I honestly don't really know why this place has such great reviews. When I entered, I sat myself, in an outdoors creaky tent, had very little service, etc. I ordered a western omelette with a side of corned beef hash. The omelette had green peppers, onions, and ham. The ham cubes were 'seared' fine, but the onions and green peppers were nearly raw. The corned beef hash definitely came pre-cooked out of a can and on top of that was burnt. I expected better since DK's has a lot of really great reviews, but it just seems like a place that sold donuts and eventually tried to expand into a full-service diner - without understanding much of what makes a diner, a diner. For what it's worth, their menu seemed overpriced as well. I got some donuts too, those were good, maybe if you're just stopping by to pick up some donuts I'd recommend it, but otherwise I honestly wouldn't. I won't be going back.

First time here smaller little restaurant with a small parking lot love the decor on the inside of the restaurant wonderful friendly attentive customer service received our food hot fast and fresh getting our drinks wasn't a big deal the young lady we had was so nice and friendly. Our food we received was a fairly large portion tasted delicious I definitely highly recommend this place! Will be coming back again.

This place has an awesome atmosphere. Half of it is outside in the open air, they have a drink bar where you can grab coffee, juice, or soda. And then they also sell donuts. The wait time can be crazy. We came at around 11 and had a 40 minute wait. So be prepared for that. I found that the food was mediocre. I had the Chorizo hash and it was 90% potatoes. At least the potatoes were well spiced and the prices were fair. They do have a fair number of interesting menu items, so I think it's worth stopping by again.

OMG! I had my breakfast in about 5 minutes after ordering. Food was super hot and delicious. I ordered the western omelette. Packed full of veggies and meat. They gave me a coffee while I waited for my table. This is the way! Can't wait to come back to try more of the menu. Please hit like if you found this post helpful

A great place to start your day. I was heading somewhere else and on a whim went here instead. I'm glad I stopped in The cronut was divine, each perfectly flaky bite put me right back in France with the true art of making a croissant. Although, this one was glazed and had a caramel drizzle which is completely western, but delectable and went great with their house blend. I also Dana's breakfast sandwich, which is a BLTE on Texas toast, but it was done just right. The bread was evenly toasted, not too much or too little. The L&T were fresh and the egg cooked just under over hard so it made the combo just right. Most of their doughnuts are cake style. I got an eclair for a friend and tried a small piece. The icing and filling were just the right amount of sweet, unlike others where you bite in and almost feel a cavity growing. Friendly and attentive service. If you're looking for a place to work they're hiring. @thewhitakerreview #Columbus#Diner#Doughnut#Food

A bit of quirky atmosphere. Half of the seating is indoor and the other half is outdoors. They use every seat in the place so don't be afraid to sit next to someone you don't know. I ordered the "Teny" and it was very good. It was a huge serving. I wanted to try a little bit of everything. I liked the self serve coffee bar, however, the lids on the to-go cups could be better. It popped right off. We had to flag down a server for more ketchup on the table. I also liked that I could pay the bill using a A QR Code.

A great experience. The donut sandwich was delicious. They sold out of french toast as I ordered. There was about an hour wait. It was totally worth it. Got to sit out on the patio.

It's got a weird set up that made it a little unpleasant for me. But it seems to be many peoples thing! They encourage the qr menu (my phone is chronically dying) but have paper if you prefer. The menu has lots of options! The drinks are all self serve unless it's alcoholic. And they didn't try to upsell us on anything which is usually nice lol. The check out can be qr or at the counter. The chicken and waffle was so good not actually spicy, but the waffle was sweet and had a perfect texture! (But not as good as ethyl and tank) It was worth the try but it'd be awhile before i visit again.

I'll give it five stars for the donut sandwich, donuts and prices. The donut sandwich was amazing and crispy. The donut-batter pancakes didn't strike me as out of the norm. Husband has an Italian sub that we thought was ok. Yummy homemade chips to go with it though. Drinks are self-serve. Wait staff was kind.

Easily one of the top 5 breakfast places in Columbus. "DK All The Way" is a fantasy come true when you want a tasty, hearty, and creamy meal to kick start the day. The gravy is insane! "The Skillet" is awesome. The donut Sandi or burger are surprisingly good. Fresh coffee & donuts... Too many good things to list. Do yourself a favor and just go.

Found this place on accident! Love the all day breakfast option❤️ went after an appointment and wasn’t busy around 3pm ish. Food came out really fast and fresh! Very good and love the Sriracha mayo! !! Only reason I give a 4 star cause straight up garbage coffee 🥲

We had the chorizo hash, waffle, and biscuits & gravy. All very good! Great cup of coffee and Bloody Mary. Very quaint atmosphere, with indoor and out door seating. You can buy coffee, adult beverages and donuts while waiting for a table. Serve yourself beverages, other then alcohol. Cool neighborhood breakfast/brunch spot!

