I went there for Spanish party. We waited 45 minutes for someone to come and scan our tickets😅🙄but the venue is big, sound system is good, Aircon is working. Lighting is good, they can always improve to laser ones.😜Their drinks are not cheap. Bacardi cola and jackdaniels cola £14😁🤪They search you at the entrance. I like the tight security checks.

Earth shattering bass, seriously awesome Lazer light show (be careful with your camera's they destroyed a few), pleasant atmosphere well run security didn't feel any bad vibes in the air despite lots of drinks flowing, the dancefloor was covered in beer and lots of disposable cups which I guess was the only negative really aside from the astronomically priced drinks but then it's London innit! Overall having not been out for many years thanks to family life and of course our good friend covid it was good to be "back"

I knew this place as an all-night cinema, back in the 80s. Now it's a club/ live music venue. Security is pretty tight, along with a few other London venues. You need photo ID, have your picture taken, and unload your pockets. Venue itself is great, with several different areas and bar-prices reasonable for a Central London venue.

Really well located venue space, right there by Kings Cross station with plenty of fast food places around for late night snacks. The venue itself is a classic… multiple rooms and bars, great for any function weather it be your favourite artist or a large kinky event like torture garden. Security were professional and understanding, bars well stocked with options… could do with a few more toilets but it’s a beautiful old building.

Brilliant venue, beautifully restored. And an absolutely brilliant concert from Tide Lines. Just about blew the roof off.

Slow bartenders, charging £2.5 extra for a plastic pint. DJ was playing 15 seconds of a song and then swapping it to another song and bass was way too loud.

One of our party had mobility issues, I cannot praise the staff enough for the help they gave us. We were allowed in early to avoid any crowds at the entrance, we were given assistance up the stairs to our seats on a balcony, a member of staff showed where the toilets were and if help was needed to get there. Nothing was too much trouble. Really made the evening for us, highly recommended.

I went to the Regueton Latin Party last Saturday and was really disappointed. The dj was not good was meant to be a Latin party but he will keep playing other type of music and some songs were played like 3 times. Really annoying since you paid to get to dance Latin music. People were smoking inside the club and had no security around whatsoever. The building is nice and the toilets are decent enough for a club but I wouldn't go back to a Latin party here.

Scala isn't the best place. It's small and the sound quality isn't so great. It's also super old in my opinion. But I still had fun at Ollie Wride Concert. The concert was amazing!

Had a pleasant experience. The theme made for the night made the setting just right for the "back home" kinda mood. Would recommend for those looking to rave in Central London.

Surprisingly small and intimate venue (which looks huge from the outside) Good sized stage and the front of the crowd are close to the artists. Bar is small, but had plenty of staff. This particular event (The Bug Club was ticketed through Dice, but the app failed to activate any tickets - fortunately there was a list of names)

The bouncers are very polite and professional but during events they can keep people in queues and in the cold even rain for almost 1 and half hours to 2 hours. I think they should find ways to improve this. Although, i understand they are doing that to ensure our safety.

Great place to experience London night life. I enjoyed the good quality of their sound system and their staff are very helpful. PS, You can get non alcoholic beverages from here, while I enjoying your time out. Scala It is located near Banks underground station and there are several bus nearby.

I went for the Mega Spanish Party and the queue was too long for the entrance, and the queue for the cloakroom was a real nightmare because we had to queue for like 30 minutes. A lot of people there were getting aggressive with alcohol and macho attitude and securities were not even looking or doing something. I guess its like this in most nightclubs. The building was really nice and spacious

Really fun evening at the Scala to see Los Bitchos! Venue is a stone's throw away from Kings Cross, you can see it once you step outside the front. Venue itself had a really unique layout with different height platforms that you can stand on (great for us short people!), as well as a balcony you could watch from. Sound was good, only downside were the eye watering prices of the drinks. £7 a pint or £6/£6.50 for a can was steep compared to some of the other venues.

Visited the Scala to see The Longest Johns in concert. Small venue located in Central London right next door to Kings Cross Station where there is tube access. Venue has multiple levels with small area in front of stage. There are multiple level only reached by stairs so totally useless for those in wheelchairs or unable to climb stairs unless I missed the lifts. As I didn't want the covid risk with audience by stage, I climbed to top floor and found a balcony area looking down on stage. Great concert. It was buzzing.

What a fun night, great venue, security is super tight but it ensures no idiots are allowed in - respect. Staff were really nice, venue is superb with multiple spaces, music sound and quality insane, bar service is quick. Highly recommended

Great medium sized venue with good view all around. Only reason its not 5 star is that there are LOADS of staircases in different places going to different levels and you can get quite confused/lost in them. Also, lots of beer taps were empty on the two nights I visited last week so drink choice was rather limited.

