You get what you pay for, which is, not a lot. Small space, and for my American friends: no AC. We came at a hot time, so we were struggling with just the fan. But they do have a space heater in the room for colder times. The space is super small, just enough space for one person to get around the room. We stayed in a double bed private room with a private bathroom. If you can imagine, it was as small as an airplane bathroom, but with a shower in there as well. I’ve added videos to help show the space. However, the location was perfect. A short walk to the Victoria station which has connections all over London and to that Gatwick airport. There’s also a few buses on the other side of the block to take you around. My partner and I walked from the hotel, to the Thames River, to Big Ben, and ended at Buckingham Palace. We would’ve walked back to hotel from there, but we were done being in the heat.

Good location and staff were very friendly, shower was good but unfortunately that’s where the good stuff ends. Room walls were very thin and we could hear the next door snoring. also towels were stained and no soap in bathroom. stains on the ceiling dusty TV, no smart TV, really small room no wardrobe and heating was with a small old dirty electric heater that we had to plug in and move about. Coffee faculties were good, plenty of coffee although we did buy more milk as there was very little milk for our coffee

Honestly can't understand the negative reviews? The staff has been really nice and helpful especially with the luggage, the room is surprisingly big and clean, the shower has such a nice pressure and temperature we each spent ages in it, the position is lovely, bed is comfortable and clean. Honestly I have been in a lot worst, it's clean, is central, the shower works, the room is quiet, the WiFi works, the staff were reasonable with our requests I have no qualms whatsoever

Recently stayed in the Chester hotel. When we arrived, the staff was friendly and attentive. When we arrived in the room at first glance it looked fine and like the pictures. The only issues was the kettle was really old and had limescale but wasn’t a necessity for us personally. There was stains on bedding and towels. Only one roll of toilet roll in bathroom. Everything worked okay.Room was very warm and the windows was hard to shut.it was great that there was 24/7 staff member to help if needed. The hotel needs a re vamp and staff can improve by not being on a phone call/FaceTime when attending to customers. Overall 3/5 stars. it’s a good location for transportation and food!

Customer service is terrible. We didn’t even check in as they didn’t allow early check in and the person on the desk was so rude we didn’t even bother to hang around. The place is dingy and doesn’t even look nice inside although looks lovely outside. Good thing we opted to pay at property! Went over to the Ibis in Earl’s Court which is sooo much better.

The shared bathroom was really filthy, stank and the toilet roll was damp. The room was tiny, with no window and a ridiculous step down which took up some of the already limited space in the room. The room also had an overwhelming odour of bleach which was cloying. And, as I was drifting off to sleep my door was opened, clearly be a member of staff, for no apparent reason who mumbled an apology. The only saving grace was the close proximity to Victoria station and the relatively short walk to Westminster.

I think it's really good value for the price (25-29 pounds), cosy and good location. Slight criticism would be the length of the beds are a little short but I enjoyed my stay here. Decent service too.

Unhygienic, unhelpful staff avoid. Checked in 5.30pm to be told room not ready you have to wait, check in was 3pm. Walls covered it what could only be human extrement. Room covered in flys. Carpets ripped, burnt and covered in dirt. Odour was not pleasant. Avoid at all cost this is not a hotel and far from two star. Plugs didn't work just kept pushing back out. We did not stay but desk staff had were unhelpful and rude. We got a refund however we had to involved the booking site we used to achieve this.

CONS: The room we got was tiny, meaning the bathroom was also tiny... The double bed was so small that me and my wife were literally touching shoulders while laying down.. there was also no Air-conditioning, just a plane old fan which didn't help at all in the heat... The bathroom and room was also quite dirty. The stairs getting to the top floors were so narrow we struggled to get up with our suitcases. So if you are planning on staying, make sure you get the lower floor if you have heavy bags. The walls are also very thin. Everytime somebody leaves or enters their room, you could hear the door slam very loudly. Very annoying when we were trying to sleep... PROS: Location was very good. Close to Victoria station and close to many shops and restaurants. The service was good to be fair, staff seemed friendly and accommodating. The WiFi was good too. Conclusion: The CONS outweigh the PROS unfortunately.. Having just friendly staff is not enough. If I was going to London again, I would not stay in this place. The pictures looked nicer than real life and the price was quite expensive for what you get. I recommend to spend a little more €£$ and go to a proper hotel with cleaner and more spacious facilities.

I think it's a perfectly good to stay here for a night or two. I can see why people might take issue with the rooms being not totally spotless with marks and the wall and such but overall its very cheap and central and beds are nice. Only 4 stars because the shower didnt drain quickly so it did overflow and so bathroom was a little flooded

I got a single shared bathroom room for just over £50, and the service was good, it looks good from the outside, and the location is good which are about the only good things I can say. The room I had was tiny with no external window, just a fan. There was an tiny internal window above the door with no curtain, so all night the room was illuminated by the corridor lighting which made it hard to sleep. The room was tired, with scuffs and marks on the walls, the bedside lights were dusty and the carpet was worn. The bathroom was a joke - you had to go past reception, down a very narrow stairs, then the bathroom itself was a semi-basement. There was a bath with a shower you would have had to hold - no shower rail. No curtain or enclosure so the floor would be soaking. The extractor fan appear to be a massively dusty hole in the wall with an extractor fitted to the far end. The bathroom had a musty smell to it, probably due to inadequate ventilation. I honestly cannot recommend this hotel - I know it was cheap, but the basics are not being correctly done here.