Lots of great things about this place! Love the atmosphere. Love the self serve drinks. Love that the restaurant nestled in a neighborhood. Friendly service, lots of food and outdoor seating. Feel bad to give 3 stars when there are so many things to love about this place. Taking off 1 star because the coffee wasn’t the best. Coffee is one of the main reasons for breakfast and we want to love it or at the least like it. The other star is taken off because the biscuits were hard and cold in the biscuits and gravy. Potatoes were also cold. Not a pleasant breakfast. I would not want to return.

I cannot believe that I've lived in Columbus for over two decades and didn't know this place was here! It is a quaint, tiny little diner tucked away in a quaint, tiny little part of town. We had sandwiches, salads, fresh cut fries and even some of their homemade donuts. I cannot wait to come back for breakfast and bring the whole family! So far based on my first visit, I would put this on any "must visit" list for the area!

Stopped in for a quick bite and really appreciated their sandwich selections. Ordered the Rueben and onion rings. Was delicious all the way through. After reading reviews, will have to return for their doughnuts.

Very tasty diner but very busy! If you go for weekend breakfast or brunch, expect there to be a 45 minute wait. Their pay counter is pretty disorganized and it can be annoying to have to wait for 5 tables to pay the cashier before you can pick up a carry out order. But the food is great! Their wake up burger is awesome!! Staff are nice, one waiter gave us leftover donuts at the end of the day!

This place screams local atmosphere. It was a great dining experience. Food was great, people were even greater. The place looks very sketchy, but don't let that deter you. I recommend the Turkey Club, but everyone enjoyed what they had.

Generally, this place is great, and I visit with my gym partners at least once a week, if not more. In the past, we've always had great service, the food is tasty, and I really enjoy helping out a small business. Today, however, soured our experience. We arrived and there were a number of tables open on the patio, but not yet cleaned. Typically, the staff tell us that we can sit where ever there is an open table, and they clean the table off once they have a free minute. This time, my friend asked a waitress whether we could sit wherever was open, and the response, in a snippy and dismissive tone, was: "I'm waiting on people at this other table right now, so you're just going to have to wait until another server is available." We ended up seating ourselves anyway, and the waiter who then helped us was great. Unfortunately, I couldn't focus on enjoying the experience though, because the tone and resulting tension caused by this waitress made it an unpleasant experience. I'll likely visit again someday, as I hate to allow one grouchy waitress have such a negative effect on things, but customer service is king in today's world and it may be awhile before I go back.

This was really good food and staff was outstanding. We came in for a late dinner on a Friday night at 8:00 p.m. It was after the dinner rush. The diner's food was homestyle and excellent. The chips are delicious. They had great signature cocktails that quenched my thirst and was completely unexpected at a diner. They're definitely known for donuts, but I found their grill to be very satisfying. Definitely will be returning for another visit.

Always a great time with tasty hot and fresh breakfast options. I ordered the house pancakes and impossible patty sandwich. I love the tiny gold butters that are reminiscent of Irish cream butter (super tasty). The impossible patty needed more seasoning but the egg was cooked perfectly and the sandwich was altogether good. An amazing croissant donut with caramel drizzle on my way out and you can never go wrong.

Awesome place! I love discovering different diners. This one hits all the marks that make a good diner. Some things I like about this one in particular, is the self serve coffee station and drinks. They have all different types of coffee mugs and cups that you can choose from. The inside is small, but there’s also a few outdoor seats that are heated. The food was great, and great prices. I got the French toast with bacon and an egg.

My favorite diner in Columbus! Great donuts and greasy, delicious breakfast classics. I got scrambled eggs, loaded hash browns (the BEST!) and sausage links. Add to that a long john donut and I was in heaven. The inside dining area isn't very large, but they have an outdoor patio as well. You can come in just for donuts as well. Parking lot is small, but I think many people park on the street.

DK diner os a quaint little diner tucked away. If you are looking for an excellent traditional breakfast joint, look no further. Everyone must try the blueberry cake donuts, which are simply amazing. The DK pancakes will have you coming back again and again. Two other favorite dishes are the biscuits and gravy and corned beef hash. An excellent lunch entree is the turkey reuben with seasoned fries. If you are visiting Columbus, make sure you stop by.

