Nothing like I remembered from when my mother first took me. Then, it was one solitary person shouting from a soap box. Now, well, it's more like several speakers, from diverse nations and backgrounds, giving lectures and being filmed while doing so. Entertaining.

One of the most interesting experiences in London. Especially on Sunday when people come to the place and just scream and shout every opinion about anything they want to say like in a real democracy. From what I was told witch I don’t know for sure , but people on the place told me that you can talk about anything but you are now allowed to insult the Queen!

A hotbed of religious extremists from you know which faith. In the past there used to be more intelligent debates about politics and philosophy not my God is better than your God. It has become a place where such people are exploiting Freedom of speech but would never allow it if they were a majority.

The best place to express yourself but unfortunately unfortunately I have noticed that most of the people are mis using the area and trying to entertain others and theirselve too!

This place is an iconic spot in Hyde Park! 🏞️ Speakers' Corner 🗣️ in London 💂‍♂️ is a fantastic spot to visit on Sundays during your trip to London. 🇬🇧 Drop by to hear some speeches 💬 and debates. I wish I came here more often!

Highlight of my weekend in London had to be speakers corner. Mostly religious groups arguing but we found a debate e more suited to us about the enemy within our pants

I've never seen so many people with underlying issues debate with such comedic elegance. Incredible. This place does hold historical significance. One example are public riots broke out in the park in 1855, in protest over the Sunday Trading Bill, which forbade buying and selling on a Sunday, the only day people had off to buy things. The riots were described by Karl Marx as "the beginning of the English revolution.

Hilarious and fun afternoon listening to what some people have to say standing on their boxes. Freedom of speech so can say what they like. Some people say very offensive things but just walk away if you don’t like it. I found a few of them boring topics and most absurd but have to remember it’s what they want to talk about and their thoughts. Many people come off to the side in their own debates which you can join. Very interesting and worth the visit. It’s a feee event.

Visited to see the speakers corner that I have seen many times on videos on line so was somewhere I wanted to visit and see for myself it was very quiet when I visited but glad I got to see it for myself there is a snack shop I didn't get to see what they had to offer as had alot of things to see and limited time but great to know refreshments are available there and if they ain't open there is a convenience store across the road.

Speakers corner is an interesting and unique place with lots of colourful characters out speaking or heckling on a Sunday. Other days it can be busy as a summer walk in the park or the entrance to winter wonderland or a concert. Go on a off season grey damp day through and you will find it is a quite empty park which you can have almost all to yourself.

Visited on a Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed listening to the debates and speakers. An incredibly informative experience and a beautiful day, and topped off my first ever visit to London and Hyde Park brilliantly.

You are okay to debate with many people, but it is not okay film without any one permission. Enjoy many people accent and some bad and good ideas to be discussed in one place.

Not much to look at. But it is within Hyde Park and that is a fantastic morning walk. If you stand quiet and read the historical plaque you can imagine yourself in centuries past and decades past partaking of that which was social media of the time. A moment of solitude as needed.

A place for freedom of speech.. It was empty and nobody nearby. The real injustice to our freedom here is how 350 acres of land at the heart of London is kept locked throughout the night a real waste.

It’s a corner where people can speak about anything publicly. We were there on a Sunday morning and there were not much activity. In the later afternoon the booth was open that sells ice creams and drinks.

i kinda was but wasn't there... hyde park is massive! not too well signposted but who cares (well...), there were green parrots flying about, the park was really well looked after, no rubbish, no naff picnics with europop coming out of dave's bluetooth speakers. it really was a beautiful place of tranquility within the chaos of londonland. xo.
