Small restaurant with few tables upstairs. They do have a downstairs area but for some reason this was not being used despite multiple groups coming in asking for a table and being turned away. Visited in mid-December where the day temp was below 0. We found it quite chilly inside. It was generally a nice experience but I don't think I will return to this particular Bella Italia.

Management was very dodgy. With a restaurant half full we sat down to get some desserts after a meal elsewhere. We were told we had to order drinks otherwise spending £20-25 on desserts between four of us wasn’t justified for them. Seemed like a dodgy markup for no reason other than to con tourists out for more expenditure. I happily obliged and added a few drinks on but let them know I would be utilising a student/NHS discount code that was valid. Management looked hilarious trying to come up with a smart response but proceeded to say a food discount did not apply to dessert. Corporate has emailed otherwise and will be investigating. Popped across the road for crepes and ice cream for much better honest service.

Great gluten-free options for pizza and pasta. Food was excellent and staff was friendly. Perfect location too. I ordered the gluten-free pepperoni pizza with extra spice and it was delicious!

Came here and had a meal with my wife after a musical. Would say booking in advance is essential as it's in the theatre land. Food served was good. Good menu. Friendly and efficient staff

Valentina our waitress was magnificent. She is efficient, polite, and attentive. The food was very well priced: 22£ for a set three course lunch meal. For the area, it was a steal. The food was decent, but can’t beat it for the price. The dessert was yummy!

The worse experience I ever had in an restaurant ever ever! Saturday night group of 4 arrive in this restaurant. The manager seams wasn’t in a good mood or maybe with his personal problems. Absolutely rude and no manas to talk with anyone. We worded some drinks and started looking for the menu, after 2 min he came and requested us to order the starter and main course which we didn’t even have opportunity to even long. As he was so much in rush we decided to pick up few starters while we decided what to eat. Unfortunately we didn’t have the opportunity to even look properly as he was so much stress and pressure for us to choice. Unfortunately the situation start become very uncomfortable and we decided to not order anything else. As he got very upset he start have some argument with us asking for us to leave the restaurant even we have already ordered the drinks the most uncomfortable situation I ever had. He was happy to pay our drink just for us not stay there which I paid myself for my drinks. Definitely I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone and definitely I would highly suggest to the big group to do some training to this Man as he seems not happy at all and definitely need a holiday. I will never go back and definitely if I was you wouldn’t even go too.

Good food for a reasonable price on the edge of the theatre district. There are toilets available in the restaurant. Staff were very good even though they were constantly on the go. This is the less busy of the Bella Italias hidden around the back of Leicester Square, therefore normally not as much of a wait for seating.

Great food...... Amazing service...... Comfortable and warm inside! I'd love to come back here with my Niece again and enjoy even more of the items on the menu! The lady serving us was so professional and made us both feel great being there!!

Great food, I like the option for 1/2 pizza with a green salad. There was a mistake with one of the meals but the team were very quick to rectify. The restaurant is quite small so you feel very close to the back-of-house, we liked it, it added to the vibe but it wouldn't be the place for a quiet meal.

A great food choice in the packed Leicester Square area - fast and friendly service with a pleasant and clean interior - easy to see menu out front too! Best of all was the free main course offer with a simple email sign up, thanks!

The restaurant is full of diners, the area itself is crowded, and those sitting outside will feel more of the amount of people passing by. We decided to sit inside, the atmosphere is a little more comfortable for the diner, the food is clean, delicious and looks good. The soft drinks are served in cups, which is a little surprising, less delicious and less suitable for serving in a reputable restaurant. They don't have fresh/squeezed drinks for the kids. Service was very good.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was lovely and authentically Italian. The cozy ambiance and the view from the window added to the charm. The staff was also very friendly. It's a little pricey but worth it

Lovely food, well cooked, tasty and quickly served. I put four stars for service as it was busy lunch time and not enough staff. The food came quickly but trying to pay the bill took ages.

Lunch before our musical. The Christmas special menu was great, and we were served by Amoodi, who provided us an amazing dining experience. Would recommend if you want to dine before or after your musical.

Staff are very friendly and nice (cannot fault them). To sit outside in the Summer is wonderful. The only let down is the food ingredients & amount (nothing to do with the cooking or presentation), it is a very different restaurant now (after the pandemic) and it is clear they are trying to save money with cheaper ingredients & you only get a small amount for the money too. Unfortunately, with so many Italian restaurants next door claiming authenticity, Bela Italia need to be careful as I would be sad if they went.

Bella Italia is a well known chain. You get a reliable Italian meal in there and I wouldn’t usually write a review. However, at this place the service was outstanding. There were 3 servers on, 2 female and 1 male. This was some of the best service I have had anywhere. I watched them buzz around the place, they never stopped for a moment. It was busy, but they made it look easy. Worked as a team, were friendly and never missed a beat. Bella Italia, you should be proud of these people. Visited on 28/11/23.

We reserved a table as it was my husband's birthday. Had a lovely meal (2 course). Was treated to free lemoncello! Thank you Belia Italia! Then on to see 2:22 Ghost. Great evening!

It was good to get in from the cold and be welcomed nicely. We were accommodated well and didn't have to wait long for a menu or to order. The food was good for both tastes and price. We had the 2 course share lunch.

