We only needed a basic room for the coronation weekend, but this place takes basic to a whole new, miserable low. The only positive I can muster is it's close to Buckingham Palace and Victoria Station as well as amenities including restaurants and shops. The tiny lobby which appears to be a merge with the neighbouring hotel is actually clean and smelled fresh, but the rooms are definitely not what you see on the booking sites. The pics on the booking sites and are beyond misleading, and outragously innacurate in comparison to the claims of 'boutique' rooms on their website. Filthy rooms advertised as 'no housekeeping', but ours hadn't been cleaned in months. Shoddy paint work with paint over the tv (which didn't work) and furniture. Broken ceiling fan stuck on ceiling with tape. Thick dust on floor, towel rail & toilet roll holder (so thick was the dust in the bathroom it had created a scum). The sink and shower tray were covered in dry scum and had not been cleaned before our arrival. Ripped nets, curtains hanging off a broken pole (so did not close fully) which was hanging off the wall, stains in the bedside drawers, kettle with exposed wires which would never pass a PAT test so I assume they either forged the 'passed' sticker or the electrician was a con man and sketchy internet. Staff were miserable (we asked for extra coffee, sugar etc and waited over an hour, even longer for fresh towels). I just can not recommend this place. It's awful. We asked for a refund, the hotel refused. Disgusting place. I wouldn't even give them one star. Edit: I have now been made aware hotel rooms are 'under renovation' in which case why are rooms that are unsafe and unhygenic still being sold? Renovation is no excuse for the poor standard of cleanliness, hygiene and decor. Our room should not have been available to paying guests. It was filthy and unsafe

Just don’t do it! The place hasn’t improved since the reviews. The basement room we paid £130 per might for resembles a cell! The only reason it’s not like a prison is due to the fact the windows and doors didn’t close properly which was probably a blessing as the fire alarm system was faulty and beeped incessantly all night so we didn’t sleep. When pushing for compensation (as the alarm could not be fixed until after the weekend, surely breaching all number of H&S laws) we were offered £15 per night. When I asked the owner if he thought this was reasonable he reminded me that I had read the reviews and so knew what to expect! There is no attempt to improve this place and the owner has no consideration for offering a safe and comfortable place to stay. How he is still operating legally is a miracle! Unfortunately my naivety has just impacted the problem and now this shocking establishment has my money and shown nothing for it. More fool me!! I will be raising it with the local authority and urge you not to make the same mistake. Keeping searching!

The hall area is looking unrespectable, but the room looks newly refurbished. The single room is too small, the smallest I have ever been. It's ok if you have only hand luggage. There is no space for you to hang your clothes. Hot water is always available for your shower. Tea/coffee facilities are provided. TV, too. Heater and fan are also available. Check in at Sheriff Hotel. Both hotels are owned by the same management. After checking in, you will be given one key for the entrance to the property and one for your room. If you lose the entrance key, you got £10 penalty. The location is very strategic. Only six minutes walk to Victoria Coach Station. There are plenty of nearby attractions, too. Chelsea is only a 20-minute walk. If you need a taxi, use the Uber app because it's cheaper and easy to get the ride. The best features about this hotel are: ▪︎ Receptionists are very helpful ▪︎ Naturally quiet area (unless other guests are making noise, you can hear them clearly) ▪︎ Value for money ▪︎ Strategic location The worst feature is : ▪︎ No elevator. I would not recommend this place for senior citizens, people with additional needs, and people with health issues.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Would give a zero if I could. Worst hotel and staff I have ever met/visited. Went down to reception to ask for cleaning the dirt away from room and was met with a tired ”can you wait until tomorrow?” Ofc we didn’t want to sleep in someone elses blood and hair! And had to ask multiple times for cleaning but nothing happened. Disgusting. Talked to owner who was very rude and yelled at me that ofcourse the hotel is dirty it is low budget… tried to put the blame on me and didn’t listen. Didn’t seem to care at all about state of room or how staff behaves.. Talked over me. Wasn’t helpful. Promised me only 10 pounds back per night, which i haven’t gotten.. Would’ve changed hotel during stay if wasn’t so hard with finding free rooms in short notice. And would have probably not gotten money back anyways. DO NOT STAY HERE! NOT WORTH THE CLOSE DISTANCE TO TOWN!

