a definite five stars. Vapiano deserves this rating as they ticked all my check list: good location, in my case we visited the London bank side restaurant branch, 90 B Southwark Street SE1 0FD London great interior decoration. great choice of food we have tried every type of their collection and they all taste great. kids and families will also enjoy the dedicated sitting layout. i would recommend trying this Italian cuisine if you haven't yet done so.

Awful experience! There were so many staff members just walking around having a chat whilst we were made to order via our phones one worked perfectly fine but the other didn't we ended up eating separately. Moving on to the food. As you can see in the images the portion size was ridiculous. The pasta was swimming in runny sauce which tastes more like unseasoned cream no salt no chilli no herbs. Just plain cream. Food arrived cold. Just don't go here if you want to enjoy your food. It would definitely disappoint.

I used to enjoy the fact that you were in contact with the cook and asked what you want and how you liked. Now everything has changed not for the best :( you go inside the restaurant and order through your mobile like you are ordering a delivery menu :( you have little or none options to choose something different or additional and the waitress that we had yesterday knew nothing about the menu, she didn't even know how we could order a piece of bread that was not listed :( on top on that the pumpkin soup that I ordered lacked flavour and consistency. I doubt that I will go back to this food chain restaurant in the future :(

The worst and most tasteless pasta I’ve had in London. We ordered the prawn pasta and the beef bolognese. Both turned up and the pasta was over cooked. The sauce tasted of nothing. We also ordered the cheesy garlic bread which tasted of nothing as well. The other down side was we waited for ages for our drinks. We sat next to the bar and can see it has been sitting there along side other orders for ages. We decided to get up and fetch it ourselves. In all fairness it feels very understaffed as the waiters were walking back and forth none stop. Lack of staff is somewhat forgivable as but terrible food is not. Don’t bother giving it a chance. There’s much better pasta places in london

Very disappointed with our visit today. (29.5.22) First visit in 5 years for us, we religiously liked Vapiano. Discovered it in Berlin 8 years ago and visited Budapest too. Vapiano inspired us to improve Bolognese cooking at home. Sad to say we now cook it better. Too much sauce, hardly any mince, soggy. Onions a bit too chunky. We tried 2 types of pasta and pizza, dough was not good enough. We won't be coming back to this site on our next London visit

My wife’s chicken Caesar salad came with chicken that was RAW in the middle. Staff were apologetic and refunded her dish but we were charged for the rest of the meal which surprised me given the seriousness of serving undercooked chicken. The manager did not seem to appreciate how serious and risky this was or that it’s a violation of very basic food safety standards. I feel bad for the staff who seemed far too busy but I would avoid until they get their food safety right.

Tasty fresh pasta cooked in an open planned kitchen. Great concept with adding own flavours and extras as well as choosing what pasta you want. Everything is orderd via their online app and paid online. Love it!

Flavours are good and there are quite a lot of vegan options. Maybe we went at a busy time but our food arrived lukewarm. They had also run out of vegan cheese which was a shame! We also asked for extra garlic and chilli which they forgot on one of our dishes... But other than that, the waiters are nice and the food is decent.

I have to say it first, thanks for being so respectful and caring for your customers Mr. manager. The food and environment was as good as Amsterdam and Germany but the way the restaurant manager treated us when we had problem with paying with their new method was just so respectful and i felt i have to keep it in my mind to write it down here. Well done Va piano for the tasty food, fair price and clean restaurant.

Vapiano! Food was great! I had the Verdure Pizza which was nice. I had olives and chilli added which was nice. The downside that made it a three star is that the whole restaurant was piled high with dirty plates, glasses and trays. It was not welcoming at all. You couldn't sit anywhere as a result of the mess and there was no staff on the floor to help clear a table. I asked someone to help me clean away a table so I could sit and the waitress' response was I'm sorry "there is nothing I can do" errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm

Unfortunately, Vapiano is really no longer recommended. In the early 2000s it was a different spirit and people made an effort. You now have to order at your seat, service to the table, waitresses completely rushed. Is this the right concept to retain customers? The table was dirty (although cleaned). Then there will be no more gluten-free pasta. It's a shame, that's why we came specially. The salad was carelessly cut (photos), the spaghetti stuck like a fat mess. Overall: never again. Even the herbs on the tables are dying of thirst. So far, nostalgia has brought me here. Not anymore. It's a shame actually.

Stefano was excellent. He was very polite and courteous, took our order promptly, and made us feel at home. Great location, chilled out atmosphere, very clean and amazing food. Would highly recommend! Thank you Stefano and team.

Nice interior, food arrived quite quickly although online ordering from your table was a bit of a palaver. Choice of pasta shapes with any dish is a fun touch. The Chicken Alfredo was quite tasty and the servings are a good size. My only complaint was that my food wasn't very hot when it arrived.

Quite average food for the price. Pasta a bit chewy not the taste of fresh Al dente pasta. Sauce and salmon was fine. Bruschetta a bit plain, 6$ for 2 pieces of bread with some tomatoes is a bit much. Also the order on the app is completely not user friendly. Much better Italian authentic option for the same price in the area.

It has changed a lot, they give you a Menu and it is different to the internet, no more contact with the chef, not the best place now, not very Italian, just the name. My husband got food but I wait, and wait, and wait... Photo describes how disgusting seems, prawns are raw, and pasta is not done properly. Bye bye, never more...
