First time at the Roundhouse for a gig seeing Pale Waves. Everything was brilliant, the queue to get in was fast and took 2 seconds to get to the standing area. You have a perfect view from wherever you stand and toilet are close.

This is a beautiful venue for concerts and performing arts, with a special and unique history. Long may its present incarnation continue. The venue was once a railway turntable and later a railway shed, and at one point it was home to the underground International Times, which focused on alternative music. Now it is a hive of interesting activity, offering food and drink venues in support of their musical events, and advertising a range of local cultural activities.

I visited The Roundhouse to see Zara Larson, and was impressed with the venue. It’s ina beautiful building, and it’s a great size, big enough to have a great atmosphere but small enough to get great views. Toilets were clean, bars were busy but efficient and we didn’t have to wait too long to get served, and overall we had a fantastic evening! I’d certainly be back to see other artists, as it’s a great venue.

Fantastic circular venue for live music in Camden. Holding about 3,500 people with large stage. Standing on ground floor with seated circle above. Bars and toilets thought-out the venue. Long queues on busy nights but well staffed. Excellent sound system with clear, crisp amplification of music. Good sightlines from all around the stage. Only quibble is the pricey drinks, but that's how it goes these days.

This is a great venue. We did have to queue up for 20 minutes to get in but all was good in the end given it was 30° outside. It was really hot so they could have done slightly better with the ventilation but overall a good venue. The show was houseful, stage and sound overall was pretty good. Would definitely recommend watching shows here.

I visited this fabuulous venue for a dinner event on a weekday. The venue is located in the heart of Camden. We were all fascinated by its architecture and design. The venue is perfectly adapted to accommodate large-scale events. Starting with reception and clock room area followed by a great reception area which on this occasion was on the upper floor which ring-fences the dining hall and the stage. The dining area was initially curtained off, and once the curtains were drawn, one can see the full beauty of the space. The table plan was displayed on electronic boards situated around the drink reception area. Service was impeccable from start to finish. Staff was really attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. Food was served promptly a d for a banquet it was to a great quality a d standard. The acoustics were great too, which is expected from such venue. Overall, we had a great experience and I can not wait to visit this place again.

The place was big and audio great the band that played were fantastic and the bar was well stocked. But there was a massive queue outside even at 9 when the band was expected so getting in was long. Inside it felt a bit overcrowded as people were bumping into each other often to get drinks or go the loo. Facilities are fantastic with many loos, but think was just too many in the space.

This was the first time visiting the Roundhouse and it has almost immediately become one of my top venues for live music. The auditorium as you would gather from the name is round and this offers amazing acoustics. I found the sound to offer great bass, some loss around the mids, and decent highs. This translated to feeling that kick and vibration from the drums and bass, and being able to clearly hear the vocals. The guitars lost some clarity but not an issue if you know exaxtly what is being played. The building itself has a very interesting history, is easy to walk to, has plenty of places to eat nearby, along with toilets and bars on each of the different floors. Staff were professional and friendly and the emphasis was very much on enjoying good times safely. While masks were not enforced, there was ample space to see the band keeping a distance from others, and also plenty of sanitation points. I will absolutely be keeping an eye out for bands I like that are booked to play here.

Consistently a great venue. Acoustics are very good. Views are decent due to shape of venue. Been to many gigs here and never been disappointed by quality of set up. Been to corporate events also and they have been positive. Would recommend for both gigs and for a corporate event.

A lovely concert space. Easy and quick entry, despite the crowd of people. Bar setup inside is great. Acoustics are decent. If you book a seat in the balcony, it seems every one provides a great view of the stage.

Great venue for a gig. Clean, well laid out, plenty of staff around. Drinks are very pricey so you may want to find a pub for drinks before entry. Cloakroom is very efficient even after a busy gig

We had to queue for ages in the rain to get in and missed the support band for this reason. Seats were reasonably comfortable and closeness to the stage in the balcony was good. Leaving the venue was awful - it was very, very slow and crowded.

Went for a concert. A nice music venue. The floor is flat so if you're short like me good luck seeing much on stage, if I were to go back I'd pick a balcony view. There are lots of toilets which is good. Staff were nice. Main flaw was that there was a massive queue to leave after the concert as every door seemed to open into the same corridor which was quite claustrophobic.

Great venue, fantastic location too. Security seem on the ball and the cloakroom is handy, £3 an item but you know your stuff is safe, nobody will take your belongings as it's all done via photo and SMS. Sound is brilliant in the venue and the layout gives a good view wherever you are in there. Always up for a gig at The Roundhouse!

Great venue, visited for recent Baxter Dury gig (which was superb). All the staff are really helpful, no massive queues for cloakrooms or bar or anything. Great sound setup and stagecand a really nice space to see a band. Will be coming back again

Fabulous historical venue, friendly staff and great viewing angles. The VIP bar is cool too as you can watch the bands looking down to the parallel to the side of the stage. We saw The Virginmarys and The Sisters of Mercy

I visited last night for The Darkness concert. I’ve never been there before but will be very much looking forward to returning. I loved the building; it gave the whole experience an extra special feel to it. It was easy to find (straight across the road from (Chalk street tube), there are plenty of places to eat nearby too. Though there is a bar/cafe in the building which looked good (we wish we’d eaten there before the show rather than the place we did go!) Was a really fantastic night!

