I would give 6 out of 5 if it was possible :) There are variety of coffee blends from all over the world. It is hard to choose but the staff is really helpful and knowledgeable. They guided me really well. I went for “Formula Rossa”, a blend of African and Brazilian coffees and “Kopi Luwak”,digested coffee cherries by the Asian civets. I paid £27 for 100gr Kopi Luwak which is fair given it is an expensive coffee. They asked how I brew my coffee and grinded it nicely for my moka pot. I brewed it as soon as I arrived home. The coffee was fresh and didn’t dissapoint at all.

Very simply one of the best coffees I’ve had in a long time. It’s super unexpected from outside that the place does take away coffees, very unassuming, very straightforward. Prices are also reasonable in this day and age. Def give it a go.

A Soho institution that's always busy and well staffed. Don't worry of there's a queue as it moves fast. I love their teas as I'm not a coffee drinker. Assam is one of my favourites. Freindly staff that never rush you to make a decision. Lots of other nice things , easy way to spend money.

This tiny shop is like an Ali-Baba cave for coffees! Selection is enormous, prices are very reasonable, and they can grind it for you. As a bonus, they have very good take-away coffee from £1, a large selection of coffee-making tools, teas, confectionery, hangover drops and even a samovar!

Are you also a coffee lover? Then you must visit this place. Although we have been living in London for a while, I would say that this place is a well hidden surprise on open sight. The moment you walk in, smells from different coffees will greet you and explore your mind. You can choose how you want your coffee grinded. Price is reasonable about £5.30 the 250gr. They also have selections of teas, but we did not try any. Lastly, you can have an espresso to go for £1. Probably the most delicious and cheapest coffee in London.

It is an amazing small shop in the heart of London❤️. In this shop you can find many types of good quality coffee from all over the world like Yemeni matari, Colombian, brazilian,..etc. You can get your coffee beans ground the way you like and add your favourite blend of spices like cardamom, cinnamon,…etc. I always get my coffee beans turkish ground and mix it with ground cardamom to get an amazing flavour. For mate tea lovers, you will find good quality matte tea🧉 as well as its accessories. I usually buy the organic one 😄. You can also enjoy your favourite ready hot coffee ☕️drink from their coffee machine in the shop. They have a good collection of chocolate and nougat bars😋as well as honey and jam. You can find tea pots, coffee grinders, moka…etc. It can get busy at times and you may have to queue up with other customers. The location in the heart of Soho is perfect and close to the train station.( Tottenham court station). The staff are very nice and very helpful . I highly recommend this store specially to my friends and to any one who loves coffee as well as to those who likes to drink matte tea 👍🏻.

Have wanted to visit for a while and finally managed to pop in. These guys really know their stuff and give great advice. My friend knows what tastes she likes but wasn’t sure what to buy and the staff advised her on what to get based on what she told them. Having just come back from Hawaii I was able to get some Hawaiian coffee, which was great. They are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable!

My favourite shop in whole world!! Love popping in to stock up on coffees, and sometimes – nibbles. It's maintained its traditional layout from when it was first established so it's something of a living and working museum. A gift for the senses. The aroma of coffees, the old wooden shelves and the glass jars.

It is a good coffee shop and although the staff is often very busy, they're quite happy to debate their preferred make of pasta! I don't bother with the tea on sale there. Interesting selection of Italian chocolates and sweet desserts.

I rarely give out 5* but this place is iconic. Walked past by chance and recognised it from a tiktok video, hence the visit. The coffee prices are famous for almost never going up, £1.50 for an impressive cappucino which was the perfect temperature, and smooth tasting. An unbelievable choice of moka pots and french press’ to buy, and the choice of roasted coffee beans is simply overwhelming, albeit not cheap. Visit this place people!

Great gem in the heart of Soho. Avoid your Starbucks and Pret A Manger's and buy here! Superb selection of beans and cheap takeaway coffees that taste great.

Eclectic shop, bursting with coffee, and all its equipments and accompaniments (think honey, sweets, biscuits, chocolates, etc.). It is more than a century old and I think it's definitely worth a visit. Unique!

Real gem of a place with a great selection of coffee at even greater prices. Lovely and quaint inside and the look and feel of it hasn’t changed in ages. A wee quibble that echoes what one or two other reviews have said - a few times they haven’t got the grind right and I’ve had to go back, but this usually only happens with what looks like a new member of staff.

I can only comment on their coffee and they truly are best whole bean coffee stockist within central London. Monthly specials with a choice of medium or high roast. An online shop where you can view almost all of their stock. Friendly customer service who are always happy to advise if you need some direction on what bean to try. They also have a huge range of tea that I am yet to try but their coffee is so good that I do not have time to drink anything else. They also sell the most competitively price espresso, Americans and latte around, where they always use their own bean/blend. You will never be let down or disappointed by The Algerian Coffee Store.

Great variety of coffee beans. Had the only espresso I could drink without sugar from a coffee shop in London. House blend is great. Will be back to get and try out different beans periodically :D

Absolutely love their espresso. Tried a lot of espresso, many that called themselves specificality coffee. I have to say, Algerian Coffee Stores nails the extraction and the blend of coffee, far better than many other coffee places that charge double. I have also been coming back for beans too, good quality, large selection and reasonably priced.

