Huge west end theatre. Massive size, beautiful with fantastic acoustics. Good comfy seats. We watched the nutcracker ballet Xmas production. Good production with excellent staging but the ballet was not top notch as some nutcracker productions we had seen in London. Still, great experience.

Went there to see la Traviata and it was a great experience. The building is beautiful. Couldn't help but imagine how people enjoyed opera in old times. The show was good, the production was amazing. And music was the best feature!

We went to see Ballet, Giselle. It was a great experience. Staff were all very helpful and polite. Beautiful theatre, and still kept in good condition. The only negative comment i have is the seats. I am quite petite and i find the seat very small and uncomfortable. We can't take pictures during the performance, hence, I only these 2 pictures 😁

The venue is very nice, we were watching Opera "La Traviara" . Our seats were in the balcony. 2 hours performance without interval was far to long. Seats are not designed for long sitting. Would definitely advise to have interval for any performance longer then an hour.

Beautiful theatre- very well maintained. Sufficient staff but very chaotic at the front door where they check your tickets and bag due to small space (for people with tickets at the upper circle). The layout of the location was confusing and it felt like I went through the backdoor as the stairs and hallway were different to the people who held stall seats- their staircase were much nicer decorated. It definitely felt like there’s a gap with social classes.

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Nutcracker at the London Coliseum and it was truly a magical experience. The sets, costumes, and choreography were all stunning and transported me to the world of the Nutcracker. The dancers were all incredibly talented and their performances were breathtaking. I was thoroughly entertained from beginning to end and left the theater feeling uplifted and inspired. I would highly recommend the Nutcracker at the London Coliseum to anyone looking for a festive and unforgettable evening out in London.

Saw Hairspray. Great feel good, hilarious show with a super cast including Michael Ball and Les Dennis. This is a fabulous old theatre - home of the English National Opera - with super staggered, raked, seating for a clear view of the stage. The decorative plasterwork is magnificent. Covid predating and checks were great.

Great experience watching The Nutcracker here. Well done set and very talented people on stage, the English National Ballet. Great show for everyone at any age. We really liked it.

The venue itself is smaller compared to some other venues. But the sound quality and overall experience of watching a musical here was amazing. Highly recommend ‘We will rock you’ which was playing when we visited. The seats are not upgraded to be able to hold your drinks or food but everything else is worthy of a great theatre experience!

Went to see the 7 Deaths of Maria Callas, what a fantastic opera! Sat quite high up on the balcony, third floor, seat 51. This was the final seat in the row, so there is a great deal of leg room, however my friend next to me in seat f50 didn’t has so much. The view is fine, however is slightly blocked at some parts to the left. There was also somebody a few rows down from us who kept standing up which blocked our view even more at times. Sound in the venue is great and the actual venue as a whole is absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend a visit here!

Had attended to visit the Mongal Khan performance on 29/11/2023 So, the problem with the set I found is the display for subtitles. For those sitting in the ‘Stalls’ the eye level of the performance and reading English subtitles when speaking Mongolian, was somewhat straining. It was more applicable to those sitting in the dress circle. I personally found the positioning of the display for subtitles not positioned well and not big enough. There was a hitch in one of the scenes, to which they had to re-do the performance. The intermission was also somewhat strange. The second half of the performance was longer than the first. So not balanced. The decor is more upkept compare to that of other theatres I’ve attended. The narrative about the Mongolian empire was somewhat overstretched. The plot is simply about, baby-swapping, betrayal, adultery, traditional rituals of Mongolian becoming a Khan ruler. Emotional segments and lots of moon scenic tones. Sadly, being an advocate of the Mongolian Empire history. I was expecting to be a little more epic and felt Genghis Khan would have depicted the story-telling with more shock and awe. A little flat for my liking.

Beautiful venue that hosts Ballet, Opera and usually a big musical for the summer period. The Coliseum has beautiful historical features and good sound and pleasant seats. Enjoyed The Nutcracker ballet on my last visit and sat in a box which was a great experience. The orchestra was sublime and the dancing spectacular. The staff are friendly and helpful moving the lines along as you enter. Toilet queue is crazy for the stalls area for women. Lots of steps to get to different levels but there is a lift avaliable.

Nicely decorated theatre, with no set dress code with lots of cubicles in the ladies toilets. The face value of tickets for good seats are very expensive, but the TodayTix app has a few daily rush tickets for Hairspray at a bargain price. Although there were announcements suggesting guests wear masks, many didn't.

