What a shame! From one of the best to something I would not recommend. Masala fish was oily. Butter chicken wasn’t Butter chicken, when we complained the man took it away and bought back the same dish with just some extra butter mixed in. The food wasn’t fresh! All reheated. The best thing of the evening was the salad and even that’s not free unlike everywhere else in Tooting. Spice Village Team. I understand you have issues on opening weekends. However you had too many staff trying to run the restaurant. The man at the door is just rude. Your not running an establishment that needs security at the door. I would suggest you need to sit down and think about a few things. On the upside you have done an amazing job of making the restaurant look outstanding. You need to concentrate on the quality of food. And need to get rid of the guy at the front door.

Quality food that doesn't break the bank in a fancy setting. It's great for celebration or just a nice night out. We enjoyed the food but perhaps we were expecting a bit more. Thanks Satnam for the great service!

Had an amazing time here! Felt very looked after by all the staff. The food was delicious and the drinks were creatively delivered to our table, it kept us looking forward to more. Lots of vegetarian options too. I recommend this place for hang outs but also for birthdays because they really pulled out the stops when they brought out the cake. Good parking in the area also.

In my opinion spent whatever money they had on the aesthetics so if you want to to take a picture with the flower wall then you're in the right place BUT if you actually care about what you eat then avoid at all costs. The food was atrocious, you can get better from your local takeaway and eat in the comfort of your home. I'm staying away and would recommend everyone else to do so too. Got the butter chicken and it was flavourless, extremely creamy and undercooked. The samosa chaat wasn't much better but i do applaud them for the way they cooked the chanay. Got a few more dishes but to be honest had a few bites of each and it was terrible. After experiencing this from such an established place I paid and complained to the manager and his response was 'you eat your mother's, sisters or wife's cooking because you have to but this, THIS is real food'. Smh, I left the food and went down the road to a local takeaway which served better flavoursome food.

We went for dinner, Service was excellent, our server Satnam took great care of us and was very attentive. We enjoyed the food the grilled tandoori King Prawns were delicious. I just wish the Afghan lamb had more meat and less bones but it was a lovely dish.

Very nice restaurant 10/10!! Beautiful layout you’ll definitely enjoy being here. Unfortunately, downside was that there’s no baby changing area and accessibility was a challenge as there wasn’t a ramp access or lift if you wanted to go upstairs. Overall, experience is very nice. Like a 5 star restaurant minus accessibility, food tasted lovely. Staff were very nice and welcoming, very professional and service was very quick. Music playing in the background was very current overall, I’ll definitely go back again but with no pushchair(luckily I left it in the car. Parking around the area is free from 5.30pm Monday-Saturday

AMAZING STAFF AND FOOD!! Decor is soo lovely and Instagram worthy. All staff are welcoming and helpful - and are always checking if everything is okay. Food was incredible as-well as the price! Me and my friend loved every bite of the food. We spent £30 each, including service charge. We are already planning on when to go again! Highly recommend this place!! It will not disappoint!

Food was really tasty and full of flavour. Loved the butter chicken with the pilau rice. Would definitely recommend as the service was brilliant too. Was a long time waiting for the food which was the only down side of the evening.

Beautiful interior. Food was tasted and nice however portion sizes were really small. It has not hit his own car parking however had to find parking on the neighbouring streets and it was a struggle. Will come back if I’m in the area.

Decor: 9/10 Food: 7.5/10 Service: 5/10 Starters: Poppadoms 3pcs: £2 Pani Puri 6pcs: £5.99 Lamb Chops 5pcs: £9.99 Mains: Saag Gosht: £9.99 Roti: £1.60 each Naan: £1.60 each Chicken Tikka Biryani: £9.99 The decor and vibes were very good. They have spent a tonne of money and the food is just as good as Southall branch but definitely a more premium dining experience. The service was not the best. The waiters are not very helpful. I found myself asking four times for the same thing and had to keep reminding the staff what I was still waiting for. We had asked for the starters to come first but one of our starters had turned up after the mains had come and this is after I had to remind them. I expected alot better. Premium dining experience without the cost.

Fabulous decor, fantastic drinks / food presentation, along with great flavourful food. Our eyes was bigger then our belly & we ordered a lot of food. Starters samosa and onion bhaji wasn’t that great however everything else was amazing we got lamb chops, chicken wings, prawns, chicken curry, rice , 2 types of bread, non alcoholic cocktails and milkshakes. Staff wasn't 100% helpful I asked for help pushing in my sons seat in, he didn’t even try & gave up to which I had to do it myself with a bad hand, towards the end of our meal it felt a little rush with staff hovering over us to pack the food up, pay and leave nevertheless we had a great time & would 100% come back.

The last time I came was a few years ago when it was near Tooting Back Station, and this time I came here to eat curry with my kids. Now, the location has changed to somewhere between Tooting Bec Station and Tooting Broadway Station. The interior seems to be more luxurious than before. We were worried because we didn't have a reservation, but fortunately there were 2 empty tables so we were able to sit down and eat our food right away without waiting. Overall, the taste of the food has not changed much from before, but the dishes and pots have become more luxurious and the portion size has become smaller. And I was a little disappointed that there was no egg in the chicken biryani. The food is still delicious. I'll go back to eat it again soon.

A very busy restaurant but plenty of seats so the waiting time ain't bad. Must say beautiful decor. Drinks good selection of mocktails. Food, has a variety of dishes and is reasonably priced. Overall the food was decent and enjoyable, a good portion also. A good place to go with a big family or friends group.

