Fantastic bar with nothing but whiskey in mind. Amazing whiskey selection to work yourself through. Knowledgeable staff happy to discuss and recommend profiles, noses, finishes, casks... So if you are into your single malts or just want to learn, it is a very welcoming space. Plus that famouse hidden bookcase....

Malika (sp?) was SO amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. We talked about my preferences and she guided me to a number to sniff before ordering. She let me keep the bottles as I sipped three different ones, which was very helpful. Needed up buying a bottle of my fav. I recommend you try the ships own brand -great value. Wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend or it’s eye candy appeal, knowledgeable staff and great location and prices.

Son did me proud with this one, what a gem of a find. Waitresses are incredibly knowledgeable and will enquire as to preferred style of whiskey AND ask for your budget so as to ensure you don't break the bank. The whisky recommended to me was an absolute beaut of dram, couldn't be more pleased to have stumbled upon it and will be taking a bottle home with me. Great experience, great atmosphere, top spot.

An absolute delight for whisky enthusiasts. Shelf is stocked full of classic brands and lesser known small batches. Staff are very knowledgeable. At the back of the bar you will find a bookshelf; push it, and it leads you to the entrance of The Vault, a speakeasy bar. Highly recommend!!

Gem of a whiky bar in Soho. Have a very unique collection of different kinds of single malt and blended. Check out their tasting schedule and plan accordingly. Real experts in there. Also try to make a reservation at The vault, which is downstairs. It has a unique spikizi experience.

Really cute little bar with a secret. Great tasting whiskies and lovely cocktails. Definitely worth a visit and so close to the centre and with views to the park. Probably book ahead as it got quite busy, but we arrived as it was opening and didn't need to book ahead.

This is a great place if you enjoy Whiskey/whisky. I used my visit to educate myself furthet around what Whiskey/whiskies were out there. The ambience was excellent. The staff were really helpful, friendly and enthusiastic and eager to pass on their expertise. I stayed in the upstairs bar but got a look at the bar downstairs, which looked like a prohibition period setting which oozed atmosphere. It's left a positive impression on me and I'll be back next time I'm in town!

What a gem of a place. The people working there is as good as the whisky they sell, and probably you can't get a better selection anywhere else. Here are three recommendations for those of you that can't quite afford the £200 dram of Port Ellen. But if you can...

A classic beer pub style bar but focusing on Whiskey. Sat by the bar and was very cosy with fantastic engagement with the bartenders. Definitely one of the go to places for whiskey if at the SOHO area

It is a great place to experience all types of whisky. The gentleman was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He explained every single drink with a brief history from beginning to end. The basement bar was closed but we heard that it is worth a visit.

What a great little find. I have recently discovered a taste for whisky. So I took a couple of mates here at the weekend. Where to begin. It's a little small, but we were lucky to find 3 seats at the bar. The variety of whisky is amazing and the staff (Oliver) fantastic. He took us through a whisky discovery, starting at the £20 dram down to £11. The bill for us was not as much as I expected it would be at a £100 (7 whiskies 3 beers). I tried to buy 3 different bottles of whisky to take home but alas they were not available in the shop, but should be online. The secret bookcase to the toilet is a winner, it also leads to the vault which is an underground drinking experience, sadly we did not book for that and it did not open until 6pm. All in all a great trip and I will go back. Cant rate the food, as I do not believe they had any. Well worth a visit.

Our visit to Milroy of Soho was pure serendipitous. Heading for Covent Garden for lunch, the captivating window display drew us in, and what followed was a whisky lover’s dream. Warmly welcomed by Joel, an affable expert in the realm of whisky, we were immediately struck by his depth of knowledge and genuine hospitality. Joel's passion for whisky was infectious, evident in the diverse topics our conversation spanned. From the historical underpinnings of whisky to the intriguing restrictions on what constitutes "whisky" across different nations, and even a captivating glimpse into the world of Nordic and Asian whisky makers, Joel's insights were as enlightening as they were engaging. We also got a peek at their impressive Blanton's Bourbon collection. After a few samplings based on Joel's recommendations, my husband got himself two rare finds that are seldom encountered in our home country. If you're a whisky enthusiast, Milroy of Soho is a destination not to be missed. Mark it as a favorite in your Google map, you won't be disappointed.

