Beautiful and large park excellent for adults and kids situated in South East London. The park has a very nice lake,a flower gardens well maintained and a lovely playground. There are a lot of things to do such as visit the art gallery, do outdoor gym, play tennis, cricket or football and why not, you can have a lovely picnic in the grass. Public toilets are well maintained and very clean all the time.

How old are those trees? How cozy one feels with the sun or the moon filtering through the branches? How many couples kissed there for the first time? So many questions going through your mind while walking slowly to breathe the peaceful surroundings. Very much recommend visiting. I feel romantic.

The park is huge and amazingly green. It has facilities like cricket ground, football ground , rugby ground , play area for kids and babies , a lake with ducks and swans in it and beautiful flower garden. The cafe is good too. The park area is fully ♿ accessible friendly with ♿ accessible toilets , play area , accessible path and gallery. The only place not accessible is the Ada Salter garden. People of all ages can come and enjoy here. The park is generally clean and COVID measures are in place. I would have given 5 stars if the lake would have been clean ! Its sad to see ducks and swans in filthy green lake water ! Other than that the park is a good one !

I like Southwark Park especially for our flying friends such as birds, ducks, and swans living there. Also, there are workout facilities and small hills to walk around, exercise, and relax. Flowers and trees in the Park are beautiful 😍 and lively 💖 as well.

This is more than just a neighbourhood park being extremely spacious. Even though it gets crowded on evenings and weekends, there is always space to find a secluded corner for some solitude. From tons of greenery to lakes to play area and to wildlife, this is a ravishing open space. Well accessible by different entrances with favourable opening times.

What's cool about the spot - Cycling paths, Tennis and Table tennis for free, lots of green space, benches, a circular pond. Easy spot where you can spend some time and relax. Whilst it's a decent amount of space the main road is really close by which could make some areas of the park quite noisy. Overall definitely a good place to picnic. A great park to explore with plenty different areas. There's a pond, playing fields, the rose garden, a gym and sports facilities, a cafe and a band stand. The park is open on all days and is great for all ages to explore what it has got to offer. Canada Water and Surrey Quays Station are only a short walk from there and there are plenty of buses going past ir.

Pretty good park in Southwark. There is little lake within the park you can do boating. Cafe on site you could get food and drinks. Ice cream is £3 a scoop, 4 for the sugar cone which is really expensive. Play park is pretty good size and your children can have a play in it. Toilets are right next to it. There is a gallery next to cafe but we didn’t check it out. There are various courts for cricket, tennis and football. Outdoor gyms are also available. Main path of the park is in good condition, it will be good for skating and skating boarding. Parking spaces are free within the park for 4 hours which is really convenient.

Before we go home to Devon and after a fantastic weekend and experience watching Argyle play Chelsea we wandered east along the Thames path from Tower Bridge. Glad we did. Not as memorable as other parts of the path but we eventually ended up in this tranquil park....and they had a cafe!! Nice coffee, strange building! Nevertheless we sat overlooking a lake with the sun shining and thought about the wonderful weekend we had just had...

Lovely location. With facilities including tennis court, basketball court, bapminton, footballs pitch. Also a cafe to eat and drink. And toilet facilities including little park for kids. Animals are welcome too. Lovely sight. Been coming here since childhood and never had or seen any problems. 💫

It is a good place to walk. There is a slide and swings for kids. The only problems are people blasting music and trespassing. When the playground is locked, there are numerous kids climing over the fence (Trespassing). It isn't my problem but other than that, it is good.

Nice spacious park where you can use the multi-gym, play cricket in the surrounded net area, play a number of sports on the grass, feed the birds and swans and ducks near the pond area and relax in the flower garden for a bit of peace of quiet. There's a restaurant you can check out for ice cream. Toilets are open but at times there maybe a lack of toilet roll available so do bring some tissue just in case! The atmosphere is very chilled and calming. Watch out for cyclist as at times they do not ring their bells or alert others when near approaching from behind so be mindful! Tennis courts are available but do get busy during the day so arrive early to avoid the queue. There is a car parking area which you will obviously have to pay. (I think) LOL The park does get busy during weekends with people playing music, having little birthday gatherings and things like that. There is a nice little park area for children to swing and slide! Come and check out Southwark Park if you live in the area!

