Conveniently located next to M1 junction. Really big shopping mall with lots of premium brands shops. Be prepared that you will easily spend there at least half a day browsing in shops. Also there is a decent choice of food outlets for all tastes. It has a good tram link connection to the city center. Also buses are available.

A huge shopping centre where you can get lost in. You can spend a day here if that's what floats your boat. Parking isn't a problem as there's indoor and outdoor parking (at this centre). Even the parking spaces are nice and wide and that's a pleasant surprise.

Travelled 2 hours from Durham to visit just for a look out. Bored with the hustle and bustle of our local MetroCentre as some of the shops we love have closed but still have stores within Meadowhall. Really enjoyed the experience seemed far better and relaxed than the Metrocentre Easy drive in and easy access back out on the motorway

Why Meadowhall? The equivalent of half the population of England shop here every year, its floor area is all twenty Premier League football pitches put together and its parking spaces end to end make a queue from Meadowhall to Leeds. Meadowhall was 31 years old in 2021, it's the biggest in Yorkshire and just one spot outside the top ten in the UK. It is apparently half owned the the Norwegian Government, was flooded to 1.8m deep in 2007 when the river Don burst its banks, but now is protected by flood gates. Out reviewer did his Christmas shop here in one morning, covering 10,000 paces at the same time. It is clean, there is very little you can't find here and we recommend it. The above stats we put together from info on Wikipedia.

I personally love Meadowhall, there's a great selection of shops and food options. The only downside to my last visit was how busy it was (my fault for going at the weekend 😅) I was very happy to see the steel heart was still there too!

A shopping center which offers every shop experience. From Poundland to Rolex. Also as a bonus there the shopping area called the Lane. There there is the shop under the stairs. Any Harry Potter fan it's a must . Photo opportunity pushing a trolley into a platform wall. . A prison wanted poster. Then there's the food court. I hate walking around shopping centers usually however kind of enjoyed this shopping center.

I don't generally enjoy visits to shopping centres but the parking here is usually fairly good. I heard from friends that it's especially busy in the build up to Christmas this year, despite being in Tier 3, so I waited until the evening when it was a lot quieter only to find the one-way system being broadly ignored by visitors, and even by the 'Social Distancing Marshals' (or whatever you would call them). I understand why there is a one-way system to get in and out of the centre, but it would be helpful if that information was easily available before you arrive.

First visit for a couple of years after being a regular. Way too busy, hardly a mask in sight. Left my shopping at M&S because the self service till was only interested in selling me a voucher. Not a place for the elderly. 😷🤕

Got something for most people. Clean and dry and some decent shops. Can get busy at a weekend but a mid week visit is just right if you like it a bit quieter.

Lovely place to shop and eat. Very helpful staff. It's no as busy as Trafford Centre, so it is easier to grab a bargain. The best part, they had ample free parking area. It had a wide variety of stores, deff will visit again. All in one place to eat, shop and relax

A shopping centre with everything under one roof! Affordable fashionable clothing stores. Coffee breaks. A spacious clean food hall with many choices where to eat from. Microwaves to warm up your own! Not too busy. And many seating areas to rest. Shops like Joe Brown which I myself love! And only meadowhall has an actual store in it! Family friendly place.

Every unit was full unlike the Metro Centre at Newcastle. The staff in all the shops, restaurants and Prosecco bar had friendly and cheerful outlooks. A great mix of designer and everyday run of the mill stores. Excellent.

An amazing place with so much festive vibe around Christmas. In general as well, a very clean n tidy place, a lot of stores (from brands), wonderful food court with options for everyone and the food options are reasonably priced. Ample parking that is clearly marked. Would highly recommend this place for shopping and leisure with family.

Pretty horrific! Queued for absolutely ages to get in just for the shopping centre to be absolutely rammed. Went straight to get food before shopping to discover you had to eat outside? Advertise this before people enter your premises and they’d go get food before entering?! Then to make it even crazier.. you can’t go to the toilet after buying food before you go to eat it outside in the freezing cold. In fact you are forced to leave it with a random man whilst you go toilet? We teach our girls not to leave their drinks unattended on a night out but hey you can leave your food with a random dude. Finally somebody was sick everywhere as they attempted to go to the toilet but was forced to go around the one way system. These are our human rights. FIX IT MEADOW HALL.

