The restaurant itself was lovely. Very welcoming, warm and friendly. I ordered a mixed kebab with rice n salad. Way too much meat which was quite dry and gristly, tiny rice portion and I'm still waiting 4 my salad!!! Cocktails were lovely though.

This place needs no introduction. I fancied some Turkish with the boys, so we went out. It would’ve been unacceptable if we didn’t get some of the trad starters: hummus, lahmachun and calamari. As for the mains, we got the full platter. Naturally, we got baklava and kunefe for desserts. I went for the pink breeze mocktail. The hummus was pretty damn nice - creamy and smooth texture with a lot of flavour: chickpeas, garlic, lemon and olive oil, topped off with some pomegranates. That was a nice touch. The bread served was also soft, which made it moreish (beware - if you devour too much at the beginning you will struggle to finish anything later!). The lahmachun was delicious - paper thin base which was soft yet crispy, and the seasoned mince was just so succulent and bursting with the flavours. I could’ve had 5 of those alone. The fried calamari was nice - the breaded costing was a little bit too golden for my liking, but the meat itself was very tasty, especially with the garlic mayo sauce. Now the full platter is a mammoth feast - everything about it was phenomenal. All meats cooked beautifully, although the doners were the exception (being tough for my liking). My only conundrum was that this dish defeated the 3 of us - if there’s 4-6 people, I’d say this is a sensible platter to purchase; otherwise, especially if you’re getting starters and dessert - it’ll be a tough task to crack. The baklava was so fresh and incredible - paper thin filo, well sweetened and balanced with the pistachio (crushed). The kunefe was my favourite, however. It was super crispy and the cheese contrasted it very well, with a healthy balance of sweet and savoury. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, tending to every need and preserving a lovely atmosphere. The establishment itself is pretty big, so there’s a lot of space and the layout is good. It has a nice decor and vibe which really adds life to the place. It is quite a pricey spot, nonetheless, so it’s not something I’d be popping out for on the regs - the portions of the starters could be larger, imho. As I said at the start - Gokyuzu is infamous and it’s evident as to why they are. 9/10.

Not impressed with the food at all. As you can see in the pictures the food looks very well presented. The main dish 'Sarma Tavuk Beyti' was not nice at all. It's minced chicken wrapped in a thin flat bread. The chicken did not taste good, it was not cooked all the way through and also tasted like it was not fresh. The complimentary bread and salad was nice along with the bulgar rice. I would not recommend at all. The place next door called Hala has much better quality food and their service is way better too. I went there a while ago and didn't realise it was next to this place.

Overall pretty good. The meats were cooked superbly. I can't fault the team working the grill and on the donners. There were just a few things that took the edge of the overall experience that stopped me giving them a 5. The bread wasn't good, really stodgy and slightly on the stale side. They'd warmed it up to room temperature which didn't really help, had it been hot it might have improved it. We asked if we could swap the rice with one of the mains for chips and were told abruptly no! Not the end of the world, but it's a fairly common request that most of these types of establishment accommodate especially given that rice and chips are the exact same price on their menu. The salad they do is excellent but the dressing they cover it with is very sweet it almost tasted like a dessert. I'd definitely ask for it to be left out or on the side. Depending on your pallet. The décor is decent and the place is clean but when it fills up which it often does it's really hard to hold a conversation due to the noise levels. The acoustics were an after thought when they did the interior. That being said I wouldn't let any of these gripes stop me going back. I did like it, I just didn't like everything. It's a popular place for a reason.

First time back since the refurbishment. We loved this place. The food was great. We went for the full platter and struggled to finish it. The service wasn't bad. One of the waiters was very attentive. But, none of the female waitresses smiled or made any eye contact. They looked unhappy as if they didn't want to be there. It didn't stop us having a good time, and we will definitely be back.

I have been eating here for years for and I cannot fault this place. Sometimes for family birthdays too. The service, food and drink is always good. We always get the meat platter which is yummy and filling. But recently I ordered something different, which was the Moussaka and it was so yummy!! So I recommend anything from the menu.

Really enjoyed the selections here. The Mixed Platter was delicious and the wait for the food wasn’t long. The chicken was good but the lamb portions were the star of the platter. The colorful mixed salad was the perfect side, and the passionfruit mojito was one of the best mocktails I’ve had. Overall, a cool spot for Turkish food.

