Truly authentic and high-quality Greek restaurant. I've been to Greece at least 10 times (various islands and places) and I must say this is better than 99% of the meals (I am not counting in Giros/souvlaki lol) I ate there! 😅 Staff is also super polite. Efharisto. ❤🇬🇷

We ordered a selection of items and found the food very bland. If you like very simple seasoning like oregano/salt/pepper/tomato and lemon juice, you’ll like it here. If you prefer heartier seasoning, you probably won’t.

SUMMARY: A gem in the heart of Camden. Lovely Greek place with charming and welcoming metre. Very cosy and warm like when you are visiting grandma. Food was delicious. Really good value for money. MENU: We had 2 set lunch menu, which included 1 starter and 1 main dish. STARTERS: We selected a mix of dippers (tzatziki, humus, tarama and aubergine dip) with pita bread, and lentil soup. Both were delicious. The lentil soup felt like homemade. MAIN DISHES: We picked charcoal grilled sea bass and chicken shashlik. Main courses included one side each to choose between rice, potatoes and salad. Both dishes were quite big and tasty. We couldn’t resist and order calamari as starter as well. DESSERTS: They were not included in the set list, but wanted to give it a try. We tried Kataifi and Revani. They were alright, nothing remarkable. PEOPLE: The two people attending the public were lovely chatting with us and explaining all the dishes very thoroughly.

This is one of the best Greek restaurants in London. A cosy environment and friendly staff provides the scene to enjoy delicious food and good wine! I strongly recommend it! Our preferred was the Kleftiko, the octopus and Skordalia.

The welcome and service were excellent, with explanations of the Greek dishes. Our fish dishes with rice and salad were tasty and well cooked. We had simply starters and coffee, no wine and paid £65 without service. Good value in a friendly atmosphere.

Best Greek food I've had in London, hands down! This humble restaurant transports you to an authentic Greek taverna. The atmosphere and quality of the food is exactly what I know and love about dining in Greece. Clearly popular with the locals, the staff share a personal connection with patrons which really brings a warming family feel to the place and is something seldom replicated in London. The food itself is expertly and lovingly prepared, and speaks right to the soul. The lamb kleftiko I ordered was so perfectly juicy and tender, the video speaks for itself! I hope to dine here again soon!

Oh boy, are you in for a treat! A real Greek restaurant with a most delightful family running the place. The price well I feel a little guilty... the food was so fresh and tasty and in ample portions. Nicholas was an outstanding host, waiter, and, just as I thought, his family has owned the restaurant since 1984.

It was the best decision to come here on Valentine's Day. The tables were nicely set up in this small yet non-intrusive restaurant space. Both waiters were super professional in explaining the menu and wine options. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. We ordered the Meze (for 2) which has a huge selection of cold, hot mezes and mains - perfect for those who want to try a bit of everything. I have never had such authentic and delicious Greek food before. It's hands down the best Greek restaurant, even compared to those in Greece! Everything is homemade here and I finally found the most delectable taramasalata here! This meal was perfectly paired with a glass of gorgeous refreshing Greek white wine. And lastly, the scrummy rice pudding with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Overall, the dinning experience was impeccable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Update: we visited a couple more times and tried out other dishes, they were all incredible! The moussaka and kleftiko are to die for!! You must try these when you visit here. The lamb literally pulled off the bone with a fork! Flavour was on point as always. The moussaka took a little while as it was freshly baked when ordered. It was totally worth the wait though! I love how packed full of veggies it was, it just tasted fresh and so warming! *****5 more stars to this incredible restaurant!

Omg, a Greek restaurant with real Greeks! Not white, ginger-beard hipsters! Hurray! The staff were fantastic, really friendly and accommodating and made sure to keep the door closed when customers would annoyingly not close it properly! We were greeted with a plate of delicious black olives, we ordered a bottle of house red wine (very yummy) and tap water for our group of 3. I ordered a starter of feta cheese, olive oil and chilli but sorry to say it wasn't quite spicy enough for me but I shouldn't expect Malaysian-level spice to be honest. It was yummy and went well with the toasted bread provided by the restaurant. I had the Moussaka, which came with cheese, not sure why, but it was delicious, the spices really made it, lots of cinnamon and nutmeg, so hearty in this horrible cold weather outside. Lovely crisp bits too, which are my favourite. The picture of the round plate is the Moussaka, my mum had the Kleftiko (lamb), also very yummy, and my dad had Rabbit stew, just the right amount of gaminess flavour, amazingly rich! As I said, the service was great, the waiter had a wonderful authentic Greek accent, very holistic and personal in his care, taking our jackets and storing them for us, as well as my walking aid. Lots of personality and charm. I only have 4 stars because the people behind us were loud but it's fine, it was cosy and I have no complaints.

