Without a doubt the best retro untouched cinema in London & South East. Well, with an area that has been gentrified and although the new bars around look great. True South Londoners love history and memories unchanged. And this cinema fits that description - it isn't rundown, it's had new paint of course, but the age of the building you can see it still. Authentic! Film tickets unchanged like since I was a kid, not telling you my age, but for big blockbusters just £5* and the staff are great and welcoming. I also noticed that they do special screenings for people who are on the Spectrum (people with Autism), we're they lower the sound of the screenings and have short breaks in the film. Great place for all. *£6 for 3D films

Great independence cinema with nice price of ticket £4.99 (you can book online or book from ticket machine in front) everyday, not fixed seat so you can sit anywhere. You can get popcorn at good price. Advertisement is around 15-20 minutes. Only been here to see 2 films and experiences are different. First one, I went to see 007 on weekdays, it was lovely with all audiences being respectful as usual. Secondly, I went to see Batman on the weekend and most audiences (like more half of them) brought their own bag of snacks which made noise throughout the films. Please don’t bring something that make noise since this isn’t your home theatre. Not sure if it’s common here or just this groups or just on weekends. Besides that the staff is nice and overall is clean, but just don’t hold high expectation and you’ll be fine. Great place to catch the film at cheap price.

It’s a very old cinema theatre with multiple screens. The one where we saw a movie was quite small. Sound quality is decent and screen is good to watch 2D movies. Seating is very old style and very low level. If you’re short and sitting at the last row from screen you might be seeing heads of people sitting in front of you 🤓

Cheap, cheerful, but a total dive. Movies are only a fiver all day every day. The cinema is lurid and iconic. It's a bit grimy, but you get what you pay for innit? I dig it.

Amazing cinema , reasonable as it should be, but it needs a little makeover.

Tickets for £4.99.😳 Why would I go and pay £16+ to watch the same film? Comfortable seats, and kids boosters are available and safe. Lots of staff. We keep coming back. We love this cinema and have watched the big films here, the crowd is always a mixture, polite. But I only go there to watch kid friendly films. I can't comment on those late sessions. It is in Peckham, easy to find with the big pink signage. Happy this independent cinema is standing and hope it stays for more decades to come💗

Decent, cheap and cheerful and nothing fancy! The seats are pretty old and they are not raised so you can end up seeing people’s heads on bottom of screen if you are short like me! I tend to go earlier or right on time as seats aren’t allocated and it’s first come first serve. I try to wait for the hype over a movie to pass and then go and see the movie so there would be more seat choices and less people around. It smells a little but that’s expected from an old cinema with ancient carpets. But I like the old fashioned and charming style of Peckhamplex and would keep returning occasionally.

Great cinema with a surprising number of screens. Parking was difficult as there is limited free parking around the back - a short walk from the cinema entrance, and looks a bit dodgy - though I think there was a guy there that appeared to be deterring trouble. Unfortunately it is resident only parking nearby - so no option of paid parking unless further away. Best to use public transport. The cinema itself was one of those sticky carpet affairs. Looked sparse and dated inside - despite the electronic machines outside to print your ticket. Staff were helpful though I expected more/better snacks to offset the very cheap £5 tickets. The cinema itself was pretty good. Old style staggered seating - but if you're unlucky you could have your view completely blocked. During my viewing there were surprisingly no tall people, which is probably not a surprise given it was the Barbie mobile. The atmosphere was brilliant throughout, people laughed but there was no chatting or annoying people putting their feet up or making lots of noise or using their phone during the screening. It was quite a relief. The only downside is that seating is first come first served, so our group had to split up. In all - the tickets are cheap all the time - but if you want better quality reserved seating - then this isn't for you. Otherwise just head there much earlier.

Just the best cinema in South East London, my kids watched so many films here and now my grandkids do too. The community loves you.

