Wow! This little place really packs a punch in its sandwichs. Located in a cute little retro diner, it's got it all going on with only the best of 4 items on the menu. Fresh tastry and delish! Thank you Max! You've outdone yourself. Opens 11am. 🍞

Pure happiness. Sure, the sandwiches are epic. But it's the little touches, like Negroni shots, iced water on arrival, banging micheladas and the warmest service from Cameron and the team. A London institution loaded with mayonnaise 😍😋🥖

I am disappointed! Now my life is ruined. And I truly regret visiting this place. Wherever I go, whatever I will eat, no sandwich will be the same anymore! It was too delicious O.o amazingly good. Freshly served and so appetizing I trully will miss it when coming back home. And the service was good too! 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆 🦡🦡 🇲🇽

What fabulous sandwiches!!! Absolutely outstanding. We had a side of wings to start, which were perfect. So crunchy, with a fantastic dressing and slices of pickled onion (beautiful pink ones, not the brown ones you get from the chippy!) Then the sandwiches - just amazing. If you go, try everything that's on that days menu. The focaccia was light as a feather and the fillings - Ham,egg & chips; Chicken Caesar and lastly Spring rolls. They were a revelation. Service was fabulous and the whole place has a really friendly and relaxed feel. Dog friendly too, which is an added bonus. Make plans to go, as it's somewhere far too good to miss.

We have been wanting to visit Max’s Sandwich shop for as long as we can remember, and TODAY was the DAY!! 🤩 A very cool sandwich shop in Crouch Hill, a small yet constant queue outside speaks echoes for how good this place was going to be! Inside, awaiting you is some of the friendliest and nicest service you will ever receive! Honestly, the lads working today were absolutely top notch - funny, helpful and just looked liked they really enjoyed doing what they do!! Decor around the shop is eye catching and often very very funny, you find yourself being drawn to something new between each bite of your sarnie! ✊🏻👏🏻 The menu was right up our street - interesting, fun and full of different flavours and textures! It genuinely was difficult to make a choice, but it just gives us even more reason to go back again and again!! Our fave things: the sandwich was truly epic, every bite felt like it chucked up new flavours and combos… if you go to one place for brunch/lunch in the next few weeks, make sure this is it!! 📍🚇| 10/12 mins walk from Finsbury Park station.

The thing about having the best sandwich in the world is you’re sure as hell not gonna think to take a photo (or video) until your halfway through (or done). And that’s exactly why you’re watching a video of 1/2 a gluten free ceaser salad sandwich (which had a much pithier, wittier name than how I’ve just described it - and which was made on pretty abysmal gluten free bed from the corner shop - but which somehow made the best sandwich I’ve EVER HAD) and the remaining crumbs from the Korean sandwich (which also was much more eloquently described on the menu). Long and short of it is - come to Max’s. This place is phenomenal. Can’t wait to return!

Stopped by for a quick sandwich after months of wanting to visit. First of all, the service is unbelievable. Friendly, accommodating, and warm. You feel like you are sitting at a friends house. The sandwich was beautiful and surprisingly filling, they were also very accommodating to my allergies. Washed it down with a glass of cider at the cosy window seat. Will definitely be back.

I didn’t think they could better the ham and chips sandwich but holy shxt the Thanksgiving sandwich (THANKSGIVING SARNIE OF DREAMS! TURKEY SCHNITZEL, SAUERKRAUT, STUFFING, SAUSAGE, AND WILD TURKEY GLAZED BACON CRUMB, A FRIED EGG, AND A WILD TURKEY GRAVY MUSTARD MAYO) was incredible. Please do this every year 🙏🏻 you made two homesick British/Americans happy. Tip: no reservations so if you get there, go in and get a number for dine in or go in and place order for take out. It’s popular and small. Be prepared to wait outside.

Wow - the rumors about Max’s is true! This is one of londons, if not the, best sandwich joints. As we were here for brunch it would have rude not to hit the Ham Egg & Chips sandwich! Knockout. Service is simple, entertaining and prompt. Can definitely recommend a cup of Joe, will be back next time for the house special cocktails. 🍸

I don’t have a strong palette for food, but this sandwich awoke my senses! I could taste different flavours and it was definitely worth the trip. The dessert was stunning too.

