Do not believe 5* reviews, as this hotel engages in the morally reprehensible practice of giving free services (luggage storage) in return for dishonestly positive reviews. Will flag to Google. Clean. All the detriments of a capsule hotel with none of the benefits. Bed okay. Instead of pillows, you'd probably get the same level of comfort with an A4 sheet of paper. No cups in bathroom. Single bath towel, no hand towel. Noisy air conditioning, low water pressure in shower. Free drinking water at reception if you have your own bottle. This is no-frills in the guise of eco-consciousness. Was considering a kinder review, but went to leave my luggage with reception. In true easyGroup style, it was £5 to store luggage for a couple of hours. Or you could leave a 5* review to get it for free. You can guess which I chose. Reception staff were friendly, but because the day staff had not typed up any of the guest details the day before, no-one could get an invoice, leading to frustration and queues and grumbles of "not doing their job" from the morning staff.

easyHotel? More like easily the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. This hotel is a bare-bones establishment. My room had a bed and a bathroom, that's it. It felt like I was staying in a private room in a hostel, but paying hotel prices. Make it make sense. There was no dresser or hangers for clothes. No nightstand or table to put your things. Not even a cuck chair to sit down on so you don't have to get your outside clothes on the bed. The bed was uncomfortably stiff, accompanied by lackluster pillows. The absence of a window in my room gave it the ambiance of a Scandinavian prison cell. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and accommodating. For a more budget-friendly option, I'd recommend opting for a private room in a hostel, or consider the Holiday Inn Express down the road. This experience deserves a 1/10 rating – best to steer clear.

Overall stay was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location also excellent - very close to underground, restaurants and bus stops. This hotel is perfect for solo travellers or couples that just need a place to shower and sleep for a short stay. There is really no room to do anything else/ store large luggage. I think people forget the fact that this is a budget hotel and it is perfect for that reason! Cleanliness could be improved. There was some disgusting brown stuff on my curtain which made me question how clean the rest of the room was.. it’s not like it was a subtle mess either. Other than that, my stay was alright

We left after seeing the room and took our losses - booked somewhere else and didn’t stay the night. The corridors smelt of cigarettes, the walls were paper thin so we heard crazy loud music next door, the rooms are coffin size and the ‘double bed’ was a single and a half. Truly grim. Maybe ok if you were just crashing. Staff nice though, can’t fault them, not their fault. We are cool with basic and clean and expected something resembling a travelodge/Ibis - this is far worse: never again. For 100€ more we got a 5* round the corner.

I booked this room for the evening before a matinee at the Barbican Theatre, which was minutes away on foot and seemed perfectly located (it was - it only took longer to get there due to poor map reading). The foyer was bright and welcoming, and everything seemed well, especially given the accessibility needs of my partner. As such, we required a room with further accessibility, which was available. When we got in to the room, it was another story. We had no illusions that it would be luxury, and were expecting a fairly unfurnished, box room with a uncomfortable bed for the night, so that wasn't an issue. However, it seemed that it being a room with an accessibility function, its design and the cleanliness seemed like an after thought. The bathroom furniture (wall bars and shower seat), was rusted, not mechanically sound and in terrible repair. The sink leaked on to the bathroom floor and the handle for the toilet was hanging by a thread and actually needed multiple rotations to catch in the mechanism. As such, my partner required my assistance to use the bathroom and to use the shower as the furniture was not fit for purpose. My partner also has a 'normal' sized wheelchair, and the space between the bed and the wall meant that the bathroom was not accessible without my assistance. In addition to this, the floor did not appear to have been swept and as such, my partner got a tiny piece of glass in her foot. Looking at the photos that have been posted, if you don't need an accessible room, you'll be fine. Those who do, beware. This is a long shot from the excellent service you receive from the more well known Easy brand.

Stayed here for a work trip. The hotel is in a good location close to Old St tube station. The rooms are very (very!) compact but functional. Basically a clean comfortable place to sleep. One small issue in the room was that one of my plug sockets by the bed was broken (I needed 2). The view was non existent too. Just some natural light in the room.