Good things: £40 a night is good value and not much different to a hostel Good location near Victoria (and near shops/walking distance to the Palace etc) Room was clean Kettle & TV worked Quick check in (and early) Wi-Fi in room Less good things : Shared bathroom untidy Room quite small Room in the basement with narrow stairs (not good for big luggage) Overall : ok for the price and for a short stay (1 or 2 days ). No major complaints really

Very friendly greeting from the staff. However the room was basically a cellar. Their was an en suite that was locked off and had mould growing around the door. So only the communal bathroom was available which smelt of chlorine, had more mould and a bath (no shower) I wouldn't dunk my worst enemy in. The hotel is just a short walk from Victoria stations and is away from the main roads. However this didn't help as the back door to the property was open all night, with people talking the entire night. This combined with the tiny window facing in (no outwards windows) to the room meant light pouring in as well as sound. The bed and pillow were comfortable but I got very little sleep. Despite the relatively cheap price (for London) I wouldn't stay here again, in fact if I was staying in London for a second night, I would have checked out and found somewhere else.

I cannot make any complaint when there’s nothing major. Maybe it’s a little noisy at night from outside, but due to the location, there’s not much can be done. You won’t be staying for long. Staying at this place for 1-2 days should be fine.

Nice people but the hotel room was a little shabby. The carpet was wet by the bathroom, and the shower worked but was broken in some areas. Bed was comfortable and the bog TV was awesome. Just needs some love and care and the hotel would get a higher score from me.

Location is good just dew minutes walk to Victoria Station. Many restaurants nearby and supermarkets too. Room a bit small but thats ok. Cleanliness ok for me. Kettle, iron, chiller and heater works fine. But its a walk up hotel. Please expect to carry your luggage through the narrow staircase. Was attended most of the time by staff name Abid (night shift). Quite friendly and helpful if only u start talking to him 😅. Overall is not bad for the price.

Avoid at all costs. Not like the pictures, not comfortable, noisy, dirty. We had to cancel our second night.

You pay for what you get. Noisy and very hot & stuffy (no aircon). Good location if need to get train early. Is what it is. Was clean and a bed for the night.

They took my reservation with a listed reservation deposit. A week later, they tell me I must hand over an additional $450 or they would cancel my reservation within 24 hours. The hotel is now saying they have changed their policy and that the deposit policy listed when I reserved the room is now not accurate. You should fully anticipate this hotel canceling your reservation just because they feel like it. I would wager this cancellation was a result of a scheduled big event in town, and they want to be able to charge more for the room. I have filed appropriate complaints with agencies as I cannot get a response from the hotel.

Really nice. Friendly attentive staff. Good sized cosy room although the bathroom is a little small. Really good for the price. In a great location. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel has been extremely helpful as i booked the wrong dates and they waved their fees even if they were not supposed to. I have been already here twice and they are great. Best value for money

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was ok. Sheet/blanket had stains on it. Overall cleanliness of the room was ok, but not great. I would stay here again, but some better cleaning would definitely be appreciated.

Good location, but we were very disappointed with the hotel. Our Room was 2 floors up, the carpet on the stairs was all taped up. In our room there was no lid on the toilet cistern, which was making a terrible noise all night. Bed was ok!! But!! the pillow was like a concrete paving slab. Staff were rude! We asked to borrow a 'pencil', and we got a one word reply 'No'. How bloody rude. The place looked lovely outside, but all in all its ready for a full redecoration inside. Lots of water stains on the walls, ceilings, cobwebs, and very dirty windows. Doubt I'd stay there again.

After being concerned to stay here due to many negative reviews I can say myself and my friend were pleasantly surprised. we arrived at the hotel earlier than we expected to (14;15) and our check in wasn’t until three. we spoke to the receptionist and asked if we could check in early and there were no issues at all, they were polite and friendly and welcomed us warmly. They even went out of their way to help us when we had to ask for directions and tube lines etc. We booked a double room with an en suite bathroom/shower and it was great. the room was a comfortable size and the bathroom was clean and comfortable. stocked with body wash and hand soap, clean towel and plenty of loo roll. Side note - the communal bathroom, the one you use if you don’t have an en-suite has a bath but is a dingy little room at the end of the hall (not quite our cup of tea). Staff were friendly and explained the services they offered including laundry and housekeeping but did state that unless you asked for it they wouldn’t enter your room in order to ensure your privacy. There is someone at the main desk 24/7 (although a few crowds gathered in the lobby of an evening so that was a bit awkward, but didn’t really effect the stay overall). we can definitely say we will stay here again when coming to London, this hotel is surrounded by some lovely food places, a Sainsbury’s and a Tesco express. the nearest tube station is a 7 minute walk and there are buses along the way too. overall a brilliant stay.
