The facilities are very nice and they would deserve 5 out 5. The equipment of the gym is good, the space is limited but it never gets super busy. The tennis courts are excellent and there are several studios to accommodate the large number of classes. That’s very cool. The overall service, however, is quite poor. The staff ignore emails or answer very slowly (even when I communicated that my partner wanted to join!). Since the single membership is quite expensive, I dont think "you get what you pay for", and I would expect people to be more reactive and professional. The restaurant is okay but far from being excellent. They have an interesting menu and you can definitely eat healthy after your workout. Yet the service, again, is quite poor. First time I ate there, the waiter forgot twice to bring me the cutlery and a couple of times I had to eat on a table full of crumbs. Again, nothing major but if you pride yourself for being a premium gym, you should also offer a premium service.

WHY HAVE DAVID LLOYD TAKEN OFF ITS STAR RATING SO YOU CANNOT SEE IT? IN MASSIVE NEED OF A STAFF OVERHAUL SAMANTHA MURPHY HAS TO BE THE WORST MANAGER IVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. RUDE UNDIGNIFIED AND NEVER GIVES A STRAIGHT ANSWER HOW SHE HAS LANDED THIS JOB I DO NOT KNOW. DAVID LLOYD SERIOUSLY HAS TO LOOK AT THEIR SCREENING PROCESS.

SERIOUS STAFF OVERHAUL NEEDED. facilities are quite good. Layout is nice. But for such an expensive gym i would seriously expect more competent and intelligent staff. Its like david lloyds have just recruited a bunch of kids to run a multi million establishment. The worst part of the gym is the girls who work in the creche. The girl with curly hair and spots not sure mck or something and the small supervisor sam are the most jeremy kyle like people ive ever dealt with. For one ive picked up my son numerous times with a full dirty nappy and they are always crying to never go in. Windows covered up so you cannot even see what is going on. And children are deafening with tears. No other david lloyd is covered up. Ive signed up to a 6 month contract but after seeing the quality of their staff if they do not do something about it soon i will be forced to leave

My entire family are members here at David Lloyd Acton and enjoy all the facilities. However, I booked a treatment today (a sports massage) and was extremely disappointed and disgusted to know that the towels on the massage table was just flipped over after the last person left and not changed. This is unhygienic and completely unacceptable. The massage was great and the therapist is very good, however due to back to back bookings (example: one massage would finish at 5pm and then next one is booked starting for 5pm too) which leaves the therapist no time to refresh the room, change the towels on the massage table or to even wash their hands after finishing with the previous client. I went inside the room as the previous client was coming out which means the therapist didn’t have time to wash hands and only flipped the towels instead of changing to fresh ones all because David Lloyd decided not to give a minimum of 5 min or 10 min gap in between each session. I’ve never seen anything like this ever! My family and I are definitely not going to do any treatments here ever again and are even considering leaving after what I had experienced. Very disrespectful & disappointing! AVOID MASSAGES HERE SO YOU DON’T GET ANY SKIN DISEASE OR ANYTHING ELSE, GOD FORBID!

Never ever go to this gym. Everything is just ridiculous about it. I am a current member along with my other 3 family members, we made a big mistake by leaving Virgin Active at first place and join this rubbish gym. Now, we are all going to leave this place for good. They are just there to steal people's money and their service and customer service is just awful.

It is shocking to phone David Lloyds club at Acton Park during opening hours and at 14:00 hours , only to go through a recorded answer machine (leave a message)???!!!! Any reception staff are working there ??!!! That is unprecedentedly appalling way of effective organisation. No wonder that their business is down hill and had to seek a lift by advertising in national TV which costs lots of money. It is cheaper to fix your lousy customers services first.

I was looking forward to visit the gym and see what they offered, but it turned out a total disappointment after spending few seconds with the sales person who told me that the fees were £174 per month (for all services) and if that was in my budget he would show me the gym, not otherwise. I told him to be a good salesmen and show me the place. He did almost reluctantly. The facilities looked great though new gym and loads of classes. I was a member of F45 for almost a year but the cost was even higher (£210/month) so I was looking for not only classes but also a spa to relax. I might have joined if it wasn’t for their sales rep attitude plus the joining fees.

Great place for fitness classes, gym, paddle and tennis. They love tennis here. It’s a good little David Lloyd visited by many at peak times. The pools are also brilliant. The facilities are well looked after and as good as expected for the group.

