An absolutely fantastic market. A superb selection of stalls and goods on offer from clothing to jewelry, hats, Art and a massive selection of food stalls. We had a great time, met some lovely people and bought some beautiful items. I would definitely recommend a trip and would certainly go back.

Unique market experience. Loads off different food vendors to choose from, antiques, specialty shops, hand crafted goods. We had Srilanka food for the first time that was delicious..will go back for pics and the name of the food we had.

I went to a few markets while in London and Spitalfields one of my favorites. Easy to get there on the bus. Lots of interesting stalls and very welcoming and friendly stall holders. Also great food. I had Humble Crumble which was delicious. I also found a lovely dress, some great art and gifts. Went on a weekday. It was lunchtime and not overly crowded so easy to walk around without bumping into people.

Didn't really do the Mkt. Although we did walk through and around taking in the odours, sights and sounds. So perhaps we did 😂 Not as eclectic as it used to be. However there's a great collection of sculpture dotted about. We particularly enjoyed (in Our elephant 😂) the herd of elephants in a variety of sizes from the truly mahoosive to the wee. And the awesomely 😎 Gothic motorbike sculpture In close proximity to Brick Lane.

It's such an amazing place to visit, especially on a Sunday. Very dog friendly inside, so consider this as its lovely day out for a dog owner. There are so many great food stalls to visit. And loads of places to sit and relax too. There's so much to do that you will not be lost for ideas on how to spend your time there. Something for everybody.

Nice market, better and bigger than borough market, many choice of food, today is Saturday , most of them close at 18-19. So if you want street food, you'd better arrive before 17. About price: Things are at least 8pounds, main dish at least 10pounds. Snacks at least 5 pounds.

Small shops and stalls are attractive. You can easily find a table and sit down for a drink or so to refresh yourself before heading to outside shops on the streets where you can spend a few more hours. Decent meals are offered in restaurants until late after the shops are closed in the afternoon. Free toilets are found in the market.

Nestled in the heart of East London, Spitalfields Market is a vibrant blend of history, culture, and contemporary flair. As I meandered through its bustling aisles, I was instantly captivated by the eclectic mix of stalls offering everything from vintage clothing and artisanal crafts to gourmet foods from around the world. The market's rich history is palpable, with its Victorian architecture serving as a reminder of its centuries-old trading legacy. Yet, it seamlessly intertwines this heritage with a modern vibe, evident in the trendy boutiques and pop-up shops that dot the area. One can't help but be charmed by the warm and friendly vendors, each with a unique story to tell about their products. The food stalls, in particular, are a gastronomic delight, offering a smorgasbord of flavors that cater to every palate. The surrounding area complements the market perfectly, with an array of cafes, restaurants, and independent shops that make it easy to spend an entire day exploring. In essence, Spitalfields Market is not just a shopping destination but an experience in itself. It's a melting pot of cultures, tastes, and eras, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to capture the essence of London's diverse spirit. Highly recommended!

We visited Spitalfields Market in London on February and it was amazing! This place is full of energy and has so many food options. I tried some Indian food that was spicy and full of flavor, and it was delicious. There's also a great spot for pizza that had a crispy crust and tasty toppings. You can even see how they bake it in their mini food truck, I enjoyed a cold beer from a local vendor that was just perfect to sip while walking around the market. The market is really lively, with lots of people trying different foods. It's a great place to explore new tastes and enjoy a fun day out. Highly recommend it if you love food and want to try a bit of everything!

I'm an artist trading at this market and it's such a wonderful place to visit and work! Even before I started trading here I was a big fan of this market. It was my first stop for a great market vibe. It's always buzzing here with lots of great market stalls and food places to choose from. Also great to pick up some original watercolour artwork of London from local artists ;)

Great place to take the family. Abundance of food shacks. Lots of things to look at and buy. Especially love the courtyard, spacious and full of character. Lovely Koi pond with elephant sculptures dotted around. Has lots of places to eat with cuisines from all over the world. However not enough places to sit.

It is a must to stop at the market when strolling through the nearby streets, and admire the wall paintings. There are many places to sit, and the turnover in them is high. An almost endless selection of food. There is a stall of foods from different countries, stalls for vegetarians, stalls for vegans, Asian food, Indian food, Turkish food and more. Of course there are coffee stands, ice cream stands, cake stands and pastries. The vegans in the family really enjoyed the Israeli stall that prepared falafel. I ate an Indian chicken wrap. People sitting around me ate a lot of noodles. A celebration of cakes to finish, vegan and regular. Relatively clean toilets.

