A friend recommended we come here and now I see why. Now full disclosure, I'm a sweet tooth so I was already sold on the concept but they also do savoury dishes so there's something for everyone. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the decor is worth a few snaps. We found the staff to be friendly and very helpful but you probably want to know about the food, right? It was delicious 😋. I was upset about the fact I could not try everything in their massive menu of sweet and savoury pancakes, sides, waffles and other treats. You immediately know you have to come back because unless you have infinite space in your belly, you can't have it all, which isn't such a bad thing, as it's such a lovely experience. That said, bear in mind while they do have typical sides like chips etc, most dishes are batter-based, so if that's just too sweet for you this is a excellent place to come for an after-dinner/breakfast treat. All that said, I cannot wait to return and finish what I started! Five stars! ✨

I have to say that My Old Dutch perhaps make the best pancakes I have ever tasted. Now that may seem like an exaggeration but almost everything is perfect about their butterscotch pancakes. Incredibly tasty and sweet (perfect sweetness) and portions sizes are decently big. Not terribly expensive but definitely worth the price.

Stopped by for some brunch for 1, it's a lovely place, staff very friendly. Beautiful waitress with the sweetest voice, makeup was absolutely stunning, added a touch of glam to the restaurant. Will definitely be back to try other options. Had the vegan pancakes with blueberries, strawberries 🍓 & coconut 🥥 very tasty & huge. Got very busy, decor was a lovely mix of old & new.

A great variety of pancakes from sweet to savoury, there are options for everyone. You can even create your one. Loved my pancake, at the beginning it looks so thin but it's so big and stuffed, that is more than enough. The ingredients looked all fresh. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. The décor, in my opinion, is the only downside, it looks so artificial with all the plastic flowers. Recommended.

Pretty good, the pancakes were authentic, and the hot chocolate tasted nice. The savoury pancakes were new to me, and it sis bit disappoint. Only thing is a Korean girl from the table next to mine was talking quite loudly on the phone. I would appreciate it if she wore headphones and spoke quieter. The food, service etc was really good though.

Fantastic crepes and a vast menu of choices, both savory and sweet. We tried the Nutella crepe, the smoked salmon crepe, and the butterscotch pancakes. All were delightful and worth trying. The service was OK, nothing bad but nothing exceptional. The feeling inside was sterile but adequate. For the food, we would most certainly return.

Can’t say I really recommend this place much. I enjoyed the nachos and fries, however the cheese sauce didn’t have much flavor but was enjoyable nonetheless. I found the sides better than the pancakes themselves. I had the American style pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon and it was quite tasteless. The bacon didn’t taste of much, the eggs were undercooked and the pancakes were also tasteless. Perhaps they just lack in the American pancake area. But it was £17 for that and didn’t feel deserved at all, I’ve had much better for £5 and even better when I make them myself at home. Service was great and the servers were nice. Atmosphere and overall appearance of the place is gorgeous.

Had seafood and butterscotch pancake with berries, both were equally delicious but I would definitely recommend the sweet pancakes. I ordered banana pancakes but they gave me berries instead. Since I already took a huge bite and the pancakes were delicious I didn't complain but hopefully next time I come the waiter gets the order right. Love the ambience, great for photos!

So, first of all wanna say that I was extremely lucky with the waitress, she was one of the nicest and smiley people I have met. On my receipt said Georgia, so I hope it’s her name as I forgot to ask. Second of all, the place is very lovely. I appreciate the little flowers on the table, even though they are fake, but I like how they complete the look of the table. Then , the nutella pancake. 🙀 delicious. I love that nutella was on the side. So I could decide how to spread it on pancake and also the quantity. I also ordered flat white. Was really delicious and the right temperature. Have to mention that both coffee and pancake were served very fast. Coffee arrived a bit earlier. But the time gap between drink and food was insignificant. Place and service and food was all 10/10 for me today. Total bill 13.33 gbp. Including service. I think its very fair as it kept me full for many hours.