Venue: Spice Village, Tooting Date of Visit: 09/12/2023 This is a fair balanced review for consideration. I remember Spice Village when it was quite new to the scene. The masala fish was excellent and it was clear that the restaurant was an upcoming big name, which it achieved. Upon our arrival we had around 20 minutes wait before being seated as it was busy. They kindly accommodated for my mother's needs. The menu itself is rather small to be honest, I felt there needed to be more variety of dishes. Popadoms and salad should be complimentary,. especially for orders of our size, like other restaurants offer. Our Order: Poppadoms Salad Masala Fish Mixed Grill Lamb Balti Channa Masala 5 Roti 2 Bottled drinks Our dishes arrived in reasonable time. I do however feel that Spice Village reputation is dare I say, making the owners resort to money-grabbing arrogance. The total paid was quite higher than nearby restaurants that are excellent and similar in standard/quality. They also included a ridiculous 15% Service charge on top yet nowhere else we have been asks for this. Total was around £94. I'm regrettably going to have to knock of a star of the final review score due to their pricing/charges. If you have money to splash and do not mind, the food is excellent. However, In the future, I'll be choosing Dawat and Lahore Karahi (both local) over Spice Village which offer far better value for money and are of similar quality (if not better). 4 Stars

Second visit here. There are hundreds of restaurants in this area and as a visitor to London I usually like to try new places, but Spice Village is so good that I came back. Fantastic service from Aksa and all the staff. The menu is full of recognisable dishes, but they all seem to be elevated way above the usual standard. Wonderful glitzy interior - a great place to celebrate anything. On some occasions in the past when I have dined solo I have been made to feel as if I am something of a nuisance for taking up a whole table, but here I felt welcomed and valued. A great experience.

This is my first time at Spice Village Tooting .We enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They keep coming and investigating if we need anything else. Chicken biriyani was yummy, Overall experience was good.  Lovely decor and for the food and presentation i would say 9/10 😀. Would recommend to family and friends they have nice variety of desserts to try.

The restaurant itself is gorgeous, food is great been going here for ages and my favourite is definitely the butter chicken with butter naan. Satnam was a great server and honestly I fully recommend this place for all occasions.

The easiest thing in the world for a retail /restaurant business to do is making it physically attractive which spice village have achieved . Everything else isn’t as easy . Unhelpful/bordering rude doorman . Classic case of waiters not having any kind of customer service understanding, this I find is true of most restaurants of this type regardless of the quality of the food . My tip (not monetary!) is focus as hard on service as you did on decor and you may get better reviews

Lovely interior, good fast service. Presentation was on point. My veggie curry was a small portion and lacked a bit of depth and the breads were not as soft. Drinks, starters and everything else was lovely though.

Attended spice village on 26 February 2022 with my husband. We waited 50mins was was not too bad. There could have been more seating to wait. The staff were helpful. However there is a large Muslim community whom attends the restaurant including myself and my husband. The downside there was music playing, and this was of an explicit nature. There were children in the restaurant with their family whilst this was playing. This establishment does not require music as the restaurant speaks volumes by itself. The food was wonderful although could have been heated more temperature wise.

Impeccable taste, hard to believe you would get such authentic taste in London. Tastes even better than half of the food in Pakistan itself! M. Ghani was the friendliest server and incredibly helpful in helping us choose the food, and had the best hospitality.

Had seen this restaurant on tik tok and had to try. Wow what beautiful decor, west end upmarket ambience in the heart of tooting. Very friendly managers and a lovely young girl who made our whole experience fun. Lamb biryani was delicious, highly recommend. Chicken tikka biryani nice too but not enough chicken.Kebab roll was super tasty. Mango Lassi lovely but could have been colder .Finished off with my favourite Faluda, 😋Prices very reasonable, will defo be going back soon.

Lovely evening spent in Spice village. The restaurant was quite busy when we visited however we didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes for a table. The service was great too. The food itself was very tasty and authentic. The dynamite chicken was delicious so was the papri chaat, in my opinion the chicken wings lacked flavour but were cooked nicely. Mains we got the afghani chicken and it didn't disappoint although it was slightly oily, the lamb biryani we didn't enjoy, although the lamb was cooked nicely it didn't taste too good. The drinks were really nice I'd definitely recommend the blue lagoon. Prices were a little above average and didn't reflect the portion sizes, especially the curry we ordered. Overall we would definitely visit again and look forward to trying the other curries and items from the menu.

If you are in Tooting and want an authentic Pakistani cuisine experience then Spice Village is a very good choice. The restaurant was busy and appeared to be a popular choice. We had a reservation and on arrival were seated immediately. A wide ranging menu which should satisfy all customers. The food is extremely well presented and packed with flavour. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food however portion sizes could be a little larger. Following our order food was served in a reasonable time considering all items were prepared fresh. The staff are polite and attentive. Our waitress in particular (Aqsa) was lovely - attentive, actively engaged and was happy to make recommendations. She added to our overall experience and if I was to visit Spice Village again I would want her to manage our table again. Overall a very experience and would happily visit again when in Tooting Town.

Food 10, decor 10 and service 10! Everything was amazing and Ashar was so lovely and his service was fantastic. The staff are so welcoming, never seen this lovely service somewhere else. I can’t wait to come back.

"The chicken tikka masala could have been more flavorful with a stronger spice profile, as it felt a bit bland. However, the chicken biryani stood out with its delicious and aromatic flavors. The fries were tasty but a tad oily. As for the Blue Lagoon mocktail, it was delightful and definitely worth trying."
