I love the idea of thinking Mr Thomas Tallis did use this very building as a choir boy back in the 16th century. Not the same organ, not the same architecture and decoration, but they do fit together quite well for our contemporary eyes and imagination. I especially love the lunchtime recitals offer - on Tues, Thurs and Fridays. Magnificent organ!

A little gem today completely surounded by recent well designed modern buildings. The contrast is very interesting. A very pretty corner of the city of London.

Beautiful Wren church with coffered dome. Terrible fire several years ago and the original wooden furniture and fitting have never been put back, so slightly weird space now. The position of the church, tucked away down a narrow cobbled street, gives a good impression of what City churches were like 300 years ago.

A totally wonderful church. When I visited there was a young American chap who was giving a recital, Mozart I think and he seemed very nervous waiting for people to turn up. I heard him practising before I went in and he was very good, so hope the recital went well for him as he was such a nice chap. The Organ looks beautiful and you can see the pipes in one of my photos. Wonderful church and will visit again and hope I have time to sit down and listen to any music recitals when I am there. A "must re-visit"

Brilliant little churchyard that you would be unlikely to find without guidance and directions Ideal place to take a "time out" in the middle of a busy day. Lots of places close by in Eastcheap to buy a coffee and a sandwich and enjoy a few minutes of peace and quiet. A few benches provided for the public to use. Maybe best to avoid lunchtime visits if you can Quick note; Parking is impossible near by

Return visit, Monday afternoon. Enterence via Lovat Lane. A beautiful church of Wrenn servicing the community especially Billingsgate and fishmongers. A nice quiet place to take time out.

We held a Carol service. A brilliant space for this. Also excellent for other meetings. Very well positioned for transport.

The Thursday Conversations are a wonderful innovation. Interaction with a range of interesting speakers, ably overseen and moderated by Reverend Rose Hudson - Wilkin. The opening service and songs by the resident choir are a showcase of excellence in both music, ministry and pastoral care. I haven't experienced a bad one! Both are going from strength to strength and I expect to hear and see more of the choir in the coming months

Gorgeous church with plenty of natural light. It also has excellent acoustic for classical music events which is a regularly feature here.

Rather lovely city church tucked away down a quiet lane near Monument. A refuge from nearby hustle and bustle of London Bridge. Very few lights so after dark is quite atmospheric!
