~ 21 Good ol' Chrisp Street Market, were it once was the place to shop for locals, time has taken its toll and the 'redevelopment' was long overdue... At the current moment, it has a large range of shops/services based within, from Eastenders Pie & Mash, the Post Office, JP's Cafe to Wings Chinese Café, enough to cater to most needs I reckon. Will these be here after the planned finish of 2027? Who knows... Getting here via public transport, All Saints (Docklands Light Railway) or buses, (N)15, 115, D6, N551 from Chrisp Street Market (Stop B) or the 109 from Chrisp Street Market (Stop J).

Support your local farmers and the local community by buying your fresh produce from this market. They taste way superior to the frail supermarket counterparts, and it’s much cheaper too. To give you an idea - 2 large aubergines, 2 medium bags of cherry tomatoes, 2 bunches of coriander, 3 large sweet red peppers, and 2 large bunches of organically grown spinach only came to £7.50!

My local market. I’ve been going here since a child my grandparents aunts uncles cousins parents everyone has come here and we’ve seen the market from the start till now. It’s sad that it’s changing and becoming so modern as there are good memories here. I used to come here back when Woolworths and Somerfields with my grandfather. New shops have taken over but it’s still very good. The market is being renovated now and is gonna turn into a high st market. There are variety of shops, whatever you need I’m sure can be found here, bakery shops to tea shops snacks fresh fruit and veg household essentials chips shop idea store pharmacy etc.. lots of fruit and vegetable stalls selling good quality products for cheap most bagged items are £1/2. Free cash machines available, there are 3. Very busy market and not like other markets sometimes you can find a good bargain here as stalls come now and then with good high st shop clothing but for cheaper than rrp.

Title: A Vibrant and Diverse Experience - Crisp Street Market Shines in East London! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5 Stars) Crisp Street Market in East London is an absolute delight for anyone seeking a unique and authentic market experience. I had the pleasure of exploring this vibrant marketplace, and it truly exceeded my expectations on every level. First and foremost, the diversity of products and cultural influences present at Crisp Street Market is astounding. From fresh produce to clothing, jewelry, and exotic spices, you can find a wide array of items from all over the world. This multicultural blend creates a rich and exciting shopping experience, unlike any other. The fresh food offerings at Crisp Street Market are a highlight. The fruits and vegetables are of excellent quality, and I was delighted to find a variety of produce that is often hard to come by in regular supermarkets. Additionally, the market boasts a selection of speciality meats, seafood, and international ingredients, making it a haven for food enthusiasts and home cooks. The friendly and passionate vendors add to the charm of the market. They are always willing to share their knowledge, offer cooking tips, and recommend their finest products. Their warm and welcoming demeanour creates a sense of community within the market. I was also impressed by the affordability of the items. Crisp Street Market provides a cost-effective alternative to big chain stores, making it an excellent place to shop for those on a budget. The ability to haggle and negotiate prices adds a fun element to the shopping experience. Moreover, the market's location in East London contributes to its authenticity. Surrounded by a diverse neighborhoods, Crisp Street Market reflects the true spirit of the area, celebrating the cultural tapestry that makes East London so unique. While exploring the market, I discovered several small eateries and food stalls offering mouthwatering international cuisine. Whether you're craving Indian curries, Middle Eastern falafels, or Caribbean jerk chicken, you're sure to find a taste sensation to satisfy your cravings. The only downside I noticed is that the market can get quite busy, especially during peak hours. However, the vibrant atmosphere and variety of products more than make up for the crowds. In conclusion, Crisp Street Market in East London is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic and diverse shopping experience. The wide range of products, friendly vendors, and multicultural charms create an enchanting ambience that sets this market apart. Whether you're a local looking for fresh ingredients or a visitor seeking a taste of East London's culture, Crisp Street Market is the place to be! *Please note that my review is based on my personal experience and may vary for others.*

A few stalls with decent fruit, vegetables and herbs. Good prices. Some of the stalls selling homewares are cheap, but the goods are not super quality (not surprising).

Plenty of shops and a market are a bit run down now but there is a project to revitalise the place under way or coming already some buildings have been demolished around let see how that will turn out...

The sales people in the market cab be very disrespectful, if you not the ethnicity, i would say the only place in the market that is VERY nice to go eat and has kept there prices, is Wings Chinese Café food is amazing service is quick, and they even have seating area outside so you can only imagine on a summers day 😎😁😎💯👍🏾 but apart from that the market it ok.

lots of shop, food shop, grocery shop, even a pet shop, although the pet shop staff seemed rude and may be racist, i just got the vibe that they didn't like a asian guy going to their shop. The fruit and veg stall, so many choices. It's awesome. the fresh fish shop is another Gem. must go and check for yourself. you won't be disappointed.

Great eating places. The few decent businesses in the market will end up leaving if the regeneration doesn't get going.

It looks very run down and not a wide variety of stalls. I went there some years ago but would not go again after my recent visit....sadly.

Busy but weather was not ideal for people to really spend much time looking at the things on offer. Would have preferred to visit under better circumstances.

Living near here with my parents (before moving out) I like coming here for the atmosphere and supporting the locals. But I mainly like coming to eat at the local Pie and Mash since I can't find liquor sauce anywhere else but here! Nothing much has changed for 20+ years but the Co-op and car park is gone now since they're making more shopping areas and mordenising the place 👍

A glimpse of the old East End. I am very lucky to have this market on my doorstep. Having fresh fruit and veg available from an open air market is a privilege. The quality of fruit and veg beats any supermarket offering. Thankfully the redevelopment of the area is working to preserve the historic aspects of the market and ensure its future as a thriving part of the local community.

Great small market with cheaper alternatives. Shops for Indian and Bangladeshi items as well. Lots of food options to try.

Simple neat market, prices are reasonable. The meat bazar is what I normally visit here for their fresh poultry.

Chrisp st market, where the vast majority of people walking around have an IQ significantly below the mid point. Sit in one of the cafes and listen to their nonsensical tittle tattle. Pop into one of two pubs to see what it sounds like after a few pints. Return home, glad it isn't you.

A fare selection of shops, places to eat and pubs. Chrisp Street is going through a transition and is being revamped. This has taken away some of it's atmosphere, that said, it's a friendly, traditional east end market, very cosmopolitan and welcoming. It's worth a couple of hours of anyones time. So check it out!!

Used to love this place growing up. Now the community feeling has disappeared. Kids anti social behaviour. Some awesome shops I loved are all gone. Best sellers and woolworths. Even co op is now gone.