Holy Mother of God! I had Dre's Silky Bechamel Lasagne Sandwich. Undoubtedly the best Sandwich I have ever had. I am so coming back to this place 😆 great service by the way too, but, my god, I'm lost for words. It's unadulterated carbon heaven. Just f***ing visit!

Love the vibe inside and good music. Didn’t have to wait long for a table. Incredible silky bechamel sandwich! Max has crafted a magical place here. Service was great too. Already excited to return.

It's my second and definitely not the last visit! Me and my best friend traveled with Everton for their away fixture against Arsenal. The staff was super friendly despite us wearing Everton tops. We picked the classic ham and chips sandwich and we were not disappointed. Beautifully soft focaccia, shoe string fries were super crispy, ham hock full of flavour and perfectly moist, egg was still runny when we got to the ground, malt vinegar was nicely cut through the flavours, the only thing we wish there was more of is their tasty piccalilli, nevertheless it was a great sandwich, well worth the walk. Until next time! P.S. Get the negroni shots while you wait :)

Great food, amazing experience! It's obvious that you're going to get a sandwich in Max's Sandwich shop, that's expected. What you don't expect it's the amazing vibre you'll experience when you enter this magical place. Everyone is ready to help with a smile, you see frequent customers interacting with the staff, everybody is happy, nobody wants to leave. Maybe it's the Ninja Turtles or the superheroes flying hanging from the walls, or the old dog cards next to your table. Let's not figure it out, let's just call it magic. Max's Sandwich shop is a magical place, and the sandwiches are TO DIE FOR.

One of the BEST sandwiches I've ever had! A random find that turned into a place I'll definitely go back to! Sandwiches are flavourful and packed with fillings. Plus, you get a glass of tap water as soon as you sit down (great service)! I recommend The Korean Gangster and the Ham, Egg 'N' Chips! Can't stress it enough, go HERE!

What a sandwich 🥪 excellent atmosphere and the food was just brilliant was not 100% sure about a sandwich for dinner but this was total the right choice. Could be good to have another veggie option in the menu and a non alcoholic beer but that's would just add to the experience.

the vegetarian sandwich was SO GOOD I'm still thinking about it, a bit pricey but worth it. we only had to queue for 20 mins or so, and they were really understanding and helpful with my mate who has lots of allergies and food-restrictions. and it's dog-friendly! 10/10

Best Sandwiches Ever!!! Made the trip to the shop when down in London on holiday with the family (11, 8, 5 yr olds) after seeing Max on channel 4 couple years back. The pilgrimage was well worth it! We had Lasagna sandwich, Caeser Sandwich and Ham, Egg and Chips sandwich and all were out of this world. The Spuds with pickled stuff and katsu sauce was also amazing. Staff were spot on with nice chilled way about them and took on the kids. Would be there every week if didn't live 500 miles away.

I went here today and had the Ham egg and chips sandwich. Also ordered a Negroni. The sandwich was outstanding, the staff were welcoming and service was great. Not enough places like this in London in my opinion. I went all the way from Shepherds Bush to try it out so I wouldn’t be a regular but I would definitely make the pilgrimage over there from time to time. It’s worth the hike trust me!

What a taste explosion! This is the kind of sandwich spot you hope for when you think of sandwiches. Also, I didn't go expecting to get wings, but the toppings intrigued me, so I had to try - and was I glad I did! The rich sauce with the pickled onions wasn't something I would have imagined with wings, and I feel like I've been eating wings wrong my whole life now.

It's got a mini pub vibe. Staff very friendly and service can't be faulted. The sandwiches are huge so make sure you go with a good appetite.

Max's Sandwich Shop is outstanding from the time you wait outside to the very end. I particularly enjoyed the service from James on the day I went. Make sure you get a ticket at the door that will save your place in the queue. Enjoy the Mac and cheese balls, the chicken wings and the specialist sandwiches I had that day which were the chicken chips and egg sandwich, the Max's monster munch and an ode to adana. All spectacular mix of flavours! They know combinations of flavours and I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who wants the best sandwiches in london!

Our experience at Max's Sandwich Shop was truly transformative! The Ham & Egg and Et Tu Brute sandwiches were absolute delights. The unique combinations of flavours left us thoroughly impressed. Highly recommend for a culinary adventure!
