What type of Latin bar charges £1 per lime on a drink??? Hello british megalomaniac FYI - Latin drinks are served with lime at no extra cost. If you want to own a Latin bar learn the rules beforehand.

I went on a Saturday night, and it was amazing. This is the kind of Spanish/Latin club you go to if you're trying to party with the local Latin community. There are 2 areas - The upstairs area is a smaller dance club that plays more Bachata/Merengue/Salsa and folks get to spread out a bit and enjoy a good dance session. Downstairs is 100% a club (jam packed, sweaty, etc.) Pick the vibe you're going for and enjoy the night!

One of my friend ordered 6 Tequilas in Spanish and was charged £30. Another friend and I ordered the same 6 tequilas in English and were charged £42. You can gather your own conclusions from this which seems to be quite straightforward, in the UK we call this DISCRIMINATION.

Avoid this club at all costs. The place is a total scam lulling you in with their false advertisement. They promise you one thing in terms of music, but then you get something else when you're there. OWNER and whoever runs that place, just so you know, when you don't deliver what you promise, that is simply called a SCAM. For that 15 quid, we could have had a much better time at Salsa instead. Enjoy your ONE STAR. Oh, and perhaps many more one stars, because when we stood up to leave out of boredom, literally the whole bunch of people that also evidently were disappointed stood up and left. Everyone obviously felt fooled.

Music was goood, people were so random, and we were charged different prices for ordering same drink. No price list of course on display

I've been there a couple of times for Titos Thursdays. They clearly care about the staff wellbeing. The people who dance there seem to share certain stylistic and musical preferences, but it's all good bachata.

Very welcome at the door! Music was nice, when went to buy the drinks small plastic cups which didn’t bother me too much was really annoyed was that asked for Gin tonic and I felt like I was drinking water with Lemon and ice. Went to the bartender and told him you sold us water with lemon there is no gin here he apologise saying that’s the drinks they got there.. then I asked for tequila shots I thought I need something to get the group happy omg horrendous the taste was horrible .. asked for water and left … to go there for the music you better arrive with a few drinks in the system and buy water at this place

Do not go, especially if you are black. The staff are unfriendly and the vibes are very bad!!! There are better clubs with better music. Avoid.

What has happened to this place? Used to be authentic latin vibe with upstairs music Reggaeton etc, downstairs Salsa, Bachata and Merengue. Was lovely to switch between the two. Yesterday I returned after a while and both floors playing the same music? Even commercial pop? No bachata in the 2hrs I was there, so dissapointing and I was embarrassed as I had told my guests this place was the best. Then the drinks... No cocktails upstairs and when I ordered a Caipirinha downstairs, it was soda with some white sugar and some limes... I couldn't believe how bad this place has become? Such a shame and will now be looking for another venue in London to enjoy a great Latin atmosphere.

I only came to la pollera fri night 30th dec mostly for the empanadas after many years was g8 to be bk inside, I was told kitchen is closed then I see girl sticking labels "4 for £12" so I asked so you are making them, she said yes I wanted to buy just 1 but was told must get 4 so I had to leave the club, walk a distance to my car, get the card and go back, when I paid I waited longer then 20 minutes I even mentioned that I wanted the spicy sauce it comes with finally they came wasn't in takeaway box as I asked but np, they were tiny bit the 2 big ones I used to buy with mum bk in the old days ok np but no sauce, they only taste so good cuz of the sauce was told to wait its coming but he was clueless, why wouldn't they bring it straight away and he didn't go up to inform so I just left said il go up myself but there wasn't an entrance so I just left, I tried them and sadly they were not as nixe as they used to be the pastry was dry I could take alot of the cornflour the meat wasn't the same didn't have the chilly or the mashed potato as it did like 10 years ago.. the reggaeton room is downstairs now which i wuda loved before wen it was nice n busy now its empty the uostairs tropical room was dead even downstairs I ddint feel the energy and life as it used to be yeah was darker but it got a bit busy nit busy just not the same crown no Latinos anymore not much all these modern ilovereggaeton sadly became a zoo with kids so where the real clubs at as sadly not coming bk to pollera even the food let me down

Extremely rude, aggressive and unprofessional staff. Stayed at the club for no more than two minutes and found the atmosphere lacking. Decided to leave and rightfully asked for a refund. We were subsequently screamed at by the woman who took our cash and told that there was a no refund policy, however this wasn't stated anywhere. Asked to see the manager and told that he was working at the bar. Everything seemed quite dodgy and unsafe. It felt like an illegal establishment and we regret that we had the misfortune to go there. I hope they get closed down. I would give zero stars if I could. Don't waste your money or time.

