Not
sure
where
to
start,
this
hotel
should
not
be
allowed
to
operate.
It
used
to
be
beautiful,
however
new
owners
have
allowed
it
to
fall
into
disrepair.
Our
first
room
was
disgraceful
and
should
not
have
been
open
for
guests.
We
were
then
moved
rooms
which
was
not
much
better.
In
the
end
we
left
for
the
nearest
Holiday
Inn
as
couldn’t
face
staying
there.
To
list
just
a
few
of
the
issues,
other
than
staff
losing
our
room
key
upon
arrival:
- Entire
hotel
is
dirty
and
smells
of
damp.
The
images
on
google
with
this
hotel
are
false
advertisement,
the
hotel
may
once
have
looked
like
that
but
could
not
be
further
from
that
now.
- Shower
does
not
stay
on,
we
were
informed
by
staff
this
is
due
to
a
broken
water
pump
and
has
been
ongoing
for
a
while.
- Hotel
staff
were
letting
themselves
into
hotel
rooms
as
and
when
they
pleased
without
knocking
or
asking
for
permission.
- 1st
room
filthy:
bins
hadn’t
been
emptied,
wall
paper
peeling
from
the
wall,
dirty
furniture,
lamp
shades
stained
and
hanging
off,
carpets
threadbare
and
peeling
away
from
skirting
boards,
tissues
stuffed
into
door
spy
holes
that
were
open,
window
panes
inside
stained.
- 1st
room
broken
appliances:
bath
tap
was
stained
and
broken
–
permanently
leaking
with
a
constant
flow
of
water.
Cracked,
broken
and
loose
bathroom
floor
tiles
that
you
could
easily
cut
feet
on.
- 2nd
room
just
as
filthy
with
stained
bed
base,
pigeon
nest
just
outside
window
that
had
been
left
wide
open
–
pigeon
droppings
on
window
sill
inside
room.
- 2nd
room
broken
appliances:
mattress
was
broken,
when
you
sat
on
the
bed
went
straight
through
it.
Broken
ironing
board
led
to
a
cut
finger
–
to
which
the
hotel
had
no
first
aid
kit/
plasters
on
site.
Unsure
if
a
hotel
can
legally
operate
without
a
first
aid
kit
on
site!!??
- Downstairs
restaurant
and
bar
was
absolutely
filthy
covered
in
dust
with
half
open
bags
of
rubbish
everywhere.
To
really
top
it
off,
when
we
complained
the
housekeeping
staff
laughed
at
us,
which
was
really
the
final
straw
before
we
left
for
another
hotel.
This
is
incredibly
sad,
especially
after
the
last
two
years’
of
this
pandemic
in
which
the
hospitality
industry
has
suffered.
Not
to
mention
the
disappointment
as
to
how
this
building
has
been
treated
–
a
blue
plaque
building
dedicated
to
Alan
Turing,
who
was
born
there.
Until
the
new
owners
invest
in
repair
and
suitable
upkeep,
I
would
not
recommend
this
hotel.
It
is
scandalous
what
they
charge,
this
is
beyond
being
anywhere
close
to
value
for
money.
