Frankly speaking this place has declined in various areas over the years and its awfully sad to see this. There were no hot drinks and on the last visit there were other shortcomings too. The staff are fairly nice but Cineworld is a business that has been failing and the pressure is witnessed throughout the whole business including lack of repairs and cleanliness. The seats need a refurb, mine was of a poor state. Overall this place survives because of the great films that are on show. I do like the larger screens, they're massive. Overall, sad to say, below mediocre. Sparkling customer service is what's missing from this place. But it's an easy fix! Staff need a morale boost and with a little training they can really excel. After all this place has a lot of history and great memories! Fingers crossed things improve.

It was my first time at Cineworld and wasn't expecting it to be so huge it was so clean and well maintained and the theatres were just fabulous. The audio really drawed me in and made me almost feel like I was in the movie. It was also only £8 as a student which shocked me for all the good reasons. Very affordable and now I can have a well deserved break by watching a movie here anytime :)

First of all, I had a nice cinematic experience with top-notch quality screens when I watched Avatar: The Way of Water in stunning 4k Dolby. Whether you prefer the convenience of online ticket booking or the traditional offline method, you can easily obtain tickets for the show. However, I must admit that the seating arrangement was not up to par, as it didn't provide the level of comfort I was hoping for. Now, shifting the focus to the food court, I was disappointed to find that the prices were exorbitant, and the quality of the food was nothing short of pathetic. The popcorn, in particular, was the worst I have ever tasted, lacking freshness and flavor. Taking everything into consideration, I would describe my overall experience as "just okay," with room for improvement in various aspects.

It’s perfectly awesome place for a movie. It has 10 to 12 screens. Few screens are small with less seating capacity and few are with quite reasonable seating capacity. Queue management is the worst. They really need to work on new practice. Why someone has to be in the queue for half an hour? Staff is not polite and helpful. Toilets are filthy, overall cleaning and seat floor cleaning is not up to the mark.

Pros: Food is good. Screens are good and cozy with controlled temperature. Cons: They have changed the seating arrangement at the very last moment without notifying anyone. First 20 mins of the movie, had a great problem in figuring out seating arrangements. Not had a great experience!

The cinema itself is modern, clean and spacious. Customer service is great. They serve snacks at a slightly higher price than your local shops. Ticket prices are reasonable but you can get cheaper if you visit elsewhere. The cinema halls are good sized but the seats! Don’t get me started on the seats. They are awful regardless of where one is sat. My back was hurting after an hour. They need to invest in proper seating. Accessibility wise, it’s not too bad. Toilets are clean and user friendly. You can use the escalator to go up or down. Sometimes they don’t work but I haven’t seen an incident where a disabled person, a parent or an older person require assistance. Wonder how they would handle that? The cinema is located just outside of the main shopping centre and all its shops. There are several bus stops outside so if you live locally all you need to do is hop on to a bus to get there. There is a car park about 3 minutes away and Ilford station is the nearest station which is about 10/15 minutes walking distance (depends on how fast or slow you walk).

I am a frequent visitor to this cinema, as it has consistently provided me with enjoyable experiences in the past. However, on my most recent visit, I encountered an unpleasant situation in Screen 10. To my dismay, there was a strong and off-putting smell permeating the air, reminiscent of an old, musty, and damp carpet that had been affected by mold.

The experience was okay, just walked to the theatre, no interaction with any staff. Only disappointment was the tiny screen and mini theatre. May be the one i was in small but i felt like i watched movie in a home theatre, i agree while booking the tickets i can see that there are only few seats. But in Vue stratford even if the seating capacity is less the screen is big enough, but here the screen seemed to be too small.

Very bad customer service Worst cinema. Booked ticket online. Wouldn’t let me in as I forgot my Unlimited card at home. No card no entry . Had to buy tickets to watch the movie. If it’s been paid already for the tickets, and it’s valid. Just let them in to watch their movie man! I’ve never seen or been asked for an ID/Cineworld card anywhere before. Always booked online and watched movies without being hassled to show proof. Never again. Noting better than VUE. Best cinema in UK. Simple, clean, friendly staff, and never hassle their customers. Book tickets online, get scanned and enter your room to watch. Simple!