Great cinema for community. Before we went, I was afraid to be disappointed after reviewing the comment here. Nonetheless, I can see now that those negative reviews are pretty outdated. The cinema keeps the vintage feature and is cleaner. The staff are nice and friendly. Would definitely come back. The screen is small , so the room but it doesn't affect anything as the sounds system is decent.

The doors were easy to open. The corridor were brightly lit, so I knew where I was going. The staff helped toward the right door. There was a huge screen behind that door, like a giant TV. I saw a movie and had a beer. It's a cinema all right. Lovely one. Go and see :)

Good cheap tickets but as with all cinemas, snacks and drinks are extortionate. As Peckham isn't a very affluent area you'd expect a more affordable concession stand too, but luckily they are good about allowing snacks in from outside.

Great theatre! So cheap and very fun. It’s cheap because they pack you in tight, so I did have a view heads blocking my view, but i could still see the screen fine. Plus, if you go to the roof you can get an amazing view of the London skyline.

Great place, been coming here since 2003. Great value for tickets. Nice to have something local and reasonably priced.

Been coming here for as long as I can remember. Now I take my kids there, love this cinema. £5.99 for everyone anytime any day, staff are nice and there is a decent amount of screens. Very close to peckham rye station, shops and restaurants.

My first visit and was hoping not to be disapppiinted, but sadly this was not the case. Went to see Zone of Interest, where the background sound is critical to the film., Sadly Screen 6 wasn't up to the job, so was straining ot hear the sound which appeared to be coming only from the speakers behind the screen. This was componded by music bleeding in from elsewhere in the building. Will not be returning to Peckhamplex unless it's to watch some trash film!

It's OK. When I first moved to Peckham (way back when) it was brilliant as it was cheap and cheerful. Now the prices have gone up by a squid with the same presentation of the venue interior it's hard to justify going with mates especially when there are places like the Odeon who accepts £10 for two deals with Amazon or Octopus Energy. I'll still go on occasion but Odeon is tempting.

It is a good family and reasonably cinema. Good value. It is not the top class but I would say I have paid more elsewhere and got a bad service. One person whose name escapes me was very helpful.

Affordable, community vibes. A bit of a tangy smell in some of the screens and seats could do with a refresh but for the price it's hard to complain too much. Movie tickets £5

Absolutely one of the best theater experiences I've had in a long time. Very pleasantly staffed with a great selection of movies and affordable prices. The audience seemed genuinely happy to be there and there was a very communal feel.

Best cinema in London, ever. The cheapest, comfortable, staff is kind and attentive, and they've got the same movies as any other considered "better quality" cinema in the city, including new releases. Very close to the train station too, so very easy to get there from pretty much anywhere.

great cinema to watch a movie. Much better than vue for value, service and overall experience. Will always recommend here

Listen, this isn't a luxury odeon, but the tickets are £4.99 so how could you say no. Definitely avoid seeing a film on the first opening weekend or two because it'll be rammed beyond belief, but after that you'll pretty much have the screen all to yourself. They might forget to turn the lights down tho which happens sometimes, but it's a good laugh and we love our local cinema and everyone who works in it.

Screen 2 is absolutely filthy. The thick dust on the seats is disgraceful i could not even relax. The seats are also uncomfortable and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years, the floor is sticky like it was mopped with cola and it smells musky.

Went there for Mountview presentation of graduation. They went all out to make it an enjoyable event especially for the graduates with photos of the last years activities of students. The only negative is the seats could really do with an upgrade.

It has a nice atmosphere. The checking in process was a bit confusing and redundant, as we had to go to the main cashier to get our tickets validated, then go to another person to actually gain access to the cinema. Would've thought they'd just have a handheld scanner. Also the price of a big bucket of popcorn seems a bit big, £6.30. Apart from these, the overall experience was nice and I'll be coming back soon.

Awesome cinema at an affordable price. It is not the cleanest or the newest and it certainly have had better days but it always has an amazing and up-to-date movie offer with candy and pop corn

Great independent cinema, that has kept prices consistently low for years. Really caters to the local area and it is nice not having to resort to a chain. Has a cool retro look too!
