This is a nice small cafe with good food and tea. We had a full English breakfast and a salmon and eggs breakfast with earl grey tea for two. All of the food was good and tea was nice. Beware though a mugger stood about 15 feet away and eyed our bags as we sat at the table outside until we moved them between tables.

I came here twice—once for the full English breakfast and a scone, and once for the afternoon tea. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, and the scone was warm and delicious. The afternoon tea was decent—the cakes were a bit too sweet for my liking, but there was definitely enough food to fill us up. Staff are very friendly and the place has really nice decor with a very warm atmosphere. The cafe is a short walk from Buckingham Palace and is worth stopping for!

Came here with some friends for the full English breakfast. Super affordable and very cute ambiance inside. Staff was super nice and presentation of everything was great! I got the raspberry inferno tea (they let each person pick their own tea), which was really good if you like sweeter, fruity teas! We all surprisingly got really full and we didn't even finish all the food served to us. All the sweets were so delicious and not too sweet especially paired with the tea. The simple sandwiches paired well with the tea too. Definitely recommend--a lovely experience!

For sure a fabulous scones experience. Friendly staff, old english roses decor and nice fine porcelain to assure a delightful pause in your London visiting walk! Not an expert on scones but this snack was exactly what I was looking for! Went there on a Sunday afternoon. It was crowded but we only waited for 20 minutes to be seated.

We had Hot Chocolate and an English Breakfast Tea to drink. We both had a scone each, delicious - accompanied by thick cream and delicious strawberry jam. Great service and reasonably priced. I'm a coffee drinker, but when in England tea it's a must 😏 Thanks for a delicious afternoon tea guys.

This is very cosy place for a morning tea time with friends and fmaily. Or for a traditional afternoon tea 🫖 ceremony. Love it 😍 Location is spotless. Right near the Buckingham Palace, Victoria Train Station, legendary quaters of Belgravia 😻 Pop in for a nice time and sweet souvenirs featuring tea 🫖 time 🍰

This was the perfect place to have the traditional English breakfast for the first time. The tea was delicious and enough for 2 people, all the sandwiches and pastries were delicate and delicious. It might seem like it's not much food, but I left the place reaaally full! And also the place is super cute and cozy, and right next to Buckingham Palace :)

Definitely coming back next time I’m in London and a must visit. They had the best scones in the entire world(not too dense or dry), great tea, and a cute relaxed/casual environment all for a great price. 10/10 from me!

Yes, English Tea (or Cafe) place in London is here. Very nice atmosphere and worming location. We enjoyed very much our breakfast and the service. The food was tasty and fresh. The location is excellent, close to Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace. Our experience was very positive and we recommend this place very much.

Found this little gem online doing some research. On a trip to London from US. Scones and clotted cream are one of my FAVORITE things. Got to the shop and ordered. Was brought a scone with pre packaged store bought clotted cream and a tiny jam made for toast. Looking around others in the cafe had homemade clotted creme in a little ramekin, not in plastic store bought container. So disappointed. Tried to make the best of it. Made my scone and tried a bite. Does not compare. Took two bites. Was not worth eating at all. Not to mention scone was very dry. The waitress saw and never came back to the table to ask. At the register another employee asked how it was. And when concerns were voiced she gave an excuse that sometimes they use that if scones ordered for one. However the table behind us who ordered one scone got the other clotted cream. Bad customer service and not worth the price. Later went to Harrods cafe and had the cream tea… worlds apart! Don’t waste your time at this cafe unless you have a British accent.

The English Rose is a charming tea house that is a 7 minute walk from Buckingham Palace. You can have a full traditional English tea for 22 pounds per person that will blow you away with their selections of sandwiches, pastries, cakes, and scones. They take walk-ins only so plan accordingly. I’d recommend this place to all of my closest friends!

We enjoyed afternoon tea here but quality was not what I expected. It was fifteen a person. Scones, brownie and carrot cake were dry, the mini lemon cheesecake was good, sandwiches should be crustless in my opinion. They were basic. Environment was quiet. Compared to the rest of London, the decor needed a bit extra attention. It’s the little things that make a place stand out above the others.

Great little traditional tea shop. The service here was phenomenal. Friendly, helpful, kind, just great all around. The scones are great, a secret recipe that I wish I could have and the other cakes are nice. Lovely quaint place to sit. With a tasty selection of teas too

Amazing experience. Breakfast + coffee were delicious, everyone was quite nice. Does get quite busy on a Sunday so we got there at 9am on the dot to grab a table

A quaint, cozy cute little place. I wanted to stop and have an afternoon tea experience. See the pic. Yes it is expensive at 22 pounds but if you want this experience elsewhere, it’s gonna cost you around 30 the staff and service for excellent and the snacks were amazing, the tea options weren’t anything fancy to write home about but it was overall a positive experience.

