Passed by for a coffee, staff were so friendly we stayed for a spontaneous bowl. Both of us hadn't bowled for years, we had loads of fun and managed a few strikes between us. Good price/quality balans, clean, lively, cheered me right up.

Good place to have a break. Staff is always available and friendly. Staff although didn't show up to take food and beverages order after calling from the tablet in the lane. The service at the bar was anyway good quick and easy. Place was clean and there was a noce atmosphere. Will definitely visit again soon.

This place has enough parking space. A good place for different activities with your children. Just have enough coins at hand, and plus, there's also a machine that changes note to coins. I enjoyed bowling too.

The bowling experience was fantastic. The vibrant atmosphere, coupled with friendly staff, created an enjoyable outing. Disappointed with the cleanliness. Highly recommended for both casual and serious bowlers alike!

Went bowling as a part of an SYP group practise. Loved it! Managed to bond well and it was fun.. even if I'm horrible at bowling. The staff were lovely and there was no wait time. Toilets were (mostly) clean, only 1 stall was a bit iffy, but arguably that's not so bad. Amazing experience.

Cheap cheerful fun that makes it one of my go-tos with their offers! However their bar is extremely slow especially when they serve ready made cocktails, I waited 10 minutes as one person made our two drinks while another person was not really doing much which ate into our small amount of allotted time which could be improved on drastically after already waiting a little while in the reception queue! Otherwise it’s a great time and the bowling works extremely well and the photo background is a fun added extra 😊

Bowling was excellent, staff polite and friendly. The arcade is Brilliant, the kids prefer this arcade over many. They have the basket ball game, Mario driving game, then another driving game where the car moves, VR motor bike racing and so much more. Weekends are more busy, loads of free parking outside.

Great place for young children in particular! Took my best friend and 6 year old son here for the first time. He absolutely loved bowling, we had drinks and played various games at the mini arcade there! Used his tickets to get some prizes and two ladies at the till were so incredibly friendly and polite. I wish I got their names! They're a credit to the place! 5/5 would recommend!

Place is nice however flooring isn’t well enough so balls might come back to center even if they were going to side. It makes the game easier. I think it is good for families. Screens are good so you can see anything about the scores. I love how we can put a photo to score screen. It’s not necessary but it is a good one. I saw there is a VIP side but haven’t played yet. Probably that side is better cause no kids no families etc. Beverage and food menu is good enough. You can eat and drink while you’re having fun. On the other hand toilets are dirtier than you can imagine. Someone needs to clean the toilets…

It was very busy but we had a pretty good time. We ordered some food using QR code and was advised that there would be a 45 minute wait - this didn’t turn out to be true (bowl of chips came within 5 minutes). No need to hire shoes which was nice. Good selection of arcade / fairground games but two of the basketball hoop games were broken unfortunately.

A great Sunday afternoon with the family. This place has improved so much since we started going here around 8 years ago. The food is a lot better, the games in the arcade and the overall service have stepped up. Super efficient few hours fun to be had as a family of 4 and good value too. Free parking is a bonus!

My family and I have been going to this branch for a very long time. This used to be a wonderful place to bowl and really decent prices too. Now they are constantly understaffed, staff look unbothered and too overwhelmed to be helping anyone, I’ve ordered drinks twice and never received them- had to be refunded, lanes are full of other people’s rubbish, sticky and really horrible toilets. Overall a mess of a bowling experience, I would avoid if possible.

Brought my students here. We were told that our food, that we pre ordered, will be ready at 4 40 when we finish bowling. Staff seemed confident and organised. At 4 40 there was no food, they told us it would be 10 minutes but it ended up being 25 min later. There were no drinks that were part of the order until we asked for it. While we were waiting we couldn't play because our game was stopped at 4 40. There were only a few people except us and I was surprised no one paid attention to our order as we were a group of 22 and only one eating there at that time. I had to call the school to inform parents that students will be late from their trip.

Fun family day out. Great for adults and children all ages. Lots of game machines to win tickets, which can be exchanged for toys or candies, virtual games plus bowling. Lots to choices with for and drink. Alcohol served in bar plus pool tables.

Decently priced, great bar options, great night out with friends or family. Only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the lack of staff there (which I understand is a problem everywhere) so the lanes aren't cleaned between groups. Lots of fun and definetly recommend.

The pool table we were playing on was leaning, as soon as the one next door was empty we moved there but it was still in bad shape, everything needs repair. Several of the staff weren't very polite and seemed to dislike what they were doing. The tables around us still had food and drinks from the previous ones and as long as we sat there no one cleaned them. However we enjoyed the rest of the games.I have visited this bowling place before which we also enjoyed

It’s your standard bowling layout, system shuts down don’t give you a chance to finish the game could have been disabled or elderly person. Due to some PR company or some sort booking the venue management decided to kick every one out in the rain. How ever when complaint was made manager gave us free go next time we visit which was nice of them And also apologised for the way we were treated but it was beyond them. I am reluctant to visit again.

Always a good time at Hollywood bowl Surrey Quays, the bowling is always fun and never had any issues. Staff are always friendly and happy to help. The arcade has lots of up to date and newer games and it’s always a fun little visit. The food isn’t that bad however I had one bad experience with a undercooked burger, but that was one time out of countless that I have visited so very much a one off experience. The pricing is really good and it’s the best local bowling alley around the SE London area.

