Ronnie's
is
a
premium
music
venue
,
it
attracts
great
talent,
it's
small,
seated
and
you
have
a
good
view
from
anywhere
in
the
venue.
One
real
plus
is
that
they
don't
allow
you
to
use
your
phone
during
the
gig
to
take
pictures
so
there's
no
distraction
from
the
person
next
to
you
recording
the
gig
on
his
tablet......
I
took
a
few
stage
photos
before
the
concert,
but
you're
there
for
the
music,
which
could
be
blues,
jazz
or
funk.
I
went
to
see
Soft
Machine
(front
row),
but
the
Friday
before
it
had
been
Billy
Cobham,
however
you
are
just
as
likely
to
see
young,
up
and
coming
musicians
as
well.
(Soft
Machine
were
gifted
musicians
who
played
some
great
instrumental
music.
Some
of
the
members
were
from
their
70s
line
up,
I
loved
it!
)
The
table
service
is
good
as
is
the
steak
and
they
have
a
good
list
of
whiskies
if
you're
so
inclined.
It
does
sell
out,
so
it's
best
to
book
online
and
you
don't
get
a
ticket,
you
go
on
the
list
which
they
check
when
you
arrive
and
you're
then
taken
to
your
table.
It's
rather
old
school
and
quite
endearing!
If
you
just
want
a
taste,
you
can
always
go
to
Upstairs
at
Ronnie's
which
still
features
new
music
and
is
usually
easier
to
get
in.
To
be
honest,
I
haven't
been
upstairs
for
decades,
though,
but
I
do
have
memories
of
having
to
lug
a
bass
amp
up
those
stairs!
They
were
quite
steep...
Ronnie's
Scott's
is
an
iconic
venue
and
worth
the
trip.
You
should
go!!