I had made a reservation for this apartment in London for a week-long family trip, despite the negative reviews from previous customers. Unfortunately, we were unable to cancel our hotel reservation. Determined to make the best of the situation, I called the hotel to inquire about the availability of a bedroom with an attached shower and toilet, as it appeared that not all rooms offered this amenity. I also inquired about the poor reviews and was informed that the hotel was undergoing renovations in April. Upon our arrival at the hotel (June), we were informed by the manager that there had been some flooding, resulting in ongoing repairs. The entrance was in disarray, and the staff was attending to customers at the neighboring Sheriff Hotel. Undeterred, we proceeded to our assigned bedroom, only to find a chaotic scene with wood, metal pieces, and machinery scattered about. To our surprise, one worker was single-handedly renovating a ground floor bedroom. The situation persisted throughout the entire week, until suddenly on Friday, everything was miraculously cleaned and organized at the hall entrance. The carpet emitted an unpleasant odor and appeared worn out. In the bedroom, the beds were old, with some of them even broken, though the sheets were clean and free of bugs or ticks. The bathroom was passable, but the shower had a feeble water flow and failed to provide warm water. The windows refused to stay open. The lack of care was evident, as poorly painted walls, a dangling and broken light fixture, a non-functioning and dirty ceiling fan, and a shattered picture frame hanging on the wall showcased the hotel's neglect and lack of attention to detail. By the last day, we had grown accustomed to the disorder and mess. While the accommodations were inexpensive, we have decided not to return to this hotel on our next visit to London, especially if traveling with family.

Unfortunately, I cannot give a good review to this hotel, and I will start with the above. First of all, the pictures on the booking do not correspond at all to the actual condition of the room I found. and it's not at all hygienic because I'm 100 percent convinced that he doesn't wash it. The walls of the room are destroyed, especially on the lower parts of the wall, you can see mold on the ceiling, the lamp is stained, the curtains are torn, dust is piled up under the bed, and we also found a small pile of hair, etc. On the last day before check-out, we wanted to take a shower, but there was no hot water at all. The gentleman at the reception didn't even bother to inform us, not only us and other guests, when we came to ask what was going on, he didn't even apologize, he was talking to the lady who I think works there, let alone looked at us.

Avoid this place! The pictures don't show the real conditions of the rooms. It's a really old place, unsafe windows, the hairdryer was not working, none of the TV channels had signal, terrible smell in the bathroom. For the price I paid there are much better options. I'll give it 2 stars just for the location.

If I could have, there would be no stars given at all. Worst hotel I have stayed in. Room smelt of mould. Bathroom was worse, the stench of long term mould lingered in there, shower curtain was mouldy. Looks like the repair work was botched by the 'cowboy' in the bathroom as well as the bedroom. Health and safety was certainly not taken into consideration with this hotel. Roughly every 5 seconds there was a beeping sound coming from the hallway outside our room. The fire exit door was kept propped open with a tin of paint the whole time we were there it wasn't a true fire door as it had a yale lock on it no push bar. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT stay at this hotel. This hotel also comes under the name Sheriff Hotel.

Dirty and unbelievably old and more like an historical ruin! Everything is broken in the room or ripped... you can find a lot holes everywhere in the room where mouse 🐁 live peacefully together with guests! You miss a lot in this ruin! Don't call it hotel please! You can't lock the doors and your matrass lies on a few boxes! Maybe an option for halloween 🎃 creepy and small aisle, stairs... you don't watch your steps, you break them! This ruin is about to collapse and you see tools everywhere in the aisles and stairs. And this mess is under construction!!!!!!!! I think, if I had read the reviews, I would have camped outside in a tent or slept in the streets... Receptionist wasn't English and I think that's why she didn't even try to talk! All she did was " giving us the keys and mentioning that these are the keys". It's a shame that a ruin like this can exist in London/ UK!!!!! Who let them start this mess...!!!!!!🤔🧐 Location is pretty good! You can walk to the Victoria Station and then you can get around easily and enough options in terms of food, supermarkets and restaurants nearby.

I had booked 3 nights but could only last 2. The stench of dissapointment that fills the "Hotel" stays with me now. I stayed in room 17 which I guess was designed for a hobbit not a man of 6ft. A small window with no curtain, staff who have no passion or care for their customers really add to the experience. The final straw for me was finding a pigeon in my room. Do yourself a favour DON'T DO IT!!!! It's like a time capsule from 1980. No WiFi no breakfast room. When I said I wanted to check out early I got a response of nothing but shrugged shoulders.

EDITED TO ADD: I actually didn't end up staying here, I walked out and disputed the charge on my credit card as the hotel was unfit for human habitation. I walked to a much nicer hotel where I felt clean and safe. Just checked in and wish there was an option for me to find somewhere else but since I'm only here one night I will pinch my nose and bear it. The first room I was given had a disgusting stained carpet, only 1 working lightbulb in the extremely dusty & noisy ceiling fan, and only one working light in the "bathroom". The inside bathroom door handle was snapped off so you easily have been locked in. The coffee area was dirty, the beside table had gouges in the top & the drawers were all misaligned. The second room I have been given is on the ground floor, and there are no security bars on the window so I need to keep the window locked in the middle of a heatwave. Again the ceiling fan makes an unbearable noise, but at least it has 2/3 light bulbs? There is a bulb out in the bathroom. The floor has poorly installed laminate with bare edges and raised screws tacking it down. The next curtains have a trifecta of stains, burns and tears. There is WiFi, but there is not the breakfast as stated on booking(dot)com. 0/5 stars. Absolutely do not recommend.