My local showcase closed down and needed to find a decent place to watch movies with the kids. There is luckily very good bus links right next to the cinema as well as a parking garage about 1 minute away by walk and is very cheap to park. The cinema itself has an escalator, lift and stairs so is very accessible for all. I used to come here a good 15 years ago and it has improved in my opinion as it’s very clean. Staff are polite and very helpful. The snacks area is well maintained and has lots on offer. In regards to ticket prices, they are about pricier than other places so that is a bit of a downside to the whole experience. The seats are very comfortable and well spaced out. You can book online quite easily and there are many viewings available for the various movie showings. The high street is a minutes walk away, there is a Nando’s a few shops down so if you’re looking to have lunch/dinner with a movie then it’s a good spot. Overall myself and the kids had a great experience and will be coming back again, definitely recommend to all.

Not up to the mark as standards. The sound is not good enough for the audience and the Maintenance of the washroom is the worst no proper cleaning.

Last night I attended a screening in Theater 9, next to seat K10. Shockingly, a hole in the wall revealed rats living there, disrupting the movie and prompting us to jump out of our chairs. Now, we're cautious about leaning back in the chairs. Urgently requesting attention to this matter for resolution.

Some staff (not all) have a very poor attitude. 2 girls were there checking tickets on Sunday evening and saw me and my partner approaching. When I went to show the tickets she just purposely turned to her colleague and started chatting. WHO ON EARTH DOES THAT?!! Such a jealous, poor and b i t c h y attitude. I then had to say excuse me to get her attention. Next time I'll just maybe walk right in shall I if you're not interested in checking tickets. A note to management, I suggest you hire staff who genuinely care and can provide good customer service and positive experience. And maybe not these students who are just here for the pay and don't value customer service or don't have basic manners which most have and value in this country!!!

It’s a nice small cinema. Isn’t as busy as it used to be before Covid. Reasonable ticket prices, lower if you book online. Snacks are overpriced but they have a decent range. People working behind the food counters, can work more efficiently. Security need to keep an eye on trouble makers, often those causing the problem are never asked to leave, instead those telling trouble makers to stop are escorted out.

The seat's are very dirty and uncomfortable. Bought hotdogs from the counter it was horrible, wasted money for no reason I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy it. It was getting very hot inside, told one of the workers to turn off heating but never did. The seating row's were mixed up by alphabets which made difficulties for us and others to find the right seats. Overall I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit this Cineworld branch.

I had lost my bag , however I had the most accommodating team ever. Zainab and her colleague had come out of the cinema , into the restaurant that I had left it at to help me find it. The manager had then swiftly looked at the CCTV and had confirmed that I didn’t have any bag walking into the cinema. Lovely staff, thank you ! ! My university degree was in that bag (LAPTOP)

Great local cinema complex - a stones throwaway from the heart of the Ilford Town centre. Lot's parking available near-by. Plenty of halal restaurants all around. The ticket prices are not extortionate but like most cinemas they'll make that back on the food. Can't go wrong - highly recommended.

In all honesty, this place should be avoided like the plague: their staff are rude, especially the fat Indian lady who stands at the entrance of the cinema halls and Henna stationed at the ice-cream parlour! Their managers are quiet quitters! You complain to their head office, but no favourable response comes your way! – Nothing is worth your peace of mind; you’re better off going elsewhere or waiting for the film shown on Netflix or Amazon. Shame on you, Cineworld

Been coming here off and on since it first opened in 2002 but have come more regularly since 2017 when I became a Cineworld member and since 2020 post Covid19. It wasn't a great cinema in its initial years with rude staff and a dirty premises . There are better Cineworld Cinemas in London however it's improved tremendously over the past few years with good cleaning and professional and friendly staff (although one man who checked membership cards came across more like an CIA official or someone at Border control. As an ethnic minority, you'd have thought he'd known better). Other Cineworld Cinemas in London are better but its decent.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the manager of the cineworld ilford. We came to watch Wish, with 2 family's and the manager was very understanding and courteous as I had a child with Special needs and I had left my carers discount card at home but he did the discount anyhow. Also with a large family we were debating between 2 films and we had created a queue but he was very patient and did not show any frustration or anger in his mannerisms. Which was very much appreciated.

The theatre has several screens and I liked it very much. We can get most of the movies showing on the screens. They have 11 screens I guess. And from Monday to Wednesday are like the cheapest days in the week for watching the movies. The restroom could have been a little bit cleaner as it smells a little bad in the urine passing area. Other than that I have had a great experience.

I visited Cineworld for a movie and had a good experience overall. However, the seat I chose was not cleared, as there were ice cream cups left on it. Other than that, everything was good.