This place was a delight to dine at. The staff were very friendly and the food was brought out in a timely manner, even at a busy time. I went for the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon pancake. The eggs were perfectly done. I also had a vanilla vegan milkshake which tasted very good. The pancakes are quite large and are sure to fill you up.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at My Old Dutch Restaurant in London, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. This charming eatery specializes in Dutch pancakes, and I couldn't wait to try their offerings. For my meal, I ordered the Egg Florentine and the Original Pancake with strawberries and berries, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. Let's start with the Egg Florentine. The dish featured perfectly poached eggs sitting atop a bed of sautéed spinach, nestled on a deliciously fluffy pancake. The combination of the runny egg yolk, savory spinach, and the pancake's light texture created a harmonious blend of flavors. It was a delightful twist on a classic brunch favorite. Next, the Original Pancake with strawberries and berries. This pancake was an absolute treat. Upon arrival, it was beautifully presented, adorned with a generous portion of fresh strawberries and berries. The pancake itself was thin and delicate, with a slightly crispy edge and a soft, melt-in-your-mouth center. The sweetness of the strawberries and berries perfectly complemented the pancake, creating a burst of fruity goodness with each bite. It was a symphony of flavors and textures that left me craving more. The service at My Old Dutch Restaurant was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They provided excellent recommendations and ensured that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. One aspect that sets My Old Dutch Restaurant apart is its commitment to quality ingredients. The freshness of the eggs, the vibrant flavors of the fruits, and the craftsmanship evident in the pancakes all showcased the restaurant's dedication to providing a memorable culinary experience. Moreover, the prices at My Old Dutch Restaurant were reasonable, considering the generous portions and the high-quality ingredients. It's a place where you can indulge in delicious food without breaking the bank. In conclusion, I highly recommend My Old Dutch Restaurant to anyone in London seeking a delightful pancake experience. Whether you're in the mood for a savory delight like the Egg Florentine or a sweet sensation like the Original Pancake with strawberries and berries, you're in for a treat. With its delicious food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere, My Old Dutch Restaurant is a must-visit for pancake enthusiasts and food lovers in general.

Always a queue outside! Yummy pancakes of different kinds from savoury to sweet! Staff polite, friendly and prompt service. Lovely food and ambience. Would go again! Be aware, the toilets are downstairs in the basement seating area of the restaurant so will not suit wheelchairs or those with mobility issues. Didn't see any disabled toilets upstairs but worth checking.

It's a nice pancake restaurant for a sweet but not overwhelming dessert. The atmosphere feels warm and inviting. However, the pancakes did not impress me much but do not let that discourage you from trying it. I would still stop by for a bite.

The food was good. However the service can be questionable. We had to ask for straws more than twice, they got our order wrong because of a miscommunication from the waiter’s side. He was more frustrated with us than himself and it was very apparent. I would recommend coming here if you’re a big fan of pancakes as it is definitely worth a try. I wouldn’t expect anything out of the staff though.

Great pancakes! Tasted delicious, looked a little bit scruffy. Service was ok, we had to ask them for our drinks after the pancakes had already arrived, but otherwise good.

They have halal option which was good. Quite a big portion. Food was ok not that great. Indoor is well decorated. They do have a Monday offer where u pay £7 something and choose whatever from the menu (condition applies)

Mid pancakes, but a good range of them. I wanted to like the place more because the atmosphere and service was pleasant, but I couldn’t get over the lukewarm food. Pancakes weren’t particularly flavoursome, but I did like the toppings, including the fruit and ice cream.

This has to be on the London experience list. You can have pancakes any way you like at My Old Dutch. The portions are overly generous and you won't walk away disappointed if you're looking for a big feed. Service can be a little slow at times but the experience more than makes up for it. The menu is expansive, we recommend the waffles and milk shakes.Thank you My Old Dutch.

the sweet pancakes are absolutely to die for, massive portions so will definitely leave you fed, nachos were also nice but the cheese is definitely congealed… came back the next day and tried a savoury pancake (do not recommend the four cheese) was so congealed and came out lukewarm which was super disappointing because I loved the Nutella one I had the day before. Prices are decent, not the cheapest but they have Monday deals which makes it better than any creams. Would love to try the butterscotch and the small pancakes one day

This was my 2nd visit but I find the savoury crepes a little underwhelming. There is a variety of different toppings for the large crepe but I feel that adding them to the crepe doesn't really make it anything special. The sweet crepes/pancakes however are delicious as they should be and the interior of the restaurant is very pretty and colourful with flowers on the ceiling etc. So I would recommend this place more for just desserts.