Toilets are always dirty so try not to spend a full day Wetherspoons for breakfast highly recommend Vue cinema is alway cold and over-priced try Cineworld instead Holland and Barrett really pricey try and get it online instead Boots, Poundland, WH Smith Jack Jones, Jacomo, Zara and Nando's is standard top marks ☆☆☆☆☆. Try somewhere else, better shopping centres to spend my time

Meadowhall Shopping Center, on the outskirts of Sheffield City Centre, offers the Shopper just about everything they could wish to find from a Shopping Mall and is well worth a visit, when you are able to do so... In comfortable and warm indoor surroundings, the Shopping Centre caters for everyone in some way, or other 🤔🛍️👍

Wasteful use of an inept "Security" ruined it for us. COVID restrictions forced us outdoors to eat a 5 minutes quick meal. But what they don't tell you is the 90 minutes it takes to get back in. Solely because an outsourced, non-initiative using "Security" company that does not use any IN/OUT counters, nor coordinate between Gates on their Radio's. Perhaps they might benefit and learn from a visit to the relatively miniscule Moor Market in the heart of Town? Little wonder the locals refer to it as "MeadowHELL". Otherwise a beautiful, sprawling Mall (good for those 12,000 daily steps!) that Sheffielder's should truly be proud-of.

Bland 1984'esque surveillance corporate space. CCTV on the look out for free thinking people. You will be expected to optimise your spending, moving from one shopping experience to the next, after paying to park your car at high rates. The big TV screen provides 24hr "ego stroking" messages about your mental health and how " we are all in this together". Mind control alert. Happiness is not to be found here.

Like this shopping centre, some really good shops on various levels, primark is massive, be aware of many not following rules of social distancing and mask wearing. Does get very very busy would advise people to go as early as they can. Parking is good, the car parks do get full, but we managed to find one on the upper level car park pretty quick.

I hate shopping malls but as they go this one’s ok. You can get almost everything you could wish for here. It wasn’t too crowded for early Xmas but as it gets closer I find it overwhelming with the amount of people that come. My favourite part has to be the small area with the Harry Potter shop and the incense shops and all the dragon stuff. I absolutely love these kinds of shops, wish there were more. The food court is great. Never been disappointed in here. Had Chinese this time and it was excellent. Getting seated was difficult but not impossible, whereas closer to Xmas will be a nightmare. If you’ve got the time and the energy then Meadowhall is the place to go.

Love it for shopping, nowhere compares as has shops you don't see in other places so go specifically for these. Good parking, clear signs inside, generally clean, some decent restaurants (pity more and more are becoming just big chains you can get anywhere though but there's still some that you don't see elsewhere but would be good to see them do more to support small businesses like an affordable rent section for street food vendors). Best thing is the opening hours so being able to go when it's not as busy.

Got there at opening time on a Monday morning so it was just nice and not too busy. Lots of new shops but some old favourites are gone but it didn't spoil our trip. Got busy but we'd done our shopping by that time. Worth a visit as there's plenty of free parking, shops, cafes and restaurants

What I really noticed was how many people there were in wheelchairs. The only reason this can be is due to lots of easy access to the shops and between floors. Then I noticed 100s of seats all over the place. Need a few minutes to rest, guarantee you'll find a seat.... Not a bench, a comfy seat to flop down in. I didn't see a speck of rubbish. Loads of good shops. Easy parking. A lot of other shopping centres could learn from meadowhall.

The centre itself is lovely, great shops. However. We stopped here as the website advertised baby feeding facilities, we did eventually find the mums feeding room and my partner said it was so hot in the room. We have to top up her feeding and there wasn’t anywhere inside that room to heat milk. So I had to go looking. My biggest concern was getting into the center. Someone got a bit happy putting in posts. Random thing to moan about but we parked in a empty car park at the back of what looked like Debenhams. And walked but there were posts everywhere blocking our route with the buggy. We walked past a disabled drop off area and I don’t know if someone in a wheel chair could of got to the centre via this route. See the photos. So not really buggy friendly.

Fabulous shopping centre. Has everything you need, a wide variety of food and shops, both chains and independents. Very clean and well kept. Plenty of free parking, however use of parent and child spaces requires registering with the Scheme inside to ensure you have the right to use it. Good transport links.