It’s not a really an honest review in the sense that I used the park. It was dark but floodlit & looked like another beautiful green space in London. We started our queue here on the 15th September, to see the Queen laying in state. It was very well organised & met some lovely people.

I love this park. The only issue is the safety. Bikers run fast and stealing phone and bags whatever what they can catch. Be more careful and aware. That’s it the only issue i have when i go there. I don’t feel safe and just keep looking all the time e around. Need to have some security to patrol around.

Lovely victorian park with a children's playground, bandstand, tennis courts, table tennis, boating lake (seasonal), water fountain, bowls pavilion running track, two small galleries, small gym, café, cricket bowling practice area and toilets. Beware, though there are a lot of dog walkers here....just incase you are not a fan of our furry friends !🧡

A surprisingly large park that's nice and green. Lots of dogs and runners. I've walked through it many times, admittedly only the same route but I've never come across and signs for toilets. Not sure if there are any, it's definitely not obvious if there is, but thats the only reason I wouldn't give it more stars!

Was my starting point for viewing the Queen laying in state. A very beautiful park….if not full of crowds, definitely perfect for walks, and maybe a summer picnic (if allowed). A part of London I had never been to before so was nice to see a pretty part rather than buildings.

Parrots chasing squirrels from their tree nests (yes, green exotic parrots, seriously!), a pond brimming with life (from fussy swans turning away from you when you're trying to feed them, to a fox stalking poor ducklings) Plenty of space for sports: tennis courts, a couple of table tennis tables, bowls club, you can play football, cricket and volleyball on wide pitches. There's a playground with a long slide for kids, and a recently opened cafe. Overall – a decent size well-maintained park with plenty of greenery and variety of plants and flowers (plus a recently refreshed garden with a character!)

Such a delightful space, I would certainly pick going to this park over others in Southwark. Picnic tables and benches available. Very well kept and not very busy or too many people with dogs of leash.

Quite a bit park, it is nicely zoned so it never feels too big. Even when it was the starting point for the Queen’s lying in state queue. From the bandstand to lake to kids playground, cafe and open spaces there’s something for everyone. Nice big paths give space for biking and walking together. The lake is definitely overgrown with algae but has a nice variety of ducks, geese and swans - enough to entertain a kid anyway. The cafe sits on its shores, as does the quite exciting kids playground. The little kids area has a surprisingly quick slide but the jewels are the large slide on the hill and two spider-rope things. Lots of fun to be had. A great place to relax that feels a bit like a small Battersea park without the pretentiousness.

One of my favourite places to relax. It has a coffee place, toilets, safe space for kids to play, a sports field, and an outdoor gym. You can also play tennis and ping-pong there, or just take a nice walk.

Another massive park that most Londoners will not have been to except the locals. Whilst there are dozens of parks in a London and many better ones to visit as a tourist, this one has a lot to offer if you live nearby. Large areas of open space and cycle routes, a lake and lakeside cafe, a Children’s play area, a Pavillion, tennis courts etc etc Conveniently close to SE1, it’s located next to the Rotherhite tunnel so close to Limehouse and Docklands

Having lived in the area for 6 years I can honestly say I never tire of this park. It has been an absolute tonic for local residents to stretch our legs in during all of these lockdowns. A pretty park no matter the season and great for running, of which there are several people doing so everyday.

This historical park is stunning. Nice, open space for runs or walks filled with hidden statues and gardens. It's nice to see that this has been open for over 100 years and still feels like how it would back then.

A delightful place for a Sunday afternoon walk with a beautiful formal garden dedicated to Ada Salter who campaigned for the parks creation. It is also home to not one but two excellent galleries showing contemporary art. The lake is lovely too but works were being carried out so we weren't sure if boating was still possible.

Love this Park. Its usually not that busy. I went on Sunday and had lovely strolls between the beautiful plane trees. Grass was green, the park was clean. There's a small coffee shop, not too busy either inside. There was a queue of people waiting to buy a take away drink. There are sports fields like soccer and athletics.

This is a nice park my son is 3years old and loves the slide. As the park I find is well designed in the way of safety you can allow your kids to walk around without having to do a 20meter sprint to save your child.Only down side is the park does get a bit busy sometimes especially during lockdown times.