Came with my sister craving some Italian food. We were nicely greeted by Ilaria who served us throughout our culinary experience. She was very attentive, warm, welcoming and kind. I definitely recommend this place. It made us feel a homely presence and the vibes are great. Song choices too are 10/10! And obviously , the food was amazing !! Thank you 😊

Very disappointing experience. The pizza was undercooked and salty, the carbonara was plain milk and no sauce at all. We complained about the carbonara and they removed it from the bill, the service is good and the staff are friendly. Passion fruit martini was very watery and not sweet, tutti fruity was good. But the food was disappointing, I don’t think I will come back.

We tracked down from Argyll street BI (which google said was open but it doesn’t exist!) to Leicester Square who would not sit us because they were taking a delivery in the middle of lunch hour (good business sense!) to this little BI on the corner near now closed Portrait Gallery ( this outlet was also supposed to take a delivery but agreed to accommodate our party). We appreciated their flexibility and sat outside, it was mid week and not busy as there are very few tourists around still. The food arrived quickly, despite them warning us of delays- it was a pleasant surprise. We had pasta dishes all round: Bolognese, lasagna, creamy mushroom and duck ragu. My family wolfed theirs and didn’t complain, washing it down with an ok-ish Moltepulciano. For me, duck pasta was a little on the cold side. But tasty nonetheless. The portions are not huge. The native Italian waiter called Fabiano made up for the food with his banter and lifted our tired spirits. Would probably not come back unless I am starving and nothing else is open.

Truly enjoyed ourselves. Though it was busy, the food arrived in good time and everything tasted wonderful. The mushroom starter is especially good and the lasagne over here is my all time favourite. All of the staff were very welcoming and attentive. We were served by Celine and she welcomed us warmly and paid good attention to us, making sure we had everything we needed and checking in on us regularly. Very impressed!

A nice restaurant with outside seatings as well. The place was busy but the service was fast. Waitress was super friendly. Food was very good. Location is good as well, there are three locations within the walking distance. You have to check your bill as many restaurants these days add gratuities in the bill according to the size of the group.

This location's history fascinates me. The wait staff was excellent. There is no need to wait. The best restaurant was Bella Italia - Irving Street. The atmosphere transports you to another era. This steakhouse is fantastic. Everything about it is perfect.

Visited last night, around 8:30pm with my best friend. We were seated inside and our food came really quickly. The waiter/manager? was so friendly, took a photo of me and my friend for us and turned up the music a bit so we could sing along. Great food, great prices and a great location.

Not a bad place to eat on the street or just off. This meal was better than the one we had earlier at Marko Pier Whites steak House. The guy front of house is quite entertaining 🤣

Excellent food and excellent staff!!! A most attentive yet not overpowering member of staff who right off the bat enquired of any food allergies were in our party....top staff!! Only time we've ever been asked that! The food was superb and the varying tastes to the dishes was amazing!

Pouring rain, needed somewhere to eat and quickly. Stumbled into this place mainly as the quickest way to get warm and dry. Staff quickly organised a table for us. Great service, super friendly staff. Order taken quickly and food arrived promptly. It looked great and tasted great, salads were fresh, the pasta dishes full of flavour. You don't always expect great food, service and value when you're eating in the heart of a tourist area, but this place delivered for sure. As a Londoner, I'd be happy to go back.

Amazing post theatre meal! Iasmin was running around managing the restaurant incredibly. So busy yet like a swan not showing he was rushed! Food was beautiful and price was really good for London! Thankyou for a yum meal!

We hadn’t booked, but staff accommodated us and found us a table, for our pre-show meal. Service was brilliant. Staff attentive even though the restaurant was full. Decor was relaxing, a real cosy Italian feel to the place. Our drinks then food arrived quickly. It was hot and cooked perfectly. Our waitress was welcoming and friendly. Definitely eat here again when next in London.

We Pre-booked but they were surprised upon our arrival. Being very warm we asked if inside was cooler and we was directed to outdoor seats without a response to my question but as it was very early evening I understand that more guests sitting outside looks busier to passing trade. We had a child with us but no child menu was offered and it took nearly 10 minutes before we got asked if we would like to order a drink? I asked for a child menu to which we received and was expected to order meals without so much as time to look at the children’s menu. We asked for more time whilst they made our drinks, and upon return we placed our order whilst mentioning that we had a voucher towards our meal. Nothing was mentioned further when we chose our food and the food started to arrive. The starters were disappointing, the bruschetta was burned and was not very well presented. The meatballs were bland with burned bread and the sauce was watery and over peppered. For mains we had Vegetarian Pizza which was ok, nothing special. Pollo Cacciatore which was again ok, nothing special and slightly overpriced for what it was. We also had a child’s Spaghetti Bolognese which looked like it had been cooked yesterday. Very dry and not well presented at all, just slopped in a bowl. We asked for the bill at the end and notified them again about our voucher. We was then told that the voucher wasn’t valid when it was as per terms and conditions. We was charged full price for the child’s meal, which should have cost £1 as they advertise. Based on our experience I highly recommend avoiding this branch or even Bella Italia full stop. There is plenty of options available locally to this one and other Bella Italia available nearby.

Totally amazing food. They get 5 stars. The service they had 3 people, but they asked if we wanted our garlic bread with food which was ordered to be paired and they said they would bring it out together. They didn't. So it was cold by the time we got our main course. Otherwise everything was amazing. The music was great and the servers were very nice :)

Best meal out we have had in a long time! Friendly staff who served us with a smile! Delicious drinks and amazing food. My husband made dietary requests about his pizza and they were fulfilled without question! The only downside was the toilets- but it was late on a very, very busy day so i wouldn't hold it against them! 😁
