Disgusting hotel - must have been one of the worst hostels I've ever stayed at! Nothing like hostel pictures!!! The owners were controlling the so called "tenants" like lab rats and the whole hotel was falling to pieces! The room was so dirty, the toilets - I would kill myself in there. The owners were so rude and unhelpful and the public kitchen was so old and used. The other tenants were nice but it was like the owners were controlling them in a game of the Hunger games!!! The beds were squeaky and sleeping was a nightmare since the windows couldn't close and we were right next to the Tube station. This is one of the most poorly rated on trip advisor so there are much better hotels at cheaper prices even nearer central London. Don't be fooled into coming here- the whole area around here stinks.

I stayed at this hostel for longer than the typical stay. The only positive I saw about it was the location, based right outside the station. This however was it's own disadvantage since you could hear each train passing underneath (which is quite frequent). Now for the bad: The worst thing about the place was the toilets and showers, which are only cleaned once a day. I accidentally dipped a jumper in the water that gathered outside the showers and I had to wash it 3 times before the smell could leave. The upstairs bathroom also reeked constantly of a public toilet. Most of the people there are long term residents, not just short stay holiday goers, including the owners, who would have curry very often. I like curry, but smelling curry every time I entered and left the place eventually started to make my stomach turn. Regarding the rooms, these have very thin walls and I could hear everything going on next door. The beds were also very uncomfortable and there was bad internet connection throughout (In all fairness, few hostels have comfortable beds and a good internet connection). This place might have been good for that one night stay, but nothing more. Please avoid.

Okay place to sleep for the night while awaiting flight to Heathrow (just across from the tube station and relatively 'cheap') however very poorly set up and run. Toilets weren't working on some floors and the whole place was pretty run down.

For the price it's a very nice hostel. If you're looking for somewhere cheap and no frills this is perfect. We stayed here to attend a festival in London. It has great transport connections being across the road from the tube station and bus. A Sainsbury's 2 minutes down the road. Despite our room being changed to help accommodate a family more suitable staff were happy to help get a fridge to our room for the inconvenience. However word of warning if you are towards the right of the building the windows back onto the tube lines with tubes running throughout the night. Cannot open the windows in the night. Very clean toilets and showers.

It looks like an Old Hospital. We could not find it at first. From the outside ne Hostels Name isn't written down. We waited for 30 minutes until we could checked in. inside it was very stinky and the Neighbourhood is very scary. The matress is so soft that you cant lay there properly. The blankets had no cover and you could see how many people used it. It was disgusting. The fridge in the room was very loud. I was scared to go to the shower/toilet alone..

very expensive. Very dirty. not at all quiet. Very slow wifi. He has a quilt for each bed and never wash it

Clean enough and with good facilities - plenty of showers and decent kitchens. 24-hr front desk is useful.

You get what you pay for. But considering the bad hype about shared accomodation this is not to bad its clean and very spacious also comfortable. The tube is literally over the road and can catch any train into the centre of london.

Awfully dirty place that should be closed but for some reason still open. Avoid at all cost. Not safe. You can actually catch TB as you are using same facilities with homeless people and nothing is cleaned. These pictures I've got from the kitchen, and I'm so sorry I didn't take photos of the state of the showers and bedrooms.

We needed a cheap stay for one night. That's what we got. Nothing more and nothing less. The people working there are really nice.

Keep searching, I advise you to not stay here! I agree with all the BAD reviews!

the staff are very nice but I wouldn't stay here again it's very dirty and scary a lot of people permanently live here

Didn't meet my expectations at all. The bathroom/shower/toilet is all in one small room and therefore seems very unhygienic. The bed linen has stains, whatever - definitely unhygienic. In general, the hostel cannot be recommended and the 1 star comes from the free WiFi that at least works.