If I could give 0 I would. The pictures do not at all resemble not just rhe room bit the hotel. The table we had for tea and coffee was broken. It was being held up with 1 bolt. The toilet seems to have a leak. Pillow case were dirty. We couldn't even shower as the shower heads holder was missing. Window could open but wouldn't stay up. Lamps above the beds not hanging strait at all. Not happy at all.

If you are alone and will come here only to sleep and go then I would give it 2.5/5, maybe 3. The price is low and the bed is not bad, the showers are functional enough and people are nice and helpful. It is another story if you are going to stay in your room, then 2/5 and then that is definitely not the place for you, the building is old and doesn’t seem to have been maintained, everything is squeaking, you can hear mostly everything from outside and upstairs. The entrance to the rooms and stairs are very narrow. The cleanliness of the walls is not good, shower boundaries are not high enough so water gets out and wet the bathrooms with only one towel available, and the room isn’t cleaned during your stay. For me the bed and bathroom cleanliness were good enough when I came, so I didn’t face the same experience as some people in the reviews Recommended for a cheap individual stay just for sleeping in a single room, otherwise not recommended

Horrible, it's a hoax. The rooms do not look like the ones advertised. They don't do the cleaning for you, you have to clean your room. In some rooms they had the bathroom outside the room. This hotel and the rude arrogant receptions are a vile deception. The room in very poor condition, the bathroom with potholes on the wall, the shower on the floor. Don't be deceived. Do not rent a room.

Hey, you know I gave it a try despite all the reviews. It was cheap and I needed something other than a hostel bed as I had an early morning class on zoom. I had wifi access, hot water with good water pressure, a toilet and sink, a bed and a tv. I checked in at 2pm after arriving earlier at 12 for them to hold my bag (which was nice as well). Everything went smooth. No bedbugs I could find (and I really did look). Sure the rooms are small and old and in need of repair.. but I paid like 40 pounds for my own hotel room with a private bath in the heart of London. You better know what you are getting at that price, but also I would absolutely stay here again in a pinch.

My trip was going great, until I landed here for two night in Victoria, London. I last like 5 minutes there, which I think it was too much time. EVERYTHING WRONG CAN HAPPEN HERE. Disgusting, horrible, awful, dirty... name it, and you have it! This shouldn't exist in this world.

The room itself was mostly fine although it was pretty small. The toilet and shower was absolutely tiny with no room to move. The room was in a different building to the reception and was undergoing some maintenance and renovations so there was wood and doors everywhere and bare plank floors. Workers were there from around 8:30 until 5ish and started working with no warning using power tools directly outside the door. Also the window and TV were broken and nothing was done about it when reception was told so we had to just prop open the window with what we could find. It wasn't too bad since most of our time was spent out during the day but while they were working but you'd be hard pressed to have a lie in.

Dreadful absolutely horrid. Dirty Toilet was just constantly flowing Shower tray didn't drain Water either scalding or freezing Bedroom lights didn't work (except one above basin) Kettle but no mugs Front door key took a lot of effort to work. Generally dingy and decrepit. The only reason it seems to have 2 stars is because of some glaringly obvious fake reviews

You get what you pay for. An ok hotel if you are just spending a night or 2 in London. The staff is great and they are remodeling the hotel. But what i could not understand was that they had guests in rooms that were not finnished. We got a knock at the door early and were asked if we were going out so they could come in an fix something. No prob but at least do that when there is no one staying in the room? With the rooms beeing so small and the luggage taking up most of the space. How were they suposed to get anything done? Silly but oh well. Our room was a tiny double bedroom. We had a brand new teakettle, that was awesome. The bed was super comfy and the shower had hot water! I will deff stay here again since that is basicaly all i need 😊👍 the neighborhood is super quiet and near Victoria station. Cant wait to see when they have finnished refurnishing everything!!

The smallest room of 2-stars hotel I visit before. Not that clean. Stuck pipe with little smell. I stayed 2 nights, but in the noon time of the second day, their staff suddenly opened the door using their key, without knocking, after found that I am sleeping in the bed, she asked me “not yet check out?”… If you are fat, don’t come, you shouldn’t able to go to toilet (see my picture). If it is summer time, don’t come, you can find that sleeping in the street is cooler than insides the room, even hours after sunset. If you are back packer, there are still a lot of option nearby. If you have little money, don’t come, you should treat yourself better.

Is it a great hotel...no. Cheap as chips and incredible location. Does look like they busy renovating but I had a pretty good stay and would return again
