Our guide, Herbie, was knowledgeable, personable, and funny. We truly enjoyed our tour around London. The tour was 2.5 hours long and Herbie was great at describing what we were looking at. This list doesn’t encapsulate everything just the highlights. We started in Covent Garden, made our way to Trafalgar Square, stopped to see the changing of the guards, Buckingham palace, and ended near Westminster abbey and Big Ben. Herbie even performed a magic trick for us which was fun to see. Thanks Herbie for the fun tour!

I have been to many tours all around the world, but this one was absolutely brilliant. Adam was extraordinary, a real intellectual. answered all our questions perfectly and gave fascinating explanations. I just loved how he gave his point of view about things and the stories about his family and their long time history in the city of London. More than enjoyable to any age. Thank you very much Adam, keep it going!

Herbie gave us the best tour I’ve ever been on, truly stunning, so entertaining, so informative. My only wish was that we did it sooner, so we’d know all the places to visit before we had to leave!

    1) On the Westminster tour, Herbie was excellent and incredibly entertaining throughout the tour. Time flew by and I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting London! 2) Old London tour with Alexis was extremely informative. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to history and a good storyteller. Was a delight to hear some true fun facts and see hidden gems in London. 3) Jack the Ripper Tour with Carolina was excellent, perfect storytelling done in a thoughtful and sensitive way. Answered questions and took care of the group.

I enjoyed a great walking tour with Herbie as my tour guide. He provided a lot of great information and took our group down some unique walkways during our tour. We saw the usual items and also got some insight on little known secrets of London.

We had Herbie as our guide. He’s energetic, knowledgeable and fun! He did a magic trick to illustrate how politics work in the current context, I thought that was brilliant! And he managed to show us multiple important landmarks and the change of guards at Buckingham! Super appreciate his British humour and knowledge shared on this tour!

Today we took the walking tour with Herbie and were completely amazed! He showed us all the great spots and places, palaces, change of the guards and insights in London's early and late history. The tour was very informative, interesting and entertaining. Herbie new all the facts and places by heart and was funny, delightful and caring for his group. He's quick in his steps, but'll slow down if you need him to 😉 Thanks for the great tour!

We make a point of booking a Sandemans New Europe tour whenever we are on a city break. We find them informative, interesting and entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed this particular one with Jamie as our guide. He took us all the way from 44 A.D. to 2022 with a very concise history of the relevant iconic London landmarks. Would consider repeating this tour next time we're in London.

This tour is AMAZING. Dominic led our group in London and it was like having a historical specialist combined with a witty cousin leading you through the crowds. Content is excellent, length is just right (generous in fact) and overall I am amazed at the quality. An outstanding tour I could easily take again.

Was my first time visiting London, Herbie was great and extremely enthusiastic about the city, we ended up being a small group and Herbie made us feel like we got a private tour from a local friend. Made the tour feel very personal, he even gave us great spots to take pictures from. His energy was contagious. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing tour with Herbie! We took the tour this morning and enjoyed it so much. Herbie was so informative and entertaining, we learnt a lot about London that we had no idea of. Seeing London this way is excellent, especially if you're time poor. The tour was an excellent introduction to London and we would highly recommend it. Thank you for an amazing morning Herbie!

I did two tours with Paddy yesterday & today, & he’s absolutely amazing. He’s got all these fun facts in his head, but he makes it so easy to remember & understand the important stuff. He has this energy that’s so contagious, and he’s a really good storyteller. We got caught in heavy rain & he let another couple in the group have his umbrella - 💯✨ He also gives recommendations for what he thinks are great to do or eat in London - even has a Google map for restaurants(the effort! 🥹) I highly recommend coming to the tour with Paddy on your first few days so that you have a really good idea of what London is about before picking a few things to dive into 🙂

Absolutely loved this tour. Herbie the Wizard was legendary. Lively, hilarious, knowledgeable, and of course well versed in the art of magic and wizardry. He packed a lot into our tour, but it never felt rushed. I'd been to London many times but he still introduced me to new facts and perspectives. I'd recommend this tour to anyone, even if only to meet the miraculous riverboat dwelling wizard legend that is Herbie of Newcastle.

