Found this place at last open. Went last year was under restoration wraps. Very reasonably priced tickets to get in. Restoration to this beautifully light enhanced house is superb. Do visit the conservatory which is an added addition. You have to see it from inside looking out to get it! The conservatory is based on the original plans of the architect who never got the chance to build it. The exquisite hand painted wallpaper in the dining room and long view windows create a vista to the outside grounds. The room is light and airy, the painted ceiling has very modern pale mute colours. This is a house l would want to live in. You think grey is the in colour at the moment - it's there too. The marbled painting and wood effect has been skillfully done. Staff are enthusiastic about this recent renovation. Go along and see what you think and don't forget to get a tour.

A stunning building in the heart of Ealing that is worth visiting. Everything from architecture, deco and garden is fabulous. A good option for local day outs. The entry is free on Wednesdays and Sundays.

We recently visited Pitzhanger Manor & Gardens and it was a fantastic experience. The Georgian Eating room, the drawing room and all other rooms are filled with beautiful decorations and intricate patterns. The Manor is gifted with a beautiful garden/ pond behind the building which leads you to forget that you are in busy London 🙈 Such a lovely place to visit & I highly recommend. Thank you 😊

I visited the Pitzhanger Gallery and Manor yesterday. (Free on Wednesday and Sunday*) The Matt Dixon (artist) exhibition; A Sense of Wonder' was absolutely delightful, albeit so poignant. The little robot is just so cute that I felt like I wanted to take 'him'/it home and look after it. The settings of the images reminded me of the film Wall-E and that made it feel really sad. But each image is really sweet. The (John Soane) Pitzhanger Manor is well worth a visit. It's beautiful; very minimalist and in total contrast to the London house that is jam-packed with thousands of artefacts, which is a must visit if you're in London. The Manor overlooks Walpole Park which is also really lovely. I've never spent any significant time in Ealing prior to this visit and I am so impressed.

A lovely visit to this charming house. Sir John Soane’s country residence. Definitely the home of an architect! The light and airy rooms are beautiful. Garden was lovely too but probably needs a team of volunteers to bring back to former glory. Would recommend a visit though. Easy train to Ealing Broadway- shopping and restaurants good too.

This place is really worth visiting. After seeing Sir John Soane's house-museum in Holborn seeing Pitzhanger Manor was a must especially for those who live in Ealing, so interesting and important for the local history.

Gorgeous building, amazing exhibitions, highly recommend going to be recharged. The volunteers and staff are super friendly and helpful. Had our wedding there and Daniela - the private hire manager was spectacular. Highly recommend.

A stunning eighteenth century Manor House designed by Sir John Soanes (who is the architect of the Dulwich Picture Gallery and the Bank of England). Pitzhanger Manor was his country home. The Manor has been recently renovated and a visit provides a fascinating insight into the period. There has now been added an exhibition space for artists and currently Rana Begum’s exhibition Dappled Light is showing (see photos). Pitzhanger Manor is located ten minutes walk from Ealing Broadway underground station and at the entrance to the wonderful Walpole Park. A true treasure in W5.

Pitzhanger Manor is an elegant little historic house, designed in1800 by the famous English architect, Sir John Soane, for his family. The house is full of Soane's neoclassical features and there's a contemporary art gallery next door. Both buildings back onto Walpole Park.

It is a great place for exhibitions. We loved taking our time going around the whole house. Such lovely decorations and fittings. I was so very tempted to lie down on the bed.

My best friend had an exclusive hire for her wedding and it really did make for the most perfect civil ceremony. We were blessed with ideal weather and what you cant see from these pictures are the lovely columns and artwork which are on the grounds.

Sir John Soane's rural retreat in Ealing. Beautifully restored but lacking in lots of antiquities since they were moved to his town house in Lincoln Inn Fields/museum. Definitely worth a visit.

I expected to spend about 30 mins here but instead it was a couple of hours not including the Art exhibition. The house has been beautifully and tastefully restored and the information about it and John Soane is presented in a very interesting way. Such presentations do not usually hold my attention but here I read every word. Very informative staff too. Lovely cafe /restaurant in the adjoining building.

One of the famous country houses in this borough and a well known British arcticture John Soane owned this house in 1800 and renovated for him and his family. Some rehabilitation and renovation were made afterwards but you can find what the history and advanced arts at that time really were.

What a fantastic house and gallery. The gallery is small, with exhibitions carefully arranged across one and a half rooms. The house is a wonderful walk through another time over several floors. All restoration looks faithfully done and is very effective.

So wonderful to see both the Hogarth lithographs and the actual Rake's Progress paintings in this magnificent house. Make sure you always look up as you go through the rooms as the ceilings are stunning.

A splendid monument to history of arts and culture. It underwent a major restoration which vastly improved the whole setting with surrounding area of Walpole Park. A must visit for art lovers

The exhibition about how Pitzhanger Manor was restored was very good. I particularly liked the use of large print on a contrasting background which made the text easy to read.

Delightful place to visit. The house is rather empty but fun to explore, the gallery always has really interesting exhibitions on.

This is the house of the renowned neoclassical architect of 19th century, Sir John Soane. As he loved to invite his guests to his house and he liked them to be impressed by his design, he used a number of techniques in the design of the house. Worthwhile to visit if you are interested in architecture.

It may be the house of the famous John Soane, but honestly compared to others it wasn't as well preserved. I mean it is re-done in a modern way, and it has a couple of rooms with beautiful wall art, but that's it. Most of the furniture and decor is gone. They have small re-productions on the walls of what the rooms and decorations really looked like, and it just shows how much this house is missing.

The house itself is very interesting if you are even vaguely into architecture with very enthusiastic staff. Haven't had an opportunity to see an exhibition there yet, but the house alone is worth a visit.

Visited on my Mum’s 75th. Martin is the most superb guide. Generous with detail and very knowledgeable: kind and polite with true enthusiasm :) he brought the Hogarth prints to life. The whole place is fascinating and they have great modern art sprinkled liberally amongst Sir John Soane’s amazing decor.
