Great place. The two for one on cocktails during their happy hours, yes plural is a godsend. They were training a new member of staff while we were there so they were a little slow but what can you do. I'd go again. Its a nice chill spot in a quiet area of Covent gardens. The doorman was ace too. Go there for a drama free chilled night. Dancing was on the cards downstairs if you felt like it. Recommended. Especially during happy hour.

Nice cocktail bar serving food in the heart of Covent Garden. Not the quickest service I've ever experienced but it was pretty early on in the day. Worth hitting for Happy Hour 4-8pm as Prosecco is £20, probably the cheapest in Town.

Mabel's Bar & Kitchen was a great evening venue to meet up with friends, have a few snacks & enjoy some cheeky cocktails. Our friend was celebrating her 40th and it was a brilliant start to the evening at Mabel's. The venue is well furnished and decorated with subdued lighting, a mix of tall bar seating and normal table and chair seating. There is lots of space and at least 3 different types of area to suit most people. Some stairs are involved, so may not be the best place if you are walking-impaired. There are also stairs down to the loos. Bar and waiting staff were friendly and helpful with quick service. They seemed genuine and sincere. The food was delicious - we kept it simple with popcorn chicken, a burger and some fries. Hot and well prepared. Finally, the cocktails, on 2-for-1 Happy Hour, were amazing. We went a little mad and our table was full of glasses by the time we left. The pornstar martini and the rum based cocktails were our favourites. All in all, we would recommend Mabel's and will visit again. Easy to get to from Covent Garden tube.

Initial greeting was hostile. We were early and greeter was stressed and busy. Shown downstairs area which was dark and windowless. However manager was charming and our hen do was a very happy occasion. Staff were wonderful. Cocktail waiters very attentive and enthusiastic. Food was great and plentiful. All round very good indeed.

This is a somewhat European style bar/pub in central London; it provides a cozy atmosphere to chat and possibly to eat. In line with Euro style most people are seated at tables but you can also buy your own drinks at the bar British style. Although I didn't eat there, food are served there and tables can be booked. The walls are decorated with pictures of 19th century royals and icons, the ceiling with chandeliers etc; drinks are very pricy, we are looking around £10-12 for a glass of wine or liquor. There are loud music on a Saturday evening, you might need to talk a bit loud; there's no specific dance floor but some people dance in the area they are in after a few drinks. Dress code: anything from casual to smart-sexy seemed to have been the norm when I went there on a Saturday night.

Yesterday we have decide to try Mabel for brunch and it was the biggest disappointment and the worst customer service I have experienced in London. Here is why...We decided to go for bottomless brunch £27.50 plus additional food of whatever you eat. I have decided to go with avocado on toast with additional 2 scrambled eggs. My friend (out of 4 at the table) went for just avocado on toast. We brought the order in 20 minutes after our order and it food looked more than just disappointing (photo attached) and my friend got a wrong order. I have ordered a avocado on toast with chillies (unable to remove chillies from the avocado as pre mixed!!)and the bread given was a normal toast I d buy i tesco with 2 poorly scrambled eggs (meal priced at £8.00!). After complaining we received another plate with even worse bread all soggy seating underneath the eggs. Of course the order took ages so 2 friends already finish eating. My friend also got her new order at the same time (as they brought her the wrong order) and the new order included raw poached egg (egg white still translucent and raw) After complaining and speaking to 5 different people without anyone taking responsibility we finally managed to get to speak to the manager, who was even worse. Patronizing and rude! After I said to him that no attitude is required his response was you were giving me attitude first so I’m allowed. At the end we manager to agree not to pay for the food...that required loads of negotiation and again many people involved without knowing who is responsible for what and no one really taking responsibility to what has happened. This has truly been the worst experience in my life in terms of the food and even after complaining they weren’t able to provide decent food. I have tried over 30 brunch places in London and this has been beyond disappointing. I would never recommend this place. I’m sorry I had to write this as I’m not normally the person leaving bad review but that was too bad to not raise it as a.

First off, really lovely interior! It seems every room has a slightly different theme but full of colour and detail! Definitely "Instagram worthy"! I'd booked a table with my family online and selected the "Lunch" option. I wasn't sure which option to choose but chose this only because we went at lunch time and unfortunately there was only a brunch menu available. However, the staff were really helpful and friendly and we were able to order off the A La Cart menu anyway! The food was pretty good, we mostly chose steaks and my only criticism of the food was that they don't serve steak less cooked than medium due to health and safety restrictions and I like mine as least cooked as possible. However it's not a steak joint so it wasn't a big deal! As more people came the music got too loud - it was hard to hear each other over the table. Since we came for a meal it was a bit distracting especially for a 1pm lunch. It may be a better suited place for drinks! Overall it was a really nice experience with good atmosphere and great service / friendly staff!

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Had the bottomless brunch here and had the table booked for 2. We didn't get our first drink until 2.45pm, the service was awfully slow. Ordered the avocado on toast, which was 1 slice of bread with hardly any avocado. Then to top it off, they charged me twice on my credit card, I have emailed a week ago and they haven't replied with a refund or any resolution. I would have hoped they would have tried to resolve my complaint, but sadly they haven't. PLEASE AVOID. Very, very disappointed.

Booked for 10 people, when we arrived the table wasn't ready, then we were really squashed up. Being Christmas the menu was reduced and 2 dishes were not available, yet they didn't tell us until we ordered, so choice was very limited and many had to reorder. Was told food and drink would be table service when I booked yet we were told to order at the bar when we arrived, so had a long wait every time. Eventually they agreed to take the food order at the table but service was extremely slow took about an hour to get a dried up warm burger with burnt chips dumped on a plate with no presentation no salad nothing it looked line what I'd do at home! Even though they said it was a quiet night they couldn't handle a party of 10, it was pretty atrocious. This place had good reviews hence I chose it but it was a shambles, and pretty dirty and run down in my opinion, the upstairs toilets were disgusting downstairs not so bad. But the cocktails were good and the staff were nice, just disappointing I was expecting better and wouldn't go again.
