Really good mall. Good amount of stores but it can get quite crowded during weekends. Good thing is the fact that they have free parking and theres enough spaces, even if you can't find some on the first 2 levels you will eventually find a space.

A nice shopping centre, with a good selection of shops and smart looking. The lake area is nice and good for a walk. At night the outdoor area looks smart.

Wanted to take the kids to the mini port electric boat hire. It was a lovely experience. Kids got to be in charge of the boat. Boat hire cost is £25 for a 5 seater. (You still pay the same price even if your less then 5). There are timings so better check before making plans. They do not take bookings so on a busy day you can expect to join the queue. We were lucky to directly get in the boat. Next to the electric boat hire, there’s Skuna BBQ boats. I have not tried the experience but really wanted too. You can book online on the skuna boats website, there are different locations to choose from. I was on their website and found it quite an interesting experience to do BBQ on the boat. Shopping centre has plenty of brand shops a massive food court and also many lakeside view restaurants. Only thing I regret is not many halal options to choose from. But, one of the amazing restaurant I came across was Coco Asia (halal). The restaurant looked quite lush but, with kids around we preferred to give a miss (only to go back there once day). By, all means you can take the children, there are no restrictions, I just found the restaurant too posh to go with my kids 🙈😂.

Attended the centre as part of the opening for a store and so was there all day. The place was busy but not crowded and I felt comfortable social distance-wise. The only downside was that I got totally lost looking for a bathroom, the signage in M&S was a bit sporadic, sometimes there were signs, sometimes not. Ended up walking around for ages!

The design of the shopping centre is quite modern which gives a nice feeling. It's worth for the money you pay, only one shop i felt was over priced. Amazing quality a bit hard to locate places on the maps. Has quality high standard shops, great customer service. Would definitely recommend

I've always liked Lakeside. I've been coming here for probably 25 years plus. When I lived at home, I used to come here with my Mum and we'd go for breakfast and then hit the shops. There's a really good variety of both eateries and shops. And the Boardwalk and lake are nice in the warm weather. Parking is also ample and free.

The Lakeside Shopping Centre is an expansive retail destination. It offers a variety of shops and eateries, ranging from popular brand-name stores to more affordable options. The centre is easily accessible by public transport and car, with free parking available for drivers. The facility is well organised and boasts three floors of shopping, with the third floor dedicated to food. The building is clean and well-maintained with amenities such as toilets and disabled access. The only downside is that finding your way around can be a bit tricky as the signage could be clearer.

This was my 1st visit to Bellla Italia at lakeside. The customer service was good. The starters were fine but main meal was average. My food was burnt on the top. Quite a shame as it was a family day out.

The Lakeside Shoppjng Centre is very big and there is a big variety of shops. However for this size of shopping center there are not enough toilets. It’s a bit of waste of time to walk all the way to different floors to find toilets, toilets are not clean and ventilation is very poor.

Big mall with most of the fashion outlets! Food court has some options as well. They also have lakeside restaurants which have a great view.

The shopping centre is big with lots of stores. 3 levels of shops and on the last level you find the dining area. The centre has a nice athmosphere , clean and tidy. The parking lot is very big but still gets full on weekends. Down side with the parking lot are the signs aren't to clear some points. The lake is nice you can rent small boats and just hang around the lake. You can spend good hours in the centre. Coming by public transport get off Chafford Hundred train station. Be prepared for heavy traffic on weekends and bank holidays. Best is by car. Close to the shopping centre are many other stores and eat-outs.

My wife is or should I was a dedicated M&S devotee we used to enjoy lunch and a shop, but now the restaurant is half the size it was and you have to queue up to use a screen like McDonald's to order you food, a greatly reduced menu and if you get it and it's a big if, you can't find anywhere to sit. Massive down turn in quality, we saw this and looked at what was available and turned round and walked out. Very disappointed.

4 stars as the parking here is free, but does get manic, overall the shopping centre is good lots of shops to browse around and some newer additions too, some shops look very dated and old. The food hall on the top floor is okay but seating does get packed and not everyone uses the bins or cleans up after themselves.

  • 4/5 Sharon W. 4 months ago on Google
Parked easy ..no charge Nice lunch at M & s new store ..no queing used new screens to order food and drink then it was brought to our table. Lovely idea i managed to work out how to use it ...but my mother who us 89 wouldn't have bothered to use it. Not to many people. Comfortable to walk around used the toilets nice and clean.

There are plenty of shops and options to explore. Free parking outside and inside is available. Loads of food options with plenty of Halal ones on offer, too. Most stores are 2 storey, so if the lifts are busy and you have a pram, use the store lifts to get around quicker.

Winter Wonderland at Lakeside was excellent. Almost nobody wearing a mask I felt like the exception. The big wheel, Bavarian food ie all the greats wete all there. There was a queue to get in to limit the numbers. Took about 30 minutes and it was cold, so wrap up warm.

Best shopping centre in essex, has almost every shop you could want. Centre is always clean, has ample parking and does not charge for parking which is an added bliss. The new outdoor area is fantastic with plenty of restaurants and activities for you to do. Great place to visit.

  • 4/5 Majid Ali I. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing shopping centre. Has everything you need here, from banks and financial services to shoe shops and Starbucks. We initially planned to go just to visit, and ended up spending a lot! Only reason it isn't 5 star is the rail station is quite long to access from the shopping centre, and the signs in the centre doesn't necessarily help as it could take you on a long walk.

