The
park
is
lovely
to
walk
around
on
early
mornings
in
spring/summer
-
it's
so
nice
to
see
the
waterfowl
nesting
on
the
boating
lake
and
their
babies
(the
Egyptian
goslings
are
particularly
cute!)
It's
also
nice
to
sit
on
a
bench
in
McKenzie
Gardens
and
enjoy
the
view.
Unfortunately,
during
the
summer
months
the
park
is
overtaken
by
massive-capacity
events,
meaning
much
of
the
park
is
cordoned
off
from
public
use,
and
often
leaving
the
ground
damaged
(either
with
large
patches
of
dead
grass
or,
if
its
been
raining,
leaving
churned
up
mud
and
boggy
areas).
The
influx
of
thousands
of
people
into
the
area
can
also
be
quite
intimidating,
especially
late
at
night,
so
recommend
avoiding
the
area
during
the
events
if
you
just
want
to
enjoy
the
park.