☆Highly recommended☆ Absolute gem in the heart of Camden. Great service and lovely friendly staff. It seemed as if we had been invited to their house in Cyprus! Beautifully cooked and presented food. Will definitely visit again. 😊

I just passed by and wanted to give it a try. After all, the price of the set lunch is very reasonable. I’m so glad that I made this decision cuz the food is just amazing! I order the mixed dip for starters and Afelia as a main. Just check the third picture out and you will see how much I like the Afelia! I was hesitating about the menu, and an old lady came to me and explained everything, super friendly. Will definitely come back again soon!

A traditional Greek restaurant with delicious food and very friendly service. The food was fresh, authentic and right on the mark. We ate halloumi, hummus, greek salad, octopus, seabream, swordfish steak, roast potatoes and dessert too. Would highly recommend. This place is clearly an institution.

Stumbled across Daphne's kind of by accident, hadn't booked but we were made most welcome. Ordered a vegetarian/fish meze which want on the menu but wasn't a problem for the very friendly staff. The food was delicious and can't recommend enough. Totally recommend if you want a lovely Greek food experience.

Used to come here loads when over more floors. Went back yesterday. ordered the Meze, fantastic value, and delicious. Not an atypical fill you up with bread and cheaper ingredients place, like MANY other places. Nick, the waiter, even remembered our names after not been there for at least 4 years. Great wine list too, very cheap considering the location. Believe the reviews that google give, worth more than 5 stars in my view.

Visited twice and now my favourite restaurant in London, makes us feel like we're on holiday. Nice relaxed and friendly service with good food. The Greek salad is very good and served with most mains. Nice selection of specials that are often seafood and very fresh. The portions don't look enormous but we are always well fed. Good wine selection at a good price, try the ouzo.

We found this restaurant by accident and had no reservations. The staff was super accommodating and let us wait outside for a table- they even gave us olives while we waited for the table to become available. The food was outstanding and the service perfect. The prices are very fair and everything we ordered was delicious. I am vegan and they bad plenty of options for me! My friend enjoyed the octopus and said it was cooked to perfection. My personal favourite were the beans with spinach, the roasted aubergine and the aubergine dip. Great evening complimented by perfect food and very kind staff!

My family and I just got back from a 2-week trip in the UK. Of all the restaurants we went to, we were most pleased with Daphne. We raved about it the entire trip. The food was the best Greek food we've ever had. Everyone was super happy with their choices - especially the ones who chose lamb! The service was impeccable, and they truly know how to make you feel like family. And most surprising was how reasonably priced everything was! For the time and care clearly put into every dish it really felt like a steal 😬 We can't wait to go back to London just to eat at Daphne again! 💕

Loved it here, we were really lucky to go on spec on a Saturday evening and were lucky to get a table which had been reserved but the people didn't turn up. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the food was excellent and not too expensive for London. This is a real gem, it's very small but very popular so book ahead if you want to go here. We will definitely be back.

The staff and owners here are utterly phenomenal, making an already fantastic culinary experience exquisite. The food is fresh, authentic and always delicious. After 5 years of ordering many different, wonderful items off of the daily set menu, we ventured into the lamb kleftiko a la carte (pictured), and our taste buds exploded. So juicy and tender. Pair with a lovely bottle of Aphrodite wine, and voila (chef's kiss).

Traditional family run Greek Cypriot taverna, with typical food. Very friendly people who have been here a long time. We went at lunch where there's a daily special menu two courses £11.50 plus drinks. Seemed to be a steady flow of regular locals, and some from overseas, so its popular. We shared mixed dips, and my wife tried the Mousaka, and I ordered chicken, all delicious. That probably wasn't very adventurous, but it was our first visit, but we will definitely be returning to taste more. House wine is £21/bottle.
