Stayed
2
nights
at
the
Tulse
Hill
Hotel
whilst
attending
a
family
event
in
London.
First
the
good
points:
the
hotel
has
parking
for
hotel
guests
and
the
car
park
is
secure
overnight.
The
welcome
on
arrival
was
very
good
and
the
staff
were
exceptionally
friendly
and
helpful
throughout
our
stay.
On
first
sight
our
room,
(no
8),
was
nicely
presented
and
comfortable.
Now
the
negatives..
On
our
first
night
the
pub
and
restaurant
area
were
very
busy
partly
due
to
the
rail
strikes,
partly
because
a
neighbouring
pub
was
closed
and
also
because
there
was
a
special
offer
of
half
price
main
courses.
The
staff,
particularly
in
the
kitchen
seemed
overwhelmed
and
we
waited
50
minutes
for
our
mains.
I
have
to
say
while
waiting,
staff
were
continually
in
contact
with
customers
but
service
was
very
slow.
Staff
also
went
out
of
their
way
to
resolve
any
issues
and
it’s
often
more
about
how
problems
are
resolved
as
much
as
the
issue
itself.
As
we
became
familiar
with
our
room
we
found
a
number
of
issues.
The
shower
unit
wasn’t
properly
secured
to
the
wall,
but
the
shower
did
work
and
was
lovely.
The
over
sink
shelf
was
also
not
properly
fixed
to
the
wall.
The
sink
hot
tap
wasn’t
properly
secured
to
the
sink.
The
extractor
fan
didn’t
work.
In
the
living
area
the
hallway
light
wasn’t
properly
secured
to
the
ceiling
and
the
light
flickered,
(electrical
fault?).
The
roman
blind
at
the
window
was
broken
and
had
to
be
manually
raised
and
lowered.
The
room
has
air
con
but
this
had
been
turned
off,
understandably
due
to
running
costs
at
the
present
time
and
as
it
was
winter,
it
wasn’t
needed.
It
would
certainly
be
needed
in
warmer
weather
as
it
would
not
be
possible
to
open
the
window.
All
that
said,
the
room
was
well
appointed
and
comfortable
and
it
wouldn’t
take
much
to
turn
these
negatives
into
positives.
When
I
raised
them
with
the
duty
manager
he
said
the
rooms
were
being
refurbished
one
by
one
so
hopefully
they
will
be
fixed
soon.
The
only
other
negative,
if
you’re
a
light
sleeper,
is
the
overnight
traffic
noise.
The
hotel
is
situated
on
a
busy
traffic
light
crossroads
and
although
the
noise
isn’t
incessant,
it
is
there.
Would
we
stay
again?
Yes.
The
issues
raised
are
easily
sorted
and
are
outweighed
by
the
overall
ambience
of
the
pub
and
friendly
and
helpful
staff.
