Refined curators of cool, the owners know how to present popular cultural references - authentic, signed prints and collectibles stacked, framed, artfully laid out around the premises. The owners looked busy when I was there but took the time to help answer my questions. Great for one-off memoribilia gifts.

Inherited some books which included a particular set. Took them to Peter Harringtons just to get some face to face expert advice and valuation. Despite its prestige I was very warmed by the enthusiasm and assistance given. Thanks

World class outfit on every front After several depressing experiences of selling good collectible books through major auction houses I thought I’d try Peter Harrington Rare Books who have a world class website. I was not disappointed. My first transaction was in May 2018 and I have had a further five since. On each occasion I was extremely happy with the price and was paid the same day! In short in my opinion it would pointless going anywhere else. I can not recommend Peter Harrington Rare Books more highly.

First time purchasing a rare book and the service was excellent. Soon as I reserved a book all my question were answered. Delivery was fast and very pleased with the book in its condition.

Strange one. The shop has an excellent reputation and I remember buying a couple of books from them when I lived in Notting Hill years ago. However I phoned them wanting to sell my Boswell’s ‘Life of Johnson’ but it garnered little interest and no one called me back. I presumed the market for this has dried up but an auction house estimated well over a thousand pounds.

An Aladin's cave for book lovers! I followed Peter Harrington on Instagram, had a looke at the website, and by pure coincidence drove past the following week (I'm not familiar with this part of London). I called in, and was greeted warmly and directed to the relevant shelves. End result being I ordered a Zaehnsdorf binding of a JB Priestly book when I got home, and it arrived the next day in perfect condition. Just a wonderful experience from beginning to end.

A massive range of collectable books and prints. As a London obsessive I particularly enjoy browsing their incredible selection of old maps, prints and rare books on London. There is a genuinely welcoming atmosphere, the fact that I probably can't afford most of the items I am browsing doesn't seem to matter at all. I would strongly recommend that fellow London enthusiasts drop by and admire museum quality items that you probably won't have seen, or certainly been allowed to handle, anywhere else.