Bernie, our tour guide, was exceptional—highly knowledgeable, adept at keeping the crowd engaged, and downright hilarious. We couldn't have asked for more. This was the best tour I've experienced in London so far.

Herbie was my guide and he enthusiastically took us over all the main attractions and made sure we caught the change of guards in time. Really pleasant experience, I would recommend it

My friends and I took the tour with Ivo. He was very good! English is not our first language but it was easy to follow, and the structure of the tour was very well organised. Lots of detail and very well explained information, good bit of history (but not boring at all!) Would definitely recommend🙌🏼🙌🏼, I've been here three times but it's the first free tour that I take 🤗. They don't do a break in the middle of the tour like other companies do, so you should go to the bathroom before it starts 😅 Thank you very much!!!!!

Our guide Griffin prepared an amazing 2.5h tour through London. He is well informed, shows little details on houses and squares, and presents his story in a witty way.

Years ago we discovered the free walking tour in Copenhagen and now we try to do them whenever they are available in a city. Jamie our guide walked with is through London and it's history. He knows a lot and shares his information in a very nice way. We enjoyed this very much.

Our group of eight people from Australia took this tour with Alexi on Christmas Day. The tour started in Covent Garden and took in West End, Trafalgar Square, Pall Mall, St James Palace, St James Park, Westminster Abbey and finished at Big Ben near the Houses of Parliament. Alexi was very knowledgeable about the history of each location and told detailed stories behind each attraction or historical event and the figures involved from Henry VIII to Queen Elizabeth II, Guy Fawkes to King Edward VIII and Wallace Simpson, the battle of Hastings to the battle of Trafalgar. It was a most interesting and enjoyable tour and a leisurely 6+ km walk. Would highly recommend it to anyone new to London

Yet another fantastic Sandeman tour!! Our tour guide, Jamie, was super friendly and knowledgeable about the history of London and the Royal Family. I really enjoyed seeing St James Palace and learning about Henry VIII. I felt that I got to see all the tourist areas I wouldn’t of had time to see if planned separately. Really enjoyed the tour and would 100% recommend it if you’re in London.

I highly recommend SANDAMs walking tours. I have done their walking tour in London, Paris and Edinburgh. Everyplace has its own history and charm. The guides are very much knowledgeable in the areas they take you to. They have good sense of humour and are quite funny! The London walking tour is great, I enjoyed learning the history behind the palace, parliament, parks and the church. The tour is 2h 30m! It is a long tour by walk and there are times you ll feel exhausted just standing and listening to the guides. The stories they tell are long and sometimes you ll be standing at a spot for 20-25 min. I took my mom dad on the tour and they had trouble standing for so long. (So be aware if this while taking elderly people on the tour) I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and they gave me a good city tour of important buildings and monuments in London in Westminster. The tour is structured such that you can book it free online and after the 2h 30m of the tour you could give the tour guide anything you wish to (how much ever you feel the tour was worth) That’s a fair ask in my opinion.

Such an amazing tour! I’ve done it before in other cities and definitely will be doing it again. Maria, our Spanish guide, was very knowledgable and fun. Not only did she walk us through the landmarks of London but also gave us practical tips that enriched our whole trip. Highly recommend!

My first free tour with Sandeman's, was extremely good. The guide guy makes a mix of knowledge with good jokes about history to enjoy every place.

We had Dominic for the Friday evening Grim Reaper tour and lucked out and got him again on the Sunday Free Walking tour. Both times he was fun, animated and kept everyone engaged. He did an amazing job navigating the busy streets on Sunday even with all the barricades in preparation for the Queen’s funeral. We truly appreciated his flexibility and knowledge.

Spent the morning with Herbie and it was amazing. More than showing the city he showed us the hidden gems, the curiosities and the history of it. He also did a magic trick that blew our minds. Couldn't have had a better guide, definitely recommend.

Herbie gave a very informative and entertaining tour. He managed to avoid the crowds while still showing us important sites which he had lots of info on. Not 5 stars because he misgendered my friend. Also, the Spanish tour guide was significantly late if he even turned up at all.
