My sister and I braved the London rain for a much-anticipated brunch. We had planned to enjoy a single dish and dessert, but our experience turned out to be far from our expectations. We waited patiently for 45 minutes under the relentless downpour, only to be met with disrespect from one of the waiters. Despite the majority of the staff being absolutely wonderful, there was one lady who stood out for all the wrong reasons. Her approach towards us was outright disrespectful, which left us feeling quite offended. I had ordered the eggs royale, while my sister decided to wait until after our main meal to order her dessert. But the lady insisted we order everything at once due to the queue and how we won’t be allowed to stay for a long time, it seemed like she was accusing us of saying that just to not order anything and sit. She really made us feel like we were eating at her expense, when we’re literally paying for the service. We were not intending to stay for long, but we wanted to enjoy our meal at our own pace. We waited for 45 minutes, just to be treated with disrespect. Our coffees, which we specifically asked to be served with our food, arrived way before and were cold by the time our meal arrived. We asked for them to be remade, and thankfully, they obliged. Despite the unpleasant experience, there were some positives. The atmosphere was nice, and the food was surprisingly good. The eggs royale were delicious, and we also enjoyed the caramel french toast. The food was so good that we would consider returning just for that. We also noticed that a friend at the table next to us had a similar experience with the same rude waitress. She was told to go upstairs to find a table, only to be accused of lying by the same waitress. This was absolutely disrespectful, and it's clear that the staff's lack of communication should not fall onto the customers. However, the other staff members were commendable. They put in so much effort to assist customers in the rain, carrying trays full of rainwater and ensuring everyone was comfortable. One waiter even told us that we could stay as long as we wanted, which was a nice touch. Despite the bad experience, the kindness of the rest of the staff and the delicious food made it a memorable visit.

I have visited their branch in Harrods long time a go and it was lovely and the food was great. When I told my mom that I booked us a dinner in this restaurant again she was very excited. But I didn't know there will be no seating on the ground floor, and my mom who is an elderly with a lot of back and legs disability had to go through a lot of stairs to be seated, because there was no indication in the booking for people with disability about taking a lot of stairs and there is no lift option. The food was in no comparison to the last time, the chicken burger was 5/10 and Vol au Vent was not eatable my mom couldn't even finish the second bit. The only thing was tasty was the french fries. Honestly we couldn't wait until we are half at least finish so we can leave the place, and on top of that they don't have the service to wrap the leftovers to take away which was very strange given that they sell sweets and desserts in boxes and bags so obviously they can or should have the possibility to wrap the leftovers. I was very disappointed not what I expected at all for the amount of price we paid £130 for two people who didn't really enjoy their dinner. I'm never going back nor I would recommend it to anyone.

We went to Covent Garden last week and visited Laduree. They offer the options of either traditional tearoom seating or the outside seating for customers who like the al fresco dining . We have chosen a tearoom seating upstairs which was quaint and has a cosy ambience. The French desserts were lovely and looked classy. Although pricey, it was worth the experience. It was an indulgence for us.

Always long queue for tables so went for takeaway macarons instead. Tried some new flavours.

We deliberately arrived early in anticipation of a long queue due the Xmas markets. Orders the hot chocolate n pain au chocolat , hot chocolates, isoahan rose lychee based macarons with raspberries n cream (opulent) and the eggs Florentine. Everything was exquisite. Food thoroughly enjoyed. We did find the help a bit on the edge n wasn’t relaxed. They were quite in a hurry to clear the table as soon as they sensed we had finished. But all in all they were polite. Lovely brunch on a chilly Wednesday morning at Covent Garden’s heart. ❤️ PS the booking app is not to be trusted as it indicates they are fully booked till January!

The hot chocolate was amazing and so were the macaroons. We had cream tea, with scones, fresh cream and jam😍

This establishment in particular really is quite damaging for the brand. We ordered afternoon tea - the scones were tiny and hard like rocks. There were insects floating around in the mint tea (clearly the leaves had not been washed at all!). On the other hand the hot chocolate was very good… the service is good but I can’t give this more than 1 star because the quality was below poor… obviously it’s also expensive, however if you actually have a good experience it’s fine to pay the price for high quality/famous brands but this place is offensive!

It would be rude to go London and not visit Ladurée, the seating outside had a 20 mins wait so instead we got a take out. The flavours are amazing and the macrons are so soft and delicious, I took some in a gift box too, the chocolate hazelnut slice is divine!!

Nice decor inside and table and chair provided outside the shop where you can sit and enjoy the view. But the macarons and other desserts are too sweet to my liking. Service today was good and speedy. Marie-Antoinette tea is my favourite out of all.

This place use to be much better, visited today and I was quite disappointed. The sitting area looked quite messy and I was seated under the heater and the weather didn’t need a heater so I was boiling couldn’t wait to finish my food and leave. Ordered classic french toast which use to taste much better today it was soggy. Had a strawberry mocktail which was okay but nothing special. The staff were nice and friendly. For theirs high price, food and drinks show be much better than what they offer now.

