Visited for Sunday lunch with my girlfriend, ordered a Guinness and a couple Spritzes off the cocktail menu which weren't what I was expecting but absolutely lovely. The Guinness was pouted perfectly by Lawrence and our server Ewan was absolutely fantastic. The roasts were spot on with big portions and a really lovely rare beef and pork belly, pigs and blankets as a side were excellent too. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area, especially with their lovely beer garden out the back.

We, my Wife, our Son and I are staying here right now and are absolutely enjoying it! We have just come back up to our excellent room to chill out and relax ready for a very busy family wedding tomorrow with very full bellies from the most perfect meal in the Tulse Hill Hotel restaurant. Thus far, service has been fantastic, the food sublime and the drinks perfect! We've yet another night to stay and we've no doubt that breakfast in the morning and the next day will be great. Thank you Tulse Hill Hotel! Neil, Jess & Ayrton X

Rightio, a bit of a long review here, but I'll try to get the guts of it out of the way early. I went to this pub as part of visiting 3 pubs one day with nothing else to do. Started here and entered to be confronted with a reasonable number of women with babies - but that was fine everyone was behaving and there was no screaming kids or anything like that. Apart from that it was quite quiet so I wandered about a bit. There is a reasonable outdoor area at the front of the pub up a few stairs but a nice place anyway although it is right on the road. There is also another quite sizeable outdoor area out the back that also had some under cover huts as well - this may well be reachable by a wheelchair, but not 100% sure (probably worthwhile checking if you need to). As you come in from this beer garden there is a more formal dining area but which is still part of the pub proper. When I was there I had the fish and chips and a Guinness. Both of which were SUPERB! I was talking to one of the govnors and he was saying that although they did not have any ales or bitters on at the moment, they are starting to organise that now, looking to have 2 or 3 standard plus a couple of guest ales when things pick up and get sorted. I have been back twice since then (they had one ale on and three other taps in the process of being primed) and on the second visit, I again had the fish and chips (It's absolutely great!). Unfortunately, my fish was off and after calling the barmaid over, she quickly agreed, took my meal away and arranged a replacement. No excuses, no fuss. She just did it. Straight away She offered me a drink that I didn't take as I needed to be somewhere. For me, that's service that will keep bringing me back time and again and something you rarely see these days - things will go wrong, but it's the way we deal with it that stays in peoples minds. Congrats you are an amazing group of people.

What an absolute con! I got charge £4.40 for a pint of soda water, served from the gun. The cost of that is not calculable as it is so cheap. I cannot drink alcohol for medical reasons reasons to be charge SO much is ridiculous is a disgrace. ~~~ The other day I provided feedback (above) on my experience in the Tulse Hill Hotel on Monday and have today received a totally inadequate response. The system is not able to allow me to reply to that response directly and so I am adding a further comment. “our prices are directed from our company and we do not control them”. In the past 4-6 weeks I have been in 2 other @metropolitan pubs and have not been charged a single penny for my soda, I visited once by myself and another with a friend who had an alcoholic drink. It seem incongruous that this establishment is charging whilst others are not. “please also note that we do have full drinks menu available and our range of soft/ nonalcoholic beverages vary between £1.65 and £4.55”. I struggle to see how you can charge £4.40, which is at the top of the price range, for water which comes for a tap. Having worked in bars for many years and still have many friends who still do, no-one can understand the price. Perhaps a small charge for use of the facilities, but this is rare in other pubs. My friends and I are planning a lunch and drinks over the weekend but my now friends refuse to go to a Metropolitan pub because of this. Metropolitan should be aware that the circumstances and the reputation gained.

Never disappointed with the food and service. I've basically had everything off of the menu and tried several cocktails and it's all delicious. Service is also excellent with kind and friendly staff. It's a place with a cosy atmosphere and ambient music. Can't recommend it enough.

On a whim, my wife and I decided to book dinner at short notice the night before we were due to go to hospital to have our first child. The staff seemed almost as excited to look after us as we were to have dinner there! They added lots of little touches that made us feel like we were the most important people in the room. Even if it wasn't a special occasion, we would rate the place highly as the food and cocktails (non- and alcoholic) were fantastic! Would definitely come back again - thanks so much to the team who served us on May 9th!

Great local pub, with a few local beers on keg. Lovely snacks and a good Sunday lunch. Really cosy traditional bar as you enter, with a large fire against one wall. At the rear there’s a nice restaurant and also a beer garden at the back. All the food options can be ordered in the restaurant, the bar or the garden. The bar and the garden are dog friendly.

Went in for a Sunday roast and had a great experience. Plenty of space and very dog friendly. Really nice roast options, chicken, beef, porchetta as well as a few main options. Staff are super friendly and helpful, which passes on to the clientele who were also very friendly! Happy people all round. Possibly my new favourite London pub:-)

Great location for where I was visiting. Bit of a trek from Heathrow, but that can't be helped. Monday night pub is fairly empty for dinner service. They have a great selection of draught beer to choose from. Room is quaint. Could use a place to unpack, but I am happy to live out of my suitcase. Busy road/ intersection outside my window. Would happily stay here again.

We had a great stay here - the warm welcome and always-friendly staff made for a very good atmosphere. The bed was very big and comfortable, the room a good size and the shower fantastic. A very congenial pub downstairs. We would definitely stay here again.

I recently had an outstanding experience at this pub, and it's all thanks to Kirsty! Her warm and attentive service truly elevated our visit. The atmosphere was fantastic, the drinks were top-notch, and Kirsty's friendly demeanor made our night unforgettable. Five stars for an exceptional pub with exceptional staff, especially Kirsty!