Room was comfortable, clean and a really good price and location. Building feels safe as several doors can only be accessed with a room key. Staff are super friendly! We loved chatting when checking in and checking out. Really friendly and always happy to help. Highly recommend.

I arrived at about 11pm on a Sunday. I was greeted by night manager who, with the nice guy on the desk checked me in. I’d requested a high floor and paid for a room with a window. I asked if there was a higher room available and was told no without anyone checking. So I got a ground floor room with a skylight. The blind was almost shut with no way to open so I got the worst of both world - no outside world but when the sun came up it shone directly in my face. The room was basic but the bed was comfortable and there were plenty of plugs. I would stay here unless I was alone. No room for bags, moving around the bed or indeed in the bed. Would I stay again. Only if very cheap.

Second time staying at this location. Booked a room with window but was smaller than the room I had the first booking but not that they have big rooms I adjusted. The AC was not working and was changed to another room so I appreciated that. But that same room had a leak from the shower so when exiting the shower there was water puddled up all in the bathroom then noticed it also went out to the room and soaked my bags. But the new room was fine. The rooms don’t have phones so being a visitor to the UK and not having a UK number and to have to call reception at a roaming cost hurt only for them to say I’d have to go down to reception to pick up a hairdryer. Even that I only had an hour to use it and return it. I feel there could be improvements on service. The guy at night told me it was fine if i left my bags for a few hours after checking out but in morning the guy said I had to pay to leave my bags which contradicted what the guy prior to him said. Especially after this individual was who dealt with my room issue and should have been more accommodating and not asked me to pay. Anyways recommend this place for budget stays in Shoreditch Old Street area.

First time with easy hotels and it was absolutely fantastic. Bruno was very welcoming and funny during check in, the room was perfectly clean and they have brand new mattresses that are super comfortable! The rooms are on the smaller side but it was okay after long hours of walking in London, we just went straight to sleep every time. The location is also really good with loads of bars, restaurants and near tube stations. Eduardo was also very nice and friendly when we checked out and helped us choosing a nice breakfast place. Will definitely be coming back soon

Clean, but extremely small. Only choice was a room without a window. Don't do that mistake. Very tiny and claustrophobic. Only one hand towel for two adults and barely toilet paper. I would name those rooms, micro rooms. I am sure they have another option.

We arrived rather late and we were immediately welcomed by excellent service. Beth is patient, knowledgeable and ready to help out. On our way to dinner we asked for an extra towel and she promptly said she would've brought it in our room. When we came back, the room was nicely decorated with petals and heart balloons...and we didn't even underline that we were on our honeymoon! The room is small but clean, practical and quiet. Deserves 5 stars!

Price quality wise the hotel is great! Centrally located and a 5 minute walk from Old Street metro station. Busstop is right out the door. Straight across the hotel you will find a 24/7 supermarket and an amazing breakfast spot (a pinch of salt). The price for a centrally located hotel is great BUT know that the price gives you a small room. As most of the centrally located hotels in this price range it's only a bed and bathroom and that's it. The size of the room wasn't an issue for us. The climate control was. It was very humid and warm. We did address it to reception and he did all he could (with result). But due to the small space it quickly becomes very humid once you shower or use a hairdryer. Another point for the room is the bed, in particular the mattress, it makes a lot of noise. The service was great, Eduardo is a charm! Very nice and helpful guy.

I'll consider here a positive review. I was worried by the negative Google reviews after booking, but I found quite a few from a long time ago. This hotel has obviously been redecorated and the rooms are small but new and clean. Not going to complain about anything considering the price I paid. The TV is useless, you guys at least add some cabinets for easy access to my belongings.

Mattress is very cheap and uncomfortable. About 2 hours sleep as my back is in agony. Apart from that, the room is fine and clean, location is great. Staff very good.

Stayed here for a long weekend and the location was amazing - you can get to the old town really quick and on foot. Staff was wonderful. Super helpful with everything, good tips for the area and always welcoming. Rooms sadly can only be a three due to them being just tiny and the toiletries being the same thing for hair and body - just not my piece of cake. But again, totally worth it for a long weekend trip.