We are a family with 1 child and monthly Pay over £500 for membership with Swimming and tennis class!!! within the 1st month my son got bullied and also staff have harassing attitudes as we complained about the fact my son getting bullied and that while he had private tennis lesson other kids shouldn't have played football next to him and kick ball in his court!! My son was kicked in his fingers by an older boy (English) in tennis court and had pain for days and his school was concerned as he couldn't write for days. I had to go through a lot of unnecessary and stressful arguments with the tennis coach (English) and tennis manager (English) and the result was an unfriendly email stating that my son (British Minority) was never kicked!! with many other similar comments and defending the boy who kicked my son until the branch manager (British Minority) got involved and dealt with the issue professionally and with honesty and this was to just to speak to the older boy (English) and make sure that it wouldn't happen again!!! at the classes where the coaches or instructors are English, they would ignore the kids from minority groups and favour the English/white child!! One of the tennis coaches approached my son and I, while we were having drinks at the restaurant and reading and started arguing in front of my son as I complained about the fact that when my son was having private tennis session at the tennis court today, couple of kids were playing football in the same area and were kicking football in the court my son was having his private tennis session! so surprisingly tennis coach decided to come and bring up an argue with me to say that its ok in this club for kids to bring football in tennis courts and play while waiting for their private lessons and bother others who are having tennis lessons!! Disappointed and disgusted. regret having membership at this club

Been an absolute nightmare trying to cancel our membership - there always seem to be a reason why it can’t be cancelled. Despite confirming it was all cancelled in January over £200 has come out of our account. I never normally leave bad reviews but the customer service has been terrible - no one ever comes back to you. Honestly they charge a massive premium but then don’t deliver a customer experience to match. What a shame. ☹️

For a club that considers and advertises itself as premium and luxury I think it needs to improve vastly in many areas especially for the membership prices! My main concern is that there are always too many children running around uncontrollably and seemingly unsupervised making a lot of noise which is absolutely unbearable, even in the adult area with the door shut, all I can hear is noisy children which is unacceptable and very annoying if you are trying to relax. Charging £2 for a towel is a joke as should be included in the cost of expensive membership! In the changing rooms they don't even have hand towels and cotton buds which are standard even in other more basic gyms, Things in the spa are regularly broken and out of use, Food is way too expensive. That said there are some good things, SOME of the staff are good, plenty of classes, gym has good equipment and not too busy so you don't have to wait long to use equipment, (however they don't have a simple ab roller which all other gyms have!) And having an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi is good along with the terrace

Was a David Lloyds member prior to moving to West London and joined the club local to me as had good experience at my old club. This club was much more expensive than other branches so I tried a 3 month pass to see if I would enjoy it. Sadly the gym is over crowded, lacks equipment on the gym floor, is dirty, not maintained and the shower and spa area is also over crowded and often dirty as well with towels being left everywhere. I decided quickly I would cancel my members at the end of the 3 months and then was told I had to pay a FOURTH month because the 1st month "doesn't count". I tried speaking to the Sales Manager and was ignored several times. I decided to refuse to pay my final month to try and encourage some dialog but instead I received threats from debt collectors and an increased admin fee. This has put me off ever using David Lloyds again and have made sure to tell friends to avoid signing up with them as well. What is worst is that this is classed as a 'premier' club and this is how it's being managed?

Good facilities, but massively over-subscribed. If you fork out for the premium membership and hope to either book tennis courts or tennis group events, forget it. As soon as a workshop or social gets released via the app, they are scalped and gone within seconds - 8 days in advance. Booking a court to just play is similarly difficult, unless you can do off peak. If tennis matters to you, this is not the place.

I'm delighted to give David Lloyd gym a 5-star review! The facilities are top-notch, offering a perfect blend of modern equipment, expert trainers, and a serene ambiance. The variety of fitness classes and amenities like spa services and swimming pools truly set it apart. The staff's attentiveness and dedication to member satisfaction make every visit a pleasant experience. If you're looking for a premium fitness destination that prioritizes both physical and mental well-being, David Lloyd is the place to be!

