Great neighborhood spot to get some vitamin D and hydration! Great food options and plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoor if you're looking for something more cosy.

The Fox is a great pub in a really nice location next the the canal. Very popular with the locals and it’s easy to see why. Great cosy atmosphere inside but the outdoor space and garden is amazing. Perfect all year round but even better in the summer. An outdoor bar and service area. The staff all very friendly and helpful.

We were a party of 16 for a family get together. The very helpful and patient staff, gave excellent service. We were seated outside in the garden thankfully under an open sided gazebo that provided excellent shade from the hot sun. Most of us ordered the Sunday roast which I enjoyed very much. One point of note is that the accompanying sauces for the roast were left standing in open single serving containers outside in the garden. Perhaps it would be prudent to cover them as there were plenty of fly's buzzing around. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Giving one star only for the food. The pub is nice with a great outdoor garden and friendly staff. The food however was awful. We ordered a roast pork, a roast lamb and a cauliflower cheese. To start with, the pork wasn't pork at all, but gammon or ham, no crackling to be seen. The roast lamb was tiny and so badly overcooked. Topped off with what looked to be frozen Yorkshire puddings, stuffing balls from a packet (that paxo stuff), and probably frozen potatoes as well as they weren't not even remotely crispy, but soggy and tough. And I'm sure it packet gravy as well. Cuali cheese wasn't much to rave about either. Another table next to us when leaving said out loud "fish shouldnt smell like that", and judging by what they left on thier plates it can't have been good. Quite sad given that other reviews for the food here I've seen are quite good and the good looked good from thier pictures.

Visited for the first time with friends, had only a couple of drinks in the very pretty and accommodating beer garden. From the moment you arrive you can see a great level of detail has gone into making this pub a warm and welcoming experience from the well maintained flowers and frontage, to stepping into the pub via the beer garden, there is a great indoor decor with wood panelling, old books and pictures all add to the atmosphere. Not one detail has been overlooked. Was lovely to see some local products in hampers being promoted and sold behind the bar. Lovely to see they have free Wi-Fi available and publicised at the bar. The bar it’s self offered a wide range of draft beers, ales etc then a good selection of spirits with a number of specialty gins, rum, whiskey and more. Defo something for everyone. There were even some dog treats available on the bar and a water keg for dogs outside to allow you to top up a water bowl, again a lovely touch to include your four legged friends. Was lovely to see a number of dogs in the beer garden. The beer garden has a huge amount of seating, some booths which are under cover, open tables and chairs and even picnic benches. Really something for everyone. There were some great signage places where they’re actively encouraging engagement for their social channels. Nothing better than patrons promoting their venue with a great experience. Although we didn’t eat we saw some of the food on offer from an adjacent table, the burgers looked incredible. Had we have not just eaten an hour prior we defo would have not been able to resist. The pub is close to the canal so would be a lovely stop if you were passing through as a place to get a nice bite to eat and enjoy a couple of drinks. We were really blown away with the atmosphere, welcome and overall vibe of this place and we’ve already said we are looking forward to returning and next time getting a bite to eat. Great work and a big thank you to the management and staff, keep doing what you’re doing, as it’s superb. Massive and well deserved 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me!

This a great pub for a rest while walking the Grand Union Canal towpath. Located about 2 minutes from the River Brent flowing into the canal. There is a huge beer garden with a second bar in the garden. Great selection of pale. The place is very dog friendly.

This is a beautiful pub, the staff are so friendly, the clientele of a good calibre. We went on a Wednesday night during Eat Out to Help Out. The food was good however, they'd run out of steak and apple crumble, which was a shame. I will definitely be coming back again. The outside area looked beautiful, though we sat inside. Giving this place a 4 star only because the where we were sat wasn't that comfortable, it was a bench style seat.

Lovely location. Great range of beers. And lovely staff. Wouldn't it be lovely if they offered just a short menu of totally home-made food inspired by the season and availability. Then my tired little legs wouldn't have to cycle all the way to the Black Dog!

From ringing, speaking to someone, booking a table for up to 15 people that evening, the whole experience was excellent. Good service, good beers, good food, good pub. They could not have been more helpful. Shame about tricky parking in the area but that's a busy London suburb for you. Will definitely visit again.

A really lovely pub with an interesting selection of very well kept cask ales. Fabulous Timothy Taylors "Landlord" ale. Great food including an excellent creamy salmon, pea and spinach spaghetti. Great selection of music, especially for those born in the 1960's. Incredibly disappointing to see customers openly vaping inside the pub throughout their visit, including people sat at the bar and unchallenged while in extended conversations with bar staff - selfish and unacceptable in 2022.