Have been here a few times now, and good value for money. The Sunday deals are quite good. Bowling lane and bar also v good.

I've been going here since I was young and I've always had a good time. The whole location is good vibes. I can with my boys for a snooker game and some drinks and it was fun. I've been bowling and to the arcade in the past and I've never had any issues.

I come here regularly. I previously would have given a lower rating however since visiting other local Hollywood bowls, I have to say this one is my favourite. Some criticisms I have is that the arcade machines always seem to be broken. At any given time, 30% of the machines are defective or closed for repairs/maintenance. Of the remaining machines, very rarely do they operate without issues; such as missing rewards or faulty turns. During busy times the staff are clearly overworked and miserable. I cant blame them personally as I appreciate that with all the faulty machines, it must be difficult to tend to every customer issue. Although there is one girl Mollie; who I've always had a pleasant experience with. There is another young man who is equally as pleasant but I don't have his name, he is always happy to help, although he is clearly spread quite thin during busy times. It is my observation that the floor staff are the ones holding the fort and even during busy times it's rare to see a supervisor or manager actually contribute to anything other than gossip at the till. The way that they speak to the floor staff is not always pleasant. I've never had any issues with the bowling lanes it's always been smooth sailing and I really like the new renovations to the lanes. The WiFi and service is not very good in some lanes though. The diner staff are usually pretty friendly and the food is decent for a bowling alley; although a little pricey it's nice to able able to order food to your lane. All in all, I would recommend

I’ve been there twice now and had such a great time not just the bowling but they also have a great arcade game section, I think the kids had a good time too!

Good bowling spot. We had a great female server who was efficient with the service. Daytime, toilets are clean. Night time... shocking! Could literally ice skate to the cubicle. Could do with regular cleans in the evening. Apart from that, good spot.

Went and met up with a group of friends, atmosphere was excellent, food was good, the customer service was brilliant and we all loved it.. Would definitely recommend it and would definitely go again...

A nice place for a few games of bowling. It's clean, they serve you drinks at the lane. There's an arcade area, bar and place to eat. The price is good (second game is less than half price) and as it has lots of lanes you don't normally have to book in advance.

Reasonable price for bowling and drinks. We played 3 games of bowling there. They have huge car park and free of charge for max 5 hours. Will definitely come again.

A good price for a fun and family-friendly experience. It’s been improved over the years with new tech and more privacy. Staff have always been friendly and available, whether busy times or deathly quiet like this midweek visit. We initially thought we’d been given a VIP lane as it was nice and clean, private with a touch screen experience. It turns out that’s standard and the main difference seems to be sofas and more space. The touch screen is easy to use, though do make sure you don’t accidentally choose ‘1 bowler’ thinking that you’re choosing the first bowler, it’s the total number. You then take a group selfie but it’s unclear why/where that displays. Resetting pins is easy (no need to call a manager) and likewise bumpers. There are two seating areas at either end both with bars but the snooker tables are on the Western end. There’s an arcade inbetween (works on 10ps with a change machine) that wraps around a Bingo hall that you might accidentally walk into. It’s bright and varied but not as garish or loud as you might expect - though the bowling makes up for the latter. If you’re an educator (school or home ed) call in advance to take advantage of special pricing. If not though it’s pretty good and there are pre-bookable offers like a drink and two rounds of bowling (ideal imho). Food is reasonably priced, with standard drinks and alcoholic beverages (think Wetherspoons) which can be ordered to your lane. There’s a big shared carpark, good toilets and the whole place is accessible. Also lots of ‘bowling frames’ to help those who can’t throw a bowling ball. We’d go again without a thought, a couple quick rounds it might even be a plan to couple with a movie next door at the Odeon or a shopping trip to Surrey Quays.

Went here for my daughters birthday and it was absolutely disgusting! We were in the VIP section and it stank of beer, there were empty cups and wrappers everywhere, one of the employees came along after 30mins and took them away during our game however it was still stinking, I asked for a refund and they told me to write down my name and number and someone will contact me and they never did. Would not recommend going to Hollywood bowl in Surrey Quays!!!! Absolute pig stye.

I used to work here, and it's sad to see how far downhill this place has gone. I used to work at this spot ages ago, and it's just not the same. The staff look exhausted and overworked. The arcade felt so empty and lifeless. Machines are either MIA or out of commission, and the bar? Half-empty fridges and no Coke on tap (Which I paid for to then be asked "Is a bottle okay?", which I had no choice at that point). The lanes are a mess too. Balls are all over the place, You'll spend a lot of time looking on other lanes for a ball that's right for you. The pins are held up by string which caused A LOT of inaccuracies to our game last night like false readings for the amount of pins hit. Plus, the music setup is wonky – only one end of the lanes gets any music, and our lane was basically silent. The whole vibe felt off and kinda empty last night. Hoping it was a one-time thing. On the upside, the little bit of food we got was tasty, the bowling deal was a decent price, and the receptionist was quite friendly and helpful. Still, it's a shame to see things slide so much. Back in 2015, this place was on point. Not sure if it's a money thing or a management issue, but it's definitely not in its prime anymore. The O2 site down the road seems to be giving it a run for its money. This place means a lot to me, and it was tough seeing it in such a state last night. Fingers crossed it was just a fluke, but it's hard to ignore the fact that things have taken a massive nosedive.