This David Lloyd has it all. The fitness centre hasn't even been open 1 week yet, so perhaps that large number of happy staff may decline as time goes on, but at present I am impressed with the staff and its facilities. The gym facilities are very good, however the stand out factor about this place are the pools! The indoor pool is pleasant with a kids pool at the end for splashing around. Then outdoors there is a 25m pool which is heated to a pleasant 30degrees, which is great for an outdoor swim in the evening. If you go to the back of the outdoor pool, behind the fence, you can open a gate which leads to an adults only outdoor giant hot tub!! This is great for a unique, relaxing evening outside and enjoying the fresh air whilst you unwind! Another great place to relax is in the spa, with hydrotherapy pool, hot/cold shower mixer, 2x saunas, 1x steam room, 3x heated bed loungers, and ice chippings dispenser. I have yet to explore the classes on offer or the tennis courts, however I am sure these will be on par with the rest of the centre! Other positives include the on site parking, the kids club and children's play areas on site, as well as a clubroom and restaurant, serving fresh food. Unfortunately, they haven't quite mastered the kitchen timings, and many people were waiting almost an hour for food (admittedly of was a busy weekend to open on) Once they master this, the club will be spot on. They also need to address the availability of sun loungers as by lunchtime there were none left, and I found my towel dumped on the floor TWICE after I left my lounger to go swim. This is more to do with the rude members rather than the staff though!!

Tried to join David Lloyd Acton twice. Filled out out an online questionnaire with all my details and on both occasions nobody got back to me. I went along to Virgin active and they signed me up straight away. I guess it shows the level of professionalism between them both.

Went here with an open mind despite mixed reviews. Unfortunately for me paying nearly £200 a month, what was on offer felt bad value. Changing rooms felt a bit dirty sometimes. Really doesn't feel high end. Lots of screaming kids as soon as you arrive from the creche, front staff behaviour unprofessional at times (one staff member jumping over reception desk with two massage guns before using them on himself whilst I waited at reception once). And then after leaving had a a very pushy person on the phone who when couldn't convince me to extend was actually a bit rude saying 'good luck elsewhere'. I'll stick with Virgin Active!

Is this place worth £200 joining fee + £209 per month? Absolutely no way. It baffles me why people accept these exorbitant costs. The club is slightly grubby and slimey with kiddie crumbs on the floor. The lockers look old and you need to bring your own padlock. There were an overly high number of class cancellations whilst i was there and i rarely saw a staff member on the gym floor to help me with the machines. Basically for a premium priced gym i expected to be treated like royalty and i really wasn't. Also there is a cold, older blonde female receptionist who is rude and you can tell she wishes she was anywhere but the Acton branch of the club. It's highly amusing.

Please please avoid joining this club. I have signed a contract with DL from the start of the year, and because of the sudden COVID 19 pandemic - I decided to cancel. However, the membership team kept emailing back and forth saying I should only cancel my membership if I have a medical issue or recently made redundant. My reason for cancellation is because of COVID 19, duhh? It's not my problem a pandemic crisis isn't stated in the terms and condition. The fact here is, I do not wish to risk my health or in fact my life to save your bloody business. Please avoid at all cost. When it comes to understanding people at a humanitarian level, there is nothing there. Just money thirsty.

Horrendous and appalling management. Hiding the flaws instead of accepting mistakes and taking responsibility they are defensive. Yesterday, I visited the club with a guest pass. I was shocked to see the glass sliding door in adult lounge area shattering on a man's head, seriously damaging his arm. Ambulance was called and taken to an A&E for stitches!! Imagine the horror, the poor man unnecessarily went through. The management acted as if its not a big deal.. Shame on them!! Stay away!!!!!

I recently joined this club. And on my first day using the gym, my locker in males changing room have been smashed. They took my wallet with cash and all bank cards including my designer belt have been stolen. When I reported this to the staff, they didn’t even contacted police and refused to check the cctv at the time. I reported this incident to the police myself. 30 minutes later the person who stole my wallet tried to use my cards in Westfield shopping centre. Luckily I froze all of my bank cards. Westfield shopping centre did identify the person tapping my cards upon checking cctv. The next day David Lloyds manager checked the cctv and confirmed to me that they saw a man taking the same belt from he’s bag at the gate as he was walking out of the gym. My locker was smashed between 2-3pm the same man, walking out with my belt, tapping my bank cards at Westfield shopping centre 30 minutes later matching the description of this man. The gym refused to report this to the police and when I approached the manager two days later to ask about if they did anything about it, she simply was laughing in my face. I asked her what is funny here, she replied ‘sorry we don’t have any information and this is got nothing to do with us. I really didn’t expect this at the gym where they charge you £169 per month and they treat you this way.

