I've even been to. Animals looked neglected and no fresh water provided ( super hot, sunny day ) maybe Instead of free entry you should charge visitors ( quite a lot of families ) a 1£ or 2£. I won't be back as it's breaks my heart.

Was pleasantly surprised at this nice animal shelter nestled in Mitcham locale. There is a nice cafe serving good food and snacks and hot and cold drinks, the prices may be a bit high but it is all contributing towards a good cause I guess. There is a shop where you could buy souvenirs and novelty items and the toilets were clean on the days I went there. Entry is free-ish, you could go in for free either by walk-in or online booking but it would be nice to make a donation at the entrance gate, any amount would do. Parking is limited to about 10 cars and is free until 5pm when you should have left anyway or you will be locked in until the next day. It was a great experience, the animals were friendly and you'll need to buy special pellets to feed them if you want, there is also pony riding lessons you can participate in but please book ahead for that. There are volunteer assistance so if that's your thing then please do go for it as I'm sure they appreciate all the help they can get. Cheers

I wanted to love this little farm as it’s local to us but the staff were so unhelpful at the info desk. I know it’s small farm that needs funding so happy to pay for extras such as getting up close to feed some of the animals and ridding a pony but it took longer to put the riding hat on than the ride actually lasted. It just feels like a little more effort could made to make visitors feel welcome

Nice little farm. The children get to pet the animals although they are just a few. The biggest disappointment is the information till and the cafe. The cafe is over priced and those at the infomation dest don't know much and give out the wrong information. It took me 3 days to find out all i needed to know about the pony ride. Day1 we were told that the pony ride is from 12pm to 2pm. Day2 (we returned specially for the pony ride) we turned up at 1pm and were told it is in fact at 12pm and last depending on how long the queue is. Obviously that day the queue was not very long. Day3(we managed to returned after our easter egg hunt) we turned up at the farm at 11.40am to find out that it is for children between the age of 2 to 7 years old. And all this time I have been turning up with my son who is 10 and by then they recognised us. UNBELIEVEABLE. I would not mind spending a fortune on this nice little farm which is in need but customer service is quiete desirable and in need of improvement. One unhappy mum.

I first visited here with my godchild about 15 years ago and it was so nice to revisit and it hasn't changed. I think it is run very well, I love that you can buy pellets to feed the cows, sheep and goats. The coffee shop has an extensive menu, the gift shop is very cute and plenty of benches to sit. I did read the negative review regarding the cow pen and would be interested to know if the cows go into the fields at night to graze?. It is like a little oasis behind the busy streets. Will happily return now I have rediscovered this hidden gem.

A very small "farm" with a handful of animals. I'm not sure how other reviewers managed to spend several hours here. At best it's a half hour walk around. Several cages of poultry, then some rabbits and out the back to 2 cows and some goats but that's about it. You can't get to the stables as they are closed off to the public. There is a cafe and small play park, but on the whole the place needs a clean up and revamp. It feels very forgotten and unloved.

My first time visiting with my 10 years old daughter and 8 month old son, I was pleasantly surprised lovely set up with more animals than expected. We paid to meet and greet a few small, animals some of the staff there were less than helpful which made us not spend much time there but the rest of farm made up for it. The man who plays the ukulele, I didn't get his name, was very friendly and plays so well he even have my daughter and I quick lessons. We also visited the cafe which I found to be maybe a bit over priced with a limited menu but we bought our own packed lunch and just went for a hot chocolate as it was quite cold. Will definitely be back

Nothing special, but can’t blame them as it is free, and they run with just donation. Not a bad visit, but it took 1.5h from home, so would probably not repeat.

I went to Deen City Farm with my granddaughter, but as I looked around I was torn. I’m sure they do wonderful work in showing & teaching children all about farm life and animals, however purely as a “visitor attraction” it was very poor. As you walk through the gates you are hit by lots and lots of signs: DON’T WALK ON THE GRASS: DON’T SIT HERE; NO ENTRY; STAFF ONLY; DON’T PICK THE FLOWERS… Very off putting to adults and young people. I understand that they want to keep visitors & their livestock safe, but it isn’t very welcoming when you are hit by a barrage of signs telling you what you can’t do. There are other ways of doing things, I know as I was head of risk at a London museum, with nearly 1 million visitors a year. Also as I walked around it was very scruffy, OK so it’s a City Farm on a limited budget, but there were simple things that could have been improved. I know the Farm colleagues are probably volunteers and are doing it for their own reasons, but on the day I visited they were all a fairly miserable lot and we were misdirected twice when looking to buy food for the goats. The animals were all in good condition, but it was a few minutes in before we actually saw a farm animal, let alone interact with one. Was I expecting too much, and my granddaughter enjoyed her visit, but she is too young to read the signs which prohibited any fun things. However, I walked away thinking that they need to decide if they really want to be a “visitor attraction”, if so they could do better.

Lovely farm and just a place to chill where the plants are if you like animal's and nature. Kids can learn lost of things about animals here and can also feed some. There is also a riding school - horses are beautiful. If you get hungry or just fancy a cuppa you can also buy something inside the coffee shop. Entry to the farm is free. If you want to feed the animal's you have to pay for the food.

Went today with my children. We love the place and my kids love feeding the animals. I just feel in this very difficult time for everyone deen farm could do better regarding the way the flow of visitors is. There is only 1 way system around the building area and it works quite well but when you are on the field to see the bigger animals and want to feed them it is a bit wild. Everyone go everywhere with no social distancing at all. No one from the farm is actually out. No one checking. I understand visitors should be able to dobit themselves and keep distancing between each other but not every one is doing it and it is a bit frustrating. It should be some single way path like near the building. They should put marks on the floor where to stand while feeding the animals to keep a minimum of social distancing and maybe introduce a maximum time you can stay on 1 spot . I feel a bit disappointed about this. I feel something better could be done.

Good little farm. Although very small. Not a lot of staff around. Cafe was below average. They do not have a wide menu and what food they had did not taste very nice at all. We went to pat the animals at the 11:00 small animal encounter. There was no one around at 11 but we kept waiting. By 11:30 there was one staff member sitting with a ferret on her lap that children were allowed to pet. Although it was cute it was disappointing there were not more animals to pet. Kids got very bored after an hour. However for a free farm it is not bad. For a small activity it is great for kids however I would not make a day of it.

Awesome little farm, especially for kids. This place is relatively easy to get to yet nicely hidden away from the traffic. You can feed the animals, but remember to bring some change as the food pellets are dispensed from those old style Candy "insert correct change and turn to dispense" machines dotted about. There are also pony rides available but probably a good idea to check with the website to ensure what days and what times those are available if you're interested.