Amazing food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere!! 5* all round. Best food I've had in a long time. Food was full of flavour from the meats down to the bread, right down to the salad!! Definitely will be returning. Ambience was perfect, at 1 point they dimmed the lights and it just made the dining experience even more pleasant. Looks like your average Turkish restaurant but I promise you it's more than that. Finished off perfectly with a nice cup of complementary Turkish tea to aid digestion! Had to come back again. This time I made space for dessert!

Came here for Valentine’s Day and was not disappointed at all!! Me and my partner ordered a share platter and as soon as our order was made we was presented with a complimentary salad and bread and the best tasting hummus. I could’ve just had that for dinner, I promise. Our food came in no long time and it was so delicious. It’s a huge platter of food that says feeds two, but could probably feed more. We really enjoyed the food. We also order cocktails which tasted excellent. We really enjoyed our time here. The service was great, no complaints whatsoever.

Very nice food and service. I ordered the filo pastry but it never said on the menu what the purple sauce was. Anyone know what the purple sauce in my picture is?

Food is outstanding! The king prawns are fresh and scrumptious. And you must try the traditional dessert, ‘Kunefe’ so yummy! It’s a shame I didn’t take any more pictures. However, I give this place 10/10✨

The food was really good. Service was quite good too. Only it seemed a bit on the over priced side given the location and dearth of other good Turkish restaurants all around. Otherwise great fining experience. The kunafa was really good. The appetizer Manti also very nicely done. Loved the Adana special.

Honestly one of the tastiest and juiciest Chicken Kebabs I’ve ever had. Can also highly recommend the falafel main dish. The restaurant is very big and well decorated, and the service is very attentive. Only downside is that it is a tad over priced , and what’s with charging £5.50 for a large bottle of water?! Our fault for ordering it without consulting the menu but for sure will be sticking to tap water next time, because that price is just insane.

I've been here twice, and both times the food is really good and flavorful. Especially the ribs. It seems authentic, the service is pretty good, the bathrooms are clean. Try the Souvien Blanc white wine, it's not bitter at all, from Chile.

Wonderful Turkish restaurant; their Lahmacun is the best in London (10/10). I visited the place few times over the years; however and without fail, they keep rushing us to over order, eat, and leave. As much as I like the food, I hate the staff attitude.

A top pick among Turkish restaurants; the food is fantastic, making it a definite recommendation. The service is impressively swift, perhaps even a bit too speedy at times.

Very nice staff, very polite, treat you like royalty! The food here is delicious and likely to fill you up for the best 3 days. As soon as my friend and I walked in, we were greeted warmly. Very quickly after sitting down, we are provided with warm bread and a big salad bowl. This is important to note because I've been to other places and waited 10 minutes for bread and salad to arrive! The meal was substantial and our bill came to approximately £24 for 2 people.

Some of the best Turkish food in London. Not expensive like some of the places in Soho however, just as good. You won't leave hungry ever, unless you order wrong. Mixed grill platter for 2 a winner.

I visited here on a Sunday afternoon after reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Google. My experience aligned with what others have shared. I was very quickly seated, and all of the staff with whom I interacted were friendly. The portions are very generous - I was given a sizable bowl of salad, along with tzatziki yogurt and a basket of pita bread slices. The hummus was nicely presented - albeit, a bit too acidic. I ordered the lamb chops with rice. So much food that I ended up taking about half of it home! At the end of the meal, my waitress kindly treated me to a cup of Turkish tea. Great visit, and I will surely be returning.

The quality of the food here is really good. The portions are so huge, even I couldn't eat everything in my plate! Overall the service was okay but I do wish servers would return and check if we needed anything more regularly. Since we were off to the theatre, we were concerned about the long wait for the table to be cleared and to order desserts.

Great. Love the food. Great service and such a nice place. Easy to get to and situated in a nice area on Green Lanes. First time there with friends, love Turkish food, portions are great, make sure you're hungry when you go, eat laugh and eat more. Nice decor, staff very friendly. Family friendly too.

All the dishes were really tasty and felt like authentic Turkish food. The portions are incredibly generous, 1 dish is even too much for 1 person so don’t hesitate to share 2 for 3 p. I didn’t find it was out-of-this world type of food, as in you will get similar tastes in many other places in London, but it is such good value for money that I have to give 5 stars.