Lovely staff who welcomed us out of the rain when we needed it most. They immediately offered us towels to dry ourselves which was very much appreciated. Love the carbon-friendly processes, equipment etc. Will definitely use EasyHotel again in the future over Premier Inn and Holiday Inn due to the price too.

Location very central, Rooms a bit small, but for the price in London totally fine (we paid way less than any Airbnb room rental!). Just don't expect to have a big room. On the other side very fresh and very clean rooms. Not that common in London!

We has a great stay here! The location is perfect and has everything you need (close to the tube station) and a 10 min walk to Farringdon to get directly to the airport line. Lots of restaurants nearby and Aldi/MS is a short walk as well. Probably my favorite location to stay in London (local but not too touristy) Eduardo is very friendly and so helpful as well as all the other staff here! Rooms are very compact and beds are a tad smaller for two people but it has essentially everything you may need for a short stay!

Clean, modern room and bathroom. Staff very helpful and nice, asked for extra blanket and they got one sent to my room. Just nice friendly staff with a positive attitude in reception. Lovely stay, nice area with a great coffee shop for breakfast across the road, recommend it

This place was fantastic. We were over for the weekend for the Star Wars celebration so we really just needed somewhere cheap and cheerful to sleep and it exceeded our expectations. I asked prior to the stay if I could get a room near a lift because I’m pregnant and will be walking all day so would be exhausted by the time we got back to the hotel and we were placed near the lift with no issues. The rooms were small but this is advertised prior to booking so we were more than happy with the room and the bed was beyond comfortable. The staff couldn’t be more friendly, genuinely caring and so helpful. We cannot wait to come back!

This hotel was perfect for what we needed, spending most of our time outside in the city. The staff were very nice and helpful, particularly Muna and Zara, as we collected our things and were in a time of flex between hotel and flying out. Thank you so much for a clean and quiet place to stay 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Having stayed at this hotel a few times recently, I feel I have to leave a review! First of all the value is outstanding for London. The location is perfect. I used to regularly get the last train back having been out in London for socialising. But recently, upon discovering this hotel, I’ve opted to stay overnight and have a comfy sleep instead! My most recent stay was on Friday the 21st April. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly and smiling, reception staff. Check-in was quick and easy and the room was perfect for our needs. Very clever design and noticeably clean throughout. I have to say I have never had a bad night sleep at this hotel, the rooms must be very well sound insulated, as I am a light sleeper, but I have not woken up. I will have no hesitation about booking this hotel again, and again, thanks to its value, location, cleanliness and friendly staff

A clean, comfortable room, although small, was good value for money. It’s in a great location with Old Street tube station a very short walk. Lots of great pubs and restaurants in the vicinity too. The staff were very friendly and helpful!

The location is good because you're close to many of the important places in London, however the room set is quite a minimal but yet functional. Above all, the best part is the kindness of the employees in particular Muna and Zara who save me from losing my GPS device that I left in the lobby. I am really glad that these guys were working on that day.

The location and price are excellent, even the staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful! and I am very satisfied with this, however there are some problems: - I paid for extra cleaning and it wasn't done, I reported the problem to the reception and they didn't even refund me - The "accessible" room had no wardrobe to put your clothes in, and no furniture, it's ridiculous - The bed was a bit uncomfortable

Remember to use HotelTully.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rates much cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is the best rated in the area. I have been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you definitely won't be disappointed. Room was comfortable, clean and a really good price and location. Staff are super friendly! We loved chatting when checking in and checking out. Really friendly and always happy to help. Highly recommend.

I have booked this hotel from Sat 2 oct and checking out Wednesday am the cosy of my room is £365. I am really disappointed as the room advertised looks bigger in the picture but the actual room is really small. There is no restaurant on site... There is no desk and no kettle. If you want luxury this hotel is not for you... I am not sure why and how other people are paying £29.00 to £40.00 a night??

The Hotel is really good to explore the amazing city of London. Bus and metro stations are close by and even supermarkets are nearby. The hotel staff is very gentle and helpful. The room is very basic (in the barrier-free room was no hook for towels) but it’s fine to sleep.