I can't believe I queued almost 3 hours to enter this place, the foyer listed as one of the music dance floors had horrible sound (tinny), the balcony floor was good though. Bar prices and bartenders where better than most London spots, but alll in all, I'm not in a hurry to go back.

Scala is a great live venue with an 800 capacity. From the outside it looks way bigger, with a magnificent facade, especially when lit up at night. Inside the venue is on an upper level accessed via the bar area. The layout means everyone is very near the stage and the audience gets a real sense of involvement with the performance.

Small intimate venue and top concert location. They do great club nights as well as small gigs. Easily reachable as it is in the heart of Kings X!!! Many good nights have been spent there!

Love the venue. the sound is great, and it's cosy. The toilets lacked a little TLC in the cleanliness department. Fist time i went (2 years ago) bathrooms were clean, this time rather the opposite.

Location is amazing. I can't say the same for the music. I was there for the Pride where we were supposed celebrate diversity at 360°. But It was not. Same kind of music all time. If I knew it I wouldn't come here for sure. Waste of money. Very disappointed.

Music good! But bought VIP tickets yet didn’t really get a VIP service other than skipping the queue. 20 mins for a drink and slow service isn’t exactly what I’d call VIP…

A great venue for gigs, easy to get to on the tube. There might be more toilets in the venue, but I only found one set, which was a bit of a trek to get to (up a lot of steps). Apart from that all was good. Got a good view of the stage on the balcony and standing on the boxing on the back.

Fast becoming my favourite venue in London. Got served easily at the bar, having a sit down or perch throughout the venue is possible via sofas in bar area or ledges in main room, sound was incredible. Had a view of the stage at all times. Staff were very friendly and didn't have attitude like you find at a lot of music venues these days. 5 Stars

A good medium sized venue in central London with pubs and cozy restaurants near by. Personally, one of the bouncers there was unnecessarily loud and aggressive, sort of micro managing and felt a bit like going through airport security, like it’s not that srs come on, just ruins the vibe going into the event. The cloakroom is like right next to the bar which makes queuing tricky and had to wait for like half an hour for drinks before the show began and an hour to get jacket after the show. also, not many choices for drinks and the staircases can be a problem if you’re too tipsy or haven’t worked out in a while

Face Down is the best pop punk, rock and emo club night in London, without a doubt! I've been attending since the end of 2013 and plan to continue to do so! 🤟🏼🖤

Love going to Facedown at Scala. Emo nights are great in general but the pop punk in here is 10/10! But beware! Many have been a victim of being drunk and falling down the red stairs, so hold onto the handrail when you’re coming down from the metal room 😂

A lovely space. So many viewing levels, nooks and crannies. Easy to get to front, if you want to. Staff very jolly too.

A great venue. Especially if you're watching Alewya. Not sure what £££ signifies unless it's on a scale of 10. You won't go skint.

I really nice music venue central to King's Cross Station. We went to see The Longest Johns (absolutely amazing). It had good security measures and the staff were polite. There is a box office in the entrance if you wanted to buy or collect tickets. The bar was reasonably priced (for London) and it had a good vibe overall. You can get double pints 🍻 as well, saving you another trip to the bar.

Saw teleman live. Was an amazing gig, sound good staff very friendly and even the security were nice to chat to. One downside are the drinks, around £6 a pint which to me is insane but I guess the staff has got to get paid somehow. Other than that great venue.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The worst PLACE in London DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY FOR THIS DISGUSTING PLACE. Horrible music, very rude stuff!!! I asked for a refund after that we left as the club was completely EMPTY. EVERYONE was complaining for the horrible music. We paid £20 + drinks to then leave after 1 hour. The staff didn’t cared at all about us, or how we ALL were feeling, and after that I asked for a refund they said that it wasn’t possible without a reason!!! Disgusting drinks and too expensive for it. PLEASE safe your money!! There are so many beautiful places that you can enjoy for way more less.

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Scala who were so kind to me, helping me when I was not well at a concert. Especially to Gary, who made sure my son and I were able to enjoy the show. You turned a very stressful situation into a wonderful night. Thank you so much.

I love the Scala. I remember coming here many years ago when it was a cinema. It is now a great music venue. It does not have a large capacity but that means you are close to the band wherever you stand. We went to see Tankus the Henge for the last show is their tour and we had a great time. They were superb, the sound was good and we had a great view. The Scala is also close to Kings Cross tube station for getting there and getting home

came here to see Westwood. decent venue. very large and spacious inside. could definitely do with more seating areas. it also got very very crowded later. somewhat unfriendly crowd. not a bad night overall but probably wouldn't go again

Hadn't been in about 7 years and my expectations were low however I was very pleasantly surprised at how much fun El Grande was. Dancef all night until 4am and I left with a big smile on my face.... Mind you my body paid the price the next day but it was worth it 😊