This place used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Bad service, the coffee tasted horrible, the bacon was rubbery and appeared microwaved. When I wasn't busy swatting flies away from my food I was getting stared at by the staff who seemed to want us to hurry up and finish our meal. On the bright side the mountain dew was great. I also enjoyed all three parking spots they had to choose from. I will never frequent this establishment again.

Very popular place, and for good reason. Food quality and portions are fantastic! DK has a chill, unpretentious vibe, and the staff is very friendly. Service can be a little slow, but that’s primarily due to the volume of customers that they have on the regular. The chocolate and blueberry donuts are epic, and a great prelude to every other item on the menu. A ‘must’ for breakfast!

Patty melt was good, chips were stale and tots were fried in old oil. Black bean burger was OK, but make sure that you are fine with spicy because it has some kick. Very extensive menu, which may led to the slow service and average food.

Awesome place! Service was great. Food was on point! A bit of a wait on Game Day..but expected and well worth it! Thank you

Overall good experience. They were out of a lot of the donuts due to it being later in the day, but the donut pancakes tasted great! The food was quick to come out and there was a pretty decent variety.

When I was asked where I wanted to go to dinner for my birthday I requested DK Diner for breakfast! This place is a cozy neighborhood diner with good service and delicious food. I had a more traditional breakfast of eggs, potatoes, sausage, and a pancake. The potatoes are perfectly seasoned and the pancake was well made and delicious. Of course they are know for their amazing doughnuts so I had to get one of those to go as well. :-) Can't wait for my next visit!

Fantastic breakfast burrito. I hear it can be quite busy but we got in and without a wait. Parking lot is small but plenty of on street parking (something good to know if you have limited mobility.)

My fiancé and I came here for breakfast; the coffee was self-serve and tasted great, we ordered the biscuits & gravy as well as the DK pancakes which all tasted great. Service was also quick and friendly. We were a little confused about the entrance because there wasn’t really a sign pointing too it, but I’m glad we came here.

Had a 30-min wait which is pretty typical for Sunday brunch. The omelettes were VERY good and well-stuffed with meat and veggies. The pancake was large, fluffy, and super tasty. And we got a cherry cake donut, their donut of the month, and it was excellent! First time we've been there, and definitely will go back soon.

We absolutely loved this place. Was visiting town and wanted to eat local, went here on a whim. The donut batter pancake is really what sold us, but the rest of the food was good as well! Good prices and friendly staff. Donuts were delicious and tasted homemade! Definitely would go again if we're in town

I’ve been coming to dk dinner for over a decade. The 3 stars is for the fact that I have a special place in my heart for this restaurant however if it was based on food alone, I’d give it a 2 stars. Food is truly terrible, the long John donut, which used to be one of the best in town, is not worth the calories. Prices have remained low but still it’s just not worth it. I’d rather get fast food somewhere for the $10.

  • 5/5 Anna B. 2 years ago on Google
Super yummy breakfast that calls for a hearty nap afterwords! The seating outside was nice and the server was very friendly. I got the Spanish Omelette with added avocado and loaded potatoes with sourdough toast. Slapped it with hot sauce and devoured the whole thing with glee. Their apple fritters are also super huge, fluffy and moist! The only slight downside (which barely mattered compared to how awesome everything was) is that the toast didn't have significant sourdough flavor. Inside are self serve beverages (solid cold brew coffee!) such as soda, various teas, decaf, etc. Might have to wait ~20min for a seat during busy times but worth it :)

We are from Dayton. Almost went to hibachi for dinner but saw this sign and figured we should go in lol. I’m so glad we did because it was amazing ! The kids pancakes were shaped like Mickey and they loved it. The bacon was cooked perfectly. The Jam was quite literally the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had, that bacon jam and elm sauce were so good. My husband said the turkey reuben was great, no complaints. The service was quick, it wasn’t overcrowded, and the self serve drinks were easy. The price for what you get was perfect , paid about $44 before tip for a family of 4. We will be back thanks 🙂

The food is high quality and tastes great. The service is warm and welcoming. The restaurant has a home feel vibe. I will definitely eat here again. Also, I love they actually have jelepenos as an add on, that’s not easy to find at most places. 😎😋

Met a friend here for breakfast, such a wonderful experience. Staff was super friendly and got us seated and served quickly on a busy Sunday morning. We got the Biscuits and Gravy and Pancakes. Some of the best biscuits I’ve ever had and the gravy was top notch as well. Pancakes were perfectly cooked with nice crispy edges and pillowy soft interior. Portions are very generous for the price as well. Love the self serve drinks. Got 2 delicious donuts to go, this place is legit. Will definitely be back!