Long time customer of this pub. Great staff and run really well by the management. If must be difficult these days to run a successful pub with the price of overheads and lack of customers since the pandemic. However they do their very best to provide a great service within a lovely setting.

Wonderful pub, we were moored up on the canal near TheFox Inn, and ate here a number of times, the food was delicious, a nice outdoor area, the staff friendly and all COVID guidelines followed (I am a few months late posting this review. As we ate here so often, I tried the veggie burger, veggie salad, the veggie fajita (my go to meal) and the veggie sundae roast. I would say my favourite was the fajita and the roast, and the burger was not really to my taste. The portion sizes are very generous, highly recommended.

It is a great deal for me to go out to a place where i can eat with my dog. Specially when we face much discrimination (he is my assistance dog also) in must public places, but not in this pub thankfully, as it is dog friendly. Hence i keep this rating at 4 stars. It is also a great deal to me the places i choose to spend money and i hope that the management at this pub can improve the prediction of ketchup usage, so that there can be a constant availability of such a key condiment in the food industry. I am hoping that my frustration lowers in the next months and that i can revisit again, albeit next time i will check if there is ketchup before i order.

Beautiful little pub by the canal. Perfect for lunch before or after a nice walk. We had the Sunday roast and it was absolutely delicious. Even the veg were super tasty. Staff were very polite and friendly and happily fetch any sauces etc you might need (I asked for extra gravy and they were more than happy to being me a second jug 😀). Environment really cosy with traditional, interesting decor and pretty fairy lights at the windows. There is also a covered seating area outside under a marquee which looked lovely, though we didn't sit there. Seems to be dog friendly too (we don't have one but people next to us had one under the table) which is also fab for walks etc. Was our first visit, but certainly won't be out last ❤️

Lovely pub with a great community vibe. The outside space is newly done adding to the great feel of this pub. A true local favourite perfectly placed for Grand Union canal walks by the pretty Hanwell locks. They also host regular local craft markets. Oh, and the food is amazing too!

Ok so I've loved this pub for ages anyway. It's really close to where the canal and the river Brent join each other so it's wonderful of you fancy a walk as well... Have a look out for the lovely parks nearby and three bridges... But it's recently been invested in do that as well as the lovely indoor area the outdoor area is really amazing as well. The food is always great and the staff super friendly! Keep up the good work!

Thought this was going to be a typical out of the way pub. Walked in to a packed house managed to get the last table for dinner !! Good atmosphere. Interesting decor with books every where. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Have been back twice and not disappointed.

Usually have a good selection of craft beers as well as all the regular lagers you'd expect. The food is high quality gastro style and not cheap, but does all look delicious. There is a single secure bicycle stand opposite the pub garden, which is rather overgrown with hanging down plant tendrils, but we wheeled our bikes into the garden and no one seemed to have any problems with that. Staff were friendly. The garden even has its own little cluster of three unisex toilets.

This unspoilt Victorian beauty has been standing here for over 175 years, it is also one of the prime spots to have a pit stop after taking a stroll down River Brent with or without a four legged friend. When you walk through the doors you can see why and especially when you venture into the behemoth beer garden - It is a pure delight for your eyes. I was blessed with glorious weather on my visit, but don't fret if the weather is a bit hit and miss; they've got you literally covered with canopies and outdoor heaters. This is definitely a pub to put on your West London hit list!

Nachos and kids chicken meal was excellent. The staff/manager were very kind and generous and went beyond our expectations with a request we had too. Love the books in there too.

Lovely boozer tucked away near the canal. Guinness is decent and the beer garden is great too.

The vibes fantastic great staff! I feel the food may need some work though. The turkey roast was very bland. The fish and chips be that it haddock was still very off. Fantastic service and warming vibe however. Great for a friendly family drink I feel.

Great pub, great beer, great quizzes. Years ago I used to take my kids here for Sunday lunch that took forever to arrive. They might have sped up since then.

Friendly staff upon entering. nice and cool with air conditioning on such a blistering hot day. plenty of space inside, and they also have outside seating. I chose a vegan option which was carrot soup, lovely. they had run out of the other vegan option of burger sadly. no vegan desserts on offer. be nice to have a wider vegan menu.. it's the way of the future after all.

Very nice pub. Staff were very helpful and enthusiastic. Sunday roast lunch, after walking canal & Hanwell flight of Locks, was tasty- large portions! Real ales (Tim Taylor, Proper Job I can recall) Huge amount of outdoor seating, some covered with heaters

Was reasonably priced (not cheap but not too expensive either). It was a pain to get there because of the narrow roads leading up to the pub, but once there you immediately noticed a nice ambiance that allowed you to sit in a group and feel comfortable. One criticism would be that there were not many spare chairs about so once your table was full you could not add another chair to the end. 7/10
