The worst customer service I've ever received in any hotel or other form of accommodation. Room was alright for a one night's stay and area is nice for strolling around. Still wouldn't recommend. Here you have to pay if you want to leave your bag in the reception for one hour before check in so you could grab some lunch, not to mention the Wifi you have to pay ridiculous sums for. I'm sure there are nicer hotels around with friendly service included in the price. ;)

Stayed for one night to attend a concert locally. Staff were friendly and welcoming from the get go. Our room was not large, but the beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable and the fridge and microwave were an added bonus you don't get in most hotels. Breakfast was also greatly appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

When arriving, was met with a very unwelcoming smell of cannabis being smoked which filled the reception area outside. Not a fault of the hotel but certainly impacts on the visit Room was very small but manageable and seemed clean. Bed was comfortable. Road noise throughout the night. Breakfast was continental, no cooked food, very basic. I wasn't a fan of having to leave the room key at reception when going out, having a work trip and having expensive electrical equipment in the room. However nothing happened. Would I go back, no, was it awful no, for the price though its hard to complain. If the breakfast was a bit better, even if they had someone welcome you to the room and offered to prepare some beans on toast it would have improved the experience.

It is very expensive for what it offers.Single rooms are in basement near dinning room and very noisy in the morning and it is a bad smell and very small room without table or chair. Also I found a bug on towel (attached picture). Every time when leave hotel you have to leave key to reception, that is absurd. Breakfast is very poor only ham and cheese. Lobby is very small. Pillows and bed sheets are not fresh. Shower stand is missing so I had to keep shower handle in hand. Very noisy rooms and also you do not have signal on mobile phone. Room was very hot and even if I closed the tap of radiator it was still hot

Room was small for 2 people. Bathroom was the smallest I've ever been in. I'm 6ft3 and having a to stand stiffly in a corner to shower is not ideal. Kettle wasn't working in the room. As the room was small, it got really hot and the windows were stiff to open. Breakfast wasn't the best. Sleep was okay, bed was kind of comfy. Overall, definitely not worth the money spent. Over priced, outdated and cramped.

Good service in the reception. We had a room in the basement and there was no ventilation at all... Only the window. Wich made it like t a tropical rain forest. If you get the optional to pay for the breakfast skip it! Utilities in or room was a refrigerator, hair dryer, water boiler, microwave.

If this was the last available hotel..keep looking. We got the infamous basement room. And it was everything and more than what we were expecting. We had already read about this room, but one thing is to read about it and another is to live through it. The amenities include, but are not limited to a heater that doesn't turn off, a shower that will get the whole bathroom wet including your towel, and soap that repels water. If that's not enough, you can look forward to a bright light right outside your window that's so bright that you don't know when night turns into day. Enjoy your stay at the Kensington Suit. Grab a Nutella on your way out.

Worst “hotel” (I don’t get how it has 3 stars) I’ve ever was supposed to stay at. - Staff made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe - you need to leave the key at the lobby when you leave - rooms were in horrible shape - the single room had a window that was “fixed” with tissue paper, you could still feel the draft and it was really loud. I explained that I recently had chemotherapy done and have no immunesystem. Despite knowing that, no other room was offered and I was told to just put the radiator on. - when asking for a triple room (we booked a single and a double) he showed us the room, which wasn’t in great shape either but better. he then first asked for a £30 extra charge in cash (apparently its a “good deal” if we pay in cash) despite the triple room being cheaper than the other 2 rooms together. he then, once we were interested, corrected himself that its actually £30 per night extra. we ended up rebooking to another hotel because it just wasnt bearable. hotel is refusing a refund. the picture i added is from the better room, the double room.

The staff here are incredibly friendly, they remember everyone and enjoy having a laugh. The rooms are air conditioned and well facilitated and bathrooms are comfortably sized. Good location, walking distance to food shops and underground train station and rooms are well priced. Have visited other hostels/hotels in the area and wished I were back here instead.

We booked here for three nights for what the hotel lacks in decor, it more than makes up for with low prices and location. Wifi was free when we stayed and the welcome we received cordial enough. We had a clean ensuite room with microwave, fridge and kettle. The staff were pretty good with our three year old, and none of the horror stories we read in other reviews of this place were apparent. Would stay again