Overpriced, small and unpleasant place. Gym floor way to small with very limited number equipment, you need to literally queue for equipment. Unpleasant staff. Terms and conditions tie you in with no right to your self what so ever. Min membership freezing two mounts etc… Parking small and often you need to wait for long time for someone to leave so you can park. Only good if you live close by and you wanna leave your kids to runaround in the play area which is dirty, very loud and cold in winters.

It’s a 5-star priced gym with 1-2 star service. If you have a child, then probably it’s your heaven as they have seemingly great facilities for kids. Just dump your child there and go on to your business. However, everything is different with the rest of the club. Changing rooms are old, cramped, dirty during rush hours. Toilets smell with urine and dirty clothes. Lockers are occupied with people keeping stuff overnight, they seem to cut lock from time to time but this happens like once a month. The gym area is, though well laid, is literally never tended to by the staff. It’s a total mess during busy hours and beyond. No one seems to be putting weights back and equally no one seems to care about it. The crowd coming to the gym is of a very particular nature, seems to be coming in gangs of friends who don’t give a toss about anyone else: constant shouting, music playing, throwing equipment around with no staff intervening or caring about it. The equipment is generally old, worn out, quite often things are broken. What’s to say, if there’s one set of heavy dumbbells for the whole gym! Parking: that’s a separate story. Despite numerous complains of various people, there’s still only 2 electric car charging places with one not operational for months already. Zero control over where people park, during the rush hour or outside of it. The only positive thing I can say about the place is its class instructors, they are genuinely great as opposed to the general floor staff. I used to go to DL at Oxford, and that place being much cheaper (at least in the past) is non comparably better without pretending to be a posh club. All in all, if you are mainly into jacuzzis and a sauna and you have (kid)s that you need to entertain while you pump yourself, this isn’t a bad place. But if you are a gym goer, don’t bother, the place isn’t worth it at all! And for David Lloyd, all starts with management. I’d look carefully at how the place is being managed and make drastic changes. For me, I’m certainly leaving once my membership has expired

I have been a member for 9 months now, before joining I did a lot of research into the gym as I wanted to find out if it would be worth it considering the price. I must say I am so glad I joined. It is pricey as a gym however it is a lot more than a gym and offers so much more than your usual fitness place. Overall I love it! There is so much to choose from that I never get bored and always motivated to go. The classes are great and the instructor are all really experienced and guide you through each class in the most wonderful way. They all seem genuinely doing their best. The pools are amazing, even though I mainly use the indoor one as I find the outdoor water way too cold for me. But nice to have the options in summer. The fitness area has any machine and free weight your could possibly think of. And the SPA area is really really relaxing, it gets busy but I never found it impossible. The cafe area is very pleasant, ideal to just chill after a session. There are plenty of social activities and we did go to a couple as a family which we really enjoyed. There is a nice play area for children which is quite handy, however the inflatable/ bouncy pillow has been broken for a while and I hope it will be repaired soon. What I also like is the car park, as in my previous gym I had to get into a busy mall car park and had to find a space each time and often had to go onto several floors...very stressful. You do need to look for a space at times however there is always a spot. Overall this is an amazing place to reset and recharge for me. It does come at a price however I think its good value for money considering what you get.

Unauthorized charges, impossible cancellation, and disrespect towards the customer. During the trial period, I requested cancellation and nearly three weeks later, nothing has been done. They charged the monthly fee as usual, didn’t refund the enrollment fee, and there have been no responses to any of the six emails and two chats. While the facilities are good and the staff attentive, the customer experience is disrespectful. If you’re thinking of staying loyal for life, welcome to the club! And good luck if you ever try to leave… Updating: After 5 days from the review and almost 1 month from cancellation request, no resolution. And I received a call from David Lloyds requesting the monthly payment. INSANE!

Spent a lot of money on membership and PT. Lied to about costs, Let down by PT. They never return calls or emails and then charged me another £1000 for membership even though my year was up i hadn't been in there for about a year.Due to it being so poorly run. Intend to have someone with a board outside to find others that were ripped off and get a class action going. Absolute Disgrace of a club.

Quality gym equipment, indoor tennis in winter, heated outside swimming pool, variety of classes, friendly staff, good food selection in the cafeteria. The club could be cleaner and slightly cheaper.