Had dinner with a friend and Kirsty was so incredibly helpful. The menu looked so good she recommended her favourites and we picked everything she told us to. Will be back, as there’s still so much to try. food was fantastic and the venue is really nice and casual. Also, the music was SO GOOD. Whoever is on the playlists is doing a great job!

This hotel is old, but cute! Price is reasonable, customer service from staff was top notch and the rooms were nice and clean. Bus stop and train located very close to hotel, so that was convenient! If you have business/commitments in central London, I would stay closer. Otherwise, this was a lovely experience! Thank you!

Such a great pub! Came here with my girlfriend for the first time and sat outside in the beer garden. Food was great and our waitress Jasmine was super friendly and made sure we always had drinks. We’ll be coming back!

Just stayed here. It’s a great location near to the Tulse hill station but on quite a busy road junction. The bar and front area is traditional but the rest of the hotel has been nicely refurbished including the large dining area and the very pleasant garden. The bedrooms are large and comfortable with large en-suites and surprisingly quiet but the stairs up are a little difficult to navigate with luggage. The young staff are friendly and helpful. There is parking at the back behind the garden. Beware two things: the bar surprisingly closes at 10pm on a Sunday and if you have breakfast included the porridge/yoghurt is not included with the other breakfast items. They will bizarrely charge you for another breakfast! This should be made clear. Also there is no jam/marmalade/honey to have with your toast. I did not eat here other than breakfast but the Guinness was very nice. I liked staying here.

Top local pub! Great beers, good food and a great roast, they allow dogs which is always a bonus. The staff are very attentive, friendly and personable. They run some great quiz nights in the evenings in the week as well which are a great laugh. Well worth a visit

Super chic pub inside, really nice garden out the back, sheltered from the road like another little world, love their summer cocktails and spritzers! Claudia who served us was great and really warm and welcoming, she mentioned they have live music and quizzes so we’ll have to go back after a summer day on the park 🤩

Had a one night stay on a Saturday night; the service was excellent (the staff were helpful, friendly, and kind) and the room was lovely too, as well as quiet. We paid extra for breakfast which was very nice and well worth the money. Thanks for a great stay.

Nice spot for a cozy drink. It’s our local so really wanted to enjoy the food. Tried both the Sunday roast and dinner menu on separate occasions, and feel that it is overpriced and underwhelming. Disappointed!

Stayed 2 nights at the Tulse Hill Hotel whilst attending a family event in London. First the good points: the hotel has parking for hotel guests and the car park is secure overnight. The welcome on arrival was very good and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. On first sight our room, (no 8), was nicely presented and comfortable. Now the negatives.. On our first night the pub and restaurant area were very busy partly due to the rail strikes, partly because a neighbouring pub was closed and also because there was a special offer of half price main courses. The staff, particularly in the kitchen seemed overwhelmed and we waited 50 minutes for our mains. I have to say while waiting, staff were continually in contact with customers but service was very slow. Staff also went out of their way to resolve any issues and it’s often more about how problems are resolved as much as the issue itself. As we became familiar with our room we found a number of issues. The shower unit wasn’t properly secured to the wall, but the shower did work and was lovely. The over sink shelf was also not properly fixed to the wall. The sink hot tap wasn’t properly secured to the sink. The extractor fan didn’t work. In the living area the hallway light wasn’t properly secured to the ceiling and the light flickered, (electrical fault?). The roman blind at the window was broken and had to be manually raised and lowered. The room has air con but this had been turned off, understandably due to running costs at the present time and as it was winter, it wasn’t needed. It would certainly be needed in warmer weather as it would not be possible to open the window. All that said, the room was well appointed and comfortable and it wouldn’t take much to turn these negatives into positives. When I raised them with the duty manager he said the rooms were being refurbished one by one so hopefully they will be fixed soon. The only other negative, if you’re a light sleeper, is the overnight traffic noise. The hotel is situated on a busy traffic light crossroads and although the noise isn’t incessant, it is there. Would we stay again? Yes. The issues raised are easily sorted and are outweighed by the overall ambience of the pub and friendly and helpful staff.

Great pub, some very good beers / IPA’s and cracking food. Shame about one miserable guy behind the bar as the other staff couldn’t be more pleasant and helpful. Parking is a great touch too!

Love this pub. Went yesterday lunch time and tried some of their new menu. Loved the mushroom soup and the Guinness pudding!! My partner enjoyed the sirloin steak. An excellent cocktail selection too. Will be back next week, as always, for their happy hour !

I’m so glad to have stumbled across this place when checking out the local area. It’s now my absolute go to! The staff are absolutely lovely and beyond friendly and welcoming. I’ve taken multiple friends here since who have then gone onto return themselves. Great pub quiz hosted Tuesdays, and the gorgeous garden out back was a lovely sunny spot in the Summer. Great pub lunches, and the pizza hosted out back is delicious. Also great savings from the cocktail happy hours, to Prosecco Friday’s. Definitely recommend for a warm and welcoming environment!

I was there with my husband and few friends during a pub quiz night. The atmosphere and the event were spot on. The selection of drinks and beers very interesting and the service super attentive, in particular Nico made our evening very special with his brilliant recommendation on food and drinks. We can't wait to be back!

I regularly come here for dinner with my girlfriend and I literally can never fault it! The staff are so lovely and attentive, nothing is an inconvenience for them. The steak was so good I actually went back for it twice in one week! We particularly had a great time on Friday night, great atmosphere. Despite them being busy with christmas parties, the lovely young girls looked after us very well.

We had a lovely time and enjoyed some great vegan fish and chips, which our server Kirsty managed to arrange for us as the dish initially was off the menu. She took great care of us and was kind and welcoming. It was our roar time eating here and we will definitely be coming back soon.