  • 5/5 Daniel C. 1 year ago on Google
Staff is very friendly and great. This hotel is very good for its value. Be reminded that this is the bare minimum because it's really small and has only a bed and bathroom. It's mainly just for sleeping and showering nothing else. I would like to emphasize that the staff is superb and highly recommend if you want to just sleep and shower

I was quite afraid what the hotel will be like because of the low score here, but it was excellent! I got the double room with window which was spacious (my colleague did get a much smaller one, so I'd say she wasn't as thrilled :D), clean and everything was in order and working well. The receptionist was super nice, as well as the manager who came out to greet us when we were checking in. Very nice stay and I'll be coming back here for sure.

Fire alarm went off at 4am. Full strobe light and alarm in our room. Got my clothes on to head down then told it was just a false alarm. Shower head rachet would not stay in position so I had to hold the shower head myself. Could no longer security lock the room door from inside after the fire alarms for some reason. Paid for a room with a window. The window was sealed shut. So fresh air was not an option. Checked out before my stay was over as they can provide the facilities I had paid for.

I stayed a week. NEGATIVE: - Very small room - One side of the bed leaning against the wall - Very uncomfortable mattress - Room cleaning only on Wednesdays - No wardrobe only two hangers - Shower leaks and the floor gets wet - Not even a glass in the bathroom - Window facing a small darkness courtyard - Window cannot be opened - Bad smell in corridors POSITIVE: - very nice staff.

Booked a basic room, no window. Great service at the desk. Lovely lady told me everything I needed to know. A little disappointed I had to pay for wifi. Not sure if other rooms have it as standard. Very clean through out

  • 4/5 Haris R. 2 years ago on Google
The rooms are a box size, which is what you would expect for a budget hotel. The hotel is overall clean. The room has a frosted glass for for a toilet and doesn’t have a lock. So keep that in mind before booking if travelling with friends. WiFi also costs extra and having a pet also costs extra.

  • 3/5 Joe W. 2 years ago on Google
Relatively good value for money. Since of the fixtures and fittings were dodge or broken e.g shower head holder. But for£40/ night it's perfect

  • 3/5 Alex K. 2 years ago on Google
Cheap. £8 an hour and worth not a penny more. Lumpy mattress, noisy corridor, mostly clean.

I had a perfect stay here! Bruno and Nevita were very welcoming and kind on check-in. David was wonderful on check-out, very quick! I would definitely stay again, the shower was powerful and the bed was okay. there was a couple things that needed looking at like the quality of the mattress and the floor was very dusty but all together was a good experience.

  • 1/5 Eleonora v. 2 years ago on Google
Although the staff was lovely, and very helpful (always available, very kind, and could get extra towels and blankets anytime), the room was RIDICULOUSLY TINY - no windows, no ventilation, no space. We went in winter, so I dread to think of the suffocation one might experience in summer. The architect of this monstrosity should be forced to live in his haineous creation as a punishment for the crime against humanity that is this building. Overpriced for the absurdly uncomfortable room you get. Also, if you want to leave your bags at the desk (we had to, because of an early flight & the late check-in), they charge you for that as well. Thieves.

Low budget hotel. It has everything basic you need to spend the night. A bed and a bathroom. Usb charging ports by the bed on both sides. Air conditioning. The only minus is, that you don’t get a toilet brush in the bathroom. I was over all satisfied with the stay. Nice service (24 hour reception)

  • 5/5 Captain S. 2 years ago on Google
Room 103 was quite a bit more spacious than the previous rooms I've frequented in recent months, however the smell of human feces coming up from the shower really made the eyes water💧including the japs eye 💦💦💦

  • 2/5 Eimear O. 2 years ago on Google
Tiny rooms, extra charges for basic services. Need to request towels and hair dryer at reception. Window view directly into an office, not ideal during the week.

  • 4/5 Fern Y. 1 year ago on Google
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I came in a big group with my colleagues and they took our questions patiently, taking care of multiple requests at once. Don’t come expecting huge rooms or a ton of amenities (kettle in room etc.)—this isn’t the place for that. But the rooms are clean, there’s sufficient space to open your suitcase lengthwise, beds are comfy and, I say again, the staff are so kind. Thank you!