Great family health club - we have been going ever since it opened. They had the initial teething issues you would expect when opening a new gym, but we have always found the staff to be super friendly and helpful. The changing rooms are clean, the gym is well equipped and never over busy. Amazing outdoor pool and spa facilities. We take our kids for swimming lessons every Saturday morning and the instructors are great. It’s a great space for the kids to have fun in the indoor soft play or outdoor pirate ship.

Good place to get to do all your outdoor and indoor activities. Membership is quite pricey but a lot of things you get to do here. Worth the price? You might wanna try it and let yourself know. For me, this is good and recommended if you live around the area

Well laid out and new gym with modern amenities. David Lloyd has invested a lot of money into this club and it certainly shows. Includes large spa facilities and outdoor jacuzzi and pools, giving this place more of a country club feel. Lots of parking space and easily accessible by public transport.

Fantastic Club! Great facilities, love the clean pools and friendly staff. Have been attending Acton for a while now and it is my favourite club. The class times are very good, they always suit my schedule (before, after work or lunchtime). Lots of variety!

The monthly membership fee was deducted despite the contract ending and has taken a very long time to resolve. The lady who dealt with me at the reception of the Acton Park gym and Elaine, who worked diligently to resolve the issue via chat, were very polite and helpful. However Instead of being refreshing, the gym doubled my stress and I never want to be join as a membership again.

Very nice place, could relax in the jacuzzi inside as well as outside. The outside jacuzzi is surrounded by green plants giving you nice feeling of tranquility. In the inside SPA zone you can find warm beds, three saunas and you can relax. Highly recommended. Staff is helpful and welcoming.

Today we visited the David Lloyd leasure club at Acton Park for the first time, the staff was very kind and helpful. Lucy who showed us around the club was great. She explained about many things we didn't know. She also offered help for our first day which will be very helpful for our 5 year old daughter. Great place and great service.

The issue with this club is management. There’s absolutely zero management engagement with the members. If you have even the smallest issue/query and would like to discuss it at the club you are asked to put your request through the app and somebody will call you within 7 days. I find it unbelievable that a club at this level can operate this way and that members seem to accept it. If you try and call the club to speak to somebody it simply rings out. I’ve never witnessed a member of the management team talking to a club member let alone resolving a problem.

I was so disappointed after being invited by staff to attend as a guest they would not allow access even though a member seemed happy to support us. We were a Black group of 5 : / Staff need to be trained up properly and give the right information over the phone. Thank God I drive. Having the best time at Coral reef.

UPDATING: We have informed Citizens Advice of our issue with David Lloyds Leisure, and CA have then informed Trading Standards of our information. The reason: failing to send us our contract, which legally we are allowed to ask for, so that we understand the notice period we agreed to "at the time we signed the contract" (not online as these might have changed since, or be different than what's in our contract), as we decided to cancel our membership. As we have had no response, after 2 months we had to cancel our direct debit. After DOZENS of emails that went unanswered - they finally emailed back saying they do NOT have a copy of our contract. And surprisingly (or actually unsurprisingly as their level of customer service has been shockingly poor), sent us to ARC Europe who then threatened us with court proceedings. For what? To "hold us" to a contract that you don't have? I REPEAT: if our contract says we owe them money, we will of course pay. But we need to know and understand what we owe them before paying them. They are free to call me to discuss if they want as we do want this matter resolved. Which I doubt they will as they have showed zero interest in this thus far.

Ive been to a lot of tennis clubs. What is unusual is the friendliness of everyone here. All the members are just so welcoming. The coaches are really helpful, and there is a great range of ability. A lot of social sessions which is really important and great competitive standard. If I had to bet why, it is because of Bridie the head coach. She oozes trust and professionalism, as well as a quick sense of humour, to make this such a welcoming place, but one where in just a few months I have, thanks to Bridie, seen a real improvement in my tennis. Thanks Bridie, and don't hesitate to come try it. The pools are pretty good too :) Just had an amazing tournament to support sepsis - they just do great things

Firstly I have run out of words to describe this club, I signed up a few months ago now and I continue to fall in love with this place, from the lovely people at reception to the lovely ladies in the food and beverages section, (Clara and Sumaira) who continue to make my day each and every time I attend the club. The sign up process was very efficient, Hannah was really knowledgeable and advised me into a deal that suited me the most, I loved her so much I have managed to convince my cousins to sign up too, her patience, charisma and charm sold me into signing up, and it is a pleasure coming into the club and seeing the lovely ladies who provide an environment like no-other. Despite the price, I couldn't be happier with my membership, with DL Acton providing a high service luxury lifestyle you are promised when signing up.