Fancy tea session with good company. This is a good place to have a proper English Tea. Location: A 15min walk along the Palace. Food: value for money tea sets. Service: Friendly good services, for the team. Overall, a good value tea session.

We visited this cute little cafe after visiting the Buckingham Palace. The shop is very cute, quaint, serving great tea, and great sweets. We will definitely come back next time we are back to London.

I think everything was kind of dry but the service was great! The tea was yummy and the atmosphere was very nice! Not that pricey either, around $40 for two people.

Charming little Cafe, enjoyed our pantries and beverages. Didn't try their tea sandwiches and cakes as we had already eaten lunch elsewhere but the tables around us had all the trimmings. My scone was tender and delicious

We went in for tea and cake, and it was absolutely lovely. £22 (tip included) for two persons, which by London standards, is not bad at all. The food was delicious and the place itself is very cozy and "British", which is exactly what you are looking for after a long walk in the rain. Special mention for the non-dairy milks which are offered at not additional cost (which you don't see that often). The staff was also very nice. 10/10.

I always heard about the afternoon tea room in Londin, so I had to try it! I will say it's good, but a bit overrated! The deserts were awesome, tea and sandwiches were OK. I found this place that seems to be cheaper compared to others so if you want to try it too, go for this one!

I stopped in for an impromptu takeaway coffee one morning and the shop was quite a delight. The staff were very pleasant and while waiting on my coffee, a salted caramel brownie caught my eye. It was so delicious (but huge, prepare to share)...I brought my husband and cousin back a few hours later as they loved the brownie! A few days later we wanted to relax over a pot of tea so we went back in (without a reservation) and thankfully they were able to accommodate us (and our brownie craving). Skip the commercial overpriced tea experiences and come here for a much more personal experience.

This place is amazing! Happened to pass by, and decided to try the afternoon tea, as it was a very good price in the Middle of London, and we're so glad we did! It was not over crowded, the staff was super friendly and everything was so tasty - the scones was the best ones I've ever had! Thank you for a lovely afternoon

OMG thanks to Google I found this delightful cafe just round the corner from Victoria Station and at the bottom of Buckingham Palace. It really can be difficult to find somewhere that does a good breakfast at a reasonable price in central London. The English Rose will not disappoint. The staff are wonderful and the ambience they create in this little gem of a cafe is fab. I booked on line and had an email confirming my requirements soon after. Loved the odd cups and saucers and breakfast was ample. No rushing you to leave once you had finished I could happily have stayed all day, hope I will be able to get a table this time next year when I return to that part of London, although I may have to pop back sooner and try the afternoon tea. 💯% recommend this place you will not be disappointed.

Cozy, good choice of tea and delicious scones. Went there spontaneously, and it was a good decision. Did not wait long for service nor food, but the seating space is quite tight. They also sell tea sets and souvenirs, which makes it extra charming.

The place has a rustic feel to it. Kind of like in the old movies 🎥, even the music is from that time. I liked the area next to the door, you can see right across the street. To me it is a better than the one inside. Coffee was good, but the lotus cake is amazing.

I have lived in England for two years now, and this is the best cream tea I have had. Hard to go wrong with a warm homemade scone!

Very pleasant, cozy place with a good vegan English breakfast (same as the vegetarian one with eggs removed). Fair price for portion size.

I only got a cup of coffee but seemed like a great place for a light snack and tea/coffee of your choice. Cute cafe and loved the ambience. Would definitely recommend if you're passing by.

While traveling through London my husband wanted to try traditional afternoon tea and thankfully Yelp led us here! The English Rose is right in the theater district a short walk from Victoria Station, but far enough way that it's more quiet. The inside is so cute with a bar in the middle and two dining rooms (the front much smaller) on either side. Our afternoon tea was very delightful. We paid around $30 for a big pot of chai and a tower of treats! The tea was piping hot (it was near Christmas so we were thankful) and all of the items on the tower were delicious! Our waiter was very pleasant and the bathroom downstairs was very clean! Highly recommend popping in if you're looking for high tea that won't break your bank!

One of just a few places in London that do a decent espresso and the cheesecake is amazing. All at an affordable price and in a tastefully decorated place. What’s not to like.

What a wonderful little gem in the centre of London! Really glad to have stumbled upon it and especially the staff working there could not have been any more friendly and fantastic. I think the man's name was Alex, who provided the extra top customer service. The full English breakfast and coffee were super delicious and I'll make sure to pop in when passing by Victoria Station. Thanks again! X