A good place to shop... but why can't people follow the directions on the floors. Its meant to keep us all safe and avoid the obvious issues the world is facing. When you have a number of people all walking towards you.... THINK THINK THINK... YOU MIGHT BE GOING THE WRONG WAY.....

  • 5/5 Andy A. 3 years ago on Google
Extremely busy but good. Watch the sales... the shops I bought from had sales but the things I bought were not in them! Always check the price as not a lot is marked down, there are just signs that give a percentage reduction which always seems to be on something else.

Went for a click and collect item and found a click and collect parking space right near the entrance. It is a fairly large shopping center, although unfortunately given the situation we are going through it is a bit confusing to travel through the center, the indications are not very clear and the route becomes somewhat tedious. I think they could have made these measurements with less confusion by putting more indications that tell you where to go ... Since most of it is closed and does not indicate very well how to move without having to go all the way around.

  • 4/5 gordon s. 3 years ago on Google
Very good shopping centre with plenty of parking good selection of shops however at the moment there is no eating or drinking allowed in the centre even though some food outlets are open you have to take it outside to consume it. Shopping at Meadowhall has never been like this before. Hardly anyone inside walking the mall, only a handful of the shops open which is very restrictive. Boots WH Smith's and similar shops plus of course the reason for our visit M& S food hall. Still it was worth the while. A nice walk round and of course the food shopping. All very safe, plenty of hand cleaning stations etc good control in the shops we visited.

Overall a good experience. Very well done 👍

Shed loads of parking. Well laid out shopping centre, good amount of toilets etc. Great mixture of shops that are clean and well lit, good disabled access. Some nice historic statues outside as well, which is a nice touch giving a nod to the history of the place.

Meadowhall is a huge shopping mall with a abundance of shops and a large food court. It spans 2 floors and has a peaceful yet fun atmosphere.

  • 5/5 Katie R. 2 years ago on Google
An amazing amount of choices for shops. Literally everything you possibly need can be found. Provided with multiple display maps so you don't have to worry about getting lost and there's a fill area dedicated to food so you don't need to worry about getting hungry. Recommend for a shopping trip!! Maps are very very useful if your going for the first time because its like a maze!

A very Large shopping mall, with very nice and niche stores. Very reminiscent of malls in Dubai and their food court is quite rich and diverse too.

Unfortunately not my idea of heaven...if I had my way , I'd never go again...far too many people milling about with seemingly little or no idea where they're going or why. But wifey insisted we needed to go and as the saying goes...happy wife , happy life. On the plus side though...due to us arriving relatively early, parking wasn't a problem.. and once inside..after we'd got what we went for, we decided to have a bite to eat...again ample space to sit and eat...and no big queues at the available eateries in the Oasis area. Was a little surprised though at just how many empty units there are in there.

Like to come here when on holiday. Today's visit was made more enjoyable because the process for charging an electric vehicle is so easy! Just if in and go - wonderful. Had a nice time visiting too many shops😂 Also managed to find the bears: see attached example...

Great place for shopping. Very convenient. Good accessibility. Maps all around and signposts as well. The Lane in particular is a chill place to find groovy stuff !!

This is a nice big Shopping Mall on two levels with a variety of shops, a Food Hall and Vue Cinema. There is plenty of Free unlimited parking. Easy to find with Google maps and close to the motorway and other retail parks. There are Train, Tram and bus stops here I think. Inside there are plenty of toilets and seating if you fancy a rest, a food hall with a variety of outlets including McDonald's, Frankie and Bennys, KFC, and many more with plenty of seating.

I enjoyed meadow Hall, and the staff were very helpful. It was very crowded though, and not many people were wearing masks. The food court was good.

Very large inside. Unless you go regularly your familiarity with the shops make the mall smaller. I am glad l went with friends otherwise l would have been wandering around blindly. But l enjoyed the outing.

Although very busy we knew what we wanted and a spot of lunch. Went to Harvester very covid safe environment. Food was excellent and staff were great. Not many people wearing masks so if you are still unsure about busy places best to avoid meadowhall. Overall though a good experience. Busy because the kids are off school this week though .