Really enjoying my time here at the club. There is a real sense of community and belonging here. Antony from the sales team was very welcoming and made the joining process simple and painless. The quality of personal training was also very good too so I am now well on my way to reaching my goals. Definitely recommend!

Appalling customer service. Leaving after a year. The facilities are too crowded with families with small children, especially the weekends. Parking is impossible on Saturdays. The outdoor spa is cold and often out of service. The showers are not clean. Pool staff is unfriendly with swimmers who want to do laps in the lanes. I was asked to wait 2 months to join and 3 to leave. Very unhappy customer.

I’m at the gym 5 times a week and the club ticks so many boxes. Good space, clean, kids activities and great classes. This gym has a lot to offer in terms of class types etc. I also really value the class instructors - they are excellent and do make every effort to make their classes motivating (Kat, Alicia, Aaron, Ali, Tom, Venus, Josh, Karen, etc etc to name a few). The club is also a great place for making friends ?

I do like the club and want it to succeed but it needs to do a lot better. Standards have slipped over the last two (admittedly difficult) years. Too many facilities breakdowns that take too long to fix, with poor communications. staff training not good enough for a premium club. Cleanliness slipping. I wouldn't mind paying the top dollar price for a top notch service, but since the end of lockdown there has been a mismatch and it is getting worse.

Rude reception staff with no manners….. Everything is very good but the reception people are horrible and not respectful at all very rude and not helpful with no manners. They treat you as if you come for free and not pay money and as if you are not a member of the club. I’m personally a platinum member of the club more than three years ago me and my family and I was treated very very bad. I’m disgusted and speechless on what to say.

A great place to relax in the spa, jacuzzi and cafe or get to working out in their great gym with lots of different classes. Alternatively, have a swim in their indoor/outdoor pool or play some tennis. With an outdoor course that you can tackle to keep yourself on your toes and a kids play area to keep them busy you won't run out of things to do. A great view of Shepherds Bush cricket ground too!

The facilities are ok (but no better than the average gym), it’s only a little overcrowded (certainly no feel of exclusivity that you get at most other David Lloyd gyms), and the changing rooms are “ok” clean (not great but the local leisure centre would be happy with this), however the customer service is awful. These failings might be acceptable if it were cheaper, but for nearly £200 per month membership, this is unforgivable. There is no way to contact a real person to discuss an issue, particularly a serious one such as being overcharged for membership. Expect to be ignored once they have your money. I have already terminated my membership for this reason.

  • 3/5 Laila 2 years ago on Google
Nice but nothing special! And the membership card is too expensive!

I've emailed them asking for the membership prices, but they've kept offering me to visit them first When I've explained that I want to join anyway, but I would just like to get some information on the prices, they've responded: "Completely understand where your coming from. We just invite you down to the club to create a membership around your lifestyle. If this is something you are unable to do at the moment, I would love to invite you down in the future." Thank you for understanding, but you're not helping, nobody's got time for visits. Really annoying We currently have some limited offers that expire soon. I hope you have a lovely day. NOBODY CONTACTED MY AFTER YOUR REPLY TO MY REVIEW

Well, i like the coaches as they never missing as the one in Chigwell who don't consider to come to the lessons The cleanliness in the bathrooms sometimes a bit dirty But the staff always helpful 😃 The only thing I would like is to make a notice in the SPA as a lot of times when need to relax some men consider to talk loud and laugh so loud disturbing the others I don't mind to socialize next to the pool but i consider that aroma spa should be something for relaxation not for socializing and disturbing the others with their loud noise Just please consider

Me and my girlfriend have recently joined the club. So far we have found it to be an excellent experience. We both really enjoy the swimming and Sauna/outdoor Jacuzzi experience . We particularly find all the staff to be really friendly . We haven't met all the staff yet but Imran always goes out of his way to give a warm welcome and I have personally enjoyed my one to one sessions with Anthony and Benedict who are both very friendly and helped me so much. I would definitely recommend the club to anyone.

