Wouldn’t want to bestow this monstrosity to anyone really. It was as disappointing as it was disgusting. Look, I was ever gonna write a review if the food was either otherworldly or if it was horrendous. I’m afraid it is the latter. Food: Awful food, I’m afraid. The calamari, prawn and courgette were terrible. The calamari and prawn are surely store bought stuff, not fresh. Tasted average at best. Then the baked potato? I could make it myself at home and I wouldn’t burn it… also there was no seasoning on either of the dishes. The cuttlefish with peas and mint. The cuttlefish wasn’t fresh again… and it was over cooked. There was no elasticity in the cuttlefish, a sign that it was overcooked. For the pasta, it was a marked improvement. The scorpion fish pasta was actually quite nice. Good flavour. The only bone I would pick is I think the pasta might be a touch too thick but I don’t think that’s a major issue. The ricotta tortellini was okay, a little blend but all in all, not too bad. The Bolognese with squid… I am not a fan. I was hesitant to order it in the first place as I felt it was a bit weird to mix squid with bolognese sauce. I’d love to try the steak but the only availability was a 800 gram cut which was too much just for the two of us. I wanted to try more dishes. So we went for the bolognese. It doesn’t taste bad… just doesn’t feel it was the perfect match with squid. Service: okay that was the highlight. The waitress who served us was friendly. I cannot fault them - even after I complained about the food. It was really commendable.

Why this place is an institution is easy to understand after dining here. Imagine....you are celebrating an anniversary and planned out a day of 4 different Italian joints around the city for the day and this is spot number 3. So you walk in and inform them of your reservation and they reply that you've booked the wrong day. fml. haha. But the host immediately and kindly made some adjustments to the seating chart and squeezed us in the dining room. Service was incredible and charming. We explained how much we were eating the whole day and that we would just grab a few plates and drinks and our server completely understood and gave us no pressure to try upsell or push us to order more. The cocktails were great, and I definitely recommend the artichoke fizz. Good way to start the meal. They also brought us 2 glasses of bubbly for our anniversary which was a nice surprise. Food was a bit hit and miss. The squid bolgonese was a bit dry and under seasoned. The pansotti on the other hand was outstanding and comparable to the pansotti we were eating in Liguria a few months back. The courgette and chili was really well executed as well. Nice and snappy with a slight hint of chili and garlic. The rhum baba was not up to scrap. The baba was dry and not fully saturated in rhum and simple syrup. The focaccia/olives and oil they drop on the table was great. Chewy and salty. Atmosphere is really comfy and homey. The layout and flow really makes everything around you fade away. A great place for celebrating or catching up with friends. Overall, everything was outstanding other than the 2 dishes. Considering how everything else was so smooth and seamless it is easy to give the kitchen the benefit of the doubt that maybe they have some post-covid issues. Definitely a place worth coming to!

Established in London for over a decade, Bocca di Lupo maintains a distinctive and enduring presence. The ambiance, characterized by vibrant orange walls and tasteful food paintings, reflects a timeless sophistication. Our culinary experience featured impeccably executed dishes, notably the pasta with anchovy bits, blood orange salad, and crispy fried ravioli. The coffee with egg yolk and hazelnut presented a refined palate. Booking is advised, particularly on weekends, given the establishment's enduring popularity. The restaurant also offers pre theatre menu for the theatre fans!

One of the best Italian restaurant in London so far. We did celebrate a hen party last Sunday at Bocca di Lupo. The ambiance was welcoming, the staff attentive and well trained and the food was so so good. Like a proper Italian restaurant! Thanks to Giovanni, he made all the experience even better!

Always busy, so glad we booked. Excellent staff and service and a varied menu which can either be ordered as starter, main, etc., or like tapas in small portions for tasting or sharing. Loved it

Food is divine! Bread, pasta, fish, dessert, were all absolutely delicious. Wine was good and service super friendly. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

The dishes we ordered were generally really good, and our waiter were attentive and welcoming. But sitting at the bar seatings, the male bartender’s method of opening a wine bottle is just laughable. He opened every bottle without cutting the foil first, letting the wine pour over the foil that could possibly change the taste of the bottle. Another issue is that the prosciutto cutter is placed directly above a bloody bin. The prosciutto is cut and handled by bare not-washed hands, no food safety guidelines are followed.

The food and drinks here were amazing! I really enjoyed my espresso martini and pasta. The salad, and pumpkin dish was also a delight. We sat right on the counter overlooking the cooks. It was a great place to sit, because you can see all the food that is being made and coming out. I even ordered a dish that I saw, because it inspired me that I wanted to try it.

Fantastic restaurant! Loved all of it. Amazing food, service and wine. I loved this little amuse bouche from the chef , polenta with pepper on it, very fresh and tasty. We had burrata, calamari and zucchine to start , spaghetti with crab and risotto. To finish it all off a beautiful cannolo. Highly recommend! Grazie!

Very disappointed food. If you can’t make a good pasta better not to do an Italian restaurant. My Italian boyfriend said his ravioli was bad. So it’s not coincidence, they just didn’t know how to make good food. Only the bread and antipasti were good. And it was very pricy. So I feel bad paying this price for the food we got. Final judgment, totally recommend.

