This is a beautiful, manmade wetland area, restoring some peace and tranquility for the inner city. It provides an opportunity to enjoy nature and is accessible to all. The Wetlands is also home to a pleasant cafe.

This is a lovely little place where you can go for a walk and take pictures of buildings and a lake! I went to try out my new camera and took some pretty cool pictures (if I do say so myself tbh.) There's a cafe there as well!

I used to live next to the reservoir and is such a haven for the locals all year round. Love taking walks around there and the coal house cafe is a lovely place for hot drinks and cake. It’s one of my favourite spots in London.

Not big but lovely place for nature lovers. You can't run or cycle here which is a bonus as it is a nature reserve.

Great place for a walk around the lake, when you are lucky you can spot some wildlife animals there. There is also a small café available. Please note that running is not allowed.

Beautiful place to take a stroll. Excellent paths. Lots of wild nature and birds. Feels quite urban (I like that, but might be everyone’s choice of tea). They have a cafe on both sides. Would definitely go inside the water building.

Escape the hustle and bustle of London. This place is so peaceful you forget you are in the city. You cannot hear any vehicles, only the chirp of grasshoppers. It is absolutely beautiful. I saw some baby ducks yesterday (early July), a heron and lots of blue dragonflies. Educational boards are posted around the perimeter teaching you about the wetlands and how they have been used over the centuries. Very interesting.

Woodberry Wetlands is one of my favorite hidden gems in London. It's a mix of parks with canals full of wildlife. It's great for a walk or a weekend with family. You can see the old mill and cross to Walthamstow for nice food

Love this escape into nature within London. I come here to enjoy nature and often you get to spot a fox 🦊 There is a cafe. Never tried it so can’t say how it is but it is always busy and buzzing with nature enthusiasts. The good thing about it being a nature reserve is that there is no one running, no one cycling and no dogs chasing off the squirrels or birds. It’s an actual reserve. Sad part is that as it connects to a mini canal on the outside many dog owners are not responsible and have their furry babies off the leash who I’ve seen multiple times chasing and scaring off ducks that were out of the water or geese ! I love dogs very much but I also want the birds to have their peace so if one has a hunting dog it kind of should be illegal to have them off the leash when in this part of their walk as it’s filled with ducks, geese and swans. When they go to Finsbury Park or Clissold Park then that can be a perfect place for doggies to be off the leash. So yes if you want total peace for you and the birds then go to this wetland ! Just know that it closes before it gets dark when there is no point of trying to get in anyway.

A little sanctuary for wildlife and thus for us too. Closes at 4pm in winter time, closes 4:30pm spring/summer, this is to give the animals time without humans and makes this place special. I've seen many birds I've not seen elsewhere in London, Gadwalls, Great Crested Grebes and a Kestrel to name a few. It has a cafe, it's fine, not great, but has some nice options. It's a nice place to sit and relax, watch the birds, have a chat and a coffee. There are several tables outside and a few inside, a few on the roof also.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with some friends, it was really lovely, it's not too crowded, just nice number of people, it's very calming and clean. Nice paths in the open as well as some quieter areas under the shade and near water, great place to come for a short walk or picnic!

Beautiful walk, an extension of Clissold Park. Best part is, you can take your pooches on the outer ring but you can only go around half way with dogs. Even the new buildings are something to look at

    Lovely place

The east reseviour has been tastefully landscaped and remodeled to fit in with the housing redevelopment. A new path runs around its edge seperated by a stream so that the wildelife has a break between it and the humans. A special path leads through a small section so that visitors including children can look down into the heart of the nature reserve. I don't think you could ask for more given its location within a major city.

Its very beautiful and a big tha ks to the volunteers who make it so. Sparkling lake and a river meandering by its side. Swans and river birds sleeping in th banks and they come upright upnronyiu its quite beautiful and then a stop for a tes. Really calming. Wish it was there when I was kid. It was private and the keepers would chase after us if we climbed over the fence. Glad someone saw the light

Great place to walk around the reedbeds surrounding the reservoir, one of two, the other being for sailing lessons etc. Recent butdspots range from water rails to peregrine falcons and water rails, plus the odd gadwall. Also good coffee and snacks to be had at the attractive pumphouse cafe. A great surprise for those not in the know, a fantastic local asset for those who are.

I was very stressed, as I walked through the wetlands i saw the swans and ducks swimming and I immediately calmed down. The sky was bright blue and weather mild for November. A piece of gorgeous sanctuary.

A beautiful piece of nature nestled away in suburban London. Only a few minutes walk from manor house station this little spot is lovely to get away from the noise of seven sisters road traffic and wander around the wetlands. There's plenty …

We went in the winter for a walk. Saw some lovely birds but were shocked by the gentrification. We thought it felt more like a pond than a wetland. Sadly, it’s unlikely we would visit again.

Gorgeous, well maintained, lots of wildlife (mostly birds), nice staff, good (though small) cafe with covered outdoor seating, views of The City and Shard. A few benches around the reservoir. Just wish it was bigger!

Lovely place for a walk - a loop of the East Reservoir is 0.8 miles. If it’s been raining, you’ll need wellies as it can be muddy in parts. The cafe is good, but wait times can be fairly long (20 minutes), but you’ve got lovely scenery to look at whilst you wait.

Really beautiful place to walk around and see some nature in the city. You can see swans, geese, coots, cormorants, ducks and a lot more. It's amazing to see all their chicks in the springtime. There's also a really nice cafe, which is a great spot to chill out and take it all in.

Such a gorgeous place to visit. Still a working reservoir where apparently the drinking water for my household is sourced from but since 2016 has been made into one of Europe's leading urban nature reserves less than six miles from Central London. Such an amazing space and wonderful to visit any time of the year.