Very busy shopping centre, but plenty of parking and loads of disabled bays! Lifts are a bit poor only for a couple of wheelchair users in considering the size of this place I think the lifts need improvement! Lots of main stores that you would expect and plenty of coffee shops and eateries! They have a disabled toilet room which has a hoist and changing adjustable bed! Enjoyed the centre but expect the crowds and with this awful Covid-19 about wear your mask!

A real disappointment. I started visiting here as a pre-Christmas treat about 20 years ago and it was brilliant but all of the good shops that made it so much fun have all gone. Most of the folk there today don't appear to have heard of COVID as they were all unmasked. Clearly not a bright lot, as every shop had sanitizing gel at the entrance as a reminder!!

  • 2/5 Mr T. 2 years ago on Google
Popped my score from 5 to 2 stars because with all the fancy new paint, what's the point if there is hardly any shops left. There is no choice anymore, just clothes and food. What a place this was when it first opened in the 90's. Could spend 8 hours in here, now I find it hard to spend 1 hour in here. Shutterhall is its new nickname, that's if you take time to look around and notice all the blended in white painted wooden shop fronts.

  • 4/5 Elisa 2 years ago on Google
Well maintained shopping centre with plenty of parking and access. The range of restaurants and socialising places is great and well thought out locations for WCs. Less clothing retailers than I had hoped for, considering the size of the store but it was pleasant enough to walk around. I'd probably come back again if I was in the area.

Love it here. Good free parking although we travelled there by train yesterday which was stress free. Good selection of shops but I did miss Debenhams. Quire busy but people were being sensible and wearing masks.

  • 5/5 Tom N. 2 years ago on Google
Brilliant place, lots and lots of shops, perfect for just wondering around to pass time or to grab gifts for the people you love, or even yourself. Lots of selection, choices of food, great bathroom and baby change facilities. Well worth a visit I'm my opinion.

Not bad, Sunday lunchtime and not to packed still a lot of people not wearing masks (hope there illness isn't too painful but I suppose ya can't fix stupid). But apart from that is was ok, loads of shops selling the same stuff and is it me or is stuff getting more expensive? Anyway give it try, you may regret it or you may not.

I've always enjoyed making the 2hour trip to shop here and wrongly thought that with it being so big, it would feel safe to have a day out. It was so busy with most if not all of younger people walking around with no masks 😕, no distancing, nothing. Security tried their best to tell people to get their masks 😷 on but were ignored 😒. Couldn't wait to leave and only hope I haven't caught anything. Will not be returning for a very long time.

Great shopping experience. Loads of shops under one roof but would say it has become more up market with its shops overall. Would suggest to management if they read a one way system during busy times to help with flow and Covid-19 control. Also of note plenty of parking which is free was also a nice surprise.

  • 4/5 Cheryl W. 2 years ago on Google
Not too busy as we arrived early. Shame so many empty units, but aware of major companies going under. We were able to move around comfortably so able to keep the 2m rules. We got nearly everything we wanted and it was a nice day out. It was nice to actually shop properly instead of online.

  • 2/5 T M. 2 years ago on Google
Astonishing to see large numbers of people not wearing masks in this place. Omicron is the most infectious form of covid so far, but there seemed to be no attempt from security to try and get these antisocial individuals to conform. I won't be visiting again in the near future.

I have been to Meadowhall in Sheffield where I have been to Claires, Primark, the Works and Subway because the shopping center in Sheffield is amazing and I loved it there and it has got a lift, the stairs and escalators in this shopping centre and I loved Meadowhall it is so amazing and it is good for all the family and I loved this shopping centre which is good for all the family at Meadowhall.

Positives : free parking, very clean, great choice of shops. Many brilliant eating places. Negatives : for me personally, there are no windows, or walkways with windows. You have to go to an exit to get a breath of fresh air, which can be quite a walk. But that is just how I feel. Overall it is good for a visit.

Haven't been for a few years due to Covid. Was a bit nervous if I'm honest but even though it was busy it wasn't heaving and was able to keep our distance. It is a massive shopping center with all the major retail shops, a large food hall, cinema, banks etc. A great place if you're a shopaholic we'd had enough after a couple of hours and we hadn't covered half of it. Not a great fan if I'm honest

Me and my friend had a fantastic time at this shopping centre, with a grand area that has depictions of shattered glass hanging down and glorious glass roofed areas including one like a dome! Using escalators is a slick way of navigating the shopping centre, something that is aided by numerous signs directing towards the variety of shops. I bought a delicious Oreo and caramel cookie for a decent price and the toilets were clean upon my visit, just like the rest of this centre!