2 parts here the old and the new sections...lots of shops to browse through old photos, artefacts, lots of trinkets. Had a different vibe to the entire place. Lots of food trucks. Good for a few hrs. Liked the bronze/metal statue artwork which was to depict the plight of animals rescued around the world.

I haven't been here in a while and it was a busy but fun visit. There's lots going on, a lot of great food vendors as well as decent more established restaurants and chains. The stalls are pretty cool to walk around and the stall holders are always up for a chat. The market looks extra special with all of the Christmas decorations up

A lovely market full of things to buy and see. There are loads of eating places in there to and there are so many very nice handcrafted things for sale. It’s free to enter too. I definitely would go again next year and I would suggest going too.

We walked through on a Sunday around 1pm - lunch time. It wasn’t too crowded and the options for food on offer looked delicious, although we didn’t get to eat. The shops are good quality, if on the pricier end. All in all, a nice spot to wander through and next time, I’m coming for lunch!

A nice large market with a good number of dress and food stalls. There are many hand made products. You could enjoy the day and try some different types of foods.

Lots to see and enjoy. I was just there for a brief while but I did see many vendors and delights. Maybe the winter time isn't the best to experience this but it was still buzzing with some local favorites and some new concepts. Hope to return and see this in the summer time.

Open 7 days a week, it is the perfect antidote to the high street. It brings together small producers with local creatives and artisans, original independent retailers and a few well-known brands under one historic roof. The daily market is home to a selection of carefully chosen traders, craftsmen, artists and artisans alike, picked for the quality of their product, and the stories they have to tell. are interested in how things are designed, the creative process and the interesting people who produce the products you’ll find here.

Lovely place to visit in London to walk around, go shopping and drink & dine. The market has a variety of food stalls offering cuisines to suit all flavours from around the world, instagrammable pop up shops, and edgy/quirky clothes/gadget stalls offering unique and limited one pieces! There are also other high street shops like; Office, All Saints, urban outfitters, Mac, The ordinary, Poppies etc

This is a nice market to come on a Sunday morning. There are lots of shops selling different jewellery and fashion items. Not as large as other Sunday market but well laid out and a good range.

Nice place for a quick bite. They have a wide range of Street food options. Some of them are really worth to try. Some of them a not so great. Remember: longer queue doesn't equal to better food.

Really nice market, we went on a Saturday afternoon and it was bustling with people. There’s a nice eclectic range of stalls from independent sellers which makes it more appealing, I’m looking forward to trying some of the food stalls next time.

Great market, lots of jewellery and clothes; for vintage stuff and food wander down to brick Lane where you have the basement vintage clothing emporium. Lots of happy wandering; followed by food from the worldwide food stalls. Dont forget coffee and cake in "the townhouse" possibly the most atmospheric and evocative place to relax in.

A great market with a huge choice of food and various market stalls. You could either have a great day or evening, with relaxing shopping or evening entertainment, being drinking or eating. More restaurants and shops on the perimeter. There are also different market stalls set up depending on what day of the week it is.

One of the best places in London if you are foodie. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and food are very reasonable and tasty. Even in cold weather, a lot of people coming over to shop and eat. Will visit again if I come back to London.

Love the vibe and all the stalls here ❤️ There are plenty of tables for your to order one thing from each stall and then share with friends. All seating are shares so no awkwardness even for solo traveller.

Omg this market is amazing. I’d only ever been to Borough Market prior and this was a really fun change up! I love how many different ethnicities are represented through food here. Whatever I’d be in the mood for, they had it. My brother and I shared some Chinese food and some Venezuelan food and it was 10/10. Can’t wait to return again!

  • 5/5 Liliya D. 1 year ago on Google
Awesome place to grab a bite. There are plenty or cuisines to choose from. The searing area is decent and even though the market gets pretty busy for lunch, you can have a seat and enjoy a tasty meal.

Great little stalls selling clothes, jewellery, knickknacks, etc. Though most seem to be selling more women’s clothing and goods than male ones. Much to my husband’s dismay. A great variety of food trucks are also scattered through out. You’ll want to try a little bit of everything. On the down side there is very little seating. Most seating is exclusive to a few restaurants. This can make it hard to find a place to eat your food if you get it from one of the trucks.

Good vibe and artisan oriental street food. It is fun for the first few visits and can be bit plain after that. However, this market is located excellently (close to Shoreditch and Bricklane, in terms of markets Bricklane is more fun on Sunday) and therefore can still be an ideal option for hanging outs.

Love every bit of this modern market. You have everything. Plenty cuisines to choose from. The loft bar is amazing. Had the best mulled wine in UK and I did tried all Xmas Markets from London…
