Nice pub with a great selection of old school games, consoles such as Sega Mega Drive, PlayStation, Guitar Hero etc. They also have board games and card games. All free to play. The male toilets were very smelly to be honest and very close to the bar area.

It is an amazing place. One of my most favourite places to visit whether it'd be after a hard day or to go somewhere for fun and drinks. Their compliment of board and video games paired with a comfortable drinking environment just eases the soul for a wonderful time. The bar staff on top of that are the most wonderful people you'll meet: fun, interesting and downright superb. If you need a place to visit for a drink and to relax, this is it. 10/10 24/7 this will be the place for you

Literally the BEST bar in Stratford. Reasonably priced drinks and a whole lot of board games. They’ve even got a ps4 and an Xbox along with Nintendo game boxes. The best place to come with your friends or even on a date. Staff are super nice and I think this is the best place for a bday party

I think I’ve found a new love! An absolute gem, packed with nice people, a damn good quiz and London’s best priced pints. So glad my friend brought me here. Really looking forward to next time! Thanks all.

Just popped in when I was searching for a local watering hole that doesn't have loud music pumping out or karaoke. I was pleasantly surprised by the mellow friendly atmosphere. The bar staff were immediately attentive and friendly. I will definitely return and tell my local friends.

Great bar tucked away not far from Stratford station. Haven’t tried the games but I know you have to hand in your ID for the controllers for security reasons. The bar had some quirky drinks as well canned drinks imported from America. Abit run down but I think that’s the charm.

Really cool place to go! Board and table games galore.. super Mario consoles. Some games are a bit disorganized and have no instructions -but that just makes them more fun. Nice big beer garden -drinks a little pricey. Super fun for a random night out.

Sometimes you want to go to a pub and play a bit of Tony Hawks on the GameCube while you sip on a pint or two. This is the first board/computer games leaning pub I’ve been to that has got the balance right. You could easily go to this pub and sink a few pints without even setting your eyes on a game, but you could go the other way and plonk yourself in front of guitar hero tapping the buttons to Van Halen. P.S Also you might get the ultimate surprise of Mr Blobby turning up on his night off.

Really good drinks, I love the concept of games and drinks. Very low key and nice place for more introverted people.

A great place to go to hang out with friends and play some board games. They have a great selection of games and the atmosphere is welcoming. It was my second time there and had a great evening. If only the served food!

Really nice atmosphere, very chilled but still a nice little buzz to the place. Being able to play games was so much fun, drinks weren't eye wateringly expensive (always a win). Definitely my go to place to grab a drink in Stratford

Great atmosphere, decent drinks selection, large outdoor area. Been here multiple times and always enjoy it, and a good crowd of people that seem to frequent the place. Highly recommend popping in just for a drink, if not the wide selection of card, video, and board games on offer.

Really fun place with a nice atmosphere. The games are great (both digital and physical) and the vibes are lush. Lots of good people both behind and in front of the bar. Drinks are not cheap but hey, we are in London. Also they don't charge to use the games so it balances.

I really want to give this place 5 stars because I love it. The people and staff are cool, and very friendly. The events they have there are brilliant. I would highly recommend the place. However, the mens toilets make me sad. That's all I'll say. You probably won't care once you're drunk enough, but yeah... I hope they do something about the toilets.

Two guys visiting down from Scotland. We’re looking for a cool enough bar in our area and decide on a drink here. My friend asked the bartender, working on the night (21:30) of Sunday 1st of May, if the bar served stout. The bartender’s response was “f**k off. Leave.” Thankfully the other locals have been incredibly kind and helpful so this didn’t dampen our perspective of our stay, and a local bar was happy to take our money. A shame though, as Escape seemed like the more entertaining option, initially.”

Pretty solid bar option. I tend to go here monthly with a gaming group and they're always very welcoming and friendly. Drinks are sensible prices, lots of indoor and outdoor space. Tonnes of board games options, with a big updated catalogue as of a month ago. The toilets need some work but I've heard they're looking to overhaul them soon. Would always recommend it as an option to others.

In an age of dying arcades, this was a place that I was overjoyed to call 'my local'. This humble pub has lots of video (and card/board/tabletop!) games playable while you sit back and enjoy a fine selection of drinks with friends, or single player! Their cocktails are also deliciously varied and fit the theme of the bar brilliantly. Make sure to check their calendar for a range of events they host regularly throughout the year. The only potential issue you may have is if you're looking for a good pub to have a Sunday roast in, as Escape Bar (or whatever they're calling themselves by the time you're reading this) has no kitchen and doesn't do food. To make up for this, though, the establishment is perfectly fine with you bringing outside food into the pub.

Great place to visit for a few drinks. They have a wide selection of boardgames, PS4s, Xbox and Switch. The staff are all friendly too.

I really like this place. You don’t have to pay to play games just of course to pay for a drink which are okay. The choice of games is diverse and you can play video games like playstation, xbox as well as retro one. If you smoke the garden is convenient. Staff is fine

It was busy, but then again it was Halloween weekend. Overall it is a good place to go too. The theme of the place is clever, especially the name lol. Friendly place. Will definitely go there again

Had a lovely time here, staff very friendly and there seems to be a nice crowd of regulars. Didn't have time to play any games, but their library of options looks great

I think this is a great bar. It has a great atmosphere. The bar staff are lovely. But. MY GOD. SORT THE TOILETS OUT! I DONT WANNA ALMOST THROW UP EVERY TIME I NEED A WEE. Everything else is so good. WHY LET US DOWN WITH THE TOILETS. LITERALLY SORT THEM OUT! I wanna bring my mates here but I can't knowing the TOILETS are that bad. IM TALKING TO THE OWNER HERE! SORT IT OUT NOW! JUST HIRER CLEANERS OR DROP A BOMB ON THE TOILETS. It's actually a health issue here, if it's not sorted soon then I'll get people in to assess it. AND I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU JUST PUT NICE SMELLY THINGS IN THERE RATHER THAN CLEAN IT PROPERLY ILL CALL INSPECTORS! Just sort that one thing out and you have an awesome bar. As I said before the staff are amazing actually the best! But them toilets. SORT it out.

We (group of 4) were looking for a nice place for drinks on a Sunday evening and we found this bar through Google in the area. Atmosphere was very cozy and they have a wide selection of board and party games available. Also plenty of books to read. Drinks were not expensive. We had a great time and would love to come here again!