Very central to get to by trains. Staff were very organised outside with pre-paid ticket entrance making it quicker to check in and get inside from the cold. Once inside we had to find out way to our floor. Security was good and very quick. Most staff were on floors instead of key areas to direct customers in but we eventually found our floor, row and seats. For the price we paid felt the seeing position was fair and the viewing and sound point was perfect. The show ‘Rumi the Musical’ was great. At interval time their was a refreshment floor to purchase drinks and ice cream which we did. Drinks i felt was reasonable price, ice cream £5 a tub also ok and fair considering what a price of ice cream in most restaurants are locally. Each floor had clean toilets but very busy so try to go before you arrive at venue. The second half of show was great. I would have love to have seen more of Rumi quotes within the show but guess they cant cover everyone. Both me and my wife both had a great evening thank you to all staff very friendly…

First time at the Coliseum and loved this beautiful venue! Very clean and well run. We sat in the back of the stalls for The Handmaid’s Tale and could see the stage and conductor very well! The gorgeous theatre with statues of lions on the sides and the beautiful ceiling make this theatre so special. I’d love to try sitting in on of the higher levels next time so I can watch the musicians play in the pit. They had water jugs with paper cups you could drink from for free during intermission. The staff was really friendly too! Check out the gift shop of you want anything for children or music lovers. Can’t wait to come back!

So beautiful inside. I saw the ballet and enjoyed it. I was initially worried about visibility from the back rows of the balcony, as those were the only available seats at the time. However, everything turned out great. The performance was captivating, and the view from the balcony exceeded my expectations. A truly memorable experience!

Went to see Handmaid's Tale here. Show is really good and the view was nice. Be aware about booking seats with Restricted Legroom ESPECIALLY if your 6ft+. Other than that, can't wait to come back soon.

I went to watch the Mongol Khan, but I had never been at the London Coliseum before. Try to get seats between the ground floor and the 1st balcony, as the play I've seen had a screen in the background that was imperceptible to the audience on the highest balcony, as you can see from the pictures attached.

Such a beautiful theatre! We watched we will rock you which was fabulous! We had seats in the balcony F49, 50, 51 which did have couple of blind spots to the show. But all in all great!

Very comfy nice view from the upper circle - no snacks in the auditorium at the interval so you have to join the external queue, but a minor gripe for sure. Show was great, if you like Queen, if you didn’t know it was just a way of shoe horning and animating the songs , you’d be lost. Second half in particular is so hit to hit without any investment in what’s going on…. Apart from thinking which hit where / but at no point do you care an iota for the characters.

Interesting Theater and Musical, unfortunately we're "upgraded" from middle of first row upper circle, to a side of fourth row on dress circle. Both upper circles had been closed.

Beautiful old theatre which made the trip for me. We saw the ballet, Swan Lake and apart from fairly small seats, we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.

A historical London theatre with great decorations in central London. I came to see the Nutcracker with my mum this year! We sit on the upper circle. The view was good and no restrictions. But the legroom is quite squashed cause it won’t have enough space. The Nutcracker show was fabulous! Will definitely watch again another Christmas time!

We went to see The Mongol Khan for opening night. Such a great show and would recommend to anyone if they ever perform in the UK again. Although the event was crowded staff moved queues along fairly quickly and were very helpful.

We went to see the Nutcracker a few days before Christmas. The theatre has beautiful architecture & historical features. The bar staff were excellent & had a pre-order service, which made everything run smooth & kept the queues to a minimum

Such a beautiful theatre venue. The architecture is stunning and the art beautiful. Plus there was ample space no matter the seats and all levels are accessible. Went to go see The Nutcracker. If you can go, definitely do! Utterly mesmerising!

Cheap seats Balcony row c seats 9-10 restricted view. Woman in front of me restricted my view slightly and I couldn't see the front of the stage but luckily once screen came up they were further back on stage so I could see everything. I would recommend going further back and more to the centre if your getting budget seats. Raymonda the ballet was beautiful but I had no idea what was going ongoing on so after a while started to get bored. I wish I had either read more about the whole story before hand or brought the programme as I was lost. The music was lovely though. I was upset my tickets when down to half price afterwards but I understand why now. It was like watching a movie with no sound or subtitles lol and trying to figure out what's happening. Def read up before u go.