Car park very handy for the shopping centre well marked and ready to get back to following there crumbs I laid down. Shopping centre huge and scary and very busy. An hour was enough. Poultry the map of the ships which has helpful is not translated to numbers on the shops so you can know you are going in the correct direction.

Nice indoor shopping, especially if you don't want to pay to go over the Bridge! Relaxed atmosphere, big M & S. Loads of parking spaces, will be getting busier as we head towards Christmas ⛄🌲

Kept mostly clean and is well laid out. Great for not just shopping but also for some evening or weekend entertainment. The only thing I can fault is the fact there is very little enforcement of the government covid guidelines from what I can see with the lack of face masks

Went to sleep8 bed shop. Staff are so friendly and very helpful. Their beds are amazing and there are so many different types of pillows to choose from. They are a bit pricey, but the beds are very good quality. I will definitely be getting a bed from there and their pillows too.

Winter wonderland seemed a little small. Eating area on top floor only had a few places left to sit. Good range of clothes shops. Plenty of free parking. A lot of eateries around board walk area seemed to be closed dinnertime in the week. We were looking for unit 7 but no unit numbers on the shops. Struggled to find the maps to view what was there, and was not easy to work out where the map was showing you in relation to your position. Others had the same issue. Not a great deal of seating spaces to stop and wait outside shops. Would have been nice to sit and just have an alcoholic drink, but wasn't sure if ba/eateries on 1st floor would serve drinks only at a lunchtime.

Amazing shopping Centre, free parking, Tesla super chargers station with plenty of space. Huge choice of restaurants, cinema, child friendly where you don’t have to worry about cars etc. Love the new M&S with great new coffee shop. What I love most is the free parking and child friendly where I don’t have to worry about cars driving erratically and the recent crazy weather of our, heavy rain

Quite a few shops closed or empty. As a dad, I am only aware of one place in the center that I am able to change my child. If you are not in the food court which has a baby changing room then you seem to only be able to change your child in the lady's toilets.

  • 4/5 Andrew W. 2 years ago on Google
Good Variety of shops, there was a good choice at the food gallery but not surprisingly it was a long wait to get anywhere to sit being only 2 weeks before Christmas. Nice to have free parking, other shopping centres take the mick by charging so much. So sad about 30% of people were suffering with a medical condition preventing them from wearing a mask, hope they get better soon.

Had a nice day at Lakeside. It has decent facilities, baby feeding, baby changing, toilets etc. Our toddler loved the train that they have going around the shopping centre. They have an impressive amount of activities to do for all age groups. Took one star off as the centre feels a little run down in places, particularly stairwells etc, also had trouble with lifts and some escalators not working.

This place buzzes with all kinds of shops. There are shops for expensive items and others where you want to save on spending.Young and older people seem to be excited in that atmosphere. The range of shops is extensive and it is likely that you will find something to wet your appetite for shopping and eating at the many popular eating spots available. It is great for having a day out.

Great shopping centre been for the first time recently. Set over several parks and a main centre is houses plenty of shops in a small area and in terms of the shopping centre itself all under one roof making it extremely good place if you need a variety of shops. Can get a little busy around Christmas time but this is to be expected and can also be busy to get in or out when the dartford bridge has congestion. Overall a great shopping experience for all people and will be returning here in the future :)

  • 4/5 Ashraf Ali K. 2 years ago on Google
Massive parking with mostly all stores. They have got German Doner Kebab for halal options. The Subway is not halal in the food court. There is one more subway in ground floor not sure if that's halal. Halal options are very limited they need to look in this. Other than that it's a good place for shopping

  • 4/5 Ammar H. 2 years ago on Google
Lakeside has seen some major changes in past few years with major stores closing and some stores moving around within the centre. Overall a good pleasant shopping experience with a good food court. Much better then Bluewater. Highly recommend a visit if never been there before.

  • 5/5 Ashley W. 2 years ago on Google
Free parking is always a great plus in my books. However, it was difficult to find a disability space. There are plenty of shops to look at and to go in too. It's lovely to see a clean and staff are on hand to help you if they are needed. The only sad thing is that not many people were wearing masks and in a pandemic they should be worn.

Lakeside Shopping Centre, I must say my last visit was before Covid and I always loved shopping here. Today's visit reassured me that there's no place like Lakeside. You will find all shopping outlets and plenty of places to eat out. It doesn't feel overcrowded with people like other shopping centres which I think helps with roaming around freely and shopping in your own time. Family friendly, there a kids area where you can leave your child whilst you shop. Highly recommended. 5*

Wow that place is huge!!! I was told it's quite big but I didn't expect it to be that big! Didn't have much time to explore, unfortunately so definitely need to go back there when I have all day just for shopping and after pay day obviously. Highly recommend though for shopaholic like me, if you wanna spend an entire day in a mall and a ton of money, then that's the place for u.

Lakeside Shopping Centre, is a large out-of-town shopping centre located in West Thurrock, Essex just beyond the eastern boundary of Greater London. It was constructed on the site of a former chalk quarry. The first tenants moved into the complex in 1988 and it was completed in 1990, being opened on 25 October of that year by Princess Alexandra of Kent, Marcus Bradford and Angus Ogilvy. New spaces in the red car park were added as in October 2019. The shopping centre, in addition to the retail parks, forms one of the largest shopping areas in a single location within Europe, with almost 2,600,000 square feet (240,000 m2) of retail space on a site of 200 acres (0.81 km2). The community of Chafford Hundred has grown to the east of the centre since its opening. Its main rival is the Bluewater Shopping Centre in Greenhithe, Kent, just across the River Thames.