Pistachio Cake at 📍 @ladureeuk Rating: 🤩 Tasty but wouldn’t go back Thoughts 💭 Pistachio cake was delicious and creamy with a slight wafer Center adding a new dimension of texture. The flavours could be a little better but it was overall a very satisfying cake. Laduree has delivered me my favourite cheesecake in the world. The counter women said their popcorn tart is similar - huge lie. They obviously never got the opportunity to try their cheesecake. I barely ate the popcorn tart. Reviews by @thefoodiestraveldiary

Service is good. But what you get for £18 for cream tea is criminal. I’ve had full afternoon teas in London for the same price and more food. The scones are not great. Can’t say they are awful but a bit tough. I’d skip this place for cream tea.

Beautiful setting ( in the upstairs part). Had a lovely latte and a vegan macaroon. Only one vegan option though for the macarons ( orange and ginger flavour).I found this more crumbly than the standard ones. Would definitely go back as a treat. Really nice service.

Luckily, I only had to wait 10 minutes for a nice spot upstairs. After squeezing past some tables to get to my chair, it was a lovely room to sit. The Ladurée hot chocolate it amazing, though a tad bitter, which you should keep in mind in case you don’t like that. The macarons were to die for, as always. Good price for Ladurée.

Macaron is its signature product. I bought two macarons (vegan chocolate and Christmas spice)...vegan chocolate was amazing... another one my friend said that it was okay not surprised. The price is reasonable. The staff are friendly. Recommended if you are a big fan of macaron

Excellent food, the fries were some of the best in London, and all the patisseries were of an excellent standard, service was brilliant and decoration is very nice. Overall a good experience but definitely expensive.

The inside is closed and even the wash room. The service is quite slow and the waiters are not careful when passing between the seats and tables

Delightful patisserie and sweets, great selection of cocktails and teas/coffees. The price point is a bit off in my opinion as it’s a west end terrace cafe with Mayfair prices.

Had a great experience here when I visited London many years ago. They have a terrace seating that gives a decent view of the market square. A bit pricey but their macarons and hot chocolate were great!

Excellent selection of cakes. However you are not ALLOWED to be seated outside unless you are having a full lunch (we were told this at 7pm). Swarming with Middle Eastern men, not really a lunch spot at 7pm... we were told me had to take our cakes away. Would’ve loved to have enjoyed our cakes while seated.

Have been there twice (last time in May this year) - once I bought for take away and we sat as well. Best French macarons - my favourite flavours are chocolate and raspberry. Cakes are tasty too, service is good as well.

The location exudes elegance with its beautiful decor and inviting ambiance. The staff warmly welcomes visitors, ensuring a delightful experience. Moreover, the array of exquisite products, especially their delectable macarons, elevates the visit, offering a taste of French cuisine excellence. A must-visit destination for those seeking a delightful blend of ambiance and exceptional treats. I also highly recommend the hot chocolate.

Having read enthusiastic review articles for the afternoon tea, we queued as a walk-in on Christmas weekend and were seated in the outdoor terrace by the friendly hosts following a short wait. The macarons were superb, as expected. However, other than the nice amuse bouche patisserie, the scones, stodgy finger sandwiches, mystery fizz, and indifferent service were otherwise a bit underwhelming. The neighbouring tables, who coincidentally appeared to be French speaking clientele, looked to be dropping in rather for coffee and patisserie which I shall be doing in lieu on any future visit.

Best thing we had was the tea and side salad. Rose tea was 100%. Cappuccino tasted only of milk, but they did have oat milk so that was a plus. White omelette was not really an omelette you can see the pics was just a flat disk with spinach all over and some boring goat cheese. Zero flavor. We didn’t finish that got 4/10. Avocado toast classic was boring, tasted mainly of humus not worth the calories of finishing. Service was not great had to beg to order and then to pay. Hostess was very stand-offish. Took long to order but food and drinks came out quite quickly. I would not be returning way over priced.

Settled in a corner of Covent Garden. Laduree has outdoor seating, takeaway and tearoom seating. The tearoom is very quaint and cosy upstairs. I was tucked in the corner which was very nice and cosy. Service was average. The macaroons and tea was good. A bit disappointed with the hygiene of the restrooms.

Best macarons in London. And I have tried quite a few shops. I think they are better than Pierre Hermes. Always go there when in London. And the coffee is super. Super pretty boxes as well for take away.

Ambience is nice, service not bad (some are friendly and some have abit of attitude, nothing personally happened but it was in their personality). I felt dessert was dry, isphan macaroon felt dry. Also, 10 pounds for a small size dessert is too much. 50 pounds for just 3 teas and 3 dessert is not logic really! Will I go back? Never.

Great place to get a small or large box of macarons. Pretty consistent in quality and lots of flavours to choose from.

You can’t fault this place, it is just pure class! Understand when you visit Laduree you’re paying for quality. My wife and I popped in after a shopping trip out in central London for a coffee and a cheeky dessert. This place just never disappoints. Go and treat yourself, you deserve it! 😛

Love this place and the best macaroons I've ever had!

  • 3/5 Al de B. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent tea seller/tea room but not always possible to find a table. The door is usually blocked by a line of tourists buying macaroons. It would be a good idea to separate the entrance if you can.

Stopped by after work for quick refreshment. Nothing impressive except prices. Tried selection of macaroons, but didn't find anything exciting. Was very disappointed with caramel flavoured