No better place to buy gifts for a coffee lover, or treat yourself! They have dozens of coffees to choose from, along with coffee making equipment, and even some sweets! Seriously, you won't want to walk out of there empty handed. They also sell Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, if you're looking for that. Worth the money

Excellent coffee. Very friendly staff and good location. There are also lots of coffee options: beans and/or ground beans as well as many coffee related kitchenware. I wish I had room in my luggage to carry them back home.

I can’t rate the food or atmosphere as I ordered my coffee and tea online. The pricing is good and delivery to Scotland was excellent. I ordered the organic Peruvian and it is an amazing coffee and the lemon verbena tea is so delicious and refreshing. Will definitely be ordering again.

Love it here. Amazing selection of coffees and teas. Always with friendly and helpful service. £1 for a quality takeaway coffee (keep it up 👍). Take it up to soho square and watch this area buzz with life.

I love this little gem of a shop. The smell emitting from the front door is intoxicating. The variety of teas and coffees available is mind boggling as is the number of different grinds available too. The shop is small so can filled crowded even with just four customers in it but pleased don't let this put you off

One of the few places in london that sell a fantastic range of fresh coffee beans. Highly recommended if you like coffee.

  • 4/5 Tom K. 2 years ago on Google
Very good selection. I'm not sure the coffee is as fresh as they say. I bought 3 coffees and one definitely tasted old and flat. The other two were somewhat fresher, but was not a fan of the flavour. Still 4 stars cause it was a nice place

A brilliant little shop. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff. Huge selection of coffee and paraphernalia. Also, cheap and excellent americano.

  • 5/5 Janis M. 3 years ago on Google
Recently ordered Indian Cherry and Limited Edition Spring Colombian Blend coffee. The flavour is amazing because the coffee is fresh. The ability to choose your roast and grind is something you don't usually see for a store that does delivery. I'll never buy coffee from supermarkets again. Can't wait to try new coffee.

Traditional coffee house for coffee lovers to top up on a variety of blends. Cheap takeaway coffee and just an unexpected find. Nice place to sip outside and people watch :)))

An excellent latte for £1.50 and they also have an amazing selection of coffee, I was asked what kinda grind I wanted on my coffee and how intense I wanted it when I bought some coffee from their very long menu- these people know their coffee!

This place hasn't changed in years and I love the smell of it. The smell of spiced coffee and all the other coffee smells together and literally makes my mouth water. They sell lovely tea as well I thoroughly recommend the ceylon Inverness tea. They also sell all types of confectionery and coffee making machines and they have a wealth of knowledge as well I also like the fact that they all were wearing masks when I went in there. I sometimes do an online order and that is always delivered promptly with no problems

I love my coffee so this shop was like heaven to me. As soon as I entered this small shop the smell of the coffee was just irresistible. They only have coffee to take away which was delicious and cost 1.50 that is nothing. I would like to go back and buy some beans as well. I did not have much time to properly look at everything but the variety of coffees and teas are huge. Also you can find everything else to grind or brew your coffee at home. Recommended!

Love the abundant of coffee selections here. They are also quite accommodative explaining differences of their coffee and taste, so if you don’t know where to start JUST ASK. Got quite few half-pounders, will definitely come back

I absolutely love this shop. Always have. I have been going for at least 30 years. For the last 7-8 I have not been in London, so we use the mail order which is an excellent service. Always really swiftly done. Lovely people, lovely shop, and - obvs - lovely tea and coffee :). 100% recommended.

Long time buyer. Visited once and was well worth the visit. Beautiful shop and so much characteristic. The quality of products is outstanding. And prices are exceptional for such high quality. And thanks to the staff for working incredibly hard over the last 2 yrs and this year especially. Thanks!

Nice quaint shop if you're stopping by for some coffee on the go. But if you're here to buy coffee, beware that their coffee is not fresh. The beans I got from them were clearly stale as they had literally zero smell & flavor, which is not too surprising as they keep their roasted coffee in some plastic jars and not in vacuumed bags or even airtight jars.

  • 5/5 Renan L. 2 years ago on Google
Unbeatable quality and price, plenty of options from all over the world. I normally go for the Brazilian Bourbon and water processed decaff coffee from Colombia, both are high roasted and the flavour is amazing at home, I also use a moka pot. Highly recommended.

  • 5/5 Michael C. 1 year ago on Google
A lovely quaint coffee (and tea) shop with a large range of coffees and loose teas from around the world. That distinctive smell of fresh coffee as you enter the shop is most welcoming, along with the very friendly and knowledgeable staff - especially Deanna who made me a delicious cappuccino and took the time to pose with my "coffee buds"! :-)

If you LOVE coffee and LOVE to try different types of coffee, then a visit to Algerian Coffee Stores is a MUST! They are a well oiled machine with so much variety. I was able to grab a few variety pack boxes and also try some of the espresso at the store. The staff was awesome as well!

Good service and atmosphere indeed, but for coffee geeks, never buy beans there (especially green beans) if you are not going to pick defects for the whole day.