Great venue once in but the queue was horrendous. It wouldn't put me off going again. I would recommend seated for the best views, as it is standing only on the floor not so good if you are short. Atmosphere was great

Beautiful venue. The sound was fantastic, there were good views, and the bands were brilliant. Terrible phone signal to pull up our tickets though!

Fantastic night at the Roundhouse. We showed up early, and the team was extremely helpful in confirming our names and giving us the right directions. Security search was through, and all bags were checked before entry to the venue. A support team appeared to be new on the night. However, they always checked their reference sheets before granting access to different areas. Drinks were also reasonably priced, which is always a nice bonus!

Quick and easy to get in, performance was good. However staff did not check bags or scan people properly. I was in the line to be scammed and was told by staff it was not necessary. Many bags were not searched. Leading to people smoking weed inside the venue and possibly carrying weapons. Great venue but staff need to take their jobs more seriously.

What an amazing venue. First visit to see dead south oct 23. Sound quality was fantastic not too long a queue at the bars and the door/venue staff were really nice people not just rentamob. Easy to get to and tickets not extortionate. Will defo be going back.

This is a fantastic music venue in London. Not only is the building a beautiful work of art but the accomodation of people within it; the chance to be able to sit down on the upper tier, the hospitality available throughout the venue, makes it's a worth while place to visit if given the chance. Seats were really comfortable!

Amazing Event space. Really atmospheric and has a comfortable feel about it. and the acoustics were great. Would recommend a visit. I would go back again.

Amazing venue filled with history with really good sound from where I was sitting. Unfortunately there was a pillar right in the way of the lead singer for the entire show!

Great venue. Been here for gigs, galas, shows… just an amazing space.

  • 5/5 Martin G. 2 years ago on Google
Great location, a very impressive interior, and some of the nicest staff I've seen at a show. Sound depends — it was definitely much better down in the "pit" than up on the balcony. Glad that gigs are back — especially in venues like these!

  • 5/5 Paul Le S. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful venue, great vibe, friendly staff (mostly). If going for music, don't get too close to the front, speakers are positioned in a way that you'll hear the music better from further back.

Always impressed with this venue as it's amazing inside and well organised. We were concerned on our latest visit as we had someone with us who had health issues so we thought we might have to leave the gig early if she couldn't manage to stand, but the box office staff were great and managed to find us seating at late notice so we didn't have to miss a second. Excellent service and concert!

Amazing venue for concerts and gigs! I've been there twice now and every time it's been a wonderful experience. The venue feels so personal and when you get standing tickets you can really get close to the stage and have a great time with the band literally a few meters away from you. There's a bar inside as well which makes it really easy to get refreshments before or during the gig. The atmosphere is brilliant. Only downside might be the length of the cloakroom queue after the event ends, but that's somewhat inevitable. If you can, I recommend you come with very few belongings and keep them on you during the event. The venue is really spacious and doesn't get very warm! I've had such a great time there both times and I will definitely be coming back!

The long awaited and postponed Jarv'is gig was great as was the venue, both online and on the day. One of London's best live music venues with that up close and personal feeling with the act.

Small venue that hosts mainly music gigs. My first visit and it is an interesting building that has connections to the Railway. It was a Heaven 17 gig and was very busy but got in and out easily and the bar queues were ok. No problem getting a decent view standing on the floor of the venue.

First visit to the Roundhouse. I can see why people like it. The setting & style is unique, & suited the gig, but I can also see why it works for stage works/theatre, etc. If you're sat in Level 2, be prepared for a slightly restricted view due to the pillars. The bars get busy at intervals, so plan ahead. The only small "down tick" is that after a performance, everyone is trying to get out through the one set of (wide) stairs and one entry/exit point. It got a congested when I was there, so if you're claustrophobic, maybe wait a little while before exiting.

Beautiful venue, great music, bar serves a good range of drinks and crisps. Felt covid safe. I will be back!

The Roundhouse is an awesome grade 2 listed building situated in the heart of Camden Town. The staff there are really friendly and helpful and the venue is a good size, with a nice sound system, you are also allowed to take children to some gigs so it was great for me to be able to take my 14 year old son to see Cradle of Filth. The Roundhouse also supports young people who have been excluded, and hosts various arts and media projects within the community.

Visited the venue on various occasions, most recently for Desertfest 2022. Watched a few bands from the standing area and it was great although the sound can be a bit muddy if the venue isn't full, but I guess that's down to shape and high ceiling. Also tried the seating upstairs and the sound and view were great.

  • 4/5 Stephen W. 1 year ago on Google
Staff were friendly, queues for bar moved at a reasonable pace. Eat before you arrive, options inside are rubbish! Great venue for intimate gigs.

What a beautiful venue! Was shooting Christopher Kane’s latest fashion show! The place has dynamism and so dramatic! Beautiful interiors and huge. Would love to drop by for more shows in future. Nicely maintained and should be visited once if you are in London.

Really great mid-size concert venue. Good location, nice staff, great acoustics. Excellent accessibility. Even has a nice restaurant/bar in the front. edit: I have removed a star in the spirit of inclusiveness, because I remember shorter friends complaining that the floor not sloping meant they couldn't see much onstage. So if you want a good view either sit upstairs or get there earlier and go further forward.

This place is the best indoor music venue in London in my opinion. Good size, but never too far from the stage. Great acoustics and all in the most magical building