  • 4/5 madhumitha a. 1 year ago on Google
No frills but very friendly staff and easy accessibility to my office at Old Street. When I had issues in my room, the staff was very proactive in getting it fixed. My only qualm was the lack of a kettle in the room. Would really appreciate being able to borrow a kettle from reception, especially in winter.

  • 4/5 Prue B. 1 year ago on Google
I cannot fault the front of house pair, check-in was amazing, the service was amazing, their knowledge of the local area was amazing .. The place has everything a business included in the advertised. I simply can't give the place full marks though. There was unnecessary mould in my shower, and my bathroom had not been cleaned to a high standard with the long dark hair of the last occupant very visible on the floor.

This was a perfect location for our trip to London. Enough outside of the city for it to be extremely quiet, but close enough to bike or walk in! The room was small, but definitely had what we needed, along with A/C, so we were infinitely grateful. We would definitely stay again!

  • 3/5 Liz M. 1 year ago on Google
Very sparse room. I accidentally booked a disabled room (although it's not very clear on their booking system). They don't tell you that you have to put your key card in the slot in order to get the electricity to work in the room. No coffee making facilities. Exceptionally friendly staff though

  • 3/5 Ross N. 1 year ago on Google
Staff were great & polite helpful. The reception was very hot and stuff which was weird considering our room had AC. We went for a standard room with window - go for the window - the rooms are VERY small but clean and fresh. The biggest problem was lack of anywhere to put anything - 2 fixed hangers and a very small shelf is your lot. We stayed for 3 nights and honestly it drive me nuts. Please just add a few shelves in the room and a couple of hooks in the bathroom. I wouldn't want to spend any more than a long weekend in the room but for what we paid it was great - just expect to live out of your bag.

  • 4/5 Andu B. 1 year ago on Google
I know that as a super budget hotel, you only offer the basics for a good night sleep, which are bed, shower, and warmth. We even got a sink and some coat hangers. But you guys should really add a toilet brush to the stuff you provide. Staff was really nice. Great stay overall.

It's a shame to leave such a low review because the staff are all absolutely incredible! I would absolutely leave a 5 star for each of the staff that we dealt with because they were great! The hotel itself was pretty shoddy. Clean nough but that's about as far as it goes, no TV working in the room, shower was pretty poor and there was no food in the vending machine (small issue I know!) I think for the money paid to stay here there are much better options available!

Really good. The guy (Seyi) who attended us in the reception really nice. The rooms are quiet, we expected them a little bigger. The bathroom is okay too. It was all very clean and well prepared for new visitors. To stay for two or three nights, really nice.

I stopped here on a business trip so it was chosen as it was close to where I needed to be. The check in process was easy and it felt like I had a warm welcome. The room was clean, fresh and compact. There were two hooks in the main room, a mains point and a little cubby space to balance my glasses in. The bathroom was small and could have benefited from some hooks for a towel and clothes etc. In conclusion the hotel was fine but I felt like it was very expensive given the lack of features.

I stay at Easy Hotel Shoreditch pretty much every week for work. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the location ideal. Just what you need. However what sets this hotel apart for me is the service from the friendly team. Nothing is too much trouble. I’m always greeted with a smile and whenever I have a query, it’s dealt with promptly and by an actual person.

The rooms are small. But we did manage even with a 5 year old with plenty of pent up energy. 90% of the staff were really fab but one was a bit dosy and gave us extra pillows without pillow cases. House keeping sorted it out without us even asking the next day though. Great location. The coffee could be better (and free) but the room was good and cheap. Clean and comfortable beds.

I have recently stayed at the EastHotel London City Shoreditch and I have to say my stay was fantastic! It's an easy hotel, so don't anticipate the world's most spacious rooms. But they are clean, secure, quiet, individually heater, have decent bathrooms. You have to ask for a hairdryer and stuff but, for the price, the room is adequate. What was incredible, is the staff. The lady who greeted us was insanely friendly and informative. Genuinely one of the best check in experiences I've had. The other staff were fantastic in the small interactions I had with them.