It is a unique a place with a nice selection of whisky. Just be mindful it isn’t low price and they do add service charge to the bill which we found unusual for pouring whisky.

Katie and Mattia were amazing, such great and knowledgeable staff! We had a Women's Whisky Tasting and it was amazing. Great decor, great Whisky, great team. Love it!

Very disappointed. Great selection of whisky but disinterested and arrogant staff. They had a supercilious attitude and seemed to have no interest in sharing knowledge or educating people on their whisky.

Amazing whisky bar on top. Just note it's only whisky, don't come asking for mixers. They must have at least 1000 bottles there. Underneath is the cocktail bar. The secret entrance (push the bookshelf) plus the prohibition feel and live jazz band gave this place a really cool atmosphere. Really great date spot, especially given how confusing the entrance to downstairs looks at the start. I sat at the bar and tried a couple of their amazing cocktails; they have a signature menu but they make whatever you want and it do it well. I went on a Monday and it was about 75% capacity downstairs. I'd recommend trying to get a booking on any popular night.

What a special find. Whisky selection right down to the attentive care the staff go to in order to help you find what you like. I am pregnant therefore could not drink, but in the cocktail bar, they were so kind and came out with lovely mocktail options for me whilst my partner tried the real stuff. I'll be back for the booze when I can, trust me. Especially with the little element if mystery the place has.

Lovely little find, we were down I'm the vault. Great selection of specialist cocktails, don't taste like you are drinking alcohol but certainly pack a punch. Service was good and you are supplied with plenty of water. We wanted to stay for longer but just couldn't because it was so hot, we were melting. If you have a reservation be sure to push to the front of the queue as they also operate a queue system for unreserved people but there is limited space for them to have two queues or explain this.

Absolutely love going to Milroy's. You can try so many new kinds of whisky (or whiskey) especially those on limited editions. The service is always amazing. They really are passionate about their job and make a point to give you that personalised service. If only the place was a little bit bigger. It can be quite packed in the evening and you will be lucky to find a seat, especially if you are not a couple. But overall, I would happily recommend and go back!

Great place : staff are incredibly knowledgeable and there's a really good atmosphere. They're also very upfront about the price of things and don't try and force expensive drinks on you. Vault bar behind the bookcase is great too.

Whiskey bar with hidden speakeasy downstairs. Fantastic selection of whiskeys. Very reasonably priced considering the quality and selection on offer, especially for Soho. Staff extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Will be back to try the downstairs speakeasy style bar as unfortunately it was full when we stumbled upon this place.

Very cool hidden bar behind the bookshelf, I took my boyfriend as a surprise and he loved the whole concept. Drinks were very nice as was our the waitress. Perfect spot for a date or to celebrate a special occasion, we will definitely be back soon!

Just a whisky lovers paradise!!! The wall of whisky that greets you as you walk in is a sight to behold. The 2 barmen were very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic, which inspires passion and really adds to the experience. I had 4 drinks while I was there, but could easily spend hours and hours talking to fellow whisky lovers and sipping great whisky. If you consider yourself a whisky person, this must be on your list!

Wonderful whisky specialty shop with big collection of different whiskies which were well known & not well known independent bottlers’ brands. Professional sales with good advice & allowed sample tasting of some of whiskies before any decisions to be taken. Definitely will come again!

What a wonderful exprience: great waiters, superb selection of whisky, to drink there or buy, wonderful atmosphere and a hidden passage to go to the restroom or the vault. One little minus are the prices for the drams which are on the very high end but it's the price to pay to enjoy the experience! Will go again.

Super busy and lively! It's really like a museum of all the whiskey you can ever think of it hope to try. The decor is whiskey in glass cabinets, and you can buy entire bottles. Just ask for recommendations and give your price points.
