It is very versatile park. Has lots of attractions and play ground. Here the trees are huggable and loveable.

Loved discovering this park during a hike on the Green Chain route. It includes a green House conservatory (closed off for refurbishment/restoration), cricket pitch, American football field, football pitches, basketball court, outdoor chess board, table tennis, cafe, outdoor gym and kids’ playground. There were also listings for funfairs & other fun activities that the whole family could get involved with. So lots to choose from on a day out. The dog park was hard to identify so they roam free without leads, which is terrifying for someone like me.

A beautiful and cute little park. It has a lovely path suitable for runners, walkers, and even for disabilty scooters. The distance around the path is roughly 2.5 km. Plenty of space for dog walkers. There is a free car park on the main road. There is a cafe in the middle of the park with toilets as well. There is a basketball court, playground for childrens.

Great place to run or walk your dog. There is a cafe in the middle. I believe there is a Parkrun here every Saturday at 9am. But you need to register.

Lovely spacious park with well cut grass and plenty of doggie bins to put your bags in πŸ‘Œ..the cafΓ© had a lovely latte which I thought was as good as Costa's, don't know how much it was as I didn't buy it πŸ‘‹πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜

Good park. Really liked the wild flower area they had. The cafe is very handy (although it seems to be dominated by the dog walking mafia). The play park is good with some simple but nice additions of tree trunk stepping stones and balance beams. The pathways are much improved for walkers, runners, and cyclists. Also, the basketball court and gym area keep people busy.

Sparkle in the park was a great experience. Many things for the little ones the only annoying thing was only one point to sell tokens therefore we ended up in the queu for 30 mins.

We came to visit the Christmas lights. Free entry and it’s really well put on. They even held an SEN for a few hours early where the fun fair was silent (no music) such a well thought out inclusive thing to arrange!!

A fantastic open area. Take a picnic sit on the grass and enjoy. Walk around it. Cycle a great place to go if feeling a bit low. Listen to the birds. The children. Look at all the different colours of green.

We come here more often after we get our dog. The park is dog friendly with a lot of people walking their dogs here. Good to train dogs to socialise.

A great park to visit and a really nice cafe in the centre. It's an escape from the London busy life and within a short space of time, you are surrounded by nature, as if you've just been transported to the country. If you are a runner or a walker, every Saturday morning it holds Park Run which is a 5k distance, you can walk it or run it or a bit of both. Everyone is very welcome to attend. 9am start on Saturday mornings.

Before lockdown I walked an hour a day here. Today is my first day back and it’s as beautiful as ever.

Beautiful park that I've visited since a young child. Always brings back happy memories, very child and dog friendly. Just perfect for a lovely walk and reminiscing.

Lovely verdant park - it has all that you could ever want - currently free car park, childrens' playground, cafe, outdoor gym plus the currently under refurbishment Winter Gardens. Fab views too.

Great Park for approx 3 mile round trip. Well maintained foot path enables the walker to stay relatively mud free whilst walking their pooch.

Avery Hill Park is a great place for playing cricket and also enjoy a family day out. Kids play area is surely a fun attraction they could enjoy.

Great park ...when we visited there was 2 games of cricket being played (love cricket πŸ™‚) some fantastic old trees to look at ,all the dog walkers were very friendly . The cafe is having a refurb not looking forward to opening . Overall I think this park is a good place to visit and in my opinion is underestimated . Me and the dog will see you soon πŸ‘

In addition to being a nice green area to explore. The park hosted Sparkle in the Park (a Christmas fun event with rides, entertainment and stalls) in December 2023.

Went to sparkle in the park which was free and a great trail. Very busy. Probably be best if the funfair wasn't on just market and light trail.

Not visited this park for at least 20 years but today I went with my granddaughter and elderly mum. The playground was a joy for my granddaughter but because of the drizzly rain we went into the tea room...wow, what a terrific experience. Customer service at its best. The lovely couple running it were absolutely fabulous and made us feel more than welcome and nothing was too much. They made us feel at home and I've never been treated so kindly in a cafe/tearoom as much as today. They are marvellous hosts. The surrounding fields are a wonder for walkers and dog owners and lots of history is to be found. The huge 'greenhouse' is being renovated at the moment but will be amazing once opened. This is a truly wonderful local Eltham park which I shall visit now more often.

Nice but wish there was more shaded area specially when there's a very harsh sun shining.