Really good David Lloyd, better than most in the area. Well equipped, spacious gym. Great outside pool and spa area. Staff were kind enough to tell me where to go as it’s not my home one, definitely worth it! Almost as good as Raynes Park!

Fantastic atmosphere, great facilities, and receptionist Mel is an absolute star. It was very busy when we arrived, Mel still managed to provide a fantastic personal service. We could borrow tennis rackets and helped my guest without a membership check in.

Gym facilities are good. Staff are great. The heated outdoor pool and spa make the place stand out. However, the real hidden gem is the general manager who goes over and beyond to ensure costumer gratification and her positive energy resonates throughout the gym when she is there.

  • 4/5 Jenni J. 6 months ago on Google
Little hidden gem for the elite. Hate the changing rooms too open and if you are a visitor like I was you don't want to pay £6 fora padlock for a few hours. Like the outdoor jacuzzi, pool and steam n sauna rooms. Food good also although had to send it back, poached eggs should not be hard. Would go again as a guest.

Awful awful awful I wouldn’t recommend joining the Acton club, if you really want to join David Lloyd. Join another club. The staff here are really bad and useless and don’t bother with their customers. The customer service agent Hannah Jones is a liar and she will make your membership without giving you vital information. She joined me and my husband and my 2 children on a diamond membership and told us we had a 4 week thinking period and when we wanted to cancel our membership at the end of the 3 week mark. She would avoid answering calls, she wouldn’t speak to me on the phone and she started avoiding my emails and she would put obstacles so I couldn’t reach the manager and I felt like she was deleting my emails as the staff have direct access to the email address. The manager is very invisible in this club. You can’t hear of him and he is also never available in the club if you ever want to speak to the manager. Forget about it. Hannah had told us we can also cancel the membership and we will get a full refund but we didn’t. You get charged for the days you used the gym. She had also mentioned you can freeze your membership but she forgot to mention the small discrepancy charge of 25% off your membership will still be charged monthly. It’s all a scam. They are so untuned to making commission off making memberships they don’t really care here at Acton. If there were 0 star rating I would have pressed on that option. Horrible staff and now I’m actually stuck with this gym and I will continue to spread a bad word of mouth for this specific staff the manager who never gets back in touch and this club in all till I am here.

The crowd of tennis enthusiasts is so lively; they keep us entertained on and off the court. And Bridie, our tennis head coach, she's like the fairy godmother of the tennis world, magically organised events that are as fun as they are competitive. The tennis facilities are great and all coaches are absolutely lovely! David Lloyd isn't just my gym; it's my social club, my hangout spot, and my happy place all rolled into one. I'm never leaving this place – they'd have to evict me to get me out! 🎾😄

Awareness: David Lloyd's "free trial" is a LIE! Canceling? Forget it! When I realized this "trial" was more like a financial ambush, I tried to cancel within the timeframe. But did they honor their "guaranteed refund"? Nada. My membership fee vanished faster than a magician's rabbit, and automatic charges kept leeching onto my credit card like hungry vampires. Communication blackout: My attempts to contact them? Ghosted. Emails? Disappeared into the void. Phone calls? Met with empty promises and excuses. But I'm not alone! A quick Google search reveals a chorus of victims sharing similar experiences. Don't become another number on their "scam scoreboard". Spread the word! Share this review (and others) and warn your friends and family. Let's shut down this "trial" by fire – a fire of awareness! P.S. Report them if it happen with you! request numbers: 1478325 / 1456364 / 1399001

Recently joined David Lloyd Acton Park and attended a few sessions. Adrianna from the sales team took great care of us arranging everything and showing us around. Charlie called to arrange my 3 free personal training sessions. The swimming pool was heated and clean. The showers and locker rooms were spot on. There's all activities that you can possibly think of! Glad we have joined

I met Hannah, who give me a tour of the club. She made feel very welcomed and she was brilliant in showing me around and point out the best of the club and what would interest me more. Also, she was exceptional in helping me choose the right type of membership according to my fitness goals and budget. I was impressed by the positive vibes, fast and clear answers to all my questions, cleanliness of the club, well equipped gym and specially spa area with outdoor / indoor swimming pool/ jacuzzi and sauna/wet room. Can’t wait to grab a bite and a healthy smoothie in the restaurant after a good workout followed by a couple of hours of computer work in the quiet study lounge area with views over the tennis field. Couldn’t recommend Hannah more for her professionalism, guidance and help.