Buzzing atmosphere, awesome Italian authentic food, possibly one of my favourite feeding spots in not just London but across the UK. I am a restaurant snob so I feel my opinion counts for something! I don't know where they source their olive oil (ie. what region of Italy) but it's ridiculously good. We had Tagliata for main (dry-aged rare breed beef sirloin) and it was some of the best cut, presented and cooked meat I have tasted in London. It came presented on a white plate with the bone in the middle and beautifully even cut slices in a flower like arrangement around the bone. I think they must have cooked it seared with a glaze of something like balsamic glaze as there was a seared sweet taste on the outside with the inner part of the meat medium rare... just the way I like it! I have attached some photos, some of the starters we took pictures of were off original plating so some of the presentation is lost but even from these pictures hopefully you can see the quality of the food. It's so nice to go to a restaurant that has been running for that many years that still takes such care and attention to every detail. Sadly there are very few restaurants left in London like this. It was for want a of a better word a faultless experience.

Well that was truly spectacular! Not only every dish but every mouthful of every dish was included. I wish I had all the money in the world. This would easily be my happy place.

Ridiculously good- astonishing all ends up. Service, ambience, the fabulous food. The pictures don’t do it any justice but I’ll give it a go :) (And special thanks go to Rosie, thank you again: I think I’m a little in love with you already, thank goodness this isn’t going on a public site lol) I’ve eaten in a lot of top restaurants across the world and these people are right up there X

Great selection of food. We had an arrangement of small plates which allowed us to try different dishes. Recommend sharing 2 small plates per person. Highlight was the roasted Pumpkin - delicious! The Tajarin was a little too buttery for our liking. Otherwise the other pastas we ordered were great. A great mid-week date night option with quick and attentive service.

Beautiful food in a stunning space. Servers make you feel like family and are knowledgeable and assure you to have a lovely evening. Food is fresh, interesting balance of flavors, senses and most importantly seasonal with much of the taste coming from various Italian provinces. We came back a second time it was so good!!

I've been coming here for years. Glad to see that the food is as good today as when I first ate here. Service is friendly and quick. You can have larger or smaller portions for almost anything on the menu. The gelato from across the street is delicious.

This is one fine Italian restaurant. The food here is delicious. The mixed Antipasto had a mixture of cured meats and cheeses as well as anchovies. A nice variety different textures and flavours. Next came the Spaghetti Lobster that came with mussel clams and ginger. The Lemon Sgroppino is lemon sorbet with vodka and prosecco. After that a whole platter with a roast pig arrived with onions and potatoes. For dessert we had gelato cupcakes. Overall a fantastic filling lunch. I only knocked off one star because the music was quite loud I had to ask the waiters to turn it down. The air conditioner was way too high that it made me feel cold. Be sure to bring a coat just in case.

To be honest, I was quite underwhelmed, had a set menu and it wasn’t worth the money. Reading through the review I def think we would have been better off having food from the normal menu. want to go back to see as I have only heard good things, unfortunately today just wasn’t really the best meal I have had

Absolutely superb throughout. Food was outstanding, wine selection huge (and the quality of the Gavi was out of this world), and the service was second to none. Cannot wait to return. Recommend the Rigatoni, the olive based starter, and the Espresso Martini, which was one of the best I’ve ever had.

We were very lucky to get a spot at the kitchen on the last day of the year. Delicious food, great atmosphere. Best pasta I had in 2023🎉

Arguably the best pasta in London. Being a pasta fanatic, I’m surprised every time I come here to try something new. The service is top notch and prices are moderate for London standards. You definitely get great value for money. Highly recommend.

Have the stuffed olives. Literally to die for! One mark down on atmosphere as it was quite packed together so the waiters were knocking into you whilst talking to the tables next door. Also it was very warm! Other than that it's a 10 out of 10 dinner.

This was the first time I had been here and really I didn’t know it existed. It is neatly tucked away at the back of Soho and perfect to get away from the buzz of Shaftesbury Avenue. The venue is perfectly lit and decorated with tall floral arrangements but the highlight was the amazing bancone (bar) where you can view all your dishes being prepared. The servers were so friendly and knowledgable with the dishes and their recommendations were great. I love that nearly all the plates can be ordered as a small or a large. We opted for smalls so we can get a variety. We had ordered the cime orecchiette pasta and the pumpkin in sage butter as well as the caponata and pacheri. The high list was the pumpkin. It was slowly cooked and the butter caramelised the pumpkin to perfection and with the full bodied flavour of the pecorino I was dancing on my seat. The drinks were excellently recommended by the barman who clearly knew his tipples. I learnt a lot from the in-depth conversation. However the best part of the whole mean was the SAFFRON CASSATA. This is my ultimate favourite dessert of Italy. I was so excited to have it and even the chef behind the counter gave me a large slice. I wolfed the whole piece down. I was so impressed with the ricotta, canditi and the apoplexy threads of saffron in the dolce. I will definitely be visiting this amazing MOUTH OF THE WOLF ( Bocco Di Lupo) again and I have a feeling I will be ordering take always of the cassata very frequently.

Excellent food. Great service. Best gelato in London Extensive wine list (Italian only) Lovely bustling atmosphere, only slight drawback, tables packed in very close together in the main dining room

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. The ambiance is perfect. The food is delicious and the service is warm and friendly. Could not love this place more. Always top of my list for London trips. Special shout-out to host Lucy who remembered us speaking on the phone when I arrived and helped us get seated at the bar. And also our server India for the great recommendations.
