Beautiful place and very nice and helping host. Very safe for girls, I stayed in 6 ,7 bed dorm and all other girls are very helping and kind. I enjoyed my visit and plan to stay there regularly. Neat and clean bedding, dinning area is well equipped with coffee and tea facility.

A must for every Girl Guide and Scout. Be sure to attend a pinning ceremony. My room was very clean and comfortable. We met Girl Guides staying there with their leader and members of the Friends of Pax Lodge committee. The tube station is nearby to go into London for sight seeing.

Guiding headquarters is also a hostel when room is available. A very clean and quiet stay. Many showers and toilets on each floor. Very secure too. Common room for use of microwave fridge and coffee making available. Can't beat the environment of Hamstead Heath. Don't booking you're a party animal.

Toller Aufenthalt im 3-Bettzimmer für 5 Nächte. Sauber, komfortables Einzelbett, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Ideale Anbindung an ÖPNV (Bus + Tube). Einfaches Hotel, gut gelegen in einer der besseren Wohngegenden Londons. Komme definitiv wieder zurück. Vielen Dank an das Pax-Team für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Girl Guide/Scout World Center. Great staff and food. Walking distance from even better food just down the street. Pax Lodge is also close to the underground. Great home base for exploring London. Pax Lodge was a great place to meet Girl Scout/Guides from around the world.

I am honestly quite shocked at how unpleasant my stay at this hostel was. I came here on a trip with school, so my expectations weren’t high, but this place still managed to disappoint me and my fellow classmates. To start off, the rooms were filthy. Stains and hairs in the blankets, uncomfortable beds, MOLD in my kettle, the water coming from the shower was constantly switching from hot to cold, the staff was walking barefoot in the eating area, even though there was a sign on the door clearly stating that this was not allowed. Worst two days ever.

delibrately placing me in the room with knowing "knocking noise" from the pluming system. Placing me in a room completely different than what I booked. Finally got the issue resolved at 2 am because a good-hearted volunteer still work there this late. Poor ethics

Liked that we had our own room with two twin beds but the room smelled rather bad. We had to leave the windows open all night...I'm assuming it's the carpet. It smelled like wet old carpet if that makes sense.

Great facilities for meetings. Really helpful staff. Parking available (needs arranging) - a rarity in this part of London (Hampstead). Fantastic staff; attentive, knowledgeable and always helpful. Will certainly use the place again.

My daughter attends her weekly Girl Guides meetings here and she loves it. Staff at Pax Lodge are warm, friendly and pleasant to talk to. The facility itself has lots of rooms great for meetings, training etc. The waiting areas are tidy and have lots of brochures for activities and shows in London. All in all, a nice place for all branches of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts to come together.

Wonderful find in London. Cheap, safe place to stay. It's not centrally located but if you're going to Camden Town or Roundhouse it's a decent location. It was clean and cosy.

Went with guiding group. Lovely rooms. Comfortable beds. Breakfast good. Cereals, toast as much as you like with loads of spreads. Fruit too

Located in a nice area but bit far from the city though. The bunk beds need to be set up higher. If you get the buttom bunk you just cant sit. You need to bend you back which is not comfortable at all.

Stayed for one night to attend a wedding nearby. In the morning, I had a Girl Guide's leader bang on my door every 20-30 minutes telling my to wake up and get out (presumably she assumed I was a girl guide and not a guest?) Seemed weird that they didn't segregate paying guests from girl guides. It's primarily a Girl Guide's Hub, and secondarily a hotel for guests. The room was simple, and the shower simply terrible. Breakfast wasn't great.

Use Pax lodge for corporate meetings and training often. It's fantastic. Close to Belsize park station. Staff are helpful and can provide all the necessities - AV sound flip charts etc.. rooms well equipped with comfortable chairs and tables. Space for break out areas too. Can provide teas coffee and lunches on request. Best of all their prices are super competitive. Highly recommend.

I only stayed here for 1 night but it was definitely a great stay - staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious (shower cubicle was a bit small though), comfortable, and clean. As a former Girl Guide, I was also pleasantly surprised to witness a flag-raising ceremony in the morning! I would definitely recommend this place for female travellers looking to escape the chaos of the city without going out of zone 2. Belsize Park station is just a short walk away, and so is the beautiful Hampstead Heath/ Parliament Hill!

Really lovely place to stay with friendly and helpful staff, beautiful grounds, and spotlessly clean facilities. Dining room is always open with a fridge to store your food and a microwave to heat it, as well as cutlery and plates. There is a tea and coffee station always available too. Breakfast is provided in the dining room every morning from 7:30 to 9:00 should you wish to purchase it for less than £4. There is also a TV room, games room, and computer with printing services available. Pax Lodge is brimming with history about the building and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. There are QR codes on the walls for a self-guided tour, maps where visitors can mark their home towns, and places where girls can trade badges or pen-pal letters from around the world. The entire building has a strong educational focus with suggested activities and information about sister lodges in Africa, Switzerland, Asia and Mexico. There are also flag raising and badge pinning ceremonies on offer. A very family-friendly, safe, and quiet place in a beautiful location of London. Shops are a few blocks away as is Hampstead Heath. You will feel welcomed and at-home here. Staff are a diverse group of amazing people from around the world, and they are always willing to help and answer questions. This is a hostel environment so you are expected to do some things yourself like cleaning up if you have your own meal in the dining room. You also need to keep your room card on your person at all times when you move about the building. A code is needed to enter the building from outside at night. Staff are available out of hours but it means waking someone up so you should take extra care to remember your card! Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am. Rooms are clean and include a sink. Toilets and showers are communal - but they are kept so clean you won't mind! Hair styling tools are available and you can store luggage downstairs during your stay. There is also a little shop that sells Girl Guides memorabilia and travel items. The front and back gardens are gorgeous and great places to picnic when the weather is nice. The other wing of the building houses the Olave Centre, a venue for conferences and other types of business meetings. You will fall in love with this place and meet some lovely people too. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Great stay at Pax Lodge this weekend. The rooms were too warm, but the staff were really friendly, the shared bathrooms were always available and clean. The shared lounge was lovely and the dining room was a great place. They didn't do breakfast so we popped out to m&s locally to pick up some breakfast items and kept them in the shared fridge - worked really well for us. Belsize Park tube is 8 minutes walk and the northern line gets you straight into the centre of London. Free parking on site was great and plenty of space when I arrived Friday evening.

Basic clean and tidy accommodation, about ten minutes walk from belsize park tube station.

Lovely staff, comfortable rooms, very affordable and free parking. Was noisy quite early in the morning - cleaners hoovering outside the room, but the toilets and showers were well kept and clean so nothing really to complain about. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing cheap accommodation so close to camden!

Cannot beat the value for this price in London! Hot showers and a towel. Fridge, microwave and toaster along with basic condiments. Camden is a nice place to be! Need key card to access your room and even floor. Common space with books, board games and a guitar!

The Riverside Sanctuary Lodge was a haven of calm by the river's edge. The soothing sound of flowing water and the surrounding nature provided a sense of peace. Our lodge room was cozy, and we could watch the river from our window. The lodge staff were gracious and provided great recommendations for riverside activities. This is a place where the river tells its stories.
