Churchfields Recreation Ground

Park

👍👍 Great open space and playground. Update: Google has finally corrected the name!! Shame Google Maps can’t get the name correct though, it is really “Churchfields Recreation Ground”, (have suggested an edit, - many time!, so may get corrected one day) People often mention walk, playground,

Sloping gently southwards toward the bordering River Brent with the historic railway Viaduct as a backdrop. A Horse Chestnut Lined pathway with scattered trees over an expansive former hay meadow with a playground, courts, a maze and mini zoo count among the repertoire of well maintained amenities. Also a recognised conservation area - a boast to the local community and worthy of wider recognition. Recommended ? Of course.

The park is lovely local place to walk with the evening sunset. The main walk is about 800 meters which is tree lined (10 minutes easy walk loop, can be a bit muddy after the rain), then you can walk towards the river Brent on a slopping path with the viaduct above.

This park and the neighbouring parks, river and canal are a lovely place to have s walk. There is a small zoo which is nice for children as is the playground and maze. The viaduct and the trees are beautiful especially in the autumn.

Kids loved it. Plenty to keep kids active even if it gets fairly busy. Friendly family place.

A large park /field with some sports facilities, a playground and numbered posts at intervals so people (I assume runners) can know how far they have gone. The Northern end is particularly attractive with views of St Mary's Church nearby.

Uncrowded today (mid August) with equipment for all ages up to 11. Perhaps many children are on holiday with their parents or in some cases have gone to Poland to stay with grandparents while their parents here work. Mix of ages and backgrounds, playing together. No litter, well maintained. Very few children today (April 23), just back to school. No litter.

Bunny park a Very refreshing surrounding. Enough equipment for childerns to play. A small zoo… very popular with kids and the parents alike. Coffee shop but bit pricey… bring your food and just buy the refreshments. On nice sunny days one can spend hours there. Parking is always an issues.

A lovely playground in Hanwell. There r 2 climbing frames, swings, roundabout, seesaw, rocking horse, springer and a rock to climb on. Nearby is Brent Lodge Park and Hanwell Zoo. There is a café, toilets and playground at Brent Lodge Park and it's only a short walk away. @playgroundadventures