Do not go in that place the Manager when you go to leave the Coat, try to cheat you, making you pay double, saying that you lost the ticket. Terrible costumer service. I recommend you go to Salsa Club. Never ever go in this place.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is bellow trashy, entrance is £15 and a double vodka served in a plastic cup is £14. I only got coke and very Little vodka. So do not go there, waste of time and money…

I visited La Pollera last night with my friend and one of the securities decided to take us out for no reason. The owner then noticed the issue and realised that it was unfair and fixed the situation and let us in immediately. It was actually very pleasant to see how she personally took care of us and made sure we were okay. I have never seen something like that in a nightclub. Thanks so much for the great night!!!

DJ “el niño” must be the WORST latin DJ, he doesn’t know anything!! And abuses his use of that horn!!! He also accelerates the pace of the songs, making them unnatural. The worst DJ in the freaking world. Change the DJ and you will do better.

This place shows you the two first levels of hell. In - 1, you will find a great atmosphere with casual sinners dancing salsa, merengue and Bachata. You will also find here the cloakroom. In - 2 you will hang out with The Devil, going "hasta abajo" at the rhythm of the reggaeton and being bumped by a very crowded dance floor. The security staff at the entrance are a bit impatient but this place is still 5/5. After going to La Pollera, you won't be the same.

Less than mediocre. Not a great atmosphere nor vibes. Surprising to see there are still clubs that think putting shiny disco lights is enough to call it a ‘club’.

We booked New Years Eve there, arrive at 22:00 as stated on ticket as a starting time, what turns out nothing was prepared yet ,they were starting to decorate the tables with some confetti the room was empty ,they told us to wait as they still waiting 4 Dj and security,we waited outside in cold for 45 min .To make the story short I was happy with the music we had great time, but the service there is very poor, only the waiter came to us once to check if we are all good ,he was the only one that seem to care for customers, there isn't to much choice when it comes to the drinks they dont do any cocktails they can only make you vodka mixed with sprite or other alcohol with mixer, but not proper drink ,you can also buy Bootle for your table which are not the cheapest one.Overall I dont know if I would not go there second time once was enough :)

The do fake advertising, they promise to have a room salsa, bachata and merengue and we had to complain to get some salsa s the Dj was just playing reggaeton and other weird mixes, even when he played salsa it was not proper salsa, that was reggaeton with some salsa beat, really bad for £15 when you don’t get what they advertised, dont even bother to go there if you are looking for a good salsa place

If you want to learn Cuban Salsa this is the place. Firstly Esther and Antonia are great instructors and will patiently teach you the basics. Their Cuban guest teachers will teach you styling and musicality. The classes on Friday consists of foot work/warm up and various levels of Rueda. The great thing is the social afterwards which allows you to improve your Salsa and have enormous fun!

Very hard to get water. Funny place, something like a mix of overpriced Italian and Spanish clubs but in London. The music is great if you bike latin stuff and the atmosphere is nice and chill. It’s very hard to navigate, I couldn’t even find the cloakroom. Drinks are very expensive: £7 for a 300ml beer! And if you ask for water they send you on a wild goose chase. As a Brit, and indeed as a human being, I regard water as an essential especially in very hot sweaty clubs. First time I asked for water I was told “downstairs” when I was already on the lowest floor. One guy did actually serve small glasses of water if you hung around and asked several times. Multiple other times I was simply ignored when I asked for water and a beer, with the bar woman turning instead to one of the Spanish speaking clientele who had queued behind me. The last time I asked for water “hey, just a tap water please” I was told “say please”. I said it again and got the water. I’m not sure if the staff are in some way directed to be rude to English speakers or people who like to drink water (presumably everyone in the world), but the experience was bizarre and very unpleasant. The doormen and bathroom staff were great, it’s really just the incredibly rude bar staff and the lack of accommodation for water that is the problem. It’s 2022 and we are in the UK. Set up a couple of water jugs and put some glasses out so people can stay hydrated when they are dancing. For the love of god

Terrible place packed with creepy men harassing me and my friends. Music was appalling. I used to go to this place years ago and it was a great spot to go dancing, not anymore. We had a man following my friend everywhere and just watching us, scary. Staff at the bar are very unfriendly, mostly rude. I’d give it 1 star really….

Every 15 minutes, you have to ask for the Air Conditioner to be turned on before a member of staff decides to turn it off. It usually gets boiling hot. For the last one year or so there is no soap in women's bathroom (sometimes there is a mix of 90% water 10% soap), and the hand drier doesn't work. Regularly, there is no toilet roll in the men's toilet as well. It's sad, as there is the amazing Cubanaendo Salsa classes taking place in this club every Friday, and it would be great to have La Pollera doing their best to support this great event.