Love this place. Anytime we think pancakes this is the first place that comes to mind! From savoury to sweet they've always got something to hit that spot! The ambience is wonderful, the decor just adds to the chilled out vibe! It's all really beautiful. Staff are always super friendly and chirpy. They go out of their way to ensure you're taken care of.

I had lunch today and brought my brothers. I've known this places for over 30 yrs and great to know its still here. Unfortunately I didn't like the pancake I ordered. It was the My Old Dutch gluten free pancake. It was more pancake than topping, dry and tasteless. My brothers were happy with their choice which was the Full English breakfast pancake and the hot Dutch pancake. We shared a sweet pancake with maple syrup and ice ream which was delicious. Service was great, making allowances for tube disruption etc. Overall experience was wonderful. Lovely space to catch up with my brothers.

It was mid, at best. Ordered the savory pancakes so it's relevant only to those. We thought they were pretty dry and lacked seasoning. Mine was the Eggs Florentine, supposedly with creamed spinach and some cheese. There was no creamed spinach and a rather measly amount of cheese. Mostly fresh spinach on top but it didn't even have any seasoning so it was bland. For the price you pay, I think it's not worth it. Greek salad was roughly chopped veggies with lots of (good) olive oil and great cheese. Place itself is very instagram-able.

The restaurant was absolutely gorgeous and the food was really good. We had the thin pancake (crepe) with Nutella and ice cream and also a waffle. For sides we got scrambled eggs and bacon, lots of it. The prices were extremely affordable considering they were quite generous with the portions. Service and ambiance was really nice too. Will come back as soon as I can.

Fantastic selection of toppings for pancakes including some stranger ones. Service was good generally but a little slow considering the restaurant wasn't busy. They cater well for allergies. Food itself was good but I do feel my pancake could have been cooked a little more. The pepperoni and chorizo on top were warm but not cooked. The sweet pancake was very good however

Huge, huge portions- one needs to make sure their appetite is full on. Tasty pancake on itself but the pear and cinnamon combo didn't impress. The pear was raw, blant and too crunchy. I would have liked it softer and sweeter- maybe like caramelized to add a bit of taste and sweetness to it. It didn't feel like the ingredients blend together. Good service and nice atmosphere overall!

Delicious pancakes! My mini pancakes were so delicious - fluffiest and lightest ones I’ve eaten and highly recommend. We were lucky and got a table without reservations, but everyone after us had a wait a while. The savoury pancake was good too.

The service was topnotch. For allergies, they take time to explain and check the extent to allergy. I never heard anyone explain the possibility of air contamination before to check if that will affect a person. The food was beautifully presented, the toppings generous, and very tasty.

Passed by this restaurant multiple times and finally went to try. It wasn't the American style pancake that I expected , but the British style pancake/french crepe for the savoury orders. I think i ordered the Italian topping and it was pretty tasty, very large portion so you will be filled up.

Tried this place out today with my friend and we liked the mini pancakes, forgot what they're called but they were dusted with icing sugar and were really tasty! There were a couple hard ones but the soft ones were really pleasant to eat. I ordered Nutella with it, but they're nice to just eat on their own. Service was very good, we didn't manage to catch his name but he was an Italian man with curly hair (who doesn't like chocolate!) - he was very friendly and welcoming, hope he gets recognised for this :)

  • 3/5 Michael M. 4 months ago on Google
It was OKAY. If you aren't familiar with these "pancakes", they're more like crepes. You get a giant open crepe with the toppings of your choice. It's like a really strange pizza. They forgot about our order and we waited 45 minutes for food. Food? Yeah. But I feel like there are better places to spend your money. Their crazy beer selection was good, though.

The food was decent we got the meaty feast and the salmon one - the food got cold fast which was a down side but it still tasted nice maybe cos crepes are thin ? Will try again but maybe the pancakes for breakfast. The service though was lovely, they explained the menu and we got the food soon after ordering. The portions were big so you may need to walk it off after!🤰