Out of all the cineworld cinemas I have visited they have the rudest and the worst staff possible. Staff here must be trained how to talk and behave with customers. It’s understandable if a customer is rude to you and you are not the kindest but when a customer is being kind enough you must be polite and respectful.

Poor customer service from the staff( amin, ambu ) caused our family to delay the movie for more than half an hour. They made us scan our tickets multiple times saying that our ticket is not valid and made us feel insulted and disrespected. Very dissapointed about this.

This cineworld is in walkable distance from Ilford rail station. It showcases wide variety of movies in different language. Since Ilford has a large population of Indians. You can go and watch different Indian movies .

Extremely busy and a crowded place for Indian movies. But good screens like any more other Cineworld location. Accessible easily being located at the Ilford city centre and right in front of the bus stop. A lot of restaurants nearby as well!

I had a truly shocking and disappointing experience at this cinema recently. I have never encountered such a disgraceful situation that left me feeling threatened, humiliated, and unsafe. My friends and I arrived for our movie only to find our seats occupied by some individuals who not only refused to vacate them but also aggressively threatened us when we requested our rightful seats. The situation escalated to the point of feeling physically threatened. What's even more disheartening is the complete lack of support from the manager, his name’s (Connor or Kieran) don’t remember exactly. He not only failed to call the police when we insisted but actually rewarded the aggressors with a private viewing. Our pleas for a refund for the uneaten food and unwatched movie were denied, and we were handed vouchers that we'll never use since we have no intention of returning. To add to the nightmare, we discovered that some individuals had attacked someone when the movie ended. If the manager had taken our concerns seriously, this might have been prevented. Instead, he dismissively claimed such behavior was common and there was no ban policy. This experience left me questioning the safety and respect of patrons at this cinema. Safety and a welcoming environment should be a top priority, and I strongly urge a thorough investigation into this incident. Connor and any staff who witnessed the aggression should be held accountable for their lack of action. I hope the management takes the necessary steps to rectify this situation and ensure a safer, more respectful cinema environment.

The staff was so unprofessional,I forgot to take my unlimited card and they just restricted my entry without saying any solution for my problem they simply said “we can’t let you in, you have to show your unlimited card the soft copy is not enough”. But i called customer care myself (they didn’t tell me to contact customer support) and they send me a temporary pass for me. They could’ve told me this solution earlier but they didn’t. I think the staff in there needs a lot training to deal with the customers.this was on 4 nov 2023 in between 8;30 & 8:45

Clean with comfortable seats. Films in many languages. Friendly staff. Usual selection of snacks , ice creams and sweets. Easy to get too, with dozen of buses stopping outside, a multi story car park next-door and Ilford Station a short walk away. Ticket deals available and if your phone is with 3 you can get weekend tickets for £3.

Had an awful experience here today in screen 5. The sound system was absolute rubbish. Was mono stereo without base. I have informed this to the manager but he reacted absolutely helpless.

  • 3/5 Aleksandra B. 9 months ago on Google
Good selection of movies, and snacks. The service for popcorn was really slow, popcorn were cold and stale. The staff member was nice though. The screening room was freezing cold and there were popcorn all over the floor from previous screening which wasn't cleaned up.

Has everything you’d want from a cinema. Large screen, tasty snacks and nice atmosphere. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the snacks are a bit pricey but still a good place to watch the latest movies

I really enjoyed the film which was minions: the rise of gru. However, i did not give full 5 stars as during the film there was a crying baby which i had to silence which stained my expensive suit. Other than that, this cinema was really good

Screen was a lot smaller than the other ciniworld's I've been to, so seemed quite intimate, but either way you enjoy the film. Wasn't busy so was served quickly. Staff were friendly enough, quick and efficient. Parking is available, but not free for cinema customers. The price was cheap enough, so can't complain. Has all the basic things you'd expect from a ciniworld. However, it didn't have a super screen, 4DX or any of the premium stuff.

Good atmosphere, Good seatings, but doubt sound system quality as I have been in 2/3 Audi's only. Have to check remaining Audi's also. Overall Good experimence. They also have monthly packages with pretty good.

  • 2/5 Mangalaram S. 1 year ago on Google
Became completely Asian cinema. The maintenance quality has really dropped to worst. Toilet facilities not enough. Some of the seating is stained. This may be purely to do with the audience but maintenance team will have to step up. As to do with any cinema, snacks are ridiculously too expensive. Ticket prices are high compared to other good cinemas.