Meadowhall shopping centre. Went to find some place to stop by going from Yorkshire to London and I found this big shopping centre in Sheffield. Had a breakfast in Frankieandbennys. Our other group went to eat in Jollibbee! They have a big food court. They also have large parking spaces. I think it was 2hrs and 50mins drive to London and less than hour drive to Yorkshire. They have a Harry potter shops anime and USA jerseys located near the food court And lots of shops. I haven’t went all of them but will comeback next time.

What a gem of a shopping centre, we came here for a bite to eat. before heading elsewhere and were nicely surprised as to how lovely Meadowhall was. A large mall conveniently located next to M1 junction with lots of parking. Loads of premium branded and hughstreet stores and a great choice of food outlets for all tastes.

Meadowhall is a fantastic shopping center that offers a wide variety of stores and facilities. I have visited multiple times and have always been impressed by the cleanliness and organization of the mall. The layout makes it easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. The selection of stores is excellent, ranging from high-end luxury brands to more affordable options. The food court is also great, offering a diverse range of cuisine options. The staff is always friendly and helpful, making the shopping experience even more enjoyable. The parking is ample, and I have never had any issues finding a spot. Overall, I highly recommend Meadowhall for anyone looking for a great shopping experience in a modern and well-maintained environment.

This was the first time I'd been in ages. Not too busy. Good selection of shops but Oasis sadly lacking in places for nice cakes and coffee. Eventually went to Macdonalds and did have nice coffee and cake. Major problem for old people is the distance to walk from train to the actual shops. It is a long hot walk.

I was picking up some friends from York, and we stopped here for some lunch on our way back, very surprised by a nice and airy space with a good selection of restaurants. Oh and a great little independent shop stocking lots of lovely artisan products from scented candles to art work have a look next time your there.

A few new shops have popped up since my last visit. It was clean and the restaurants all had available seating. It's OK if you like big, busy shopping malls. I prefer open air.

4/5 Lots of (somewhat expensive! 😅) shops to indulge in. Loved the free parking, always useful! A little tricky getting up & down a floor with a pram + non-lift goer since the stairs & lift are not next to each other. Quite specific to our situation, I am aware, but still had to keep playing where's Wanda with my fianceé. P.S. Prepare for it to be BUSY if going @ a weekend.

Review for the beach retreat. For something aimed at families who perhaps can't afford a holiday the prices are disgusting £2.50 pp just to get in Birminghams version is free entry and bigger. Price of food is higher than eating inside the oasis and 3 tokens for a ride on a helter-skelter is disgusting. Avoid you will be fleeced

I have visited Meadowhall since I was about 10 years old due to living fairly close by. The shopping centre is great for a 1-2 times a year visit, with some really good clothes and beauty shops with such a range of items you wouldn't normally be able to find close to home. Parking is always easy with plenty of spaces available close to the store. If visiting, make sure to arrive as early as possible, as shopping here will definitely take up your whole day easily, with need to buy food at the dining area. The shops are diverse and have lots to offer, but some are not as good as others. The large clothing stores are great, and the range of shoe shops also useful. The food options in the dining area are great, with areas dotted around for some healthier options. The shops are all accessible by lifts, stairs, and escalators, with wheelchair accessible parking. Definitely a great place to visit.

An inviting place to shop, dine and be entertained. Free Parking and a covered lower deck for those not so nice weather days. Even when it's busy it is somehow relaxing with it's clean walkways and cool decor inviting you to explore the vast array of shops and then maybe take a break with a relaxing coffee or meal or even see a film. My favourite shopping experience.....

Great place for a family visit or just for some solo retail therapy. There is a great selection of shops and stores. I especially like the little quirky shops in The Lanes near the food court. They are always my favourite place to visit on a shopping trip. I do prefer to go on weekdays and during term time as Medowhall can get to hectic and sometimes overcrowded for my liking. But overall its a great day out.
