Eardley Road Sidings Nature Reserve

Tourist attraction β€’ Nature preserve

πŸ‘πŸ‘ What a tiny little oasis of calm where you can just sit and stare at the silver birches and listen to the birds! In summer there will be the buzz of the bees. The clean circular pathway takes you once round the woods and you can walk through as well,if you have wellies on. There is also a picnic spa... People often mention walk,

What a tiny little oasis of calm where you can just sit and stare at the silver birches and listen to the birds! In summer there will be the buzz of the bees. The clean circular pathway takes you once round the woods and you can walk through as well,if you have wellies on. There is also a picnic space in the clearing and the neighborhood takes great pride to help out with clearing the rubbish and help people enjoy an oasis of calm. I actually hear about this place from my neighbor and was not disappointed. And at such close proximity, great for a walk, run or just to to sit and soak in the ambience.

This little nature reserve is getting some wonderful attention from the local council. Today I saw a new habitat for various forms of insects, slow worms and little critters like hedgehogs and other mammal life. Very commendable!

Some parts a bit overgrown but very nice to find this place in a dense city.

Very nice reserve for visiting and spending time with friends and family in the weekend, to be honest.

Lovely to walk especially if it's dry. Once wet it is far too muddy to walk along especially if you're with some frail.

It's a lovely little place. Even better when peaceful, but it is right by a railway line

Lovely small space to escape too. Just a pity some people choose to use it as a dumping ground.

Hopefully later on in the Spring and Summer, this reserve will have more interesting things and nature to peruse.
